Vodafone — Poor service and poor network
I am Mrinal Gupta. I am having vodafone postpaid connection, delhi/ncr region, mobile no-[protected] for the last 3 years. For last 8 months I am working in Lovely Professional University Jalandhar, but from past 7 days I am not getting network access in my hostel room. I call Punjab region customer care to register my complaint but they told me I have to register my complaint in delhi region on [protected]. I register my complaint on 18th March 2010 there but problem hasn't been solved yet. They are saying that there is no problem from their end and call punjab region customer care to register my complaint. When I am paying the roaming charges I have the full right to get proper service but they are making a mockery out of it. I am suffering financial losses due to their poor service. Please suggest what should I do. [protected] could i get the details of this number

this is regarding the vodafone's poor customer service in ncr region.
i'v been using vodafone connections initially known as essar, for last 10 yrs.
somehow out of stupidity i got another postpaid no. and thats when d trouble started.
i got my no. disconnected due to prob of address verification. i called their customer service and sorted d problem.out of some weird reason the connection is again disconnected on the same basis.
this has happened 3-4 times nw, with me spoiling my mood on each occasion.to confirm this calus attitude of voadafone, a frnd of mine had a similar experience.
we live in a age where customer is d king not d other way round.
FEDUP OF CALLING THEIR HELPLINE NO. UPTENTH TIMES I'M PLANNING TO DISCONNECT ALL MY CONNECTIONS n go "AIRTEL".THIS SERVICE HAD NEVER BEEN SO POOR.
perhaps vodafone's management should keep in mind that retaining a customer is more imp.NO WONDER AIRTEL RANKS NO.1. n VODAFONE DISTINCT NO.3.

Vodafone — Discounts not given on bill
Hi Sir,Im a vodafone postpaid customer for last 3 years. My billing cycle is 3rd of every month to 2nd of next month. The current bill which Im writing complaint about is 3rd feb 2010 to 2 march 2010.
My STD call rates are Rs 2.4/Minute but I had STD promo pack Re 1/minute was activated on my mobile number. So I was charged @Re 1/minute . But on Feb 12 , 2010 I activated new plan STD @ .50 Rs per/minute which has rental Rs 49/month.
Now in my Bill They have charged my STD calls Rs .50/minute for the calls which i did after 12 feb 2010 , which is absolutly fine but calls before 12feb 2010 have been charged Rs 2.4/minute instead of Re 1/minute.
I think my promo plan STD Re 1/minute was activated till 12feb 2010 , so that should be applied for calls.
The total STD minute i did in this bill are 667minutes, so if i had not activated that STD Rs .50 /minute plan then I would have to pay Rs 667 for STD charges as my STD Re 1/minute was already there.
Actual STD charges without any discount would be 667*2.40=1600.00
But after activating that plan they gave me discount of 659 only which for the calls after 12 feb and my STD charges are 1600-659= 941, so actually here I ve to pay around Rs 300 extra. I talked to customer care they say earlier plan was deactivated so I'll be given discount only after 12 feb.
I think customer takes any plan or promotion packs to get some discounts not to pay extra money.

Vodafone — Incompetent Pre-Sale services.
I, Flt Lt Vishal V Banka, had applied for two postpaid cards under the corporate plan on the 13th of Mar 2010 at Vodafone store, Vimannagar, Pune. It was surprising to know that the people working there were very clueless of their work.The manager of the store Mr Amit had to make me review the plans atleast three times. He was himself confused of the plans which could come under the defence. But finally he did manage to get me through the correct plan the next day and I finally applied for the same on 14th Mar. I was told by the manager that the verification will be done either the same day or the next day. But the commitments I guess mean nothing to you as only after me visiting the store once again did the verification officer appear at my place on 19th Mar. I thought finally the phone numbers will get activated, but all in vain. I finally gave a call to the customer care and found out that there are some problems with the verification. The same was not intimated to me by the Vodafone store inspite of they having my alternate number. I visited the store once again and the people working in that store were once again found to be clueless.Vodafone — false sales

Vodafone — Illicitly disconnection of number
I received a Sales call from Vodaphone Customer Service on 15th or 16th March 2010, whether I am interested in converting my prepaid number ([protected]) to postpaid connection. As I was busy at that time I asked the person to call back. He did however repeatedly while I was in a meeting so in a jiffy I told him NO I don't want and not to disturb me anymore as I am in a meeting. On 17th March 2010 while I was in Fortis Hospital with my child my connection was barred. As it is a prepaid connection there is no reason my calls will get barred, therefore I went to the Vodaphone Customer Care at N.I.T. Faridabad where I met with an executive Praveen who told me that the connection has been barred as reportedly my mobile has been stolen. He said they received a call from [protected] stating he is Me and my mobile is stolen so please stop the number. Apparently this call was from the same person who was trying to sell me the postpaid connection. I further tried to complain against this to the Manager/Boss of the Centre Kunal who said they will deal with this internally and didn't even furnish me with a Ref. No.Although my connection is revived and services are back however I'm an unhappy consumer as they didn't take any action, not even apologised to me for all the hassles as I had to leave my daughter with my wife at the hospital where I was required equally to sort this insignificant issue.
Vodafone, Ncr — Parity in Prices of Offers
Vodafone people are offering Unlimited SMS pack to the postpaid subscribers @ Rs. 199 whereas similar plan is offered to prepaid subscribers @ Rs. 89. Comparatively to other service providers, too the prices are hefty.
