All cordination on call and by email after is not getting acceptable refunds customer care center mr - mihir gotla & head of lady mrs narmada mutthu she was told go counsumer court filed case agains company i booking id no 898) 87/re: booking id - 898687, customized tour for canada tourdate 01 may 2018 i pay 326000₹ all transfer and hotel with break fast transportation with private sedan cab &sightseeing location with entry pass and all tourist point included with my travel itainary but i go in canada evry things is false like hotel transfer and transportation not to provided meal & private sedan cab i many call local travel agents and india customer care no also not responce me i have all tour money pay

      This is the 2nd reminder to my complaint lodged against cox and kings.
      Inspite of acknowledgement towards receipt of complaint from my end, m/s cox and kings is not refunding the deposit amount along with compensation as demanded from my end.
      Please note that if the same continues for few more days, i shall have to take legal action against the co for which the co shall be liable to bear the cost.

        Recently cox & kings arranged for me a tailor made tour package to kenya.
        It was a disaster from the time i reached nairobi. Their partners in kenya proved totally unprofessional, bluffing, all the time, keeping me in dark with regards to my baggage which arrived one day later. They finally sent after 4 days. Proof available.
        Vehicle was booked for me & wife, full fare was paid as required. They provided an old dilapidated vehicle for my 6 days safari in kenya.
        The canopy of the vehicle which was lifted for wild-life viewing crashed with deafening noise.
        Luckily we were sitting at that moments, or else, we
        Might have been killed on that day itself.
        Spending all the money, paying for - tailor made safari tour, we were not taken to "river side" in masai mara, which was the main spot to view the "animal migration" in peak of the season.
        Due to the bad vehicle provided, me and wife ended up with body pain, wasting all our time in the vehicle which was moving at 30 km speed even in the highway. Photos of the vehicle available.

        Complaint was lodged with cox & kings from masai mara itself. - no solution.
        On return complained to their office. No response.
        One week later, went to their office and complained with all details. - no response.
        One more week passed, the local office washed off their hands and advised me to take-up with their "customer service".

        Have sent a complaint to cox & kings - customer service, with a request that some body responsible
        Should talk to me. No immediate response.
        It is almost one month passed, no positive response at all.

        details sought by Cox & Kings were provided on 6th Sept itself. No response and they are yet to revert.

        For the mail which I had sent directly to Cox & Kings on 5th Sept 2018, they have not even acknowledged. This seems to be the general standards.

        On the 15th September 2018 a detailed brief and the ordeal I had gone through in my tour to Kenya has been sent to M/s Cox and Kings. From the 5th Sept no response has been received from them .
        What it the next course of action to be taken.

        Really a Joke !!

        I find my complaint is categorized as RESOLOVED.

        After sending a detailed complaint on the 15th Sept 2018, followed up with "Quality Head " of Cox & Kings. He gave all kinds of assurances and requested me to wait for him to get back. As there was no response, again called on 17th Oct 2018. Again promised that their Customer service will respond. When I inquired what his findings are, I was told my complaint will help them to decide future quality of service to their customer.!
        So I have been educating them with complaints. !

        My final reading of Cox & Kings attitude is that once customer Pays their Bills throw any complaint received into the dust bin!!

          Cox and kings has cancelled our europe tour package at the lat moment. They did not give any alternative date or package and kept us helpless. We never expected that we will not get any alternative from cox and kings. It was very tough for us to book any alternative tour in less time period and we had to cancel our plan. It was both monetary and emotional torture for us.

            Please note that i am yet to receive initial booking amount for reasons best known to you inspite of my repeated reminders.
            Due to your lackadaisical attitude and subsequent telephonic conversation, i was forced to withdraw from the proposed tour. The offer was made to me at a certain price and which was accepted by me. Accordingly advance made and accepted at your end with a written confirmation at the quoted rate. Subsequently, i was told about the mistake from your end, and was literally threatened to accept the amended quote or otherwise my tour stands cancelled.
            I put my foot down and asked for the refund which your sales executive accepted, since the same tent-amounts to a voidable contract as per provision of the indian contract act.
            Complaints to the concerned department was met with a lukewarm response and i am yet to receive the initial booking amount and compensation for harassment and loss of bank interest of booking amount.

            This shows how a so called reputed travel co can harass a customer for no fault of his.

