Vodafone [censored]ers can BEG AT OUR DOORSTEPS RATHER THAN CHEATING US.. That would be fair deal.. Monthly BEGGING BOXES AT EVERY VODAFONE OUTLET can be kept..
ALL OF MY FRIENDS ARE SAYING VODAFONE SUCKS A LOTTTTTT!!!
HUTCH WAS FAR FAR BETTER... But VODAFONE [censored]ERS CAME OUTTA NOWHERE TO BUY HUTCH AND MAKE THE SATISFIED CUSTOMERS OF HUTCH UNHAPPY!!!

WITH UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS AT THIS HIGH RATE I WISH THEY RUN OUT OF BUSINESS WORLDWIDE..
First stop SPONCERING ENGLAND CRICKET TEAM!! ITS A BIG SHAME TO THEM!!!

Vodafone — Wrong Disconnection

I got myself a new Vodaphone connection (effective 11th August 2008) on my shifting to Delhi (from Mumbai). Though I have options of going in for other service providers I preferred as I was holding Vodaphone (Mumbai) connection for almost 6 years and was quite satisfied with their services.

But I have nasty (excuse me for using these words) experience with the service standard of Vodaphone Delhi.

i. Though I have requested for change of Tariff plan, it is yet to be changed.

ii. I have been denied access to customer care (# 111), now for more than 2 months. On inquiry I was informed that my access to customer care has been discontinued because Once, on a single day I had called 4 times to customer care. In such cases the customer is debarred access to customer care, due internal policies. The customer is kept in dark about such customer unfriendly and ridiculous policies.

iii. My mobile connection was disconnected (without any information) though all Bills are paid up-to-date. Though they realize their mistake (without any apology) I was asked to present myself at their Customer care center with documents for verification. I spent my half a day just to get the reconnection though the phone was disconnected by VODAPHONE without any information to the customer.

iv. The service at Vodaphone's Customer Care Center can not be worst than my experience (Noida Sector 18 ). Utter mismanagement from the word go (rt from the entrance). You can not enter with out the number slip form the automated machine which, though managed by the Guard present, doesn't work or take almost 2-3 minutes just to print your queue number. Customer care executives are too slow, taking an average of 15 to 20 minutes each customer. Imagine your wait time when only 2 counters are working. You land up spending on an average 2+ hours just to talk to the executive, leave aside solution to you problem.

v. They have all ways to add to their bottom lines (illegitimate means). Calls drop regularly after every 1 minute. They earn while you get frustrated.

vi. Detailed call billing was discontinued (by a mere SMS) in the middle of the billing cycle though a part of original plan as Free. Informed that same can be started again only from Next billing cycle. Strange.. No detailed billing for current month... and one has to pay for the same from next billing cycle. Sheer highhandedness.

Vodaphone Delhi Customer Care needs pulling their socks, atleast should learn from their Mumbai counterparts.

Vodafone — Network issue closed without addressing

This is my review for what I consider the most pathetic telecom service provider in planet Earth. I am wondering if Vodafone is going to take any action after reading this. I am sure there are thousands of reviews like this on this service provider. So let me get straight to the point.
On the 18th of November, 2008 at approximately 2000 hours IST, I called up the customer care (unfortunately I don’t remember the dick head I spoke to) to register a network coverage compliant. The service registration number for this compliant is[protected]. I received a SMS further stating the service registration number and an assurance that the same will be responded by the 29th of November, 2008 before 1800 hours IST.
Having said this I would like the readers to know the background of the issue. I stay in JP Nagar 9th Phase in a first floor apartment. The network coverage in the apartment and as a whole in the area is very bad. When I am in the house, the network goes down completely (only emergency calls allowed display could be seen) and I come out of the house to receive any calls or to make any calls and I need to walk further out of my apartment to get a good clarity for any telephone conversation.
So coming back to 18th of November when I lodged the compliant, I specifically told the customer care (Happy to help executive) that I could be reached only between 7 in the morning to 9 in the evening on a week day and on weekends my mobile might not be reachable because of the network coverage and I can be reached on my landline BSNL number.
After waiting for 11 days, today 29th of November 2008 at 1930 hours (hour and a half after the promised deadline to address my issue), I called up the customer care. The first call goes though after being on line for close to 3 minutes only to hear from this arrogant “Happy to help” executive (Laxman.S) that I need to dial a different number (Vodafone has the saddest IVR options) to know about the status of that issue. I wanted him to transfer the call to the “Happy to Help” enquiry department. He refused to do that. I wanted him to get a floor manager / supervisor to attend the issue and I was refused again. Every call centre has the possibility to transfer the calls to their supervisor if the customer is irritated. It’s not like Vodafone is using outdated equipments. I am a person who gets irritated very easily for these crappy responses. But I hold on take a deep a breath thank the “Happy to help” dickhead.
I dial 111 again and wait for Vodafone to advertise their conference facility. Looks like it’s never ending. Finally I get the enquiry department (For all you guys who might be facing this problem – Dial 111 select 1st option, select 4th option for the enquiry department) and the dick head this time around is Karan (with a smart [protected]@# attitude). So after the initial verification I am being told that the issue has been closed. I was shocked here. I told him that I didn’t get a feedback for which Karan says “Now that you have called – This is the status and he reads me the status “ The problem stated in the mentioned area both indoor and outdoor are normal and the issue is closed. I don’t understand this. First of all indoor refers to my house and I know for sure that no one has sneaked into my house without my knowledge. And secondly who the technical department had told me that I will be called and then visit my house to check the network. I did not get a call nor did someone from Vodafone come to the house. I explained this to Karan who plainly told that “the team must have tried reaching, but you would switched off the mobile” Now what the [protected]@#K does Karan think of me. That I lodge a complaint and then switch off my mobile? It’s disappointing that Vodafone has these executives with a “I am smarter than you” attitude. Shame on Vodafone for this!!!
How these service complaints are closed based on some false information from a person who has not done his job. Does Vodafone think that customers are jobless and not bothered about the complaints which they lodge? Does Vodafone think they can fool around like this?
I need a specific answer with regards to my compliant. I wouldn’t have complained if I didn’t have an issue. But when I do have an issue I make sure it is heard of. I will not let this incompetency from Vodafone slightly. Last time around when I had a similar problem, I had written to the nodal officer (ravi.[protected]@vodafone.com), the mail bounced back.
This is not the first time I am writing on Vodafone & their pathetic service. See my other review on Vodafone here:
http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Vodafone_-_formerly_Hutch[protected].html

