Dear Complaint Cell,

I am the totally unsatisfied client of Videocon D2h under Card No.[protected]. As per scheme first four month was free. then We got recharged on 6th jan 2011 of Rs.150/- also requested to change the upgraded plan but didn't got activated. Now again deposited required funds but still problem not solved. Really a poor service provided by service center.

    Hello,

    i started using this Videcon Qruz, the operating system is too slow, when i type a msg it ll take 3 to 4 seconds to display very bad, and now i m haivng prob with the charger i have given in serivce center , now already 40 days passed no status nothing, i am really fed by calling service center ppl everyday...i really hate pls help me if you can

      I went to buy a DTH connection of a famous brand in Salt Lake City, Kolkata mainly for english language feeds. The dealer was also dealing ion videocob D2H and asked me to take it with a promise that the english language feed(especially for POGO) is available. I took the connection(Customer ID:12669267,Account No :1257330) with 3 months initial viewing without any charge. when I found out that POGO channel did not have english feed I asked the dealer to take back equipment and refund, which he did not. Mean while I complained to VIDEOCON D2H, who snapped the service after 1 month.
      This company is fraud, so kindly beaware.

        Dear Sir/Madam,
        I had purchased videocon Jumbo 34 inch color TV on 20.01.08 from Arihant Enterprises Bangalore under Mano ya na Mano offer/scheme. According to this offer/scheme, i have paid additional INR 7000 apart from the 12900 INR paid for 34 inch Jumbo color TV. The company(videocon) has issued a bond for INR 7000 i had paid. According to this bond, i am entitled to get a 32 inch plasma TV for free after 35 months from date of purchase. Now when 35 months have passed and i called up Videocon local branch(Mr.Syed), he said that i need to pay additional INR 4980 for taxes and INR 400 for installation.
        The condition 12 of the bond mentions as below(copy/pasting as it is from the bond).
        "The transportation cost from the said point (respective branch office of videocon Industries Ltd) and all local taxes shall be borne by the customer".
        So is the local tax INR 4980?

        Can someone from Videocon explain what is meant by local tax and why it is exactly INR 4980? How they arrived at this number? Also clearly explain what is local tax and why is to so high?
        Is the Government of India aware of this scheme and is this collection of local tax approved by the Government of India?

        The most disheartening part is the breach of trust by Videocon industried Ltd. I am heartbroken and feel absolultely cheated. How can some one claim INR 4980 for local tax? Is this really local? For eg. i am staying in Bangalore, so it should have been only the transportation cost and taxes in Bangalore, right?
        Is this the VAT? If so can someone from Videocon justify it and also quote the MRP of the Plasma 32 inch TV? If this is VAT, then bond should have mentioned it as VAT. But in bond, its called "local tax". So please justify this and also justify the amount being asked INR 4980.

        Having waited 3 years for this eagerly, now i feel cheated. The plasma TV videocon is providing also lacks basic features like A/V in and Remote(according to the company website)!!!!!! Goodness me. This is unbelievable and deserves to be 8th wonder of the world (TV without A/V in and remote these days).

        This is clear looting the people of India and breach of trust.
        Why i had to pay INR 7000 and wait for 3 full years and now pay additional 4980+400 = 5380 INR to get a product which lacks basic TV features.

        If i had kept the same amount in bank, i would have earned interest of around 9% per annum which is 630 INR for 1 year. So 3 years it is 630*3=1890 or for that matter any good mutual fund/stocks, i would have doubled the money ie now it would have been 14000 INR. So effectively i will be paying INR 14000+5380(what company claims as local tax+installation now) around 19380 INR. This is definitely not as advertised by company 3 years ago. Also the company has updated its website now only and speaking about this now only. Like this, any one can manipulate and say anything and then later update at any time. What happened to the promise made 3 years ago?
        Why the company did not give the same information 3 years ago while advertizing? Why it advertized as "Get free 32 inch plasma TV". By free the company means 5390 INR? Why this hidden agenda and breach of trust?

        This is really very disheartening to see the way company is behaving. I did not expect this from company like videocon. Probably thatswhy the company had named the scheme "Mano ya na Mano". I did Mano(believe in videocon) but they have broken my trust completely now. Moreover who will compensate for my wait of 3 years? I did not purchase other LCD/Plasma TV and waited eagerly for this thinking i will get a free good quality 32 inch Plasma TV. But now the story is totally different, pay additional amount INR 5380 and get a low quality/featureless product. Totally unexpected and a shocker from company like videocon.If companies like Videocon can stoop to such levels, then only God can save Indian citizens.
        Videocon are you listening?

        Please help me and people of India who had purchased the TV under this scheme get right product for their money without being looted further by Videocon. Videocon should respect the trust of all who believed in Videocon and purchased this product. To say in 1 line, please provide justice.

