Sales Order no. 001041 Complaint No. MJ1964 I purchased 3+1 mason sofa (along with recliner). The product was delivered delayed than committed, however post usage for some 3 seater Sofa gave problem with cuisine so logged complaint on November 4 2014 4PM over the mail as well with customer care since then(more than month old), still its not even picked up for service / repair, inspite follow-up with service executive Mr. Ganesh Naik([protected]) and emails to support, I have not got any response from customer care, Ganesh keeps on telling, it will be done in day or two since November 6 and the problem he states is warehouse guys are busy. As a consumer I have to follow it up with EVOK on daily basis(2-3 times daily), no body bothers to call me back and update me with status. Today I am planning to send final mail to customer care for refund, as its no point in dealing with these guys, who doesn't have value for customer Its really frustrating and fording me and my friends to refrain from buying anything from EVOK. - Praveen [protected]

They did service after many follow-ups, however within the month the same problem re-occurred and its been almost 20 days since the problem is reported and till now I have not got the service or request is not done.

This is very much disappointing that such a costly product from Evok will be such a poor condition as soon as within one year? Is this something you do planned?

We need justice to the hard earned money we have given you to purchase this Sofa set. Even after continued visits to Evok store and phone calls to store manager, sales, customer support, we have not got any response to rectify this. We need a solution to this problem by getting the Sofa set replaced.

Please understand that, we feel very bad to have this sofa set in such an ugly state right in front hall. This must be escalated in legal manner as per the rules
Mason Sofa from Evok is a very low quality sofa with very high price. I bought 3+2+1 for 1 lac about 2 years ago and its leatherite came out and become unusable. I logged complain with Evok and offered post warranty service are even more expensive. I also bought diamond bed for rs 60k from them and it got termite in less than two year.

Do n't buy mason sofa and diamond bed from Evok.

    Order number: 1024/14-15/000532 date: 17th Sep 2014 for a Rivera Queen bed with storage for INR 85, 990. Cot was delivered on 29th Sep and Evok service persona opened the boxes to assemble the cot and pointed out:1. the leg rest could not be assembled and after 30 min of struggle and when he finally assembled it should one inch above ground. 2. Right side of the cot had long cracks in three places. Left side had one long crack Evok personal pointed out these defects and promised to get a replacement. He took photos of the cot. I immediately reached out to the sales person Raju and discussed the issue. He asked me to send pictures in Whatsapp that i sent and saved the message and image. Upon receipt of the photo he called up and assured a replacement. As there were no action for a week i called up and found Raju no more worked for the company. I contacted Kiran, regional manager and he sent couple of service person to investigate. Team concluded the product isdefective and promised to get a replacement and took pictures of the cot. Kiran promised to send a brand new cot as replacement. For many weeks numerous calls to Kiran and Ganesh, sr service personal only fetched false promises but not met. Finally Kiran sent a replacement cot on 1st of Nov. On seeing the cot was not in original package but just wrapped in paper and polythene sheet, i asked Anil who accompanied and he assured it is a brad new cot opened just for inspection. Not convinced, i called Kiran and he confirmed it is not brand new but a display piece. He was rude saying questioning what is wrong if they delivered a display cot and asked his people to install this cot in its place. When Anil disassembled the first cot he could not remove theleg rest and struggled for 30 min. After much of twisting and pulling he figured out that the cot is not on nut and bolt that is defective. He explained to me that the bolt does not have thread so the previous person has driven anail to keep the leg rest in place, making it stand an inch above ground. Kiranasked his person to go ahead installing the replacement cot. When they opened the replacement cot for installation, it was broken. I sent picture of the broken cot to Kiran and his person also talked to him. Subsequently Kiran apologized and promised me to send a brand new cot in 7 – 10 days time as replacement. I requested him to send a confirmation mai lsaying a brand new cot will be sent as the replacement. He agreed. After some follow up, he sent a mail confirmation saying the replacement cot will be sent.However, they interchanged the leg rest . I waited for 10 days and called Kiran and he said there isno stock and the cot will be delivered on 17th Nov. Though he didnot entertain calls in between, on 17th he sent a SMS message saying the cot will arrive in the store this evening and the same will be delivered on18th. However, Ganesh, the carpenter called up in the evening saying there is no cot available. I called up Kiran to understand the disconnect.After many calls, he finally attended my call in the night and informed me that a replacement will not be given. I am shocked. How could a company like Evok, a subsidiary of Hindware sell a defective product and refuse to replace the defective part.Over and above, the entire chain of customer service tell lies and give false promises. In the meantime, I had registered a complaint with Evok customercare (MJ 835). I called many times. Every time I was told the computer is not working and a service person will contact me. It never happened. I have saved all the WhatsApp conversations, recorded few telephonic conversations and saved pictures as proof. I am asking them to take back the cot that I have not used and refund my money. There is no response. I would greatly appreciate any help in getting justice.