              Cox and kings sales executives are the worst and fraud executives it seems,
              they kept on calling us till we make the payment of initial registration of Rs.6000 for Europe trip, after they receive the money, they simply vanished,
              no response to emails, when I call to customer care, they kept on telling, travel agent is on leave and they cannot proceed in his absence, later after few days they say, that travel agent is no more so on.. no service they gave, no refund and most importantly no response to my emails so far

                1st may 2018 canada east wonder & vancover pakage i had taken from you for 3, 26, 000 rs
                I had some serious issues & problems & difficulties during my trip & so had given a complaint
                Your tour had accepted all the complaints & had assured me refund
                But till date no refund
                And now when i see the status for my complaint it shows “resolved”
                How is it resolved??
                Please look to my complaint
                Hoping for a better response (Your status & fame is too good & i dint accept such response)
                Your staff is just so arrogant & just giving false promises & later asks me to talk to customer care

                  Cox And Kings is the worst travel service provider. We opted for Marvels of Europe and the experience
                  that we had is the worst possible experience a traveler can have when going for a family vacation.
                  They provide you the itinerary with all the glitters as if they have the best possible itinerary any
                  travel agency can have. But let me put the real itinerary in front of you.

                  Day 1:

                  They pick you up from airport in a bus/coach and then take you to the most worst possible Indian hotel
                  available in the entire Paris (Hotel name is Dawat) for buffet dinner. Plates are not clean, food
                  sucks big time and i won't even go to its ambience (to simply put it, a 1 BHK flat turned into a
                  restaurant).

                  After that, you go to the worst possible cheap hotel to spend the rest of the night (Don't even have
                  complementary shampoos or toothpastes Hotel name: Campanile). I will rate this hotel 4 out of 10.

                  Day 2:

                  Now you might be very happy to see "Disneyland" in your itinerary. But they will never mention you

                  that
                  you get to see "Disneyland" only for 3.5 hours. For an excuse they say that you have to see all the
                  things within 5 days so that's why such a tight schedule. From my point of view, its just a bad tour
                  planning because I went to Universal Studios, Singapore via Yatra and i got a whole day to spend, It
                  was so well planned tour. I will write about my Malaysia & Singapore tour experience in some other
                  post but coming back to it, we all know, how long the queues are in Disneyland and you get to see only
                  2-3 attractions only (if you are lucky) in such a short period. Lunch is on your own which is the best
                  part as you don't have to eat in some third grade restaurant like previous day.
                  After that they take you for a city tour. When I first saw city tour, I thought it is going to be
                  similar to my Malaysia & Singapore tour where I actually went inside the tourist places and spent
                  time. But to my horror, Cox and Kings just give you a bus ride in the city road and wherever there is
                  a provision for parking they will park and allow you to go and get some photographs for 10 minutes
                  from OUTSIDE only. Seriously ?...If that was the case then I could have hired a cab and dropped by
                  those places if I just had to take a photograph that also from outside. They will never take you
                  inside any museum or any important place. Only photos from outside. A local tour guide will get along
                  the bus and will explain you the history (which you can easily find in google...LOL).

                  After this melodrama, they take you to eiffel tower but that also with serious time constraints like

                  minutes. Cummon guys, this is not a school trip, its a vacation.

                  Finally, they take you to the most torturing activity, "The Dinner". They took us to a restaurant
                  named "Bombay Villa". Everything about it is worst whether it is the staff or the food. Watch out for
                  rude behaviors. What can you expect from a restaurant with 2.5 rating. you find more information

                  Finally, another torturous night at hotel campanile.

                  Day 3:

                  They will take you to Geneva from hotel. 3-4 hours of boring journey in the bus. Again city tour from
                  bus. Take photographs from bus mostly. They drop you OUTSIDE of prime location (Which was a bug
                  disappointment, not even in a single attraction, we got a chance to go in). Take photographs and come
                  back in 10 minutes.

                  After that you go to the torturous "The Dinner". I exactly don't remember the name but as I remember
                  the restaurant name was "Jaipur Mahal". Bad dinner (Better that the previous two), but good staff.

                  Finally you go back to your hotel (the only good hotel in the entire tour. Hotel name: Best Western
                  Chavannes De Bogis). I was so fed up with the dinner that i didn't eat there much and went for my real
                  dinner in this lovely hotel. I will rate this hotel 8 out of 10.

