I have purchased a Eureka Forbes Elegant RO on 16 Dec 14 for my personal use at my home comprising self, wife and one child. The RO machine was installed on 18 Dec 14 is being fed with clean bore well water. As self and wife are working, our consumption may not exceed about 10 ltrs/day also often we move on short holidays to native. Hence the usage of the RO machine high normal to minimal. 05 Dec 15 The said RO machine became defective on 29 Nov 15. As I was struck at Chennai, I could able to return to Coimbatore on 04 Dec 15 and made the formal complaint( no[protected] on 05 Dec 15 morning requesting for earlier repair of the RO machine. No response on 05, 06 and 07 Dec 15. In a similar situation some three months back also the case was reported. After one week of multiple escalations no positive result was provided by the staff of the company. 07 Dec 15 On 07 Dec 15 evening, I had to call thrice the service department and need to escalate my service request. Then, multiple engineers close 5-10 calling me and telling me that they are coming for repair. Finally one Mr Veramani arrived at my house at about 1745 and without even checking anything or opening the machine declared that all four filters became defective and need to be replaced and I need to pay Rs 4000+. When he was reminded that the item is still on warranty, he adamantly told that, just with 10-15 days only warranty left for that machine hence he can't replace any item and it is the company policy. Also, he put a most hilarious false charge that the product warranty already lapsed in Jun 15 as per him. Then I requested him to explain as to how the product sticker showing the date of manufacture as 10/14(Oct 2014) can have a warranty even before manufacture. He was not ready to go through the receipt and installation report. When he was leaving without any efforts for repairing was requested as to why no signature or comments was not taken from customer on his service report? He replied that he need not take any signature or feedback from customer told that again it is a company policy. Later, when he was outside my house he blamed my wife as to she didn’t show the receipt. When told to go to my house and see the receipt he was not ready. All the discussions are recorded and available for cross checking. As per various dictionaries warranty means that 'a written guarantee, issued to the purchaser of an article by its manufacturer, promising to repair or replace it if necessary within a specified period of time' As a sincere Defence Services Officer, with above definition in mind called up the Eureka Forbes Helpline, told the problem. They gave the mobile number of Mr Hari Jayaprakash Area Manager of Coimbatore. Briefed him for 30 mins, my problem. He was telling that all 4 filters could be defective. The warranty for filter is for 5000ltrs or 1 year. When it was clarified to him that neither 5000 ltrs or 1 year is not completed, finally, he agreed that I am authorized to get RO machine repaired free of cost as it is in warranty period and he will try to find the means of getting it rectified. After speaking to Mr Veramani, he was asking me as to why he should repair an item which is just left with 15 days warranty and provide a free service. During his discussion, Mr Hari Jayaprakash asked few questions to Mr Veeramani over phone, like what is the status of the each filter and its blockage, data on the bill and place of purchase. Mr Veeramani was answering for all questions. The Area Manager was interested in disowning and often repeated that; if you are not satisfied please approach my higher officials. The discussion has been record and available with me. Though Mr Veeramani did not open the machine, ( This fact of not even the machine was opened was again proved by Mr Veeramani on his own words on 08 Dec 15) he was cool in telling the Area Manager that he checked all the filter and saw the receipt. If this is the condition of an armed forces officer which sufficient knowledge and exposure what will happen to an illiterate common man? Left with no choice, I again tried to escalate the case through the website of Eureka Forbes, the web site was not accepting the complaint id 84665301. Put a post on Eureka Forbes Facebook site on 07 Dec 15 night. My family was purchasing the bottled water from outside on payment. Also sent a SMS to [protected]. 08 Dec 15 On 08 Dec 15 at 1910h, I got a call from Mr Hari Jayaprakash, Area Manager that he wanted to visit my house and to check the status. He along with Mr Veeramani visited my house at 2000h and first time opened the machine and decided to service the machine. At around 2030hrs, the filter water was coming and waste water was also flowing. Now, Mr Veeramani who spoke of no need for customer signature took signature from my wife that the machine was made serviceable and left. I could reach my house only at 2100 h. On listening to the entire details from my wife rang up Mr Hari Jayaprakash as to what happened. He told that he wanted to know the exact status of the RO machine, hence he visited my house and then, he decided to service the filters as they found filters are choked with turbid and decide to do reverse flushing. On doing this it started working normal. Hence, he decided to declare it OK and RO machine made serviceable. I requested him to clarify few points and got this reply., The Area Manager Hari Jayaprakash was not sure how his engineer Mr Veeramani or his senior engineer Marimuth Palaniappan decided to declare all four filters defective even without opening the machine or touching the machine. As per the Area Manager, the visiting engineer or his senior manager is not technically capable or having expertise to repair the RO machine if it is chocked. When the facts of the technician was telling lies and he was going by that lies, he coolly brushed off as Mr Veeramani is a technician and need to consider them. (Funny thing is that the Service engineer became a technician) The audio recording of this part is available for reference.(enclosed) 09 Dec 15 My wife informed me that the machine became defective. As I was out of station on official duty to Thanjavur, I could not make any complaint. Called Mr Hari Jayaprakash at 2015h twice. But he didn’t pickup my call. 11 Dec 15 Returned back to Coimbatore, Called and informed again Mr Hari Jayaprakash about the defective status of the RO machine. Now he confirmed that the repair done on 08 Dec 15 was a temporary. It was done just to satisfy the warranty condition and is not a complete repair. Mr Hari Jayaprakash, again and again referred about the 5000 ltr or one year. Mr Hari Jayaprakash called me himself was stressing that 5000 ltrs and 1 year issue again and also told that the filter get defective as per the input water. When told to certify that incoming water is very hard or impure, he didn’t have any answer and himself accepted that the bore-well water is not impure. He was ready to make the RO machine somehow to working condition. But clearly stated the out coming water status cannot be assured by him. He further stated that, normally no attempt is made to service the machine. Only if the case is escalated to Chennai then only they touch even the machine or they do repairs. Made a complaint to customer care no [protected]. Conclusions I derived out One side the Area Manager was accepting that the warranty is for 365 days and the company is supposed to provide free service to get the clean water. Another side telling that the filter need to be replaced within one year or 5000 ltrs. When asked where it specified in warranty card about 5000ltr, he could not justify and accept that he will provide free service and make the RO machine to work. Even the service was provided, he was clear that he cannot assure for the efficient water and repairs are temporary. He was accepting very clearly he need to provide free service for the warranty period but was telling that the service may not be complete. (Audio recording is available for reference). When I referred back to the user manual/warranty card. In the maintenance page it is specified that the periodicity of replacement of filters is 1 year or 6000 ltrs (R) 6000 LTRS If the filter which is the core and major components of a RO machine become defective in full(all 4) before the said period, is the company not responsible for its replacement? Even an early warning was provided before three months the handling of the staff was highly irresponsible and poor. From the facts, the staff of the company speak lot of lies and ready to take meaningless justifications in charging the customer. If required they call themselves technically incapable/less expert. In such a condition, Is not dangerous to have such products in market considering the hygiene conditions and safety of the family members Given the fact that, the machine was less used, an acceptable standard bore-well water was used as input, neatly maintained, the reason for not providing the warranty and giving excuses and terms and conditions not specified in warranty card or manual is not understood. I request that, a proper enquiry may be carried out and I may please be provided solution. Such companies are a negative examples of our county and obstacles to our development in global scenario. I have enclosed only one audio recording. If required ready to provide all the discussions. The cost of the RO machine is Rs 7254 on 16 Dec 14. For making it serviceable during warranty period, they want to charge the customer Rs 4000+. How this is justified? When requested to clarify, no answer is available. Kindly advise