      Hi Evok Care Team, I am escalating the matter. It has been too long time since I raised my concern about damaged parts in the Venice king bed (Sales Order No. 1014SO/14-15/000471 dated 28/9/2014) delivered to me but no action has been taken to replace those damaged parts. There has already been 2 inspection done by Evok team but every time the person who visits my home takes some snaps and goes back to disappearance. Last week I got a call from a person who introduced himself as Evok carpenter/polisher and told me that he will visit my home on Saturday to repair the damaged part but he too never turned up after that call. I want to understand, how many visit Evok needs to confirm the damage in the bed. I had already informed the installation team about the damage on the very first day during installation and I as well as they took snaps of all the visible damages in the new bed? I had also sent you those snaps. I also want to understand, why the carpenter/polisher was being sent to my home for repair work when I was given the damaged piece right from the beginning? I demand for the replacement of the damaged piece, not its repair. Such kind of lagging behaviour from Evok team is certainly denting its brand image. Please look in to the matter with due priority and arrange for the replacement ASAP. Thanks, Ravi Prakash

        I bought a french oak King bed on the 18th January 2014 along with a mirror from HomeStop McGrath road Bangalore. In August I discovered that one of the runners of the cot were broken - this put a question mark about product quality. So on the 29th of August I called homestop and talked to the EVOK person and raised a complaint. The next day some one from the service team cam looked at the bed took snaps and promised to get back in a few days to replace the runner. Nothing happened till the 9th of September so I called back the service guy who came to click photos. He said he didnt know and asked me to call his boss Arun. So I called him immediately - he told me he had left his job and couldnt do much!!! He gave me Ratish's number - but unfortunately he was in hospital and he gave me Kiran's number who is the Bangalore in charge for Evok. He promised to sort put the problem and also update me on the status of the complaint. Nothing happened no update no calls NOTHING. So on 16th I called Kiran twice. Both times he refused to take my call. Nothing happened till 21st September NOTHING. So I call Ratish - he is still on medical leave and he asks me to call Kiran. I call him twice and as usual he doesn't take my call. I message him to telling him I will escalate this to Atul Seth the COO of Hindware. Few minutes later he calls back. He has no clue about why I am calling or about my complaint. After stimulating his memory and hearing his lecture about how to have a "polite conversation" he remembers my call and complaint. He says he has passed it to the service team. More gyan from him with absolutely no help. He doesn't share his supervisors number and just acts smart. No remorse or apology for having sat on the complaint. I hang up - no point talking to arrogant people who care two hoots about customer service. In between he tells me that he gets many calls and he hasn't stored my number. He Doesn't call back because of this and that I should have messaged him last time around. He calls later and says the problem will be rectified and when I tell him I want to escalate this - he says he is doing his 'Duty' and cant do much more!!! Tired of these people- They dont have a system to keep track of complaints. No one in the team has a clue about the status of the complaint. To top it they feel they are doing a favor hearing to our conversation - rudeness comes free.

