My name is pradeep rajput, living in nagpur. I have a son studying in pune. On 1st may2017, i bought an iphone (6s-64gb) from ebay and paid immediately through credit card - emi route for my son. Address given was of pune home of my son. After about 6 days i called up the seller and enquired about the delivery of the phone. I was informed that maximum delivery time was 20 days and my son will be delivered the phone within that timeframe of 20 days from the date of purchase. When i called them again on 20th may, the seller assured that the phone will be delivered within 2-3 days and miss almas from digital estore (The seller apologised for the delay). When the phone was not delivered even after 23rd may, i complained to ebay and they assured to resolve the issue. I called the seller again and they assured to deliver in a day or two. When they failed to deliver even on 26th may, i again called ebay and the seller and requested them to deliver before 29th may, as my sons exams were getting over and he was coming back home from pune to nagpur. The seller assured that they will cooperate and send the phone to nagpur address. Meanwhile ebay refused to deliver the phone to nagpur on the pretext that original delivery address cannot be changed. Even after my several requests clarifying that my son will not be available in pune after 29th may, the said phone was deliberately delivered at the pune address to my sons friend. However since i had to report any fault in product to ebay within 10 days, i had to send a person from nagpur to pune and incur an expenditure of rs 4000/- to get the phone to nagpur, just for ebays fault of not delivering the product on time and their refusal to send the delivery to nagpur. However this was the start of my sufferings, the phone was faulty and on filing a complain with ebay, i was assured by seller and ebay that they will exchange the phone. Their immediate agreement to exchange ensured that they already knew of the faulty phone and they had shipped me the faulty product deliberately. The seller assured me that they will replace the product (Which they normally do not do) with a new one, if i remove the negative rating. All this while i was talking to one ms. Almas from the selling company. I told the seller that they have to first replace the faulty phone and then i will remove the negative rating. I was told that ebay will immediately send me the replacement once i ship back the faulty phone. The phone was shipped back to chennai address of seller. This was the start of another round of torture for me. Even after receiving back the faulty phone ebay and the seller did nothing but to simply assure me that my money is safe and action is being taken and that the matter will be resolved within a couple of days. Meanwhile 45 days had passed. For next 30-35 days i had to write at least 20 mails to ebay and the seller, made number of calls to seller, but got nothing but assurances from them. After about 3 months of my paying fully to ebay for the phone and calling ebay and seller about 25+ times and writing 20+ mails and suffering mental torture and agony, i got a message from ebay and the seller that we have decided to refund your money. The seller shamefully requested me to remove the negative rating. Even after all this, i told them i will do that but they have to refund my original amount with 3 months interest, courier and transportation charges from pune to nagpur and from nagpur to chennai alongwith a compensation for the mental torture i had gone through and opportunity i lost. The seller assured me that they will pay up. By this time the phone prices had also shot up as various sales had ended by then.
Its 2nd august today and i am still to receive any concrete answers from ebay or seller.