                  Day 4:
                  You go to Glacier 3000 via the bus. You will reach around 10:35 A.M. by there when left at 8:30 A.M.
                  Here you get to see and do some really cool stuffs like roller coaster ride, snow bus ride etc. The
                  lunch was again not that great, but better than Day 1, 2 and 3. The restaurant is a self service
                  restaurant and has limited options for lunch. After you are done with your lunch you still have time
                  till 3:20 P.M. to enjoy. From 3:20 P.M. we depart to mount cox and kings via bus. Mount cox and kings
                  has a rotating restaurant where they provide a Gala dinner.

                  Finally you go back to your hotel and rest for the day.

                  Day 5:

                  It was a day at leisure or optional Jungfrau tour originally. But later, it was decided that we leave
                  for Lucernce on that day so that we get enough time to spend on the other day (which was far enough
                  but when they say "spend time" I know it means "just click photos from outside"). We mostly clicked
                  photos from the bus while in our 2.5 hours of ride. Once we reached there, we are dropped in the shop
                  area where people either clicked photos are did some shopping.

                  Finally they take you to the worst possible hotel in Lungern, switzerland (Hotel Lowen) where they
                  provide table fans instead of AC or fans (#unbelievable). To our horror, the dinner was there only. I
                  will rate this hotel 2.5 out of 10.

                  Day 6:

                  We leave for Vaduz, Liechtenstein (a small country that falls between Switzerland and Austria) in the
                  morning 9:00 A.M. Spent some time there in the old city area. Clicked some photos. Left to
                  Innsbruck, spent some time in shops. Clicked photographs. After that we left to Swarovski Crystal
                  Worlds, Wattens where you will have some good time. But again the problem was time constraint which
                  was just 1 hour. For dinner, they take you to a good restaurant which was a surprise for me after so
                  many torturous dinners. I don't remember the restaurant name so couldn't provide you the information.

                  Finally, they take you to a hotel which is not good but not bad as well (Hotel Vamperhoff). In terms
                  of of service and food i can rate it 5/10.

                  Notes From The Trip:

                  1. They will yell at you (including the bus driver), if you are 5-10 minutes late, which never happens
                  with other travel agencies. Surprisingly, they yelled at my parents who are 60+ and they were late as

                  it is not easy for a senior citizen to walk and eat like a guy in their 30's.

                  2. You don't have the luxury to select good hotels. You will always end up staying in a cheap hotel
                  even though they promise to accommodate you in good hotels.

                  3. Worst tour planning. I don't know who does the tour planning but its the worst.
                  Even though they are old agency. Their service is at their worst. Even though we complained about it
                  on Day 1 from Paris, no one will address your issues once you are done paying money and land up in the
                  foreign country. Customer value for Cox and Kings is absolute zero.

                  4. Sightseeing mostly means click photographs from the bus or outside of a museum or an important
                  attraction. No chance to get inside.

                  You will find lot of complaints already in posted the following thread. This is just a sample and you
                  can even find other complaints if you just google it. I have resolved not to opt for Cox and Kings
                  ever and won't recommend it for others as well. Don't be a goat.

                  Big companies have fallen down due to lack of customer value. This company is also going in the same road and will perish soon eventually.

                    I have a complaint against you people and your employees.

                    I have booked a trip to mauritius for my parents (2 people). The communication is going on for past 10 days and finally i was given a quote by your employee vinay that for a trip to mauritius i would be required to pay 63, 350 for 3 nights and 4 days and my stay would be in radisson hotel.

                    Yesterday only i confirmed my trip and paid an initial amount of rs 40000 (Rs 20000 per person). Today morning i got a call that fares have increased by rs 5500 per person and that now i would have to pay the increased amount as told by your employee. I protested to the same and in the end the manager called me and said that he will share the extra amount and i was forced accept the extra amount as again i was told that if i ask for refund then same would take a lot of time. I confirmed the trip yesterday at 5 in the evening and it was delay on part of your officials that they didin't book my ticket and carelessly left the same for tomorrow and due to which i had to suffer. Then finally it was decided that i would be paying rs 2000 extra instead that too under protest as i had to book this trip and could not cancel the same.

