I (S. B. Nandakumar) here to explain the difficulties faced by me for the trip to kailash & manasarover trip arranged by cox & kings. Giving payment (Rs.283000 for 2 persons), handing over passport for chinese visa and getting only permit, till then everything ran smoothly. On the night of 8/8/19 due to heavy rain cochin airport got closed. My flight tickets were cancelled by indigo. On contacting cox & kings emergency number mrs. Rachna vyas and through email of leena raghav, they informed me that, last moment cancellation, i would not get any refund and they suggested, try to book another flight from kozhikode to kathmandu. I booked ticket on 10th august 19 and reached kathmandu by 11th aug 2019 by 3 pm.in the evening at 4pm the coordinator, manoj kothari and his team of sherpa from fishtail called for a get together in le himalaya hotel. There we got information our visas were not ready. They had changed our itinerary from the original itinerary provided by cox & kings. We were in kathmandu till 13th of august with no sign of visa. Afternoon 12 pm received the news that visa is granted and we have to cross chinese border before 3pm on 15th aug.19. We left from a poorly maintained hotel the amadablam hotel in kathmandu to hotel namaste, syabrubesi (3 sharing basis) near the chinese border on 13th afternoon and travelling on a heavily raining night on a slippery road of nepal by bus was hair raising and dangerous. Total time of travel from syabrubesi was 17 hours (Including 4 hrs. Due to landslide)
On 14th morning with fanfare we left syabrubesi after breakfast and after an hour into the journey, due to landslide we were stuck up for 4 hours. By afternoon, after having lunch on a wayside restaurant, we reached by 3 pm nepal –tibetan border. After crossing the border reached saga by midnight of 15th aug 2019. Had dinner by 2am chinese time or 11.30 pm ist. 5 persons dormitory was given in grand hotel. Total time of travel from syabrubesi was 17 hours (Including 4 hrs. Due to landslide). On 15th aug 2019 high altitude sickness caught up with 60 % of our group. This led to a frenzy and cox & kings coordinator and nepali sherpa from fishtail started using foul and insensitive talking. No loving words only grandmother stories. Then on 16th august we all left for manasorover. Total time of travel from saga to manasorover was 10 hours. 6 person dormitories for rest. After taking bath and doing puja on banks of manasorover lake, we left for manasorover lake parikarma by bus. Reached darchen by night 10 pm on 17th of august. Here dormitory with 14 person with single bathroom and toilet facilty was given. Here again cox & kings coordinator and nepali sherpa from fishtail started using foul and insensitive talking. They declared nobody above age of 60 yrs can go for parikrama and gave frightful experience of earlier pilgrimages. When more than 6 person became stubborn whose age was above 60 yrs rebelled, he told no responsibility will be on him. He told all ponies are sold out and cost of the ponies are rs.35000. (Later on trip we came to know it was only rs. 10000). He gave a fright if you don’t reach derapuk and halfway return back then our accommodation has to be rebooked by us and travel back to darchen is on our own expenditure. Both nepali sherpa was shouting and using derogatory language as if we were refugees in order to get asylum in their country and our coordinator supporting the same. All ladies, many young men fell into the prey of their foul language. Only 50% percent was ready to trek for whole parikrama. If nice soothing words and helpfulness was granted still some more persons could have joined us. Both our cox & kings coordinator as well as lead nepali sherpa was trying to back us out from parikrama. On 18th august my wife and my friend’s wife informed manoj kothari for booking return from tibetan border to kathmandu by helicopter, we are ready to pay for the same but fell on deaf ears. On 18th august left for yam dwar doing our prayers most of the ladies and some men folk went back to darchen. I and my friends started walking 12 kms with a plastic cover given by sherpa containing only an apple, 1 bar chocolate, 1 biscuit packet, 1 gauva juice tetra pack and few wet wipes and reached derapuk by 4 pm.5 person dormitories. There again cox & kings coordinator and nepali sherpa started all have to go for oxygen level test and adding fear factor of the danger for next day travel. I and my many friends were cool under this barrage of fearful experience given by our cox & kings coordinator and nepali sherpa. Many a time i felt whether they are human and why they cannot give good advice. I think lord shiva want to test us. Early in the morning of 19th august, by 6 am, 22 km. Trek with a plastic cover and with eatables, our entire group with sherpa started to move at a great pace wherein it was totally dark with rain and some snowfall.in pitch of night we were able to make our way through the rocks only by torch light. Neither cox & kings coordinator nor nepali sherpa were seen till daylight broke out. These two guys were resting and watching us struggling to reach them. No help on the way. Then again started picking up some members of our group and state that they have to return back. But our will power and religious belief to see mount kailash pulled us along. On the half way mark i and my bengali friends were having good walk but for slight breathlessness this nepali sherpa started using his belligerent shouting but we considered him as a fool who with no manners. Seeing this he walked off. After 5 hours we reached gauri kund. Then travelling down and flat plain reached zutulpuk by 6 pm. All 11 persons including 5 persons above age of 60 reached our resting place in zutulpuk. 6 person dormitories. I found right from manasorover no light was provided. No hot water was provided for cleaning our face and leg in zutulpuk. Neither cox & kings coordinator nor nepali sherpa helped us any way on this trip with kind words but only being hostile and trying to turn us back. On 20th august after 10 km trek bus picked us up and dropped us at darchen. Left darchen by 10 am and reached saga by 4 pm. 4 people in a room. Started from saga by 5.30 am on 21st august and got stuck up in jilong for more than 6 hrs. Again blame is not on the neither cox & kings coordinator nor nepali sherpa but, the group got into the bus late from saga. Again they were sidestepping on the mistakes they made. Left jilong by 1 pm and reached tibet - nepal border by 4.30 pm. The whole group was not provided with lunch or dinner on 21st august, 2019. We had only a small break for tea and biscuits at a way side restaurant. From 9 pm on 21st august till 22nd august 3 pm, all had to spend the entire night in the bus braving heavy rains and landslides. Next day morning, cox & kings coordinator and the nepali sherpa both were missing. No breakfast was provided on 22nd morning too. The coordinator has deliberately skipped on one day’s meals and we were left to fend on our own. All the people in the group and myself had to cancel or change our flight schedule to next day. Again neither cox & kings coordinator was not of any help, as net service was not available. But some members of our group had international roaming facility thus we could contact wife, daughter, sons for rescheduling of tickets but our cox & kings coordinator was absconding. His version was he was trying to book helicopter to lift us off from the mountain but not successful.in between my wife and my friend’s wife was in near exhaustion state so, we tried to book personally a helicopter through a person but no helicopter came due to bad weather. The sherpa from fishtail insisted me to give cancellation charges or they would confiscate my indian passport, again cox & kings coordinator was of no use. It was as if manoj kothari was under the sherpa’s influence totally. Wherein many members started questioning the part of the cox & kings coordinator in the whole trip. His nepali sherpa was also questioned for his foul language and inhuman treatment of an educated lot and highly placed officials as refugees. When they saw that they were being questioned, both of them fled the place. We reached kathmandu by 7 pm. On the way again cox & kings coordinator again informed that hotel charges to be paid by us and breakfast free but lunch and dinner to be paid by us. But later we were informed that we could stay at le himalaya free of charge for one more day. On rescheduling charges he informed that is for us to decide.
What i got the impression is cox & kings coordinator is a passenger and he used to listen only to nepali sherpa from fishtail wherein he used his power to subdue us. If cox & kings which has more than 260 years of experience has to improve their standard of package to kailash manasarovar, then they must not enlist manoj kothari and the nepali sherpa from fishtail for further trips. They will bring shame to the organiser and tourist will lose faith on your capabilities.