    Wish I could had read this blog before spending money on Eureka Forbes. My complaint number is [protected] and my water purifier stopped working within 2weeks of purchase .. Now I am just calling and complaining and receiving no help from Eureka Forbes .. Worst experience ever

      I am having maintenance contract for Riviva RO. during second service out of four cylinder 3 have been changed and one carbon refill is not changed. for this i have complained and send message to service manager at surat. But they are not responding to my complain. If they do not respond to my complain only option available is to serve legal notice from consumer court.         I have ordered Forbes trendy Nano Vacuum cleaner on 12th Nov. Mu customer ID id [protected] and my registered Phoen no. is [protected]. product was Delivered to me on 20th November. Whwn Unboxed, a wheel was found broken. I made online compliant for replacement on 23rd Nov.I am following up since then with call center but no action. Each time new promise date is committed. I have not been able to use the product till now and it is lying waiting for getting inspected and replaced. Free gift (Personal water purifier bottle) which was part of the deal and reflects in invoice is also not delivered.

        One more false promise. No communication so far from any of your team. This is getting worse to worst day by day. Please don't check the patience of your consumers. The company is losing it's reputation rapidly due to such complains. Tell me your definatioon of "at the earliest". I am going to retun my product of I don't get a reply by this evening.

          I have a Aquaguard (Inova) and my customer no is [protected]. As I am a working woman, I paid for 3 years AMC which was from 30th April 2012 to 29th April 2015. AMC was paid for to ensure that they attend to it every 6 months even if I am busy with work. Once a year the candles were also supposed to be changed with the AMC amount paid. I received only 4 service calls so far in the three year period instead of 6. Similarly candles were changed only twice and not 3 times. The last service call was on 6th Sep 2014. They never called or came home in 2015 and when I called up now for service, I was told that I have to pay. Why did you take AMC and not attend to the service? When I have not received the service for the last year, you should either return the amount paid or give me two free service - one with candles change. If I do not hear from you at the earliest, I will certainly complaint that your AMC is not worth taking and that it is a scam to collect the amount and not get services.

