My mother had placed an order for a book from amazon india on 13th august, 2019, with order id:[protected]. According to their app, the package was expected on friday - 23rd august, 2019. The delivery executive from ecom express contacted my mother on sunday - 25th august saying that they were on their way to deliver the parcel.
When he arrived, he handed over the package and as i was about to pay for the package with a debit card, he said that he does not have an mpos machine and insisted that i pay cash. My elderly parents rarely keep cash in the house, that too on such short notice. He then behaved rudely towards me, and when i requested that he come with an mpos machine the next time, he did not respond and left.
Today, my mother received an email in the evening saying that her order has been cancelled after two failed attempts. There was no attempt made today by the delivery executive as i have been at home all day and nobody came to deliver the package. Both the executive, and the company found it easier to lie about it just because i could not pay cash on their failure to provide an mpos machine.
A similar incident happened with ecom express delivery executives during another weekend where they told me that they are not given the machines. They insist on getting paid in cash. I would like for my mother's product to be delivered to her and hope that amazon india and other online portals stop sending their parcels via the same.

Updated by M Jelkie This problem was not resolved. The delivery person did not even make an attempt at a delivery and sent the product back. This has been a proper waste of time.