    Came from kailash yatra a couple of days ago. The treatment which my group got from your side and fishtail was pretty bad. Neither cox and kings nor fish tail took care of yatri stranded in flood. Moreover never followed itinerary and as result there was one casualty in saga. Harshful treatment of travellers by nepal guide spoiled the entire charm of yatra. Should have taken care that yatris come after paying the amount you demanded and are meted with ill-treatment at the hands of petty guide s who even doesn't know to talk decently. We were left alone when flood came and whole group hadn't had lunch dinner or break fast. At least employee someone who is educated and knows how behave with guest.

      This is regarding booking id 1107419. Booked the american glimpse - east coast (Summer 2019) on 20-june-2019 for travel date of 09-sep-2019. Advance payment was done in partial amounting to a total of rs. 78, 354.00. On 29-july-2019, cox & kings representative, deepika anpat called and mailed that the tour has been cancelled as the minimum operating strength was not achieved. Requested for refund of money as tour was cancelled by company after giving assured departure. The only update i received after this is that the refund has been sent to the head office for processing. I have been following up with cox and kings representatives especially yash sata and deepika anpat but they don't seem to have a clue about the status of the refund. I wrote to the customer care desk and neither did i receive an update nor the status of the refund. It is almost close to a month and the money has not been refunded. This has turned into a harassment for me. Help! Hoping for reply and refund soon!!

