Dear Sir,

Relating to water supply, I am putting down my problems faced by us due to this water crises.

1. This is to bring your notice that, we are not receiving water regularly in our locality. For last two months there is no water supply. we are facing lot of problem due to this crises. So please supply water immediately.

2. Supply of water should be in a regular time. it should not be at 4am mourning. This is a time when people take rest to keep themselves fit for next day.

    Somewhere in the end of December 2013 and start of January 2014, when the Kejriwal Government had won the legisaltive elections and Arvind Kejriwal became the CM, some official from the Delhi Jal Board visited my house and said my meter was faulty as it was not showing any reading. He removed the meter and said a new meter will be installed now which shows proper reading for the purpose of getting accurate bills as many consumers were facing the problem of inaccurate and huge bills. The house where I stay is my mother's house, who stays in Mumbai and I too stay a lot in Mumbai as she is of old age and keeps calling me to stay with her. My husband passed away in 1999 and I am a single mother of two children who stay with their grandmother in some other house within the same locality. For some time I kept waiting for the new meter to be installed but no one came to install the new meter. When I went to the local Delhi jal Board office they told me to wait as Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from the Chief Minister and the DJB authorities were yet to decide what to do about faulty meters as decision was still pending.

    On some visits to the DJB they would tell me to wait or either buy a new meter yourself and apply for a new connection. I told them what is the guarantee that they will not say gain that my new meter is faulty to which they said there is no guarantee. Everytime they had a different suggestion to give and no proper answer/suggestion was given to me. Most of the time they would say "madam aadhi Delhi ke paas meter ya toh nahin hai ya faulty hai toh is problem ko solve karne mein time toh lagega". I asked them why they just took my meter and not everyone else's meter who stay in different floors on the same plot to which they said my meter was faulty and they will check other meters too when they get time. I told them that no one ever told us that our meter was faulty and it has been a very long time since we got water bill.

    Again I was told to wait or buy a meter from my own pocket which again could be declared as faulty and DJB could disapprove it and remove it again. Therefore, it was best for me to wait and not spend money unnecessarily. Some officials even said "Madam 5000 rs dedo saara kaam okay karwa denge" but I refused because I had hope in the Kejriwal Government when they got re elected in 2015 that they would solve this problem now as many promises were made regarding water meter connection and bills at that time.

    I know that it had totally skipped my mind to find out about the status of new meter but I visited the DJB department on various occasions after that but my request were falling on deaf ears.

    Recently some officials from the DJB arrived at my house and asked me to show them my meter. I told them about my meter and what happened in the past to which they said " madam yeh aapka kaam hai meter lagwana chahe department se lagwayo ya baahar se par hamari thodhi seva toh karni chahiye nahin toh hum aapki seva kaise karenge". I immediately got a hint that they were asking for a bribe to install a new meter connection.

    I told them that I will visit the department again to which they said ab toh bahut late ho gaye aap humein paise dedo ham sab ok karwa denge. When I refused, they left and said koi baat nahin hamein mat pareshan karna jab hum paani kaat denge".

    This is totally unacceptable behavior from DJB officials which must be looked upon by senior officials. I am sure many other people in Delhi would be facing similar situation like mine where government officials misuse their power and unnecessarily trouble common people. It is DJB's fault that they asked me to wait until a decision was taken by DJB to install meters on their own. If my meter was faulty how was I supposed to know. Why did they never send me any bills for my meter. These are the questions I asked the DJB officials but they could not give any proper explanation for that.

    Please look into this matter urgently and let me know what I can do to get a new meter which they will not say is faulty and avoid the officials who are asking for bribe to get new meter and connection.

    Since 5 days I am getting muddy brown coloured water in the supply water from jal board.
    The water is so muddy that it can't be used for any purposes.
    My pipe lines are also choked because of the same .Pls resolve the matter urgently

      I, Mohd Yaseen resident memeber of Malik Apartment(which bear 16 numbers of flats) 73/172, Flat No-8, 2nd Floor, Savitri Nagar, New Delhi since 2005.I am working ALL INDIA RADIO as a assistant engineer and my job is transferable.
      At present we are not living in our flat since one and a half year back(In support we are enclosing the electricity bill for your ready reference).
      My flat is still vacant even that water bills are coming regularly without meter reading . In spite of that i deposited the billing amount in time when ever the SMS comes through online. Hence you are requested to cancel my latest bill amount of Rs 3583 vide bill no[protected] and adjust my all deposited amount according to the consumption of water for future billing.

          Hi MCD Team,

          Kindly be informed that the polluted water is being supplied to our houses in Block 16, Subhash Nagar, New Delhi. The water is so stinking that it feels like the water is coming directly from some sewage or drain. You cannot even stay for 1 minute in the bathroom with that smell. I have been reading the complaints on multiple complaint boards online and have seen that people are writing about the same issue in Delhi since last one year. I don't know if someone from MCD is reading these complaints and taking any corrective steps in this regard.

          Request you to kindly resolve this issue asap as polluted water is bad for everyone's health and you never know what pandemic it can bring along to the whole society.

          I would really appreciate if anyone from MCD can inform at [protected] when the issue is resolved, or if they are working to resolve the issue.

            Delhi Jal Board — Dirty Smelly Water | Area Ramesh Park Gali no 08


            Respected sir/madam

            I am one of the resident of Ramesh Park which comes under the Laxmi nagar area. Our area is suffering from highly dirty and smelly water from a long time which is not even suitable for washing and cleaning purpose, no one can even think of drinking it. It smells like it comes from some dead bodies. Please help us in this matter since it becoming a serious issue.