        I am Mohsin Khan I purchased Vediocon Compressor No.[protected] from M/s Electro Max, Modi House Opp. Stadium Jhansi Road Gwalior by Mr. Iqwal Khan Comp.Engineer Gwalior Rs. 2350/- against voucher no. 2947 dated 3.7.2012 under warranty 12 months.
        I want original company bill n price list n warranty card. The dealer n comp.engr are not given the original bill n price list n waranty card.
        Some vediocon dealer given aforesaid compressor Rs. 1300/- to 1500/- + 16 month warranty period.
        So, I request that please send original price list n warranty card aforesaid compressor no. I awaiting 7 days either I am going to Consumer Court Gwalior n claim your company, dealer n comp. engineer.

            I purchased Videocon V1306 mobile phone on 03/03/2010 from Kannur, kerala.
            The phone was working smooth when the torch light of the phone stopped
            working 2 weeks back.

            In my scenario, torch light is of importance to me. Since the phone is
            under warranty i approached the so called authorised Service centre of
            Videocon at Kannur district of Kerala, 'Sahar Communications' Kannur.

            The service centre people said that, the phone is water damaged. I was
            shocked to hear that, since I have been using both of my phones
            Videocon and Nokia N82 under leather pouch.

            I am 101% sure that water has not reached in the vicinity of my phone.
            I very early knew water is the greatest enemy of mobile phones and
            always take extreme care to prevent any type of contact with water.

            But this people in a rash manner insulted me and made fun of my 'ignorance'.

            When the phone was returned to me, the phone showed severe complaints
            like self restarting, keys not working, and some times stands still
            without response. I said them my phone was perfect other than the
            torch problem when i gave them for checking. But they did not bother
            and denied my words.

            Sir, please help me get my phone back. I loved my this videocon phone
            in all the ways, particularly with the music quality and 5 days
            battery life.

            Please consider my this issue as genuine and kindly restore me with my
            basic right for repairing the phone under warranty. Atleast to restore
            it to the state i handed over to them. My phone did not have any water
            contact, I am sure about it. I always use my phone in fully protected
            leather pouch, no chance of water touching the phone.

            How will i get my phone back to normal state??

              On date 24/12/2010 i had purchased a recharge voucher for rs 300 containing numer[protected] at 7 pm from dealer m/s kejriwal and sons situated at renukoot.

              i had scrached the card and made a call to customer care no-[protected], then mr rahul customer care representative told me that the above mentioned vocher was already consumed.
              and after this no body from customer care was responding , i just want to know that on which date , which time and on which cust id this card was consumed.

              i cant understand that why i bear this amount , and who is responsible for this ,and after that till today i have sent 6 reminders to the customer care but no one is responding.

                Is Videocon redistributing the chinees products / washing machines in its name or it produces its own for this model?

                  Respected Sir/Madam,

                  I am Mast. Kishore .S. Jamsutkar a resident of Bhandup writing this complaint regarding the job call letter that I encountered in my rediff E-mail ID. The call Letter is bearing the name of VIDEOCON Company.
                  As the procedure mentioned in the call letter I deposited the Amount of Rs- 8900/- as security deposit in favour of Mr Amit (Axis Bank A/c holder) as suggested by Mr. Harshvardhan Rai (Sr.Manager of company HR Department). The person naming Harshvardhan Rai told me to scan and mail the Axis Bank Deposit slip to [protected]@accountant.com and [protected]@videocon.com which I found as fake domains as according to rediffmail.com. like me nearly 550 no of applicants faced the same problem as per the return mail by rediffmail.com domain.
                  I have deposited the amount in the Axis bank Bhandup Branch on 31 December 2010. Later I found that the Call letter is fake and fraud has been committed on behalf of offering the job in the Videocon company.

                  Please find the attachments of company call letter and the Axis Bank Deposit slip.

                    since i got the videocon d2h it cause problem,My Customer Id[protected] the channels are not viewing properly, they loosing their numbers and ending my TV on a Screen which includes pictures in pictures more than 12 (12 channels on my one tv screen) i complaint abt it the Engineer (they call) came and did something. Day after i got same issue, i call him he told me call to customer care i cannot do anything, i call customer care she told me ur complain is closed.you have complaint again then only we can send Engineer today, i also made the complaint today.there is no service from their Engineers.while attending the complaint they asked to cut the tree to get clear signal.i did so but now also the same problem arise.

                      iam unable to receive signals from u r satellite hence unable to view the programmes also i tried to contact on ur toll free no but no response . Later i contacted the nodal manager bangalore and he assured of sending his people on sunday afternoon & he would confirm back by calling me but nothing has happened so please rectify my service as soon AS POSSIBLE. my contact no is [protected]

                            My customer ID is 11337770. D2H connection in the name of Ruxton Vaz.

                            Since the past couple of months I have been trying to get through your customer service nos. Every time I call up I get the same response...line busy please call back later, all you can do is sit back and keep calling only to get the same response no matter even if you call hundred times. With in two weeks time the LCD started giving problems. It goes blank and it turns off own itself. After so many calls and complaints the technician visited us after 20 days. And all he could say was that I am temporarily fixing the screen...it's mother board is dead and we should request for a replacement.