        Hi,
        This complaint is for non issuance of credit note till now that was communicated for cancellation of european trails trip, proposed date 10th oct, 2019. The trip is booked with booking amount of rs95000 for 2 person on 21st of may, 2019 from kolkata.
        The trip date is changed 2 to 3 times by coxsandkings, which is not suitable for us. So we has words with coxsandkings team and they promised us to issue credit note of the entire amount. We received a mail, that our request is under process, but till now we didn't received any confirmation on this item. Please do confirm us on the credit note immediately in a day or two else we would ask for refund of the amount as per whatever your company terms and conditions.

        Hope you will look into this matter with utmost priority else we will be forced to take some drastic measures against your organization.

          It's been months tht our trip is cancelled but we haven't received our money. I understand the situation is bad with cox and kings people. But please return my money. I am begging you. I just wanted to take my parents as we have been through many problems. Please don't add us into more... Please give my money back.. Please don't do this to us

            Flights: ek 525/ek133 to moscow via dubai
            Copenhagen to hyderabad via dubai: by ek152/ek526, august 9/10, 2019
            Meal types requested while booking: vegetarian (Non-jain): santi kumar ghosh
            Hindu non-veg: sreetama ghosh
            Mr. Kishore kumar kuppala handed over the flight tickets on july 24. As the tickets had no mention of meal types, i requested him both verbally and by whatsapp message to ensure that i get vegetarian (Non-jain) meals and sreetama ghosh gets hindu non-veg meals on the flights.
            In the hyderabad to dubai flight we were both served jain veg meals which we could not eat. From the dubai airport i whatsapp messaged both kishore kumar kuppala and saritha kanpuri about the error in our meal types. While kishore kumar didn't reply, saritha replied that she would be requesting for the necessary changes.
            Once again we were served jain veg meals on the dubai-moscow flight.
            On august 9, the day of our return from copenhagen, early in the morning, i once again whatsapp messaged kishore kumar and saritha kanpuri about our meal types. There were no replies.
            Once again on the return flights copenhagen-dubai-hyderabad we were both served jain veg meals on both the flights which we could not eat.
            As we remained very hungry on all the flights, we had to purchase meals at every halt during our onward and return journeys.
            On all the occassions the flight crews did not heed our requests for meals of our choice. This made us feel extremely humiliated.

            Our sufferings from hunger, humiliation, not receiving services we paid for and finally, eating at our own expenses call for adequate compensation. Even a token compensation of 200 euros will make us consider cox and kings for our future tours..

                Dear concern

                I want to share the harrowing experience of the trip which i went with your company to israel and jordan dated 23 may 2019 to 3 june 2019. I am a senior citizen and have travelled before through your company to various international locations but this time it was an extremely bad experience. I was given customised tour by your ranchi executive (Kahkesha) inspite of regularly asking about group tour because earlier i have always went on group tour with indian manager but subsequently it was observed in the tour that there was no involvement of cox and kings and it was sold to some other local agency named "consolidated tour operators tel aviv israel". This trip costed me inr 3 lakhs whereas based on an advertisement from your company dated 9 june 2019 it costs only inr 1.31 lakhs plus gst (During durga puja titled"the great durgotsaver holiday sale"). So it is case of cheating your customer and i believe that your employees are working with low professional ethics and money making policies. Post returning i have also brought it in the notice of shri amit chattopadhyay (Kolkata office), mrs. Diya patni singh (Ranchi office), mrs. Kahkesha (Ranchi office) through mail and telephonically but of no use. Its been almost a month and i have not been given a proper reply to my complain. Hence talked to mr. Amit chattopadhyay regarding my complain. And after a month he said that i cannot deal with this matter and refer it to customer care.