          This is with immense pain and agony that I am writing this email. I purchased Mason sofa 3+2+1 on January 19th, 2013. Please find the commodity details below:invoice number: 2013RI/12-13/00472Date: January 19, 2013Customer Name: Smaran ThomasCommodity code number: IT00025257Commodity item: Mason sofa 3+2+1 seaterPrice: 71, 928.00 INRfrom the store Evok Mega Homestore, Kochi on the above said date. The item was delivered within 5-7 days and this was to our new renovated home. Even before the completion of one year, the leather material on the sofa was getting peeled off automatically and was forming cracks all over. The cloth like material at the bottom of the sofa came out withered automatically. We had complained several times at the store and did not get any proper response. As usual, becoz of the lack of time in hand, by the time we went to store wit our complaint, it seems it was one month past our warranty period, which is one year. and it seems, nothing can be done.This is very much disappointing that such a costly product from Evok will be such a poor condition as soon as within one year? Is this something you do planned?We need justice to the hard earned money we have given you to purchase this Sofa set.           As a special case, we offer you the waive off the labor cost involved in
          the services o[censored]pholstery replacement of the sofa. Kindly note, only
          the upholstery and logistics cost to be borne by you. May we request you

          There is no point in addressing this issue by a paid service done by us. This is injustice. This is very much disappointing that such a costly product from Evok will be such a poor condition as soon as within one year? Please clarify, on a sofa like Mason ( I presume you know the product and its design), when you say 'warranty against manufacturing defect', and the upholstery is not covered, what else is covered? What else is visible or is prominent in a Mason sofa? The sofa material started withering as early as an year after purchase

            I wanted to purchase a complete bedroom + living room set for my new place. I had my heart set on EVOK AMAZON King Bed set and was confirmed on the spot by Mr. Biju (+[protected] that it is made of "Acacia" wood. For those new in the furniture world "Acacia" is more durable than Sheesham, Mangowood etc. and it is also more costly. Before purchasing I did some research and came to this website. Further, I called up 3 different EVOK MEGA HOMESTORE and ALL of them confirmed that AMAZON is made of Sheesham (and NOT Acacia). I confronted Mr. Biju & his supervisor with information. They stuck to their original statement and the supervisor began to misbehave. So, coupled with the service issues on this forum & the tendency of the sales personnel to hoodwink and con people, I dropped the idea of purchasing from EVOK. Hope this info is useful to other unsuspecting buyers.

              I am really disgusted with Evok customer care. They call themselves a brad but even a local vendor provides a better service than them. First - I do not even think they have something called as customer care. They just have 1 person whose name is 'Ravi' ansering all the phone calls. Otherwise what is the probablity you get to speak to the same person every time you called (and I called at least 10 times). At times I have been on line for 45 mins waiting to speak to the representative and finally had to disconnect coz obviously I don't have whole day for this. I logged a complaint 2 weeks back, spoke to Mr. Ravi at least 5-6 times, he escalated the issue to his senior Mr. Moolchand. He promised with full confidence that the issue will be resolved the same day. Once again - nothing happened. He also provided me with a phone number and contact detail for the NCR head - Mr. Uday. With confidence he mentioned - 'don't think you'd need to call since we'd have resolved the issue by today but you can still have the number, just in case'. Nothing happened and the next day with frustration I decided to call this Mr. Uday. To add to my frustration - his phone was switched off. I tried whole day and it never was on. Here I am today after 2 weeks and 100 calls - issue still exists and no one seems to care. I will never ever go back to store again and buy any furniture. I also want to warn people out there - be careful if you are purchasing anything from them. They will give you big words such as 'warranty' and 'prompt customer care' - but this is all a fraud. If at all the customer care service really exists - I would suggest they close it off as they are wasting their money on people who do not care to work. They will at least be able to make some profit firing all these 'USELESS' employees. At the moment I do feel like going to police and filing a complaint of harassment and waste of my time!!!

                I have purchased a 3+2+1 leather evok sofaset from bangalore homestop on feb 2013. After one year the skin of sofa has started shedding. The sofa set cost around 80, 000. Now its in horrible condition. After so many complaint the evok pepole are not responding. It is a pure waste of money.

