I made deposits for supply of kitchen and wardrobes in Oct 2012 and since then have lodged 12 complaints by e-mail and a plethora of telephone calls and visits to their showroom but Evok is in different mood of non co-operation.They started supply of material in March 2013 and despite of supply of sub standard and faulty material,they are unable to supply all the material and installation of kitchen. Problem is still unsolved.In kitchen department,many of their staff members have quit. Mohit,Mr. Das, Mr.Charles have quit. In wardrobe/vanity section one lady designer has quit. Normally, this incoming and outgoing of staff does not have an adverse impact on functioning of a good organisation but I am feeling that it is not their case as I am asked to talk to every new designer/manager/supervisor for getting the work done.In the meantime,I am able to brief their supervisor/manager about my problems,he is out. In fact, the manager of the store,where I placed order for supply of material,would undertake the responsibility to ensure prompt delivery of the product,its installation and services but their store manager is happy in preparing the bill,collecting money from customers and achieving his sales targets and their customer care cell thinks it has finished its job when it provides a new number each time for making contact and it never cares to contact the customer to get the feed back after a reasonable time, whether customer has got the things resolved what to say of it getting the things corrected at its end itself. Now I leave present functioning and future of Evok in the hands of Bhagwan and proceed to elaborate my problems:- 1. Alignment of kitchen is still pending. 2.Light of Cozaro not supplied. 3.Shutters of tall unit are not of proper size and despite requests not replaced. 4.Waste disposer not supplied. 5.Other misc. shortcomings informed time to time to their managers/supervisors not corrected. This time, I would like to get the things corrected by taking action at their end and ask feed back from me rather than providing a new number to me and asking to contact that fellow.     We had chosen Evok to redo our kitchen a week back. After finalising everything from design, layout and material, we signed the contract with them and paid them the advance money. Today, after 2 days of signing the contract and finalising the price (which was not a trivial amount), your representative tells us that the material we chose for the cabinets cannot be used for a plain finish, which we had selected. He also said that the material can only be used for a grooved finish, FOR WHICH WE WILL HAVE TO PAY EXTRA.

    This is absolutely ridiculous on your part. This information should have been shared with us before we signed the contract and paid the money. On top of that, your representative refused to admit his mistake and accept any accountability for not sharing this vital information before. He is blaming the vendor (which is not our headache). And this is not after one meeting with your team. We met them at least thrice before everything was finalised. Why was this not raised during any of these meetings? Or is it that your sales team is not well informed about their product?

    This is highly unprofessional on your part and it seems that this is a way of EXTORTING money out of your clients.

    We are disappointed with the way things have shaped even before the work has started and don't think it will be a pleasing experience later, which makes us wonder whether we should continue with the order or not. While we were looking at getting the finished product before Monsoons, this miscommunication has delayed the entire project.

    Your team has wasted our valuable time so far and if you do not look into this matter, you will lose a valuable customer too.

      I bought furniture worth Rs 64000/ in the month of Jan 2013 from Evok Belandur in Bangalore.

      Around 2 months back termites issue came on that Furniture. After 30 days of continue follow up with evok customer care finally service guys picked it from my home on 26th of May by saying it will be delivered by 7 days . That ended on 2nd of June 2013. Today its 10th of June and It was Still Un-Delivered. Just Few Minutes back I got a Call from their Service Engineer, That While loading the furniture in lorry it fell down and its broken . So It can not be delievered now.

      I want to lodge a complaint for Cheating against Evok India, That they have Taken money from me and not given furntiure to me. My request is to get my money back from these Thugs/Cheats. Please help me on this how I can get my money back from these cheats.

        We ordered on EVOK store Faridabad on 17th Feb 2013, after their Designer and Sales person explained the proposed kitchen and agreed to get a new one in place of our existing one they asked for 50% advance against total of 1,40,000.00 against verbal discussion only. We were not given any terms and condition paper at that point of time and were promised to send the official contract form within 3 days. Both the person was very “sweet talkers” and we unfortunately trusted their assurances oh highly professional service. The contract form were only sent after 15 days after I went out on official tour and got it signed by my wife (It was not possible for any layman to understand what they had written in the contract, since they had list of items depicted as per their terminology and fixture numbers that only they can understand. especially when most of the important terms were written in miniscule fonts) who could check only the total amount to be paid.
        Materials were supposed to be delivered by 4 weeks (verbal assurance again).Later nearly after 6 weeks they called us to inform to pay the balance 50% even when the material was not even ready. I got surprised and shocked, that how can any agency ask for 100% payment without doing anything. Then I was told that it is as per the “terms of contract” and pointed to the line that one can only read with a magnifying glass. Even after paying the balance 50% on 30th March the materials were not delivered for next 1 week that’s too incomplete supply.
        EVOK kept the civil work intentionally out of their scope and assured us to provide all helps including ALL ARRANGEMENT, COORDINATION & SUPERVISION work with other agencies .Then came their next game, as they arranged the civil agency at the last moment in spite of our repeated reminders to call the contractor for discussion and rate fixing and literally forced us to place order on their agency and cough up exorbitantly high price for small job at the gunpoint or else they will not to coordinate/supervise the civil work.
        Finally the kitchen fixing work started on 8th and midway we came to know that they are not supplying the corner rotating racks as promised (which they only insisted to install their own item discarding our old ones which were working perfectly well), when contacted they denied everything and denied to supply the same since this is not in the “Order”. We felt totally cheated.
        The work was delayed like anything and due to extreme poor coordination, days were lost and EVOK didn’t bother to care for the extreme inconvenience caused . Their representatives do not bother to pick up the calls even when we call back to them for delay in work. Our kitchen was out of service for 16 days though they committed to finish the work by 5 days .
        At every stage EVOK gave us false assurances and wrong commitments. We had harrowing and frustrating experience with EVOK They are totally unprofessional and untrustworthy agency. We are placing this as a WARNING to all potential customers of Evok, so that no one gets cheated by them, like the way we had been. Do not agree to get anything ( like civil work, gas piping etc.) under your scope. Even if you place the order do not pay any advance till the time you get in writing what you are getting in a way that you understand clearly vis a vis what they are promising verbally and make sure that you don’t agree to 100% advance payment before the work is actually completed, otherwise you are totally at their mercy and they will surely take you for a ride.
        It took EVOK two months to complete the job after placement of order.

