I bought Crompton Greaves water heater SWH 510 WHT from Creative Agencies, 9-41-31/1, Pithapuram Colony, Besides Deccan Chronicle, Visakhapatnam- 530003, Phone:[protected],
email: [protected]@hotmail.com on 17 th December 2008. From ther day one, the red and green indicator lamps are not working. I have represented to the seller as well as the service agency. But till date for almost six months my complaint is not attended.
This may be a small matter for Giant Cropton Greaves. But it is a big issue for the customer who bought it with confidence in Cropton Greaves product and services. But this incident is a very sad / bad example of the way Crompton Greaves's services work.
If this is given attention I will be happy as a customer.

    I have purchased a CG Pedestal Fan 18" Hi Flow for Rs.2250 just 1-2 months back. It was working normally when i took to home. 2 Days back the speed changing switch has been broken, so i have registered a complaint to CG. The service guy now says that the broken parts will not be covered under warranty. CG has delivered a bad quality product to a customer and it cant withstand for 1-2 months and now they are asking Rs.80 to replace the switch. Total rubbish. We are not small Kids to break and play.

    I bought a pedestal fan . The Regulator is not working since one and half month. I Lodge a complain on 26th may, 2009. Till it is not resolved.The compalin no. [protected]. I am frustated about the CG Services.

      With reference to the subject cited above I have the honour to inform you that I bought one Crompton Greaves 1.5 HP Multi Stage Pump set, model-MJM1.5H, SL-FGBJ50378 form Magnet House, Manipuri Basti, G.S.Road, Guwahati-7 on 07-01-09.
      But to my utter surprise from the very first day I noticed some leakage near the shaft. Gradually the leak increases and subsequently I complaint to servicing center phone nos.[protected] on 12th May09.On 13th May/09 on authorised person name Mr. B. Das came and dismentled the pump and took away to their workshop. On 14th May/09 they bring the pump back and fitted and after priming the pump started but the defect remains the same. Mr. J. Medhi the works manager ask me to pay the price of the mechanical seal amounting to Rs.210/-. But I decided not to pay the same as defect is not rectified. Mr. B. Das assured me that leak will automatically dies down and he went home. I contact him again and informed him abou the leak over phone but the person concerened didn't turn up.
      Again I went to the the workshop of Crompton Greaves on 22-05-09 and lodged complaint and they assured me get the mechanical seal replaced at the site.Accordingly they came and replaced the Mechanical seal at the site. But to my utter surprise the technical person who is re4pairing the pump twice cann't recxtify the defect. This is a complint against such a organisation who is manufacturing pump since 1964. They produced a bill vide no953 dated 22-05-09 for the mechanical seal and this time I paid the bill.
      I again lodged complain over phone on29-05-09 regarding the defect and they told and they replied that donot have stock of mechanical seal when it will available they surely replace it. But till today they didn't turn up
      I would like to look in to the matter and take appopriate action in order to rectify the defect so that I may be releived of priming the pump every day.

      sir i have installed ajet pump in my single storied house at bilaspur(CG) whenever i go on leave ie few days gap to run the pump we suffer from this pump otherwise no problem i am facing.can u tell me the remedy of this.it is not also easyly primed.when this situation occur i become in a trouble. at the time of purchasing i had great faith on cg pumps but practically i am suffering.
      pls get-rid-of from this trouble.
      sir, i am very much fond of your product since begining. but nowdays i am suffering from my jet pump made by you.When we go on live we feel problem of priming the pump.it is not easily primed it takes lot of time. kindly tell me remedy of it. pipe 80ft from ground level.my mobile no.         We bought a Crompton greaves wall mounted fan on 11.04.2007
        In the month of may 2008 the fan blade got broken, So we registered a warranty complaint of 0085 on 05.05.2008, But the chennai service team told the blade will not cover under warranty, so we paid Rs.250 to the technician for the replacement, After one year we have started using the fan in the summer time from april 2009, within one month the base of the fan got broken, Once again we thought to go with original and made a complaint of OGF 890 0n 25.05.2009 but the technician came on 30.05.2009 and told that the materials will reach within 15 days, but we have to pay Rs.450-500.

        I bought a fan for Rs.1450 and the maintenance cost for two year to the fan is Rs.750?

        Now I need a reasonable answer from the supplier.