                  I have purchased a Della dining set(Sheesham wood) from your Shipra Mall Ghaziabad store on 29th March 2013. Recently I have seen that after polish came out I could see a big crack in one leg of the table. I could see now that the leg was broken and it was filled with wood powder and fevicol.

                  This is not acceptable. These people have given me faulty table by putting wood powder and polish to look it clean. After spending more than Rs 55000 on Dining set I got a third class product from EVOK.

                  I like to have replacement of this faulty leg. I also I can see cracks now visible in few of the chairs as well

                  I have asked for no. of seniors so that I can talk/write to them for this third grade product delivery but could not get any response from EVOKCARE

                  Looking for immediate action on this complaint .

                    We would like to inform you that by looking at Evok Brand reputation, We have bought a Dining Table, Item Code IT[protected] Greece Dining Set 1 + 6 ) from your Evok Outlet at Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad ( Store ID - 2008) on 21.02.2014 ( Sales Order No. 1015SO / 13-14 / 0000617. We are very disappointed to know about the quality of the Product. This is totally shocking that How a reputed Brand like you can deliver such a pathetic quality. Some of the Highlights for your quality are Very Poor Finishing of Chairs & Table, Their are marks / scratches which are just covered by Polish. In Table, Two Legs have cracks The Side Strip ( Used to Fix Frame & Top ) of Table, Got cracks while fitting. We don't know what will happen in future to this. One Chair is uneven, having imbalance on floor Ply on the Cushion of Chair got Crack, just on 3rd day, just by sitting on chair. We have informed to your staff and they are saying that we are doing some thing, but nothing concrete till now. You would agree that Dining Table is a Durable Items and having a big investment of Rs. 40, 000, everyone expects that It should last for years. If we have such a poor quality just after a week of purchase, how can we be assured that It will last for years. We don't have any Trust on Quality of this Product and even any Product of Evok, So we would like to return this and want our money back. Best Regards Atul jain

                      I ordered modular kitchen at their Gurgaon store. Initially when they asked for the payment they promised me a date which I told them is important to keep as I have other plans based on that. I got a date from them only. I had to follow them up for every little step. Theor attitude after receiving the payment was very passive. I had to call them up for every little thing. Hiccups started in a week when they told that what laminate finish I had booked (of course they had confirmed the availability of that at the time of booking) is not available and I shuld come to theor store to chise another one. To avoid any delay, I immediately went and confirmed them another option. They further confirmed the date of delivery at 12th Dec. It has been numerous conversations since the date, but I am still to receive the delivery of the kitchen. Professionalism can be guessed that one of the marketing / sales guy stopped responding to calls. Another one who responded himself had no clue on what is going to happen when. Starengely when I talked to th store manager, he himself couldn't do much except for nice talks and committments which has not been kept till date. Every day as a routine, I have to call them up to see what is being done and I am worried as I have paid the full amount as per their so called policy. Due to the delay, I had to cacel my planned vacation with my family as I am stuck at Gurgaon waiting for something to happen even after paying more than hundreds of thousand rupees to them. I think they are aware that the consumers have very little legal rights in such situation in India and that is why they know they can get away with that. I will never refer or recommend anyone to buy anything from Evok Homestore.                         This is about the overall abysmal, fraudulent and unprofessional behavior by Evok, Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore during the sale ans support of dining table bought by me on 8 September. Please provide me contact for a laywer so that i can pursue legal action and claim damages. Order Date - 08/09/2013 Expected Delivery Date -18/09/2013 Actual Delivered Date - 01/10/2013 I received a call from EVOK saying delivery will be delayed as the piece in warehouse is faulty. After 13 days of delay, and repeated follow ups, the piece was delivered and the finishing was poor. Customer complaint was logged. And no further response. After another set of follow ups with Arjun and Rajesh, a new table was promised to be delivered on 31st October. And the piece was not delivered and lame reasons/excuses were given by Rajesh. Finally on November 4th(Today) new dining table was received which has a crack. Photos attached. The store guy Arjun and Rajesh - Both of them are not aligned and asks to call each other. It was boasted that the so called 'Nakshatra Dining Table' is the hot selling and no complaints are received so far. I don't care about it. The piece I received is not proper. And I'm not satisfied. Rajesh has challenged me to go to consumer court. As a first step, I'm posting this complaint here. The most irresponsible of the lot has been Kiran. Apparently he's the store manager and he's never there to be reached by any means.