                    Then in the evening they told me that they cannot give radisson hotel and gave me another 3 star hotel instead of 4 star which was decided and that too at same price. Now i was forced to accept the same as well as my parents have to travel on 7 august and that date is nearby so i could not cancel the same.

                    I paid my initial amount after i received the final mail and quoute from your employee

                    When i told them to cancel the same in morning, i was threatened that my initial momey would be forfeited.

                    I request you to take strict action against this and give me the details which was promised at initial stage because everytime your employeed changed the plans and never agreed to give what was promised. Moreover earlier i was promised that i would be given 3 sightseeing and now i have been given 2 instead of 3 which is again default on your part.

                    I have all the mails of your employees with me as a proof and proof of my mails as well and i think of taking legal action against you people as being an advocate i am aware of my rights and liabilities.

                    I hope you would yourself take action and give me what was initially promised to me.

                      Cox and kings has cancelled our europe tour package in less than 30 days from our departure day. They did not give any alternative date or package and kept us helpless. We never expected that we will not get any alternative from cox and kings. It was very tough for us to book any alternative tour in less time period and we had to cancel our plan. It was both monetary and emotional torchure for us. Also contacting them was a problem and got responses very late. The payment process was very easy but to get the money back was a long process and took 7 days for the refund.

                        I am writing this complaint for the extremely disappointing experience with cox and kings.

                        I booked a tour well in advance at your office at regent towers, baner pashan link road. The name of the concerned person from your office is aditya kulkarni and shweta ranade.

                        The tour itinerary and terms & conditions were agreed between my self - shirish bengeri and aditya kulkarni from your office on 26 th may. Based on which, i paid advance of inr 30 k and remainder amount inr 85 k to make 100% payment 3 weeks in advance.

                        To my surprise the vouchers were not issued till last moment, the voucher was full of errors on the details of the family members name / dob etc. Besides the itinerary was changed without our knowledge. The vehicle was changed despite clear instructions. I had to take leave to sort out the issue and close follow up with the branch. I found shweta and aditya in different about my requests and had to escalate to kunal as well, however the issue was not resolved till 20 th july 10 pm, where as the tour was to start on 21 st july. I am extremely disappointed with the service offered as the details in the itinerary was not delivered. Kindly let me know how to claim compensation for this in efficient tour

                          I had booked a family trip to america through cox and kings kochi branch this june, accordingly paid almost 5lakh rupees within two weeks as per their demands.
                          Very conveniently they cancelled the trip in the first week of july saying not enough passengers. Now since three weeks i have been following up for my refund and they have not done so giving childish excuses.
                          And the way the staff gets irritated it’s as if i’m asking money from them.
                          Highly pathetic for such a company
                          Didn’t know cox and kings runs their business on people’s borrowed money like this
                          I wouldnt recommend anyone in right sense to deal with u

                            Worst travel agency...!! Once payment was done there was no proper follow up. Secondly they do good business by not issuing visa on time and casually ask to cancel the trip.

                            So talking in more detail, this was my customize package for Singapore Malaysia trip. The day before my tour by evening 6.35 pm my agent from Mumbai- andheri branch calls me and gives the news that my visa has not been issued and we can’t do any help & you have cancel your tour. I had done the payment of 3lakh+ amount and he was asking me casually to cancel the trip without giving me any refund. They were just trying to gain monetary gains by not issuing us eVisa. We seeked help from a family friend of ours and got the Malaysian eVisa within 45mins before the night of departure. We got to know later from another agent that this people had applied multi-entry visa for us which wasn’t needed and was obviously complete ###. The agent had taken responsibility of visa processing and had taken charges as well but still he didn’t do his job and we ended paying the visa fee twice.
                            NEVER EVER TRUST COX and KINGS...!!

                              Dear sir,
                              I have applied for thai visa theough barakhamba branch new delhi on 11th july 2018, and the team there have no knowledge, if we ask anything they ask each other and reply. There was no communication from their end. When i called to ask the status they said the embassy have asked for your itr, i as on there mailed them and xalled again to confirm. They confirmed receving the mail again after 2 day when i called they said they have not received the documents after multiple calls they said they have lack of man power so can not update (Is it my fault?) after multiple reminder they said they have processed it (Till now they were arguing for non recipt of mail) then again i called to check the status (Please not even a single call from them) they said it is marked as void and disconnected. Then i again called to confirm they said i don't know who have informed you this your visa is approved you can come and collect the same. Then on friday 20th july i went to collect my passport and got to see void stamp. (Is this the way cox and kings work) and when i called on monday 23rd july 2018 to know why has tgis happened some mr. Rohit was talking rudely, his voice was on the top of the notch and he was not ready to accept his mistake and no apology. I am flying on 30th june and i am not able to reply as well. What shall i do. I will never ever recommend cox and kings to any one. Please help me.

