Poor!! Never Trust Crompton. I used to be a happy Crompton customer earlier. I recently purchased "Crompton Greaves Mini Master II 0.5 HP Domestic Monoblock Pump" and I got a defective piece. That pump comes with a new feature called "Thermal Overload Protector". That motor runs for 1 minute and then stops for 3-4 minutes. This is
how this Thermal Overload Protector is working. I called Customer Care, they sent their executive in just few hours to check the problem. Their representative asked me to call plumber to disassemble motor so that he can open motor and check it. I called Plumber (obviously I had to pay plaumber again).
Their representative checked the motor and said its TOP (Thermal Overload Protector) is not working and you will have to take this motor to near by service center to get it checked/fixed. I told him that I purchased this motor and this is defective piece, so you get it replaced and why should I go to your service center
to get the new motor fixed???? He said this is what process is at Crompton and if you want to get it fixed, you will have to take it to near by service center even if
you have got new defective product.

This is extremely annoying. I went to dealer again and asked him to replace it. With lots of arguments and after discussion with Distributor, he agreed to replace the
motor. I had to pay the amount again to plumber to get new motor installed. BUT shocking thing is when I tested the new motor, that moror was also faulty.
After running for 1 minute, it stops for 3-4 minutes. I called customer Care again and they gave me number of their Service incharge. He said all our motors cannot be faulty. This is a feature where motor automatically cut off when over heated. But I told them again that motor turns off for 3-4 minutes after running just for 1 minutes. They said it can be for two reasons: 1) Voltage Fluctuation 2) Water supply is not there. I told them I have voltmeter at home and I can get the voltage checked and its not fluctuating and water supply is also there. He said you bring motor to our service center and we will check this and it must be problem at your end only. I told them that there are other two motors installed of Crompton for our neighbour floors and those are working. After no satisfactory response, I then talked to his senior also. He said I already got report for your complaint that there is a problem at your site and not in the motor. STRANGE, infact their CG's representative after checking himself confirmed that its TOP (Thermal Overload Protecter) not working.
I told them when your TOP (Thermal Overload Protecter) is faulty so why dont you simply remove it. They said we will remove it but then we will take from you in writing that you have requested to get this removed and if any problem comes to motor for over heating, we will not fix it.


Crompton motors are so EXPENSIVE, its almost 3 times price of local motors/pumps and comes with same 1 Year warranty. If I purchase a local motor and piece is defective, I can easily get replacement at home. Why should customer pay 3 times price to purchase a defective Crompton Greaves pump and go here and there to get if fixed with lots of conditions. I told them I have to pay plumber eveytime I have to install/uninstall pump. I have already paid Plumber Rs 600 and again you are asking me to bring the motor to service center.

If the pump is defective, why dont so send your representative at my home with plumber to replace it.

Lastly after so much struggle with CG's staff and with no satisfactory results, I am planning to return this CROMPTON GREAVES pump back to dealer (if he takes it back and refund money) and will buy local motor in 1/3rd price with same 1 Year warranty BUT they will replace MOTOR if motor is faulty and not like CG.

Anyone who is reading this REVIEW at Cromton Greaves, and if really willing to change their process to improve customer satisfaction, look into this matter.

Other customers who are planning to buy Crompton Products, please make sure you talk to dealer/distributor first, that he agrees to refund your hardened money if the piece is defective other wise you will also end up calling Customer Care like me and running to Cromton Greaves Service Center's to get you new prodcut fixed.

Every one knows staying without water at home even for 1 day is so much of PAIN. I hope CROMPTON GREAVES should also understand this and IMPROVE their so called
PROCESS that is not at all Customer Centric.

Ending my shopping with CROMPTON now, will never purchase any Crompton Product in future for sure.

I bought a cooler it's water pump is not working no proper service to help i hate this part and i suffered alot with that problem which is so hot in my room i hope this can help me or show me the solution or way so dat i can make use of that and crompton cooler brand sucks and i want to file a case against the brand so that proper service can be available

Instant heater leaking heavily. This is covered in warranty.

