I purchased this cell phone "Samsung Omnia i910 (Verizon-CDMA) from ebay by a seller name i2c world, I asked him will it work on Indian Network like Reliance or Tata CDMA? He said yes, you just need to go to local shop to get it unlocked and it will work. I got this phone and gone each and every corner of my city and the next big city for almost one and half months now but no one is able to help me, as everyone says it cannot be done.
I approached i2c World and requested them to unlock it for me or suggest me someone who can unlock it for me, and I also told them that I am ready to pay whatever charges it will be for unlocking the cell phone. I was ready to pay them and the guy who will unlock it for me. But they never responded to my emails after that.
So, I took help of ebay chat rep, he said shared my concern and he suggested me to opt for Refund option and I will get a call within 2 days, but didn't got any call within 5 days, so I approached again and very next day I got a call and I shared everything again to that lady. She heard everything and said, we will get back to you.
Then, I waited for more than a week but I didn't not got any call. So, again I chatted with ebay chat rep, he said you will get a call very soon, I have forwarded your complain. I waited for 5 more days, but no call again, so again I went for chat and this time they said, I will get a call within 2 hours. I was not happy to I asked for Supervisor (Pranay) he was very rude and tried ending the chat without resolving my issue. And said, I need to wait for 3 hrs.
I waited for 28 hrs, but never got any call, so I directly approached Pranay this time and he was rude again with me and I had a heated argument with him for making me go round and round, so he said I need to wait for 2 days now. I told him, give me in written or send me an email that yes, I will get a call within 2 days and also told me that I will get email about it within 1 hr. But for 3 days there was no call nor any email.
So, I forwarded this issue to the higher lever by email and after waiting for 3 days and letting them know that I will file complain against them in Consumer Court, today I got a call saying that they have rejected my refund. I told that guy everything again and he said that it is mentioned that Carrier is Verizon (US CDMA service provider) so it will not work in India. I told him, if that is the case, then why did the seller told me that it will work in India? And, when you too know about it, how can you allow them to sell that cell phone to Indian customers when you now it will not work here?
The guy had no answer. And then, I received an email saying the reason for refund rejection is: "Others."
Now what do I understand with "Others?" This is ridiculous... terrible customer service.
Here, the seller is selling item which we cannot use in India, still Ebay allowing him (i2c World) to sell it on your website (to Indian customers) which will make other customers to buy it and then suffer like me and lose their hard earned money as the seller provides totally wrong information to the customer to get a sale and once he receives your money he never responses to your emails or helps you in any way.
On top of it, ebay too helps those kind of people and reject our plea for refund when they should not be allowed to sell items which does not work in India/cannot be used in India.
This is absolute cheating and fraud done with many customers who are shopping on this site.
Now I would be filing a legal complain against the seller and ebay for cheating the customer and protecting the fraud instead of helping the customer, although they mention on their home page that they will protect the customers and will refund/replace if the product is not delivered or not as it was mentioned.
Don't know if this will help me or not, I hope other customers like me don't get into their trap and lose their hard earned money... Very unhappy customer... :(

The seller in-fact started blaming me saying that I have overcharged the phone due to which it is dead. When a phone doesn't startup, it is your first step to charge the phone. Even ebay is in his support and they are blaming me on the same ground.
This seller has 100% positive feedback. He got it this way, After he sends you some product he will contact you within 2 days and lures you saying I will send you a bluetooth headset/pendrive or something else and will ask you to provide positive feedback. After you have provided your feedback, you will not be able to edit it. In my case, ebay has disabled the feedback link in all. So, I could not even provide my feedback and ebay assumes it as a positive feedback, if you don't provide any.
I have even spent 500 rupees for Akosha.com. They will just send you some emails that they have contacted eBay and eBay cannot do anything on this. Please don't waste your money on Akosha.com too and try to keep away from eBay.