                          I have ordered the kitchen from Evok which was promised to be delivered on 03rd Oct but the same was delivered on 02nd Oct itself. The ordeal started next as the complete kitchen was not delivered along with the Microwave. It more than a month today but my kitchen is still uncomplete and the worst part is that noone picks up the phone and there is no assurance when my kitchen would be complete, after paying INR 2, 20, 000 this is the worst service one can except. The person in the store Kanika, the supervisor Ghanshyam and the Sunil and the most unresponsive person they have comitted several dates but all their [promises have falledn flat. I urge the senior management to urgently look into the matter and find a solution and none of the staff are attending my calls and my kitchen is in complete disarray for the last one month.                             I am Ashu Singhal and i purchased a KITCHEN from Evok on 3rd May . The work done by them is pathetic and they are delaying in completing the defaults . Their are many defaults in the design, wood work done by the company and the service is unacceptable, they neither attend our calls nor complaints and they are not ready to solve our problems from last 2 months . Their is no finishing in their work .

                              Hi , I am Dr.Binu Mathew from Alleppy, Kerala. I am writing this with so much distress after I purchased a sofa set from Evoke showroom at Edapally in Eranakulam for my newly built home. I paid almost Rs.80000/- for the sofa set. After 6 or 7 months it started showing mild cracks on the material. And slowly it increased .I tried to contact the sales Representative who sold me but he had left the job. After few months the condition of the sofa set become so pathetic that I had to cover it when the visitors come. (Attached picture) Now all three sofas are in the same condition. I contacted the shop and they said it is one year has passed and their warranty is over. I have to find my own means to repair it. I have to ask the company whether they are making these things to last only one year? Don't you think when all material in all three pieces cracked open and tearing off, there is some problem with the material? I am in so much of distress after spending so much money believing this company, I had to hide the sofa from visitors as every now and then a new crack is appearing on the material. Hope someone saves me from this distress

                                I am Vinay Mohan Singh. I had ordered for following 03 nos items at Evok, Shipramall, Indirapuram(UP) vide sales order no.1004SO/11-12/000628dtd 03.10.2011. 01)Joop KING Bed-01no. Rs.28,000.00 02)Joop Dressing mirrors-01 no. Rs.17,500.00 03)Elegant Dinning Set-01no. Rs.38,990.00 During booking of the above items, I asked the sales executive not to deliver the same till I confirm the dimensions of Dining set. But all the above 03 items were delivered by Evok. As discussed over phone with the sales executive at Evok, I had not received the dining table set and returned back the sealed packed dining set through the same vehicle in which above 03 items were delivered. Since, I had apprised the matter over phone to Evok Shipra mall and they assured me that any other item can also be purchased in lieu of the same, I visited evok store very next day and asked to give any other dining table of equal amount in place of the dining set. They told that credit note will be issued shortly then it can be purchased. I was waiting for issue of credit note. Mean while I visited the store 3-4 times but it was not issued. I was thinking It might take some more time so I was waiting patiently. After 03 months, sales executive Evok told that they can not do in this matter & you have to talk with our senior officer or HO. I talked with Stores Manager he also assured me for issuing of credit note or refund . Now he has been transferred from Evok Shipra Mall. I had also lodge complaint at customer care vide complaint no. 59568. In the month of April'14, Ms Pratima, Evok intimated that the case will take 10 days time to resolve vide mail dated 30.04.2013. Since then, i have visited so many times to Evok stores, Shipra Mall, contacted customer care and send nos. of e- mails. Customer care is telling every time that your case is under approval and will be resolved shortly. But so for issue has not been resolved. I am very frustrated now as considerable time has been passed but niether credit note has been issued nor money has been refunded. How such a big renowned company “Hindware “ can harass their customer for such a long time. So far I could not buy furniture as I am waiting for issue of credit note based on their assurance. If furniture can not be given, please refund my money immediately. Kindly help me in getting dining set OR credit note or refund me Rs.38,990.00.                                   I was looking for modular kitchen solution and visited Evok showroom on HRBR Layout Kalyan Nagar on 25th May 2013. I wanted a rough price quote to understand if it is something that fits in my budget. I was told that a site visit by Evok designer/carpenter is required to give me an estimate, and that would cost Rs 1000 which is refundable if I go-ahead with the work. I paid the amout thru debit card (Sales Order Number: SRV/13-14/000282).