                I am attaching the details of the mail:

                This is regarding my above mentioned trip with cox and kings, where i was shortchanged by your team in ranchi office executives and had a harrowing experience throughout my trip. This needs to be understood by your esteemed company that i am a senior citizen and your team made a fool out me. Below is the gist of the harassment i had to face for 10 days in a foreign land. I had to pay through my nose for this trip as later it came to my knowledge that your company provides the same trip for inr 1.3 lac and i was charged in dollars and ended up paying inr 3 lacs and there were multiple additional costs which was absolutely not accounted for.
                1. I had booked for a indian group trip however even after asking for the fellow travellers list i was denied rightful information. Upon reaching tel aviv it came to my knowledge that i am a sole tourist from india. I was left alone in a foreign land with absolutely zero knowledge of the next 10 days trip with fellow travellers.
                2.in a foreign country with language barrier i was just received at airport by a lady and handed over to a cab driver and the driver in turn just dropped me at the hotel gate and left. Upon reaching hotel initially denied any booking under my name and after continuous perusal they pulled out my booking information.
                3. The hotel was of extreme poor quality and they did not have dinner facility and i had to spend the night in empty stomach. Please bear in mind that i have to take certain medication at night which i had to miss because of lack of food. My age is 64 years.
                4. Throughout the journey i was given hotels of poor quality and extremely out of city limits where i don't have any means to step out in case of any emergency. I had to spend nights in secluded hotels for almost 14 hours and mind it there was not a single person in the vicinity.
                It used to take more than an hour after dropping all the passengers to the renowned hotels in the heart of the city.
                5. I am a senior citizen and throughout the trip not a single hotel had porter facility, i had to carry the heavy luggage on my own.
                6. Not a single water bottle was provided in the hotels or in the bus. I had to purchase water throughout the trip which definitely added to the cost.
                7. Few of the hotel not provided electric kettle or any means to heat water for my us
                8. I was dropped off the airport gate without any further support (Wait for 8 hours) and the immigration desk had asked me plethora of questions and it was a traumatic experience. At a time looking at their questioning pattern i was afraid that i might land up in some immigration issues.

                After spending inr 3.5 lacs (Approximately 3 times the actual cost of the trip) i got such poor treatment and bear unnecessary mental harassment, i need to be compensated for the same.

                The local players in the market offer much better package at a highly competitive cost. I have travelled internationally multiple number of times and never had such pathetic experience.

                Below is my travel history with cox and kings.

                This is highly dissapointing and henceforth neither i will travel with your company nor will i recommend in my circle.

                I need this matter to be looked into with utmost urgency and a necessary action to be followed.

                Unfortunately yet again very unprofessional attitude from cox and kings. Your executive kahkesa simply said i have got your mail and will work on it. But there is no formal response even after a week of my complaint.

                It's very clear from the attached receipt that this tour was falsely customized without letting me know. I had been asking about indian group trip and your executive kept lying through their teeth that it's a group trip. They just wanted to sell their product. I had asked continuously about tour guide but to my shock i got to know only when i reached my hotel in tel aviv. The whole point of buying a trip from a renowned service provider is to have a relaxed and safe holidays but your team ensured just the opposite. For 10 days i had to worry about my stay, travel, food, water and any other emergencies. Forget about a nice holiday i only paid a lumpsum money to get mental pressure in a foreign land.

                I have anonymously checked with your team for a same trip and was shocked to know that it's available for1.5 lacs during durga puja holiday. Does your ranchi office executives have no ethics at all that they cheated a retired person of his savings so blatantly.

                I hope your management team will hear me out and that i will not have to follow up once again.

                After following up for more than a month mr. Amit chattopadhayay who had earlier said to me that he is looking up on this case finally said that please refer it to customer care. I believe this is a very unprofessional attitude of a people of holding such high post.

                Please look into this case firmly and request you to refund 50 % of trip cost.

                  It was really cheating for us and bad experience from cox and kings. Also, eternity was changed at run time and as per the package 5k photos will be supposed to take from their side but not even overall 100 photos are taken from your service.

                  The way cox and kings works is annoying. The staff sucks to the core. Staff asked millions of time for the amount. As they cheated us no one is replying. They cheated us saying there was no offer at your booking time.
                  And few trip members had booked the package without offer with 35k only. We need the money back.

                  This is not expected from a reputed traveling organization. In case of the refund not responding thought their tour guide (Abbas and Guddu Puri)has committed company will refund you.

                      We have booked european glimpse package (20th jul’19 to 30th jul’19 – booking id 1098947 and 1098795) through cox and kings on 16th may’19 and completed all the required payments as per terms and condition on 17th may’19.

                      Initially while booking we were told that visa processing will start within a week, once me make payment. Thereafter, we kept on following up for visa procedure from cox and kings but there was no proper response from visa agent.

                      We did number of calls and messages, then he sent us the document list and firstly he said we just need to send scanned copy of documents and can take original documents along with us during visa appointment.

                      Thereafter he changed his words and asked us to send visa documents by courier.

