I purchased a phone on ebay where the seller mentioned the phone comes with 6 Months Manufacturers Warranty. It was purchased in December 2015 so the warranty should be valid till June 2016. The phone was received in good condition so no complaints there. I had some minor issue with the phone so go to Apple Authorised Service Centre and they told me phone is out of warranty since Jan 2015. This means the seller was wrongly putting information that it comes with 6 months Manufacturers warranty when phone was out of warranty.

I tried contacting ebay and they say they cannot do anything now as matter is more than 30 days old. My question is a consumer would just check if the phone is all ok when he receives it, warranty he would check only when something goes wrong and he needs to visit the serivce centre. I argue with ebay but they not helpful.

The invoice of the seller does not have any phone number. I have emailed him multiple times and he does not respond back. I asked ebay for their contact details and they refuse to share, nor i can give negative feedback to the seller so others are warned about his cons.

How do i go about fighting my case or atleast stop others from falling prey to such sellers?

I dont mind going to any extent filing a case s more than money i need to tecah the seller a lesson.

Would appreciate you advise and help here.

    Websites like ebay making fool o[censored]s, Ban this kind of websites in india, They people are selling fake/duplicate products and even dont have proper/correct details about sellers on their website. Anybody can sell fake products on ebay and they will not take action on that kind of sellers. They are just making profit with the interest on money taken by customers on their websites..       I ordered an Panasonic eluga u back panel in white color on ebay.com.But they given me an broken back panel in black colour without quality.So i contact eBay to resolve my problem and I request kindly initiate my refund into ebay in next day Mar -13-16 . After that now more than 2 weeks past still they will not given my money back to me. Each time i calling them they telling we will refund within 10 business day but already it went passed 2 weeks more now. They are cheating me by telling that your refund is initiated in between 2 weeks see even though i don't get my refund .It clearly indicates that eBay.com cheating me by telling number of days count only. EBay also crosses the limit of Tate .Now I contact to eBay they tell wait 48 hours again and again.Kindly solve me problem immediately. Thank you

        Hi My self sandeep singh. i bought this item on 22 April and received on 26 April. This item is not as described by seller and this item is not genuine, its a duplicate of original. 1. i ordered for color black and i received whilte. 2. This item is a duplicate of original. points to find duplicate a) on both of receiver there should be character R and L respectively, but here on both of receiver character is L b) bending direction of both receiver is same, where as it should be opposite to each other. Now none of ebay customer service nor seller responding for my refund.

            I purchased an item on 29th march in ebay still i did not receive my item after it's dead line.so i compromised to go for refund, but they put my refund request on hold.still they are doing nothing and says that the item was shipped so we need one day to process it.
            Every time I call or chat with them they say they will contact me back the next day..But that tomorrow never comes.
            The customer care is full of who cannot resolve anything. If they don't have any idea and they cant do anything then what is the use of contacting such fools everyday ? Why doesn't ebay provide support from someone who can help ? I have lost all my hopes. The only thing left for me to do now is to file a case in the consumer court to get my money back as also claim compensation for all the harassment. Guys don't ever buy anything on ebay. They will eat your money for sure.

              Above perfume was supplied to me and as soon as received i found that it was fake and complained to seller who kept on insisting that it was genuine .
              And did not resolve the issue.

              I have repeatedly contacted seller but to no avail.
              Afterwards i contacted ebayindia and they kept on insisting that they were not responsible and did not bother to revert and also stated that they are not responsible for these issues., also did not take any action and simply said that there claim was not to be entertained and does not come under perview of warranty.
              Even after repeated tries ebay did not respond.

                Ordered a watch on 1 April 2016 from eBay for rupees 2999, it was sent via FedEx courier but they returned the product without delivery, subsequently i raised a refund claim on 14 april 2016, but till date my refund claim has not been processed. Contacted customer service team many times but all the time they say to wait for 2 to 3 days. They never contacted me, they looted my money, they are us fool, cheating and fraud so openly... Cannot believe that ebay guarantee was a fraud only...

                  Its been over 20 days that I have lodged a complaint towards the duplicate Product (PNY 10400 MAH) delivered by ebay which is not functioning properly from very first day. Overall a very bad experience with E-Bay. I Would like to get my product replaced with original, if not then I expect my money back.

                      My name is rahul and a fed up customer as i am now thinking why ordered from ebay.