        High Flow wall mount fan — Replacement of faulty fan

        Dear Sir/Madam,
        I have purchase the high flow wall mount fan wide sr. no.IAM003568 from Parag Appliances, Dombivli (E), Dist: Thane. as on[protected]. while purchase the fan it was packed and unassembelled.
        on same date I called our electrician and install it properly, as on[protected] it was having some unusual noise and after one day it has stopped the working.
        I contacted the to Parag Appl. as on[protected] and on[protected] your machanic had visited our residence and examine the fan and he told me that motor is dead we have replace the motor. I said in very short term this fan is stopped I want new one he said ok you talk to the service centre which in thane and tell them, I had contacted many times but no budy has pick that phone at last I had contacted to Parag Appl. they told me to bring the fan and they are going to replace it.
        I took the fan to them as on 8-5-2009 they are in process to hand over me the new fan but one sales man of that shop has interrupted in between and very rudely he spoke to me that we will not replace the fan we will only replace the motor.
        i dont understand how to react on it I have just left the fan there and come out of the shop.
        kindly replace the faulty fan immidiatly.

        yeh company wale apne naam ka fayda uttate h kyunki inne pata h log naam bikta h..
        I brought a wall fan on june 2012 recently after days it creating a noise some like bearing noise.

        So i complaint to the dealer they told me to contract Crompton greaves customer service center they will replace.

        but after putting so much effort they charge me rs 700/- for replacement of parts.

          We bought a plastic body instant geyser about 8 months ago, which has 1 years warranty. The warranty book or the company's site does not have even a contact no. for logging a complaint. The nos. which are mentioned never respond. I am just stuck where to complaint. Dealer/Retailer does not entertain the complaints

          I have mr.prem ([protected]) number, but he is not responding any way.. I called him more than 10 time, but no response from his side and company side

            At the outset, it is not exaggeration but it is true and appreciated by all my relatives and friends of the function of this fan. In fact we recommended to all my relatives and friends to purchase the deluxe tower fan . We purchased the said fan during 2004 and really we enjoyed the air from the fan. In the year end 2005 some problem developed in the blower and noise started. We approached ur godown in chennai for replaement of the blower and set right the noise. To our shock they said that this particulr model is stopped and introduced new one. Hence the spare parts for this deluxe tower fan is not available. and also suggested to go in for alternate fan only. Do u believe that till date we r using the same fan with noise because the reason that THIS IS THE ONLY TOWER FAN GIVES SUCH SPEED AIR NONE OTHER ELSE. WHAT WE NEED IS IF CG IS ABLE TO SUPPLY THE SIMILAR FAN TO US WE SHALL BE EVER GRATEFUL TO THEM. IN FACT WE R USING ALL OF OUR FANS AND GEYCER AND CG PRODUCTS AND LIKE ITS SERVICE. WE SEEK THIS HELP FROM CG. AWAITING A SIMILAR FAN THAT TOO IN THE HOT SUMMER WOULD BE HELPFUL TO US. OUR ADVANCE THANKS TO CG FOR CONSIDERING OUR REQUEST FAVOURABLY.

                  You need to add the company and model number for the complaint to be of any use..
                  I have purchased 9 Fan for my Residence in 2007.

                  I am using Fan Regulator of crompton- greaves .

                  In a short span of one year the Fan Capacitor & Regulator have started failing.

                  I fail to understand the reason of failing as I am using your fan since last
                  35 years & Capacitor have hardly failed once in 7- 8 years.

                  I have a failed capacitor & regulator with me & can sent the same for your analysis.

                  I request you to let me know the address on which I can sent the same.

                    Dear Sir,

                    Please refer my statement dated Feb 21 2009 wherein the totl amount outstanding is rs. 1356.99 & rest of the amount charged by you towards late payment & interest was to be reversed by you as per your mail.

                    Since I was out of station & on receipt of your statement my secretary has already made a paymwent of RS. 7357.00 though she was to make a payment of only Rs. 1357.00.

                    Since there is an excess payment made thru oversight I request you to please send me a refund of the same . Please also note that I have not received a new credit card as my earlier card has already expired in Feb 2009.

                    I request you to please tajke immediate action. Also please inform me whether the prevailing card can be used or not.

                      Quality of Customer Service at Crompton Service Agents in Bangalore


                      I bought a Crompton Water Heater from Crompton dealer / seller; Paras Appliances on 28/06/2008 through vide their invoice number 24128. Model 525 (Solarium) bearing Serial Number HDO 220993.