                      Then on 4th of june’19 we were informed that our package was not operating as many travelers visa were rejected in package that was to depart on 20th jul’19 and there were not enough passengers to operate the tour. And they shifted our travel date to 22nd jul to 1st aug’19 (Booking id – 1104664 and 1104658).

                      On this we even questioned, other passenger’s visa procedure has been completed and for us they even did not started anything yet and what if our visa will also get rejected!!!.. To that we were told that if there is no problem with our documents, we won’t be facing any issues in visa approvals.

                      Then we have send him visa documents on 5th jul’19, but cox and king’s visa agent mr. Nishit kept things lingering and on continuous follow up finally he booked our visa appointment on 21st jun’19.

                      On 21st jun’19, cox and king’s visa agent mr. Nishith handed over the required booking voucher, tickets and other documents to us for visa proceedings.

                      To our surprise, while checking documents we came to know that the flights for which confirmation was taken from us and the flight which was booked and provided for visa approval were different.

                      To this we even questioned cox and king’s agent mr. Vishal suthar that why were flight tickets different, but to that he said this we are supposed to submit provided ticket only for visa process and that’s what we did, we proceeded with all the documents and submitted it to visa office.

                      And then on 3rd july’19 we received our passport along with visa refusal letter from embassy, same is attached herewith.

                      The reasons mentioned for refusal are

                      1. The information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of intended stay are non reliable

                      2. Reason to leave territory before visa expiry cannot be assertained.

                      Following reasons are no way applicable on the documents submitted on our part. They are solely based on cox and kings documents part.

                      The tickets which were provided to us for visa application and tickets for our travel were different, also on checking the flight ticket status of the one which was provided for visa approval says reservation includes incomplete or cancelled flights.

                      As the ticket was already in such state they had no proof o[censored]s going just for vacation and leaving territory before visa expiry and gave us above mentioned reasons for visa refusal.

                      While booking package we also inquired if can process our visa on our own for which we were said its mandatory to apply visa via cox and kings

                      Due to cancelled ticket provided by cox and kings that this lag of documentation lead to our visa rejection.

                      Kindly note that none of the documents were missing nor we have taken any actions which can lead to visa rejection.

                      Hence it can be concluded that there was lag in cox and kings manifest error or documents.

                      We have already sent email to cox and kings thrice but there is no reply from them.

                      Even they have not informed us anything about what happened to our booking, what about our money which is with them.

                      It is really painful for us that due to their mistake our visa got rejected and which has raised question mark on our credibility without any mistake from our side and in addition to that our money is blocked and we had to cancel all our trip plans.

                      We have already asked cox and kings to settle the matter by rescheduling our trip with in 3 months but to that also there is no reply from there side.

                      Request you to look into the matter

                        I am manjeet khanna. I am a 70 year old lady. I made my trip through cox and kings for mauritius. The dates were as follows —
                        16/6/2019. To 22/6/19. The package was made through cox and kings cannaught place. Cox and kings consultant was sudeeksha. She made all the package for mauritius. We are traveling through cox and kings since 2000.
                        I want to make a complaint for sudeeksha as she is completely irrisponsible. I am not satisfied with the services provided by her. She not humble. She has no knowledge. She is not eligible for this post.in future i will not make my package through cox and kings cannaught place.

                          I opted for leh-ladakh kitchen tour for group of 8 pax in june 2019. Since my mother has preference for jain food, the sales representative yusuf colombowala suggested that i book for kitchen tour where pure veg/jain food is assured as the chef travels with group. Also, as i booked for 8 pax, yusuf agreed to provide separate vehicle for my group at no additional cost. The normal tour cost for leh-ladakh for may-june'19 was inr 39000 ex-delhi, while i paid inr 44000 ex-delhi for kitchen tour, premium for food preference.

                          However, ground reality was totally different. Since, cox and kings did not have adequate number of bookings for kitchen tour for the particular travel dates that i selected, they shifted my group to normal tour without informing me. My family was served at hotel only and meals were prepared by the hotel chef in common kitchen (Where non-veg. Food was also cooked). There was no separate chef nor any separate kitchen as originally promised in kitchen tour. Also, the hotel was not informed that one group member prefers jain food. There were 3 enroute lunches in the trip and none of the places had jain food. My mother remained hungry on all those 3 occasions as the tour manager had not shared her food preference with those restaurants.

