called easy cab for a car very promptly after 2 minutes got a an sms with car no and driver no, after 2 minutes driver calls i miss the call and call back, the driver says he needs to go to the airport so cannot come arrange a cab for yourself . Car no 2713, chaffuer tel no - [protected], so if anybody is in a hurry do not call for easy cabs
I HAD A HARROWING EXPERIENCE WITH EASY CABS AND NOW WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS SERVICE EITHER STOPS CHEATING FOLKS OR SHUT THEIR OPERATION IN BANGALORE. SENT THE BELOW NOTICE TO THEM. WHOEVER INTERESTED, GET IN TOUCH WITH ME, WE WILL FIGHT THIS OUT.

Subject: Legal notice against the false booking and not honoring the booking commitment

Dear Sir,

1) I am Shishir Tiwari and I had booked Easy Cab for 02 July 2010 via booking ID B001830 to Bangalore City Railway Station at 5 PM. Just before 30 minutes from departure, I called up your customer care and they told me that I will be getting the sms stating the driver’s name, phone number after 10 minutes. When I didn’t get the information by 4:35 PM, I again called up the customer care and I was put on wait indefinitely and I had to cut the put. Right after that call, at 4:42 PM, I got another sms stating that the booking got canceled before o[censored]navailability of cab in my area. I again called up the customer care and then they informed me about the cancellation and also told that they can only confirm the booking 30 minutes before departure. It seemed that as if it was my mistake to trust Easy cabs.

2) It is evident from the above your company has indulged in unfair trade practice by not informing me that my booking is not confirmed and it may get cancelled before 30 minutes. It seems that you take the bookings and at the time of reporting, you choose the ones who can yield you better profits without even a slight consideration to the hardships, which the other customers are put to. Your terms and conditions should clearly state this fact that your booking can be cancelled before 30 minutes.

3) There is a deficiency in your service as you failed to inform me in advance about the cancellation and I was put into tremendous mental pressure, physical hardship because of this.

Hence, as per the rights given to a consumer as per the constitution of India, I call upon you to do the following things:

- Clearly provide for the education of customer that you try to find the cab 30 minutes before the departure time and you cancel the booking of the customer if you are unable to find a cab. The same should also come with the confirmation sms.
- Clearly specify your booking procedure and the order of preference you give to the customers as if you search the Internet you will find similar stories everywhere. It seems that your company deliberately employ these tactics
- Provide the cancellation information to the customers well in advance (more than two hours) so that they can make alternate arrangements. In my case, I was informed mere 15 minutes earlier.
- I was put to severe mental agony and physical harassment with my aged parents. I demand you to pay 10000/- towards the damages failing which I will be forced to put up a legal case and go to print, electronic media highlighting this issue for redressal of my complaint.

In spite of this legal notice, if you fail to do the above mentioned things and pay the compensation within 15 days from the receipt of the notice and perform other obligations, please note that I will not hesitate to move proper forum, courts of law for redressal of my grievance at your cost.

Easy Cab — Not reporting even after confirmed booking

Easy Cab has a very unreliable service. I had a confirmed booking for 12 nov 8.30 AM from Andheri to Chembur which was reconfirmed at 7 Am.
At the designated time there was no sign of the taxi, I called Easy Cab to find out the reason they very rudely said that since cabs were over booked they cancelled my booking at which point I requested to speak to their senior person, they just kept me on hold for ever and no one came on line. Because of Easy Cabs carelessness I got late for my appointment, strict action should be taken against such Fraud agencies who operate in our city and spoil reputation of the same.

    The last few months I happened to do a lot of domestic travel. Each time I would need a cab to get to the railway station because the train was a night-starter. being a new entrant especially after the new
    airport opened up, Easy cab looked like a breath of fresh air. The first time I booked, I was inundated with information on who the cab driver will be, what is his number, whats the cabs number etc and drivers mobile number. I could call and check anytime.

    That day, it turned out, I was really lucky. Driver came on time, greeted us warmly, got us to the destination with no fuss or mad driving and the rate came to 20Rs less than Spot City Taxi.

    Now Spot City Taxi is a veteran, a seemingly disgruntled team which is gruff, can't speak much english and don't seem enthusiastic about their job. If I ignore the behavior layer, I would rate Spot City Taxi as the best ordinary taxi service in Bangalore. They have NEVER been late. The drivers are at location at least 30 minutes before time almost irritatingly. They get you to the destination ON TIME. In a 30-40 minute commute, I really don't care if I can't make conversation with the driver or if he's yelling at pedestrians jumping in the way or a trifle overspeeding. I get to the destination ON TIME EVERYTIME.

    Easy Cab guys have some gall. For the last 5 bookings I have made they have ruined my mood everytime I start for my journey. the sourness makes you yell at everybody later on for no reason. That is why I hate their idiotic non-existent service. They have ACs in their car. They also have no management skills. The drivers speak well and are well dressed. They also will not pick your call if you want to check why they are running late. They have new cars and a recognisable brand identity. They also have a pathetic call center. to get to an executive you have to wait long enough to get another shave. The executive speak well. They also do not know why their drivers are more than 40 minutes late and still haven't called.

    I have my self 3 out of 5 times co-ordinated between the $#@$ driver and the call center to tell who
    has reached where. Last time I yelled my lungs out at all of them. But you know what it didn't help. I was quite put out and was snapping at anything that looked at me. And the lazy and incompetent Easy Cab bunch was going on doing this to me.

    The best thing I thought I'd do is to erase their phone number from my phone and let people know about them. Because only if all affected people put out their voice will there be a definitive change. It's time people learnt to do their job properly. So I thought it's my duty to let people know not to be taken for a ride. If you are charged you have the right to demand service. no one does things for free.