                      I had decided to buy this due to the performance it is giving in my uncle’s house in Chennai. However, in my place it was working well till the beginning of December 2008 and it started leaking at the bottom. I have made a complaint to Crompton Service Agents in Bangalore during December 2008 and after repeated follow-up and reminders one Mr.Anwar was kind enough!!! to attend to my water heater 16/01/2009 and it was working for a week or two without any leakage and for that he demanded Rs.175/- as service charge which was not paid by me as it was well within the warranty period. Again in January 2009 it started leaking and again I made a complaint during February second week to crompton service agents which was not registered by them and again after repeated follow-ups they decided to book the complaint and gave me a reference number 2206 and again a technician by name Mr.Ramesh (His mobile number [protected] and it appears he just came for inspection on 16th or 17th during the 3rd week and he has agreed to change the tank and until today he never turned up to attend though he had promised to me that it will be done in two or three days . During the earlier umpteen follow-ups also one Mr. Michael has promised me that this will be sorted out.

                      I am just praying to know when it will be sorted out.

                      For the past 3 months I am suffering for hot water due to the leakage and making many calls just for them to attend!!!

                      I am very curious to know whether Crompton will pay for my phone calls and the hardship caused to me due to their delay and poor service and my mental agony??????

                      When it will be attended and do they want and expect the warranty period to be over??????!!!

                      What are the action / reply from Crompton and the remedy for all the hardships I am facing day today????????

                      Expecting your swift action for a proper service or replacement of my water heater with a good one from Crompton Greaves Ltd!!!

                      Cromton Greeves - Water heater — pathetic service in warranty period

                      I had purchased CG water heater on 24th Aug 2008 from Metro in Hyderbad. After February 2009, we started seeing water leaking from the heater. When we lodged a complaint with the service center in MArch 2009 (very tough to reach on phone), a guy called Raghuram came and said everything is fine the problem is with the water pipeline of the building. We checked with the plumber. The problem was with the heater.We had to keep calling the service center but it did not help much. We have lodged atleast 3 complaints in this regard and we are yet to get a resolution till today (July 19th 2009). The product is under warranty and if it can be replaced completely, I would be greatful. I tried reaching the corporate office number in Mumbai but there also I was facing the same problem, I could not connect with anyone.

                      Now if I call the CG technician on their mobile they do not pick up, Service center number is always busy, as if they have removed the phone. Any help that can be provided will be really appreciated.
                      I bought acrompton greaves water heater in 2009 oct. But a leakage was found in Dec 2009, it was repaired with in a week . Again in 2010 Dec, leakagen was found & the company replaced the machine after 2 months. So winter was without heater. AGAIN THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED WITH THE MACHINE THIS WINTER ALSO. So see how nice the crompton greaves water heater is !!

                        Purchasded one electric motor (3 HP Single Phase) for industrial purposes on 01.04.2008 vide bill no.1501 of New Bharat Agricultural Corporation, Amritsar. The motor has stopped working since yesterday night.The matter has been brought to the notice of the dealer this morning at 1030 Hours, who immidiately forwarded our complaint to Mr. Kirpal Singh on phone no.[protected]said to be the competant person in the service station.However, on being contacting directly by me, Mr. Kirpal Singh is not giving any proper reply. This is not the first time. This happened several times in the past also. Due to non attendence of complaint, my tiny industry has come to halt.

                          Defective supply of Jet Water pump (1 HP), Model: JTM1

                          Dear sir,

                          I have purchased one “CG make” Jet water pump (1 HP), Model: JTM1, Sr. No.HABJ-51679 from M/s Eastern Hardware, 28/B, R.P. Road, Ganeshguri, Guwahati-781006 on 27th March’2008. As per “Guarantee of Satisfaction” certificate, this pump set is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase.

                          When (On 30st Jan’09) I am not getting water then I called the plumber....

                          Dear Sir,

                          I have send my employee to Magnet House, (who is a Dealer of Crompton Greaves) G.S.Road, Guwahati-7, Phone no[protected]for purchase a Pump. They have charged Rs. 8, 400/- (Rupees Eight thousand four hundred) only and there Invoice no 809, dated[protected].

                          After some days I have known from some reliable source that the original price of this pump is Rs. 6, 400/- So I enquare other Crompton Graves Dealer and they given me rate Rs. 6, 400 - 6, 500/-. Actualy Market price of this Self priming Monoset Pump, Model no DMB 10 DGCSL is Rs. 6, 400 to 6, 500/-

                          So I personaly visit Magnet House, Guwahati and request them to return excess amount which they have taken from me. And ask them how they make Invoice more then MRP.They have refuse to return my excess amount.