                                    My INTERNATIONAL TOUR booking ID is 1017287. On the first day itself, before booking my INTERNATIONAL TRIP, I informed the Coimbatore Team, that I am going to abroad on Leave Fare Concession (LFC) and therefore I inquired them whether will it be possible for them to issue a Invoice, which should show the bifurcation of the amount charged as Travel Expenses and other Tour Package Expenses? I very clearly told them that i am working in an Organisation, which reimburses ONLY THE TRAVEL EXPENSES incurred by me during the LFC and hence i need an Invoice, which clearly shows the exclusive expenses incurred only for my Travel from the place of origin and back.

                                    THEY PROMISED ME TO ISSUE SUCH INVOICE after completion of my journey and ONLY ON THIS CONDITION I BOOKED the Tour Package and paid Rs. 5, 42, 685/- as demanded by them.

                                    The Tour started on 13.06.2018 and ended on 25.06.2018. Now, 17 days have already passed. Almost daily i am making more than 20 phone calls to each one of the employee of your Cox and Kings Coimbatore Team for getting my Invoice as promised by them. BUT NOW THEY SAY THAT THEY CANNOT ISSUE INVOICE AS PROMISED AND THEY CAN GIVE ONLY A CONSOLIDATED INVOICE. A CONSOLIDATED INVOICE IS OF NO USE TO ME. HAD THEY REFUSED ME THIS ON THE DAY ONE, I WOULD HAVE BOOKED MY INTERNATIONAL TOUR PACKAGE WITH SOME OTHER COMPANY WHICH HAS BETTER ETHICS AND PROFESSIONALISM THAN YOUR COMPANY.

                                    YOU, BEING A SERVICE INDUSTRY, SHOULD NOT MAKE FALSE PROMISES TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND YOU CANNOT MAKE ME A SCAPEGOAT FOR THIS. It speaks very bad about your COMPANY. If this is the case, I will never ever recommend any of my friends to book a Tour Package with you. None of the employee, who can avail LFC from their employer will ever book a Tour Package in your company.

                                    When I contacted the Coimbatore Team, they say some of your staff has been suspended, that's why this delay and all. Whatever may be your INTERNAL PROBLEMS, a prudent Service Industry will not allow it to harm a Customer who has spent more than 5 Lakhs for the International Tour.

                                    I cannot afford to loose my entitlement. My employer who has paid me a considerable amount as LFC advance is now pressurizing me very hard to submit the LFC Bill.

                                    I hope you can very well understand my problem by now, and request you to email the INVOICE (as promised), showing amount charged exclusively for my Travel Portion, without any further delay.

                                      I had opted for a group tour to NEPAL (Nepal Delight ) as published in their website for the 2nd June ex-chennai and were asked to pay full charges including airtravel of Rs. 63798/- to confirm the booking.I did so on .16th May 2018 accordingly and my booking id was 969232 . I was advised on .25th May 2018 that due to lack of adequate bookings the tour has been cancelled and was asked if i could join the next one scheduled for 16th June. I agreed.Closer to the time i was once again advised that this tour too has been cancelled for same reasons .I informed that i may not get any postponement of my leave from my employers beyond this date.Mr Kapil Gupta of operations requested if i could take their Ladakh program scheduled for the same dates and he would revert if i could be accommodated. Appears that tour was full and he did not revert.I thereafter requested cox and kings to cancel my booking and refund my monies in full.
                                      i am dismayed to see that they refund only Rs .32, 732/-. and cite that they have deducted Rs.31066/-.. towards airline ticket they had booked. I am shocked as the subject group tour had been cancelled by them and how could they do this to a lady traveler aged 55 years and sole earning member of my family.Needless to say phone calls are not picked up or held for long and then declined.The booking staff who originally interacted refuse to come on line.My confidence in cox and kings is shattered and i appeal to their senior management to intervene and redress my grievance. rgds Revathi