    5 times out of 5, I was promised 7PM and the cab hadn't come to me even at 8:30PM. 8 calls and 30 minutes of my Pre-paid time was wasted. Guess what, they never called, the cab never came, they never apologised. My train was only at 10PM but I know there are fools who don't care for your time. So you've got to make use of it and get alternate arrangements made.

    The last time this happened (last week) I got into an passing auto with 3 pieces of luggage.I had to pay a 'premium' of 120Rs as opposed to 70Rs. But the guy got me there by 9:30PM. And I made sure I erased the Easy Cab numbers from my memory.

    it was bad for me this morning. the driver was rude and acted like he was doing a favour on me. he arrived 15 mins earlier and insisted on a waiting charge. though i paid none, it wasnt my fault that the call center wrote down wrong time. the call center gave him the destination ~1km earlier than the actual destination, which is really not my problem. he said he would have cancelled the drop at the source. worst kind of service for the money you pay.
    I’m frequent user of taxi service. The call center executive’s job is over once they inform the driver. There is no one to check if the driver started to the pick up point. 2 times I missed doc’s appointment due to the lack of coordination or responsibility.
    1) Once I booked Easy cab for my cousin to take her child to a doctor. The cab was 1hr late and she missed the appointment with the doc. Later she had to hire another cab and had to go some other doc.
    2) This time I booked Easy cab at least 7hrs before the schedule to take my baby to a doctor. We had an appointment at 4pm, this time also the cab did not come on time. So I called the driver he was telling he was in Cantonment railway station which is more than 10km away from my house. He said he would reach home in 15min. But did not happen, so I called him a couple of times and he did not respond. When I called the customer care they said he is on the way and again insisting me to call the driver. I did that and he did not answer the call again. That day I called the customer care at least 5 times (not exaggerating) and I even told them to forward the call to the manager which they did not do.

    The doctor who we took appointment was a busy person and we missed the appointment had to postpone it.

    That was the last time I called Easy cabs. I’m happy with the other cab services.
    If you have anything important Easy cab is not he right choice, do not trust. Let that be your last option.
    to day i booked easy cab for going to city stn next day at 0430h. they confirmed booking. but when i asked if i get the cab in time, they said it cannot be confirmed as cab may or maynot come, and that they would message 30 mts before which mean at 0400hrs they may say that cab will not come. with this uncertanity can any one take a chance, particularly when one needs cab at odd hrs. please dont go for easy cab

    my experience of easy cabs drivers was awful. They never come on time and on top of that they lie...
    never ever take them

      I booked a cab from Easy Cabs on[protected]. the cab was full of smoke as driver might have smoked in the cab, due to urgnecy, we had to take the service, and we complained about it also. but no action was taken.
      Today (14/09/08) I booked Easy Cab from Nangloi to Gurgaon at 3:15PM. Schedule reporting time was 3:45 PM, but when nobody turn up till 4:00 PM. Then I made a call to Easy Cab regarding the status, they gave me the false info that Easy cab struck in traffic it is reaching you shortly. I repeatedly made call to them at every 15 minutes regarding the status but nobody was able to provide the exact status. Finally Easy cab office ([protected] ) gave me call that you will get the taxi with in ten minutes. Now this time Easy Cab driver ([protected]) gave me a call at 4:45 PM that he is in Nangloi itself and reaching shortly. But finally the driver again gave me a call that 5:07 PM that my vehicle is broke down and he is unable to reach. Then I again made a call to Easy Cab to provide me the other taxi, but they raise there hand. And even they didn't bother to call me. Its the burning example of there unprofessional approach of Easy cab. Its name should be Difficult Cab to justify there services.
      Yes, I agree. I have tried to book a cab thru them several times. They ask us from where is the taxi to go where, and as soon as they hear that it is a local fare, they deny to take us. The best part is that I need advice to take them to consumer court. They never deny that they cannot send a taxi for me locally, instead they always say that they are trying to find out the status of a taxi. The woman doesnt even put me on hold, and gives me a reply in a flash..how does their system tell them that information in a couple of seconds? I have an idea of what they do. All the call center people have been advised to tell people who ask for a local cab that please call one hour in advance of requirement. If there is a driver in the vicinity and not doing anything...roaming around then he will take the call. Else you are doomed. They should make it very clear that they do not take local gurgaon fare. Bunch of losers and unprofessional people.

      YESTERDAY I HIRED A CITY CAB TAXI (VERSA) FROM INTL.AIRPORT DELHI TO NARAINA VIHAR, NEW DELHI MY RESIDENCE, I TOLD TO YOUR WINDOW PERSON ALSO TO TAKE THE CAR VIA RIDGE ROAD AS THERE IS A HEAVY TRAFFIC AT NARAINA VIHAR RING ROAD JUNCTURE DUE TO HEAVY BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND THE SAME WAS CONVEYED TO THE DRIVER AND HE THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE UPTO DHAULA KUAN AND AGAIN CAME BACK TO RING ROAD DESPITE MY REQUEST TO HIM. THUS HE TOOK 45 MIN.MORE AND WASTED MY TIME AND HIS TIME BUT NOT AGREE TO GO VIA RIDGE ROAD. HE ALSO MISBEHAVE WITH ME AND WAS STOPPING THE CAR ON WAY, THEN I HAD NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO OBEY HIM AS I WAS WITH MY FAMILY. THE TAXI NO. WAS DL 1 RX -6378 AND RECEIPT NO. WAS 7533 DT.21.5.09.HE TOLD ME GO ANYWHERE I AM NOT WORRY I SHALL DO JOB SOMEWHERE ELSE. SO, HE HARASSED ME ALSO. I NEED TO SEE ACTION AGAINST THESE TYPES OF DRIVERS SO THAT OTHERS MAY NOT SUFFER.
