[Resolved]  Virgin Mobile / Mobile — Customer Service

I purchased mobile set with connection online. I get delivery on time & activated next day. As per letter i received & a phone call from virgin mobile co. they have to send their executive to collect my documents. But till date nobody came. In between this period i talk to customer care peoples 8-10 times but no solution. Then on 4th Nov. i personally go to virgin mobile outlet at Centerstage Mall Noida(U.P) & deposit documents. But on 5th Nov morning they deactivated my services.I again called their customer care(sales) no. 60016666 & they told me that it was their mistake & my no. will be activated in 24 hrs. but nothing happened after 24 hrs. I again called & they told me that they not received my documents it will take next 24 hrs. But after next 24 hrs no improvement today morning on 6th i again called on above mentioned no. & talk to Mr. Avtaar singh he write down my compaint & give me complaint no. VNT07008422 & told that it will take 24 hrs. I dont know how much 24 hrs they need to rectify their mistake. Problem is from their side & i am suffering.

Virgin Mobile - Vsleek — Talk Time not credited as shown on Website

On 12-Sept-2008 on VIRGIN WEBSITE (http://www.virginmobile.in/phones_special_offers_vsleek.html) it was mentioned that VSLEEK handset is available for Rs 2999/- and is available with following stuff
1. A free starter pack and a virgin mobile connection.
2. Free talktime worth Rs 2000/- to any mobile operator
3. Lifetime validity.

On seeing this add I purchase Vsleek on payment of Rs 3000/-. Till date (13-Sept-2008) I have got validity till 2011 but the talktime of Rs 2000/- has not been credited to my account.

On 13-Sept-2008 I called your customer care and complained about talktime not been credited. She ( CC Representative) confirmed the same from your website and logged my Complaint with Reference Number VNT07007041. She confirmed that the talktime will be credited to my account in next few hours. But the same has not been done till now.

Now the customer care is refusing to credit the appropriate talktime saying that there site is wrongly updated. In this way they are playing a FRAUD with customers.

Even today their site shows buy VSLEEk for Rs 2999/- and following is written on it (http://www.virginmobile.in/phones_special_offers_vsleek.html)
Take a look at all the nifty little stuff you get with your shiny new vSleek:
– A Free Starter Pack and a Virgin Mobile connection
– Free talktime of 2000 local minutes to any mobile operator (yes we’re that generous)
– Lifetime Validity


THE NECESSARY EVILS

400 minutes will be credited to your phone every month for 5 months from date you activate your phone. These free minutes will be valid for 30days from date of credit.


Terms and Conditions
• Includes Lifetime validity voucher worth Rs. 295/- and starter kit worth Rs. 99/-
• The Free minutes credited every month would be valid for 30 days from the date of credit.
• Lifetime validity is applicable as per license period of the respective telecom circle of TTSL & TTML subject to change in regulatory
or License conditions governing TTSL & TTML operations.


NOW THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING ME TALKTIME. PLS HELP ME TO GET WHAT THEY PROMISED ME. It has caused me mental harrasement and has wasted a lot my time. I want compensation.
All companies playing FRAUD should be heavily fined. Write to DOT. YOu will get benefit.
This comes under Consumer Protection Act and also comes under UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE. The options let open to you is 1. to file a complaint giving full particulars about the web page which makes you to purchase the handset and not crediting the free talk time. You can also pray for damages for wrongful advertisement and mental agony also. Be clear and it should understandable to the presiding officer of the Consumer Forum and it's members. You can also send a petition to MRTP Commission.
I[censored] go consumer court, u have them by balls.

The case is urs, also sue them for extra amount, charges of advocate and all
you should ask them for extra benefits as compensation above those which were mentioned in their website. I hope you will notonly get the benefits as described by them in the website but an extra will defienetely be their for toping up the case.

Don't give up my dear friend.

Just think, If you were a postpaid subscriber and you didn't pay their bills. Just imagine what did they had done to you. Now its your chance, you must encash this chance my dear friend.
Remmber to keep Website hard and soft copy. they will change it soon.
Now I have to think again b4 purchasing Virgin.
Go to consumer court.
Do not give up. take them to court the have to pay even charges paid by you for court case + Compensation.

The office people of the Virgin mobile centre are extremely rude. The customer care number[protected] doesnt work in English/Hindi, there is some other language in which you get response. On requesting the Delhi office people at[protected], they shout at you, and rudely keep the phone on your face, they are not even ready to talk. In all, the overall experience is horrible.

Haier Mobile Vtrendy / Virgin Mobile, Mobile Store — warranty, they charged me for replacing handset under warranty period

i have purchased a handset from mobile store haier v trendy with virgin connection, its display stopped working within a month and i went to service centr of haier mobile they told to come after three days, when i went there they gave me a replacement certificate and told to take it to the store from where i purchased my mobile and my mobile will be replaced, so i went to mobile store, they replaced my mobile after i went there two three times but charged me rs 90 telling that now the new handset cost rs 90 more than what it cost when i purchased it, i think this is un fair please help me out i have given rs 90 as i was in urgent need of mobile

I am suffering from the same problem. I purchased virgin mobile on 2nd January, 2009. It was activated soon after my shopping. But they suddenly stopped outgoing service on my mobile on 9th January, 2009 without informing me the reason. They the people from the mobile store called me on 10th January evening and informed me that my house alottment letter has been rejected. 10th was Saturday off day in my office. Then they stopped incoming service to my mobile from 11th January morning. I immediately produced the residential certificate from my office (Defence) at 11.15 a.m. on 12th January. They assured me that it will be activated in the night of the same day. But still I am suffring from the problem. Today is 15th January. No number is working, even customer service not working from my mobile. Total service is barred. The retailer told me that they would be sending the document in the afternoon and that will be activated within 48 hours. But still it was not activated. Whenever I am calling, from others' mobile, customer care they are saying that the document has not been reached, so they cannot activate the connection. Now I am trapped in between the retailer and the virgin service provider.I have taken one more residential certificate from a scientist. I have forwarded the scanned copy of my residential certificate with an e-mail. But still no effective action has been taken for the service inh my mobile as per their requirement mentioned in their portfolio. It is my sincere request to activate the connection.
Hey all it's very true virgin has very bad service .
I have been using virgin mobile for 3 months and they charge from my account very early but never gave me bill .I requested many times but every time they say we will do but never.After 3 months again an sms came and saying we will charge so and so amount from ur account against ur bill no this and this.I dialled the useless customer care I shouted a lot about my monthly bills and very next day they closed my no. and after enquiry I came to know that they took my anger as a request of disconnecting the connection.This is hell man how a company can do this to any of the customers.
I requested to start my no. again and they say it can't be started .