                            So, we got the brand new videocon D2H for Rs. 30,000 and in two weeks time it died on us. So, we literally paid a huge amount just to get a piece of junk into our home. Even after calling up the cust. service several times we never got a positive response. Most of the times they used to hang up on us whenever we called their service for help. I guess that’s their way of telling us that they can’t resolve the issue. Every day one or two times the screen goes blank. Even after numerous complaints till date no one came to rectify the problem. Last couple of days none of the channels are being telecasted and we have no where to call. You guys have 4-5 customer care nos. which hardly anyone answers or else it’s always busy. I wonder why you even have this so-called customer care when you can’t handle it properly.

                            I would be really grateful if you have the courtesy to either do the replacement at the earliest or else just give us our refund. I am so terribly disappointed in your service that I would never recommend anyone to get videocon D2H ever. Being a brand name if you can’t keep up with what you promise and can’t keep your customers happy even after spending our hard earned money. None of your customers will stick to your brand. If you get brand ambassadors like Abhishek Bachan just for the sake of it and to fool your customers, you should keep one thing in mind that “Once bitten is twice shy” no one will make the same mistake again. It will only be done once.

                              Not able to view the channels mosaic PIP

                              The Videocon d2h service is very bad, for the last 3-days all the channels were shuffeled and all the existing channels like news channels,movies channelsand the entertainment channels were not able to view.Though i am holding the diamond pack, i was able to view the channels .
                              The availbele and viewable channels were bangla and the South regional channels which i was not able to understand.

                                On Sunday (02-Jan-2011) engineer installed my D2h. I suggested a good position to install the d2h (which is inner side of roof, facing outside, noting is infront to block the signal and can be kept in same direction in which currently d2h is installed), but he didn't installed there. He installed inner side of the roof wall facing inside. Now in the late evening our house owner came and didn't agreed and told to change the place of d2h. Nowhere i see other DTH installed like this. now for shifting the position they are asking 500 Rupees.

                                  i was talked to mr.hemant to activate the (ten cricket) on 2nd janauray at 8.30 pm.but he was activateed the neo sports ,,,,,i was complaint about this again that please activate (ten cricket) not neo cricket...he was told me that it would be activated on 3rd january at 4.30 pm...then he was activated ( ten sports or ten action plus),,but not ten cricket.....till now (ten sports ,,neo sports) are not deactivated,,,
                                  so please deactivate these channels and activate( TEN CRICKET )
                                  i was talked with mr.hemant,,mr.shushil,,mr.rajesh,,miss kalpana,,miss akaansha and 2 or 3 more peoples,,,but we are not satisfied with these peoples conversation....

                                    On 22.05.2012 an engineer from Videocon installed Videocon antina. I purchased 19 metres of cable from him and I also paid him Rs. 400.00 in cash (charges of installation Rs. 200.00 + cost of cable Rs. 200.00). Contact / Cell No. of the person is [protected].

                                    I done the recharge of Rs. 200.00 online (by credit card) on 22.05.2012.

                                    Since 27.05.2012 suddenly the connection is disconnected. Upon calling to the customer care, they informed me that installation charges worth Rs. 200.00 has been debited to my D2H account (although I have paid that person Rs. 400.00 in cash).

                                    Could you explain me why there is a double charge?

                                    Further, I receive SMS from Vediocon upon every recharge saying your account has been credited by Rs. XX.XX. Even I receive SMS for special promotions.

                                    WHY I DID NOT RECEIVE SMS FOR DEBITING MY ACCOUNT FOR RS. 200.00 ???

                                    Upon calling to customer care I immediately receive SMS stating my complain no.[protected] and THAT WILL GET RESOLVED BY FRIDAY ??? Whay it takes that long time to resolve the issue where THE CUSTOMER IS NOT AT ALL IN ANY FAULT ???

                                    Don't you have any system in place where you can chase the person (send by you for installation) to ask why Rs. 200.00 was not remitted to you ???

                                    i planned to shift from my old address to my new house just 1 km away from the old address.. so i contacted videocon d2h's customer care and put in a request of removal and reinstallation of the equipment so they filed my request and they gave me a reference number...promising the engineer would visit in 24 hrs...but i didn't got any response...
                                    so next morning i called up again, this time i was promised that the engineer would visit in next 12 hrs...but again i got the same response (no visit and no call at all)...same sequence continued and they gave me 4 reference numbers but NOTHING HAPPENED...
                                    the same way i called up again and this time i had a word with the supervisor and was given a contact number but as usual didn't got any response...so now its been 5 days without any response so finally had to file a complaint here...expecting an early reply atleast now...

                                    I have bought an Vediocon TV with inbuilt set top box.
                                    I have made a complaint for this same thing for many times the error is E04-4. I am really amazed that all your home channels are working properly and the other channel shows E40-4 Smart card not inserted properly.
                                    Your customer service executives don't know anything and all speak same thing as a parrot.
                                    I feel that if the card is not properly installed all the channels should not work. Thus I feel the error is displayed on purpose, to haress the customer and make waste of their money.
                                    Please stop this as it is exploitation of the customer and it can make a fraud case on your company.
                                    This same msg will also be posted online on other media.