                Reference to the New K NO: [protected], it is to inform you that I have received a Delhi Jal Board water consumption bill of Rs. 6, 505 dated 07-Mar-2017. The consumption for the period 20-Nov-2016 to 07-March-2017 i.e. 107 days is 179 units. Earlier the bill dated 25-Jul-2016 had also reflected higher consumption (142 units for 116 days). Both the above latest consumption are very much on the higher side as can be seen from the previous consumption history where our maximum consumption had been 108 units for 120 days. You are kindly requested to issue the above two bills based on the average consumption in the past and replace the water meter which obviously seems faulty. Please note that last date for payment of the last bill was 24th April 2017 and I have already paid the same. I had never been a defaulter and hence you are kindly requested to address the grievance at the earliest. Your early action on the above will be appreciated. The excess amount may be adjusted in my next future Bill.

                  I have received a domestic water consumption bill of Rs. 11, 759 on the purported contention that the consumption for the period 27-Jan 2017 to 27-March-2017 for 59 days is 4850 units. This is impossible as can be seen from the previous consumption history where our maximum consumption has been 57 units for 66 days. You are kindly requested to issue the bill based on average consumption in the past and replace the water meter which obviously seems faulty. Please note that last date of clearing the bill is 13th April 2017 and we have never been defaulters so we request for an immediate resolution of our grievance without having to pay such heavy amount of bill for no fault of ours.

                    There is no supply of Delhi Jal board water in gali no. 8, wazirabad, Delhi-110084. There is adequate supply of water in other nearby gali/locations except gali no. 8 for unknown reason. Despite of complaining many times to the JE/DJB, still there is no action to resolve this issue. People living in gali no. 8 are tired off complaining about the issue and are forced to drink unhygeinic boring water.
                    You are requested to take immediate necessary action to solve this issue or either we have to take this matter to the higher authorities.

                    Hello I am resident of A8/36 Rana Pratap bagh. I have sent numerous complaints and emails mentioning we have been getting sewer water in our home in normal water line. Water is very unhygienic and cant be used for any purpose. It is vry touch for us to live like that. I am a senior citizen and dont know what to do to get this fixed.
                    I, Asker Choudhury, am in Sangam vihar, wazirabad 110084. I recieve very smelly, contaminated wiyh drain water, which ruins whatever already present in the tank. Also the consistency of timing of water is very poor. Sometimes water never comes, sometimes water comes for 30 mins, and almost every time contaminated smelly water. What is happening here, treating the people of delhi like cattles with very low interest for our health and prosperity.
                    Please rectify this situation before an epidemic occurs in the heart of delhi which is an extremely embarrassing thing for the dignity of India

                      For the past few days the water supply has been erratic in the so called posh South Delhi locality called Chitta Ranjan Park F block buildings around my building no F 1152. When we complain, we receive a reply that there is no problem and water supply is normal. The residents of the locality are facing daily problem and their dys start with battle for water. Those who can afford they purchase water through water tankers paying handsome money.The only means remains with the majority is to take to the streets to protest. Please see that the situation does not worsen. This is a very sensitive issue. Please accord it the seriousness it deserves.

                            Please provide a few water tankers in NDMC Housing Complex, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi-110085 as there is no supply of water in 250 flats of NDMC Housing Complex, sector-11, Rohini, Delhi-110085. I had also requested vide complaint no.[protected] today i.e. 28.3.2017 but no tankers have been sent till now. It is therefore requested that water supply must be continued immediately by repairing the damaged water pipe if any and in the mean time a few tankers must be sent to NDMC Housing Complex, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi-110085 so that we can meet our immediate requirement of water.

                              It has been more than 9 days since water supply is not there in our area. My K no. is [protected]
                              We have been struggling for the water for many days. In few of the places the water supply is coming but the pressure is low that is the reason it is not going through the other places (my place).

                              I request to look into this issue on the most urgent basis.

                                It has been 4 consecutive days since water supply to Mukherjee Nagar, Indra Vihar has been stopped. As a student it is very hard to continue with our daily activities let alone prepare meals. Please adhere to the situation being faced as soon as possible. Some areas in North Delhi has already received water supply after 2 days yet Indra Vihar has been facing water shortage till now.

                                  I had installed a private water meter which after some time got defected. I got it fixed by the water meter company. Now 2 guys from Delhi Jal Board came to check the reading on 26th morning and asking to replace the meter. Why would i replace the meter when it got fixed under 5 years warranty and is working properly. Need clarification on this matter.

                                    I've been receiving too much impure, dirty and contaminated water for about 15 days and still it is continued even after I've complained before, having reference no.[protected]. By having this much ignorance from DJB, I've taken up my trust from it. It has the worst service amongst those services that I currently do have access to.
                                    But still in hope that something would get better in future, I am applying this complaint only on the basis of hope because I don't have even a bit of trust on DJB.

                                    Waste water is been thrown out loose instead of throwing it in sewer because of that water logging is created and mosquitos are born in that waste water. Flat 715, Metro View Appartments, Sector 13 Pocket B, DDA SFS Flats was purchased in the name of my wife Sushma Sharma in 2009, where as the name reflected in water bill is still of previous owner, Mr Ved Parkash Sethi. All transfer actions were taken and fees paid. It should be changed to my wife name.
                                        Delhi Jal Board customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
                                        My quarterly water bill has been around 400+ however this past quarter I was handed a bill of 2800+!! I checked the meter readings and is advancing but I the meter usage shows erratic! I'd raised a complaint [protected] but was closed stating that my phone was switched off which generally doesn't happen.

                                        Sir, Ihave paid in above mentioned Ac Rs969 on 12 Dec. Surprisingly it is showin in my latest bill 18/03/2017no[protected]. as arrear.
                                        By mistake On25/03/2017 I have paid full demand Rs2500.
                                        Pl take necessary action and adjust in coming bill.