                          And to top it, though my group was shifted to normal tour, it was not put up at the same hotel that was offered to normal tour clients. My group was put up at hotel mogol while normal tour group was put up at jeevanam villa, which was better compared to my hotel.

                          I paid premium charges for the services i never received. Infact i got sub-standard treatment throughout the tour and the tour manager mr. Sajad was highly incompetent. He did not bother to make our group comfortable or check for feedback. Highly mismanaged tour. Last two days of the tour, we just kept waiting for the vehicle to arrive but tour manager gave lame excuses and gave priority to his other groups over my group.

                          I neither got services as promised of kitchen tour nor did i get the hotel stay that normal tour people were offered inspite of paying more as compared to normal tour charges. Heights is when i complained to sales rep yusuf, he said that though my booking was shifted to normal tour (Without informing me) i was charged more because they provided separate vehicle for my group. As already mentioned, the separate vehicle was agreed to be provided at no extra cost and i have email proof of same, so if cox and kings intended to change tour category, they cannot levy hidden charges for separate vehicle.

                          I need refund of differential amount of inr 5000 per pax (I. E. Inr 40, 000 in total for 8 pax) for cheating in the name of so-called kitchen tour.

                            Sub: american sojourn-summer2019 tour undertaken by r. Ayyandurai and p. Vallinayagi from[protected] to[protected] through cox and kings of chetpet, chennai-600031 branch. Deficiency in service regarding.
                            Myself r. Ayyandurai, joint director of agriculture (Retd) passport j4701896 and my wife mrs. P. Vallinayagi, dy. Ccm (Retd), s. Rly passport j8554408 undertook the above tour. During july 2018 last year, we both went on a super european tour through cox and kings. Based on the grand success and satisfaction, this year we opted for the american sojourn 2019 and also recommended my friends mr. V. Dhanasu and narasimhan for this tour. But to our disappointment, there were lots of lapses this time, which led to a lot of sufferings to us. The details of lapses are as follows,
                            1) the original travel plan date of june 2 2019 was postponed to june 9 2019, which made us to face some inconvenience. The travel documents were given only at short notice.
                            2) the travel kits were not given.
                            3) no proper receipts for the payments.
                            4) this time the cox and kings has not deputed any fascilitater to guide us at chennai airport.
                            5) after the very hectic flight of about of 21 hours, from chennai to los angels via dubai, we were made to wait about 2hours at los angels airport for the arrival of bus. For senior citizens like us, it was a very horible moments. Further the tour manager mrs leena alva is not very accommodative and the driver was very rude.
                            6) the given itinerary was not followed.
                            7) at los angels and sanfransisco the hotel accommodations were not standard and faraway from main cities. Frogs and spiders were found.
                            8) sub-standard packed breakfast and dinner were served, which were against the itinerary and norms. We never served the international standard breakfast in this tour, as given in our europian tour last year.
                            9) instead of so much preplanning, again we were forced to wait about more than one hour at the buffalo airport. The tour manager was very helpless and run to the corner, to avoid the ire of the travelers.
                            10) at wasington the air condition of the bus completely failed and only hot air blown, which was a unimaginable horrible situation. We were made to walk about 5km in the hot sun to see the american secretariat. The family with 5 month old infant abandoned this visit in view of bus failure and hot weather.

                            11) having known the field reality and worst mood of the travelers, the manager mrs leena alva had not collected the given feedback forms.
                            12) the tour manager's inability, impatience and poor handling of issues were the main reasons for the problems.
                            I request the cox and kings ltd to consider the failures and compensate it suitably to all the travelers. Otherwise we will be forced to approach the consumer fourm for necessary remedies.