                          So I request you kindly look into the matter and do necessary action.

                            I had purchased a wet grinder of Crompton Greaves make of 2 litre capacity on[protected] from M/s Mala Agencies, Nana Peth. In fact the grinder was booked at ICE Exhibition and the delivery was given on[protected]. The Sales Executive at the ICE Exhibition who had explained the featues and advantages of the wet grinder as compared to the Mixer-Blender. However, on the first use of the machine during the first week of June, 2008 we observed that the wet grinder is not working properly as the grinding could not be completed even after running the grinder for two hours and finely we had to grind the masala on the mixer. It took me about three weeks to locate the Crompton Service Centre and the complain was lodged in the last week of June '08 [Complaint No.11147]. The technician who visited to check up agreed that the machine is faulty and needs to be replaced. After making several calls the service centre in-charge informed that the company has changed. A fresh compaint was lodged on 17.07.08 [Complaint No.A129]. The technician was deputed by the Service Centre after making several calls for about two weeks. The technician after thorough check and reporting with the service centre incharge over phone agreed that the machine is faulty and agreed to replace the same within a weeks time. Since there was no response, we called after a week only to be informed that the technician who had inspected was the junior technician and they would depute a senior person. After several call the senior person from the agency [Mr. Manik] visited to inspect the machine and he too agreed that the machine is faulty and needs to be replaced, and he agreed to do so within a week. Since there was no response, I called the senior in the Service Centre only to be informed that the persons who visited earlier were only the demostrators and not technicians and that he would depute a senior technician. The person who visited during the first week of September reported that the machine is okay but the stone needs to be replaced. However, the same person called me today that the company will not replace the stone even though the machine is under waranty and the same has to be purchased from the local market.
                            It is kindly requested to kindly look into the matter.

                              I baught four Crompton Greaves Ceiling fans from Narender Electricals, 1-91/22&23, shop no 4, Krishnaveni complex, Besides police station Nacharam, Hydrabad.Out of four one fan was defective.As per warranty I got a replacement which is also defective.When I again asked for good working fan, the reply is rude saying that I may get like that only.Every time I have to pay the elctritioan for fixing the fan.Thinking that branded fans may be good I went for Crompton Greaves fans but this is the state of affairs with reputed brands.It is better to avoid brands like CG.

                              I brought mono block pump mini win II from Islamuddin & Sons Bill Dated 07/01/2009 Bill No.408, and within a week it got stucked, then i went to the workshop at shastri Nagar Ramneek Enterprises, and then they were tring to refuse the bill they were arguing about the model of the pump ! well after lot of effort somehow i got the job done ! but again after 5 months it got stucked again and now again they are still saying that they don`t have aproval to repair the pump, than i went to the regional office at cnaught place, where i met with Mr. Nitesh at he assure me that the approval has been done, than i went back home and again called to Ramneek Enterprises for a pump, and now again they are repling they don`t have approval for the pump, well well well i think i should go to legal way ! is that a right solution to get the job done ?
                              Quality of crompton fans is very bad. I recently purchase Aura brand Crompton fans. After few days it started making noise. Still worst is their services. They do not attend and the close the complainiant without a valid reason or informing the customer

                              There is no mechasim where I can escalate this problem to their senior.

                              Recently, I purchased Orient fan. It is much better than Crompton

                              we have the requirements of 15" exhaust fan leaf in our firm and we directly contact with the crompton people and they have no interest in our requirements
                              Dear sir,
                              I am a regular buyer of your quality product since a long time.
                              I have purchased 8 ceiling fans and 1 pedestal fan SDX 2000 on 24th April 2009 from Shanthi Trading Company, Kumbakonam for my newly built house.
                              On receipt itself I have found that the pedestal fan is faulty.
                              The head of the fan is revolving without any control. When contacted the seller firm maintains that the company mechanic will be sent as and when he is received.
                              So far nothing possitive is done.
                              Hence I request you to arrange to correct the problem immediately to retain your fair name.

                                I purchased an Water heater of Cromton Greaves model no.310 on 08/11/2007 receipt no 2243. The problem is that its not working from the date of instalation. I allready registered my complain at Ghaziabad service center on 12th Nov. complain no 248 and 250. In this regard also talked with Mr. Vinod, he said I am sending service engineer but still there is not any person came. as I residing the following address:
