Vodafone — unwanted VAS
Sirs,Regret to bring to your notice the unruly and un-cooperative behaviour of few customer service agents of Vodafomne.
Last month, a message was received from Vodafone that caller tune services are being activated on my prepaid number 98******10. Immediately the call centre was called and informed that this service is not solicited and hence please do not go go ahead. I was promptly asked by the agent to dial *567*514# which was done and a message was forwarded saying that the same would be done within 4 hours. The conversation happened at around 12.15 pm on 10th Decemeber ( If I a remember correctly).
After few hours, the tune was activated and then my balance went down. On taking up the matter with the call centre again,they just refused to listen and put the blame squarely on me saying that the request for activation had come from my end. Even after telling that there was a message stating that the same would not be activated, they were adamant and refused to co-operate.
The matter was taken up with the Ghatkopar store and after narrating the complete incidence, they apologised and said that a refund would be affected. The same was done as per promise.
Today again there is a message stating that " YOU ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE ON THE CALLERTUNE SERVICE. YOUR MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION OF Rs. 30/- WILL BE DEDUCTED ON 9TH JAN 2010. IN ORDER TO CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE SERVICE,PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT BALANCE IN YOUR ACCOUNT. TO UNSUBSCRIBE PLEASE SEND CAN CT TO 144." ( the message was received in two parts ).
I have asked for cancellation of the same by sending an SMS to 144 ( CAN CT ) and also by dialling *567*514#.
Please note that the service is not required and has not been asked for by me. Have no idea how VF claim that their system has a request from my end as I have not asked for it.
Hope the same fiasco is not repeated again as speaking to customer service agent has been futile and his uncouth behaviour has raised suspicion that there is a different motive - making money thru unwanted VAS.
Would like to add that the prepaid service agents are unruly and are not fit enough to be there in the first place. I am stating so as I personally have had three chances of interacting with them and have also heard from friends of their travails.
A mail has been sent to vodafone for redressal too. This is for info.

2 din bad fir ek excutive ka phone aya or usne kaha ke m apko fewer dila dungi ap payment de dijiye...
mne use kaha ki thik h mai payment kra deta hu but m 5 din age ka cheque de deta hu jb tk ap mera fewer update kra dijiye agar nai kraya to m cheque stop kra dunga wo maan gyi n mne cheque de diya...

Vodafone South Limited — Unwarrenting Outstanding claims by the company
This is saibabu, I have shifted by 2 mobile connection [protected] & [protected] from Airtel to Vodafone due to total disappointment on the service approach of Airtel in anticipation that Vodafone will entertain a good relationship to its customer. However sorry to say this even i am disappointed on the service protocol taken by Vodafone Customer care. They have suspended the mentioned two number mentioning pervious service provider outstanding due. When approached Airtel for payment irrespective of the dispute in anticipation not to give false opinion on my integrity as a customer of Vodafone, Airtel said payment cannot be accepted since data base has been moved due to portability. Immediately connected Airtel service provider and was conveyed that Vodafone care will be appropriate to take up with. Same has been communicated on the same day. The executive said that there will no problem until i default their (vodafone bills). Hence it was not further escalated. However with surprise the number where suspended without intimation and no support how to rectify. Hence i took decision to surrender the numbers by writing to Vodafonecare.[protected]@vodafone.com as instructed from customer care on November 11 and forwarded again on November 15, 2010. Yet to receive revert on it.Present scenario is that, Today (08.01.2012) being a sunday, Ms. Lalitha from Vodafone calls me for outstanding payment on the two numbers and terifiers that it will be escalated. Why i am supposed to pay the amounts for which the service has not be rendered itself.
It all appears to be that these service providers take only the possibile enviroments suitable to them to suck money from the customer. This is has to be escalated and justice has to prevailed out of it

Still there is no action taken by Vodafone & regularly every month they are generating my bill, so many mails send to concerned people.

I am writing to you after numerous hours spent on phone with Vodafone asking them to explain my inflated bills over Rs3000 in the last 20 days. I am in a corporate CUG and have unlimited internet facility for Rs99 as part of this package. I had asked for activation of this plan in early December. Somehow, the customer care now tells me that they have activated some service to support my iPhone internet usage. I told them that I am not aware of this and did not request for this. The customer service is snail slow and considering my previous experiences with them, I do not trust them anymore. Vodafone — wrongful oppression by company
my no. Is [protected] and i have activated GPRS pack on my no. Company billing is that i will get discount for gprs scheme only once bill gets prepared and till the time unbilled amount will be shown as gross.Just because of fault in company's billing process they are irritating me that my credit limit has exceed and forcing me pay big amounts which i am not supposed to pay at all...
I have explained this process to co. Executives not less 10 times but still every day they are disturbing me and asking me pay the money which i am not liable to pay..
Pls do the needful...