                      Anyways, this is regarding paisa pay id - [protected], i returned the product as it was of inferior quality and also broken. I was asked to courier this product at my cost & was assured the amount incurred by me rs 906 will be returned to me as a demand draft.

                      Since aug'14 i have been following up, sent so many e-mails but no body replied (See chain mail below) also called numerous times on your customer care number [protected] but apart from apology no body helped. You may refer to ticket number 1-[protected] as well. Everytime i was told within 15 days or 7 days i will get the demand draft but of no use.

                      I am highly dissatisfied with the service given by you guys even being i am a regular customer.

                      Never expected this long delay in resolving such a small matter.

                      Nevertheless, i am escalating this matter to you and would like to confirm by when i will receive the demand draft of rs 906?

                      Looking forward for a written confirmation and also call on my mobile [protected] for the dd confirmation.

                      Even if now you guys are of no help then i have no other option but to take a legal action.

                        I purchased shoes of 9' number, from lotto brand. But when i tried to wore it, it was too much difficult to wear, i think it was hardly of 7' no. size. When I contacted to Consignor (she refused to tell the name-Mob no. [protected]), she told me that I have to pay the shipping charges and also they will not provide the same type shoe.

                        Also it was very unfortunate to know that manufacturing date of this shoe was DEC-2013, ebay is selling too much old shoes.

                        So many e-commerce companies are there in market, but they are not charging shipping cost during return, it is very disappointing to know ebay is charging for same.

                          This is the complaint that one of the seller (marked as trusted seller by ebay) has sold be a different colour which is 5 thousand cheaper than the amount paid by me. On the ebay site they mentioned Gold colour with pictures and i placed the order but when i received the shipment the color was rose gold which is INR 5 thousand cheaper. till then from last 2 months i am continuously following up with eBay and seller but nothing has happened. I requested for colour change but ebay is not helping in resolving this issue. Now i want my refund of total amount and dont want to use your cheap product.

                          Its very sad that i have to followup so many times just to get the product for which i have paid my hard earned money. Seems like ebay does not care about customers now.                           Most surprising is that ebay let these thief's stole customer money and when we reach you for clarification you further harass the customers by giving them fake deadlines.

                              I buy a tripod of rs 1100 from eBay, the product I receive is damaged, so I request to eBay for exchange or refund.from that day 38 days passes but no any courier came to my house for pickup of damaged tripod.
                              Then I go to a courier company named as FedEx and ship the damaged tripod by FedEx courier on 17/03/16, then I give proof of sending product to eby.
                              Ebay said that when the damaged product reach to the seller then we will refund you.
                              I call daily to FedEx and eBay .fed ex says that I don't know where is product, and eBay says that product is not delivered to the seller sir I am fully harassed by these all things, and on 26/04/16...78th day of the claim raise.
                              I think there is no person who help me.
                              So, please do something.

                                I had purchased quick heal internet security essentials 3 pcs for 1 year
                                From ebay.India on 13/04/2016 for 1399 rs/- ... I got it on 17/04/2016 cash on delivery and on the cd cover it is written the cd will work only in karnataka, kerala and tamil nadu, still for a confirmation i called quick heal customer care, they said the cd will not work in maharashtra. Even today i spoke to the customer care they said ''you will get a call from claim department in 20days'' they also said that i wont be getting my money as cash i will be getting it as a dd or cheque..
                                I'm regretting for buying on ebay, i asked them for refund and also told the customer care that if you are not able to give me in cash then i will buy another item but they resisted saying its the concern of claim department, we cant help you.
                                I just need a quick resolution as i cant wait for my laptop being without antivirus.

                                      It is very disappointing to say that the service provided by eBay India is
                                      below standards. I had ordered a new iPhone 5c and received a defected
                                      piece. On the same day i raised the guarantee claim and asked for refund,
                                      Along with that, I had attached the photos of the phone, but now it is more than 2 weeks, i haven't received any response from your side. At present, i
                                      lost faith in eBay and your customer care service, So look into the matter
                                      seriously and refund my money as early as possible.

                                        I purchased a phone on ebay about 20days ago and the phone which i got was not anew phone and it was not in a working condition and when i called the customer care they did tell me that the phone will be replaced with in 7 days and as per ebay protection they claim to give a solution in 20 days.
                                        but its been 20 or more days and i havent gotten any solution and the customer care call center workers are rude lazy and arrogent they dont know how to behave.
                                        eBay.in customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