Vodafone — Cheating in bill

Hi Sir,
I am consumer of Vodafone and purchased a value added pack/schema of Rs.444 and value added pack of Rs. 29 for free SMS.
By purchasing these above two packs, I made all my SMS free.
But to my surprise I got a bill in which all the SMS sent on 27th and 28th Oct 2008 will be charged at the price of Rs.1.20! On placing the complaint with Vodafone, customer care executive told me that he is unable to lodge any complaint on the subject because they have specific instructions from TRAI to charge all the SMS sent on peak days. So I have to lodge my complaint with TRAI website.
That is another surprise! TRAI does not have any working website right now (I cannot send any screen shoot with this present complaint).
My questions: -
1. When I already paid to company Rs444.00 and Rs.29.00 in advance for taking care of my SMS charges per month then why I have charged again?
2. If TRAI have any such rule on the place then they should publicize that before any such peek day comes. Why they did not do that?
Please respond if you can.
As per my understanding this is going to be a very big fraud done by TRAI and service provider with customers.
Thanks
Abhinav/

Vodafone — Caller tune activation calls

Vodafone No.[protected]

Reaspected Sir/ madam,

I am very much frustated from your services your customer care executives call 6 to 7 times on my number in a day.if a person dont want to activate caller tone why you pressurise.plz stop these unnecessary calls on my phone
sir,
I am jayaseelan now i have postpaid connection in talkmore 100 plan i decide to cancel my postpaid connection and change into prepaid my mobile no is [protected] so pls accept my request and change postpaid to prepaid as soon as possible
i am not a happy customer, when i ordered the phone the first sim card did not work"[protected]"and was sent a new one"[protected]"i was then sent 2 welcome packs for both numbers and i asked not to be billed for both numbers and was assured i would not and that the number "[protected]" was now cancelled. This was untrue as i received a bill for both numbers for£130 which i said i could not pay and was then told i would have to pay £86.79 on the 27th Nov but which was taken on the 25th Nov and having not enough funds in the bank at that time i was charged £35 from my bank for failed s/o. the phone was then cut off but i then paid £86.79 by debit card on the 29th nov there has since been another £86.79 taken from my bank without my permission on the 2nd Dec which is going to put me in the position where my mortgage payment will now fail due to not enough funds because they have taken this extra £86.79and i will be charged a further £35 for another failed s/o i complained about this and was told i would have to see my bank and ask for an indemnity claim to get the money back which will take time and i will still be charged by my bank. I think in fairness i should be entitled to some sort of compensation over the way these matters have been handled from me first pointing out the error to me now being charged for their mistakes. But in reality there will be none as there customer service team is incompetent.

Vodafone — I have asked to disconnect my Number but yet not done.

I have told Mr. Nilesh of Vodafone Lower Parel Store to disconnect My Vodafone Family Plan having 6 numbers on 10th of October 2008. Nilesh has assured that all the numbers will get disconnect within 5 working days but till today means till 3rd December 2008 the numbers have not got disconnected. Regarding this I had a talk with Sandesh Patil (Manager Back office) he told me for the problem I faced he can give me Rs. 300 reversal but I said no and told him to strictly disconnect my numbers then also My numbers have not got disconnected. I have the letter in writing given by Nilesh that he has accepted my earlier complain and will permanently disconnect 2 numbers and will convert renaming 4 numbers in Prepaid. So from my side the case is very strong.

Vodafone GSM Network — No network available since 26 Nov 2008.

My cellphone with Vodafone sim card is not having access to the network since Nov 26, 2008 till today. Vodafone does not seem to be taking any steps to rectify this. It is not a handset problem because an airtel sim card inserted into my phone is working. Also, other Vodafone nos. in my house do not work. It is a problem with network availability. I live in Valmiki Nagar, Tiruvanmiyur Chennai and the problem is being faced at this location.