          Further to your mail, I did receive an SMS from your customer care mentioning that my request no is [protected] on 14th Dec. Atleast 4 times the lady from customer care called me thereafter to check whether the service had been done and every time I replied that no one came from their team to attend to the service.

          Today, a few min back, I got a call from Mr Anbu (mobile no [protected]) who mentioned that they would have changed candle at the time of taking the AMC itself (he does not have a proof of it). He mentioned that I am just asking for a free service with the records taken from the service card and he also accused me saying that I must be doing it with several companies like yours. He told me that he is recording the conversation and hence you can check the record if he has done it and what he spoke. When a company like you cannot keep records for 4 years (you are supposed to keep for a minimum of 10 years if I am correct), how do you expect an individual to keep track of all bills and AMCs paid 3 years ago?

          Not only your service team does not do the follow up with AMCs paid, their attitude towards customers is also not kind. While we have no complaints on the product (Aquaguard), the service is really a worrying factor.

          I have no intention to take any free service from any one but I do not want to be taken for a ride on your AMC racket. Let them show a proof that they have changed the candles thrice in the three year period - I am ready to pay for the service now I am asking. But strictly no more AMC with your firm any more. It is not worth it.

              I purchased Aquaguard Magna from Snapdeal and raised a request for installation on 06/12/15. They informed that the technician will contact me within 24 hrs. Since there was no response i followed up thrice so far and am getting the same response each time. There is no way to talk to anyone like a supervisor or manager as well. Very disappointed with this kind of service and I regret to have purchased from Eureka Forbes. The commitment they show while selling their products isn't shown after sales.

                I purchase a aqua flow compact water purifier make Eureka Forbes, within the period of free services they provide only two services and after then a three year service agreement was done on march 2015 to Feb 2018 but 9 month have to gone, I have not receive a single service. In the year 2009 a three year service agreement was done but in that period i do not avail a single service in this period the appliance is damage after completion of agreement they visit us for new agreement and they suggest me to exchange the machine with new one and they provide me one year extra services and i agree but now the same problem arise so there for request to kindly look into the matter take a legal action against them. all documents regarding this matter i have to produce for proof

                  Hello, Last year around this time I faced a major issues with the aquaguard service and I ended up writing the below mail to you. After a painful month, somebody came and attended to my complaint. They also suggested to me to buy an AMC as it is more convenient. I, like a fool bought a 3 year AMC. One year later, I am facing the exact same problem with your service. I had lodged a complaint on 5th of Dec[protected] to replace the filter which is FREE as part of the AMC. Till now, nobody has even bothered to call me. I have done multiple follow ups with the call center folks and with the guys who sold me AMC. NO RESPONSE. Every time they tell they will check with the back end team and respond. Yesterday, when I called, your call center representative (Sri Lakshmi) had the audacity to cut my call. I called again. This time your call center guy tells me that "I can go ahead and lodge a case in consumer court". I have recorded this statement and will now act as per your wish. I have 3 aquagaurds and have decided to throw all the 3 of them. I have never ever had this kind of experience even with any other product. I will post the consumer complaint details in the social media so that people refrain from buying your product. You after sales service is worst of the lot.                     Actually my period of amc was over by october 2015 ur service people called continuously to renew disturbing us so renewed it for two yrs they came and changed the filter but wen they went i noticed a peep sound and i called them immediately to come and attend this happened in nov 5th they didnt come as it was raining after deepavli i called them again they said they would come but no. finally the unit stopped completely by november 20 i had called numerous time but they didnt come totally frustated two days back i shouted at them they came and told that th board has damaged it would take time and we cant say wen u would get it since they have to get from chennai . advising me to get gan water i think they r saying a lie since v shouted . vry poor service in neyveli they come only to change filter if v complaint no proper response this is their fault i they had attended at my call the board would not hav failed. we hav a doubt if their is really a problem in board . kindly do the needful soon else pay back our amt .

                      Worst services service center person called me told that they are coming today but they didnt even recieved my called I tired for 15 to 20 Times but they didnt received my call... I have amc for my machine they even dont inform and come for service. ...if not available they didnt come again..worst service... Even thought market leader but not good in service. .I advice go for kent rather than eureka. ..