                                  Same day I checked with one of my friend who had his Kitchen work done thru Evok, from their Kitchen size and the cost they incurred I realised that the amount would be something which would not fit into my budget. I called up my Evok contact and told them that I would not need a site visit.

                                  On June 1st 2013 I was at Evok hoping to explain my budget constraints and get the refund of advance amount I paid. I was told by Mr Kiran there that the refund in this case is not possible. I also checked with EVOK telephone customer care and the response was similar.

                                  There are refund policies these days where a customer can even return an item purchased in the specified number of days if not satisfied. Here I paid the advance amount with the intent of getting a service from Evok, which I later did not want. So, neither I have purchased an item nor I have obtained any service. Am I paying Rs1000 for visiting Evok showroom and intending to do business?!

                                  I wrote a similar mail to EVOK customer care ([protected]@hindware.co.in), a representative by name Prathima responded saying my refund check will be arranged in five business days and I would get a call from their shop. It has been more than 2 months now and she has stopped responding. I have sent few reminder mails([protected]@hindware.co.in) to their customer care but nobody responds.

                                      Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                      Having served for 35+ years in Govt, my father did gift part of his PF to my mother to make a so called Italian kitchen and with the big promises EVOK made, they got into a contract and paid a sum of 4,73,435 Rs (Four hundred and seventy three thousand four thirty five rupees) upfront. After few months of delay ( the usual reasons for delay: labor turnover) they finally made a kitchen. With the inordinate delays, my parents had to settle in for a partially completed kitchen (the microwave cupboard has no door).

                                      Now, less than a year after completion, the kitchen is falling apart. This is due to a design flaw. The hinges (they told us it is German made and charged hefty money) cant hold the weight of the door. When I lodged a complaint to give a permanent solution, they fixed up the fallen door punching another hole for an hinge and they say if any other solution is required, we have to pay extra. The defense for the design flaw is that their designer is no longer with EVOK and my mother had signed on the design sheet.

                                      First of all, We didn’t buy kitchen from the designer who ran away but from EVOK (an Hindware group company, YES we fell for their reputation in sanitary ware business).
                                      Secondly, How in the world my mother would know how much of weight a hinge can handle. She signed for the kitchen work to start.

                                      For couple of weeks I have been following up this issue and none of them are interested in solving the issue. When I call up the floor manager in EVOK, Jayanagar (Dhananjay, Ph: +91 [protected]), he says he just spoke to the regional manager (Mr Sunil +91 [protected]) and he would call me in sometime. This happened for 5 times now and I am still waiting for the call. It seems no one is accountable.

                                        I purchased F Morwen series designer wash basin along with other Queo wash basins vide sales order no. 1004so/12-13/000550 dated 31.08.2012 but water drain pipe was not supplied with this particular wash basin which fact was discovered at the time of installation. When I contacted Evok store,I was given customer care number of Hindware by the store manager Mr. Negi whereas it was duty of the seller to provide products complete and safe. However,I contacted customercare number and they told that it was not available with them. They further asked me to contact the Store. This is a different type of drain pipe not available in open market and local Evok staff, looking at its past attitude,does not seem to be of much help.