                              I traveled to europe by the package french swiss medley on 8th of june 2019. We had horrible experience during the period. My wife was not feeling we on 8th early morning before the flight she severe pain in abdomen so we thought we will cancel the trip unfortunately there was no 24 consumer support services available so we couldn't do it. We even called to the 2 emergency numbers given to us that also didn't work. Later we tried to call mr. Ali our local correspont, he also didn't pick up the call even after multiple phone calls. As i'm a doctor somehow i manage something and went to the airport. I was surprised to see my ticket was on other pnr and my wife's and my daughter's ticket was on other pnr. When we informed the person who came to the airport from the cox and king side, he said i am just here to count how many people have come here, you call the local guy who arranged your tour. I again call mr ali multiple times he didn't pick up the phone. I called mr mridul (Mridul. [protected]@coxandkings.com) customer care executive who had booked our package, and ask him to please look into the matter and make me and my daughter and wife sit together in at least in the next sector of flight from muscat to paris. That was not done. I'd also requested him to make the arrangements such that are flight from zurich to delhi be such that we will be sitting together but that arrangement was also not made.in between my trip during this days i called the customer care of cox and king at least 50 times, dial the required extension of mridul, even left voice messages but there was no response at all. I had send my concern and request regarding the seating arrangement to the email id [protected]@coxandkings.com for at least three to four times but still there was no response. It was a difficult time in the flight my 4-year daughter and wife was sitting far from me. Even my wife's and my daughter's seat was not together, both the seats what aisle seats so when they were not together during the takeoff or landing. It was difficult to see my daughter was crying in the flight during the journey. I had send the same message crying of my 4 year daughter still i couldn't get any response how insensitive people can be. The hotel's they provided were stingy, very old it required renovation.
                              We were taken to cuckoo clock factory and given a card by the guide saying that it will give 15% benefit. Later on we came it was for identification for commission of the guide.
                              On the 4 or 5th of the tour we were told that on the last we be taken to lucerne by them. But things changed on the day of the tour we asked to pay extra money for same.
                              Even the price of package was grossly different. Such things is not expected by reputed company like this. Same package which we took for same number of person cost us rs 486, 705 and to a other person mr sunil bansal of our cost him rs 406, 522.
                              How can a responsible tour company do such a gross mistake of splitting the family and book the ticket in 2 different pnr.
                              Holidays are for relaxation, but this trip was mental torture. It was quite unprofessional by cox and king.
                              I feel, i have been cheated cox king very poor service, gross mistake, irresponsible and insensitive staff, unprofessional guides,
                              Surprisingly now as i am writing the email still have heard anything from cox and king side

                                  I am writing this email with utmost regret after being associated as a client with cox & kings from past few years.

                                  The experience with "cox and king" has totally gone bizarre, and it had turned out the worst. Last year we have booked the group tour for "highlights o[censored]k - summer 2019" and have paid advance 2, 50, 000 /- and now all of a sudden the team has canceled the tour just a month before our travel is scheduled.

                                  Is this a way you guys handle customer experience?

                                  The team dealing with this have been found playing around in circles from past few months with us first, by not providing us the exact clarity of dates and tour and now cancelling the tour without the prior notice. These type of behavior is highly unacceptable and shows unprofessional approach towards handling customers.

                                  Its is really hapless that we connected with such a worst travel agency. I would like to have all my money refunded within 2-3 days along with the interest applicable. Else we would be filing a complaint against the company for the loss of money and the time we wasted on such a team of #.

                                  Even customer care is not responding just have lodge the request and it has been a month now any no communication

                                    Dear amreen maam,

                                    Please refer to the trailing mails. At the outset i regret to bring out my grievance to you and your senior management. Honestly it is very unfortunate that as a customer or traveler, we have to face this unpleasant experience. I assure you that i will bring my grievance to all platform possible including consumer court by today evening be rest assured is i am not assured that the package i have selected is not booked today.

                                    The trail mails completely brings out that at no point you have mentioned me about the last day of giving the advance amount. It may be noted that it was me who was more concerned about paying the token or advance amount and you have taken it very unprofessionally. Further your management needs to understand that whilst you can call us anytime you feel, we are obligated to call you through call center routing. Despite having your local desk contact or extension, it has been the most unpleasant experience of reaching you on phone or communicating during times o[censored]rgency. Either the mumbai landline is not picked up or either you extension is not picked and if it was finally connected you have not been available on your extension even a single time and this is no exaggeration.

                                    I have explained you that being a armed forces personnel i have to apply for noc clearance. For your records i am sharing the proof. I request kindly do not share it further. This is meant to make you realise that the information that is being shared from my end is genuine.

                                    I was aghast at your statement that "since i have not given the advance payment the package is now not available". It shatters the customers trust in the big brands like cox & kings. No where that you have communicated the deadline for advance payment. It was me who was pushing for the advance payment and i even requested to you to share the link last week. You on your own decided that you will share it on saturday. I agreed with it. Then you mentioned that you will share it by 1400 hrs however till 1700 hrs when i had not received the link, i tried reaching you on landline, however, as usual it was of no use. Thereafter i made a mail also to you and you at your own disposal decided not to reply and wait for monday morning to communicate regarding non-availability. I am sure these decisions of your are linked to flights hassles and pricing uncertainty view iran's tensions and route changes or some other price escalation issues which you don't share with customer. However, i beg to differ on your statement that view non payment of advance amount form my end landed me into this soup.