I made a complaint about my cooler ACGC-TAC201 on last thursday com.no.[protected] saturday technician came and said, motor is not working he will re place tomorrow and left saturday 4 pm it self i got a message that- com.no. [protected] is resolved.hope the repair is done as per your satisfaction.but still today cooler is not repaired we did not expect such irresponsible manner from a responsible company we pray you to move your product from our home and made my cash back

I have purchased a 16" pedestal fan from electrovision, jadavpur, kolkata on 15.02.2016 but within 2 months it has ceased working. I have tried to contact your service personnel over telephone but they are not responding.They always avoid to receive complains and bypass calls saying meaningless reasons.Please help us.

Worst company ever seen. I will recommend not to buy any product of crompton greaves. I had booked my complaint on 20th april 2016. Complaint no. Is [protected]. No response from dealer sd sales.

I have purchased 1/2 up pump on 20 Dec 2015. Pump was not functioning Wed 03 March 16. I deposited the pump to M/s Sr sales Pune for repair. They charge me Rs 1600/-.I collected the pump on 13 .04.16. Pump got again problem. Despite my repeated request the same had not been repair so far by your centre at Pune.
They are telling false that water is not good. Nobody has come to home to see the pump.
Please do the needful.

16" pedestal fan (Model no.7785) had been purchased from M/s Electrovision, 8B Bus stand, Jadavpur on 10/04/2016 under invoice no.85310 and under warranty card no.(21)PCYEH 107785.
On 13/04/2016 while switching on from switch board suddenly some spark observed from the connecting cord/wire of the fan and immediately it was switched off from switch board. It is observed that cord has burnt. The fan was kept just beside the bed in the PG accommodation.
The warranty is valid for 2 years and I am surprised within two days of purchase, how it has happened.
I am a student, requested to replace the pedestal fan immediately or take suitable action as it's unbearable summer in Kolkata.

The complaint was registered in dec or Jan.thru net.
One person visited after 10 days and took photograph and left.
On17 th of March Mr.vyas. came put a sticker on the product and left.

The city is Pune.
I am totally dissatisfied with the product and services and response from Compton greaves.
Still this company is in 1947 mode, I think while the service industry has gone far ahead
Ultimately the co.will go Dunlop tyre way.

Just one month back i have purchased CG 1.5 HP Borewell pump and now its tripping frequently just runs for 5 minutes and then it tripps. I called the dealer and they came and inspected and told that problem with the starter relay and then changed the starter with new one after then also same problem persists. The voltage and ampere 210v and 11.5 amps but the relay gets heated and tripping. kindly solve the problem as soon as possible

Ive purchased a desert cooler in may 2015 of cg make and model no cg-dac503 from piragal electronics kphb. From day 1 drain plug is leaking and raised several complaints and no one cares to hamdle this complaint. Every day im calling customer care and they dont even bother to resolve.I plead everyone not to purchase any product from cg which is highly unethical company with no values. I would request authorities to take action immediately.

I had purchased a pedastal fan of crompton greaves model Wind Flo speed 400 in Dec. 2013. On 8th March 2016 I saw flame and found the machine burning, after I managed to extinguish it, I opened it and found the coil damaged by fire. A photo is attached. Pls arrange for a quick replacement else I will move to consumer court. Needless to mention that the fire could spread with the flame and could cause further damage to TV kept nearby. A written complaint will also be faxed on 14th March to Company's Mumbai office at worli.

Our complaint no. [protected] is still not solved, whereas we got a telephone call 30 hours ago and the person told that a technician will be coming to repair the pedestal fan.

Instead of the technician coming to repair the product, i received an sms mentioning that the repairs has been carried out as per your satisfaction.

Please do the needful to take necessary action against the authorities who sends sms without even visiting our location.

I have purchased 3.w 10-1- H.P 3 Shamarsheel pump with pannel from M/s Ma Kali Hardware, Durgapur-12 and the same has been installed. The machine was not functioning (Dead). I had lodge a complaint on toll free no. as well as customer care. The customer care had send the contact no. of A.M. Electronics, Bankura. I contact with the said no., then he gave me the no. of Durgapur Branch. I had taken the said machine to Durgapur Branch office which has been checked by the proper person of service centre. They have opoined that the said machine is to be replaced by the dealer, Inspite of having stock of material by M/s Gauri Shankar Dealer ( Authorized dealer of cromptom greaves, Durgapur, West Bengal) they have refused to give the new one.

I automatic dry iron model no. Cg di wd 600w (oeskk-53513 )from reliance market at aurangabad, maharashtra on 9.1.2016 for rs.390 but the same product is defective so kindly arrange to repair or give new one. .