                        Dear Sir It was my pleasure when i bought your Green R.O and was very happy to be associated with you .As the time passed the experience of being associated with you gone from bad to worse.But some how again you corrected your self and kicked out the persons or franchise(Franchise Agencies) responsible for dimnishing your image, I again got sigh of releif that atlast organisation woke up from deep sleep.I was happy as u have taken some corrective measures and by the time i am feeling of your image makeover, again i have been proved wrong. Hi This is Jitin Sharma #302-A, Central Town, Near Basant City, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.Pin Code 142022.I bought your Green RO few years back and i am also purchasing your Annual Maintainence Contract(AMC) every year or renewing the same as my contract receipt number is 24845657 dated 04-05-15 and my customer code is [protected].I was feeling pitty on your part that being a leader or pioneer in Water purification still you does not care about your end customer. I am using these words because i feel i was the worst sufferer at Eureka Forbes. Sir i bought my AMC from M/S Randhawa, Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar, Ludhiana this year on 4th may.I registered my service request through sms on [protected] on 22-11-15 and from that day to till date it has not been addressed properly till date.Only Eye wash was done. Can i Know from you How to get the service from the said franchise or from you at Eureka Forbes? How should i Know the spare parts are available at your franchise? beacuse we are at mercy of your franchise. What are the system and process your franchise follow while providing service to customer? If you have outsourced you service part to Franchises in Pan India then where is their accountability towards consumer? Is it my responsibilities to call your people at franchise to provide service after lodging the complaint at every alternate day? If so then also i done the same and called your people again and again lodged the complaint on 3-12-15. What would a customer do if your concerned person at franchise not picking the phone or avoiding the complianent customer? As the same thing had happened today I talked to Mr Tejinder in morning and when i called for followup he had not picked the phone([protected]) as tried the number at least five to six times and same was shared to me by Mr Naresh who is attached to farnchise. How you at Head Office(Eureka Forbes) close the customer after recieving the service request through sms. I am waiting for your positive reply as i am deeply heart since the RO was not repaired till date after fifteen days of complaint. Today also the spare part(adaptor) was available at franchise but due to Mr Tejinder at M/S Randhawa it was not replaced.                           I purchased an Aquaguard Classic UV through their salesman, Shiva ([protected]). After the system was installed, I felt a bad taste in the water. I waited for a few days to see if it subsides. But it only increased. When I called the salesman, he said that he will send someone from the service. After that there was no information. When I tried calling up the service team, they informed me that my number is not registered. I have also not received the invoice that they said would be mailed to me. Now the salesman is also not answering any calls. Is there some fraud going on?

                            Absolutely worthless & useless service by these people. 99% of them don't understand English [Won't even know the spelling of Eureka forbes!!!] The rest 1 % don't understand what is happening. Standard response is your address is "... and we are sorry for the inconvenience". I do not need to hear my address over and over again!!! And I very well know you are not sorry. Useless bunch of most inefficient and incompetent people wasting other peoples' time and money. Am still waiting for those guys to come & install the aquaguard.

So, I have called their Customer care and registered a service request . They have promised me to install within 2 days..but again nobody turned up.                                 It is to bring to your notice that Deepasree(Residing in US of Indian Origin) purchased an Aquaguard Magna RO+ UV+ UF Controller for my parents(registered mobile number: 9600xxxxx61) before 1 year. The purchase was made from a sales person Mr. Rajesh(Chennai), who was sent from Eurekaforbes in response to my interest shown online. He has given so many compliments for the product by giving fake promises. But now within a year the tap has been broken and the water is not getting filled into the tank. The service person told me that this is a failure product for which we dont have any spare parts we can use only duplicate parts and this product is not good. I dont want to continue with this product. I need a good model in eurekha or my amount back. People believe sales executive and the company reputation to buy a product. But only for getting bonus amount people sell failure models. My parents are trying to contact customer support for past 15 days and there is no proper response from them. I purchased a product and it is creating a metal harassment for my parents

                                  This is regarding a complaint number [protected]. The machine was not working properly. Output of water was very slow. It took 4-5 hours to fill up 7 liters of water. The serviceman force fully beating up the filters and making the machine work. The machine was making more sound than before. I told him to fix it but he said that the sound would stop after 2-3 days. The sound is still coming and now my machine has started LEAKING. The problem with this company is when I took paid services which costs around 250rs each, all that the service man would do, is to REPLACE and add to my bill. Now when I have taken an AMC, all they are doing is REPAIRING. This is a DISHONEST policy. The company should learn that its not appropriate to treat its consumers like this, because eventually it would lead nothing but loss. Another thing is that, when I purchased this product 3 years ago, it came with three free services. NOT A SINGLE free service was given to me. I asked the company officials about it and they said that I have been given those services. I asked if they had my signed receipts. They did not respond and ignored. I have tolerated this as I was hoping that some day the service would get better. But it has not. I would never recommend EUREKA FORBES PRODUCT to anyone.