                                    If my issue is not resolved prior lunch i shall address my issue to your headquarters in uk and all feasible traveler agents including thomas c thottathil, head - corporate communications
                                    Email : [protected]@coxandkings.com and bring it to their attention that how genuine and innocent travelers are being mis-manipulated. I shall also bring out all the trailing mails on social media and seek addressal thereafter.

                                    I kindly request that please maintain professionalism and do not succumb to such cheat philosophy.

                                      I m sorry to say that regarding my complaint dtd.[protected] Cox and Kings has closed my complaint with remarks as "resolved", without any attempt of studying my complaint. I have already provided main details of my booking but they have replied that "provide booking details" and closed as resolved. To provide details their button 'add remarks' not working and it is compulsory to lodge new complain by customers. This is intentionally made time consuming and most of customers avoiding to go ahead because such class customers have lack of timing in daily routine.
                                      I am pasting copy of my complaint and their reply and requesting you to take appropriate action in this regards. My suggestion is to call on all the complaintants, whose complaints are closed as resolved earlier " whether their complaints actually resolved by Cox and Kings ?" The complaint resolution ratio of Cox and Kings- should be mentioned ACCORDINGLY, so that more and more tourist can saved from making fool. My details of complaint was as under.

                                      I advise all tourist to avoid leh ladakh tour with cox & kings. We share our experience hereunder.

                                      We eight family members from rajkot booked magical leh ladakh tour with cox and kings starting from 25th may 2019 to 01st june 2019 from delhi to delhi program. Our experience is very disappointed till 30th may,

                                      Everyone know why we are choosing tours with experienced, branded traveling agencies? My belief is 'because i want to be relaxed with every tension and want to fully enjoy holidays with my family by paying little more.
                                      However my experience for this tour is very disappointed.

                                      I never felt relaxed during the tour. Cox and kings has no ownership towards their customers after collecting 100 percent booking amount.
                                      No representative from cox and kings was present neither at delhi nor at leh to welcome us. We left on local driver at leh airport. The official person of cox and kings indicated in itinerary was absent on our arrival. On enquiry the person (Mr rahat) was arrived at hotel only to collect our id. He has not given tour details but when we enqired he replied that he will come in evening to provide details but we have never seen him again. When we have complain to higher authorities next day one person named ashish arrived and joined our group. On request to provide some details about places to be covered he replied that he is not our guide. He told that no guide was arranged for this tour. He was neither aware about places nor he has skill of tour leader or tour manager.
                                      He has never advised time limit to every family for every place. Hence every time we have to wait for some persons (Intentionally delaying) by waiting in bus this boring period was from 30 minutes to one hour. No control of tour manager.
                                      No attempt was made to united or introduce group members for memorable trip. The stay in tent in nubra valley was also boring. No camp fire was arranged by tour operator and when we requested to allow us on our own than ashish replied that you have to pay extra. Electricity and hot water arrangements were poor at nubra. Tent quality like lighting, door chain were not proper in our tent and complaint was not attended on the same day. Imagine how we have passed entire night in cool night? In the morning tour starting time was decided 7 am but water provided at 6 am. We have to hurry for breakfast. This mismanagement felt everywhere during tour.
                                      During long traveling period proper places were not arranged for refreshments and wash room facility. Open close timing of visiting places were also ignored because tour manager has no idea about places, no proper planning done by cox and kings
                                      There were lot of other small inconvenience which have spoiled our enjoyment. This happened from over 100 year old company.
                                      We have called on many times to higher authorities but due to network issue no proper response received. We have loss of time, enjoyment and money. Only disappointment and dissatisfaction achieved. Majority of group members have same complaint. We have seen other groups in leh whose company have provided local guide along with tour manager. It is advisable to select proper tour operator for leh and ladakh. If tour operator not available at starting and ending place and during tour than what is the benefits to pay them extra. We have also option to directly contact to local operator at leh ladakh as ladakhi people are loving and honest. No cheating at every level.

                                        My details incorrectly added on my invoice even if it was pointed out to your executive when making the bookings.
                                        The invoice is generated with somebody named as Thorat, when it was actually booked my me.
                                        Booking id 1072848.

                                        I raised complaint on twitter for providing the correct invoice copy on 3rd May 2019, and still they have not provided me with the actual copy.

                                        I did raised concern with their booking executive about my personal information getting shared outside. Screenshot of the email attached.