          This is the 2 nd time i m facing the same problem. A year back i purchased a TV cabinet from EVOK (Rajouri Garden) it was dispatched on time but was installed after 10 days while installation a glass slab was found broken and some electrical tubes were also broken which was replaced after several reminders and complaints within next 3 weeks. it was promised that next time there will be no service issue.

          Now 3 weeks back again i purchased a orion buffet from EVOK (Kirti Nagar) while istallation the same problem came in a wooden slab was found broken and when i called up the store manager he assured that the same will be replaced within next 3 days but nothing has been done yet inspite of several reminders and followups.

          It is very outrageous for the company to make fake promises and assurances.

            Modular Kitchen - EVOK Quotation SO No. 1016/SO/12-13/000837.

            Modular kitchen materials have been supplied. On inspection, it is observed that wrong shutters have been supplied. Detailed mail correspondence with EVOK Mega Store II, Bangalore have been forwarded to Ms. Pratima Gulati, Manager Customer Services, Hindware, Gurgaon. A separate mail also has been sent to Ms. Pratima. Bangalore Store does not appear to be capable of resolving the issue.

                I had bought King size Amazon bed and Amazon side table which was delivered to me.But to my surprise the finish of the bed and side table was not the same as shown in display on store and left lot to be desired.Evok had taken entire amount in advance and when i complained about the finish-i was told that they would either get the same rectified thru polish or get it replaced.It has been a week now after that and no one has bothered to come and polish or look at other alternatives including possible replacement if required.I have called store many times and i am getting caught in the red tape between service and stores.

                One of the reasons customers venture to brands like "evok" is with the belief that we pay premium for hassle free delivery and quality/service guarantee.

                But here these very attributes seems to be getting sacrificed and i am feeling short changed

                Hopefully some one can look into this and get this addressed.

                  I booked 4 items (Bed,Kids room set, wall shelf, TV unit) and made the full payment in march 2012 @ Bellandur Evoke, Bangalore store. Complete Furniture are not yet delivered, In the month of Sep 12 Bed and TV unti delivered. Sales rep (Dhananjay) and Manager Mr.Kiran nerve come on phone. Wheven I call the store the guys who picksup the phone always said they are out of store.

                  I do not need the furniture as the model and style would have been outdated by now. I want Evoke to take back the delivered furniture as installation is not yet done and pay my money back with interest.

                    I purchased a Reegan Queen Bed with storage (Sale Invoice No. 1021RI/12-13/00151 dated 26.8.2012, Item Code No. IT00026329, warranty upto 30.8.2013) and Reegan Night Stand (Item Code No. IT00026330, warranty upto 30.8.2013) for Rs. 25,516 from M/s Hindware Home Retail Pvt. Ltd. (EVOK); 2/15, WHS, Ground First, Second Floor, M. Road, Timber Market, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi-110015. I purchased the bed after getting it financed from Bajaj Financial and making a spot payment of Rs. 5803 via credit card to EVOK as the 1st installment. The bed was delivered on 30.8.2012, however, all the packets required to assemble the bed were not delivered and the head board of the bed was chipped off and damaged. A complaint, registration No. 6535, for replacement of the bed was lodged by me on 30.8.2012 on phone No.[protected]. No action was taken for this complaint stating that as the bed delivered was the last piece available. I was asked to get the bed repaired or choose another bed. I personally visited the store and met Mr Yogesh Shukla, Store Manager EVOK on 4.9.2012 and asked him to replace the bed or refund Rs. 25,516. But, he refused to do so. I sent a notice to the company on 10.9.2012, but again in vain. I then contacted Mr Kuldeep, Area Manager EVOK and on his request my wife and I visited the store again on 16.9.2012. I was told to choose another bed. I refused as the new beds were beyond my budget or I did not like them. On my request Mr Yogesh, Store Incharge, gave me in writing that I shall receive the refund cheque within 10-15 days of picking up the bed packets from my residence. It is 20.9.2012 today and no one from EVOK has come to pick up the bed packets. My family and I have suffered from immense mental and physical trauma. I have disposed off my old bed after placing this order and now I am compelled to sleep on the floor and now purchase a new bed. Please help me get the refund payment, payment of the new beds and compensation for the torture suffered by me.

                      I have ordered 5 dining chairs from EVOK, about 2 monThs back. They were suppose to deliver That chair by 30Th of May, but no one boThered to call me tell status of my chair. Then I called Them 3 times after 30 Th May, EVOK employee told me They will deliver soon but not committed any date. Then I went to EVOK store personally and I came to know, The chairs which I ordered are out of stock and EVOK is not going to order These chairs in future. This is EVOK's mistake, I would have have stick to The chair I booked but I opted for oTher chairs from EVOK only. The store (nagar road-pune) manager Mr.Jha, said They will deliver These chairs next day as They are in stock, but I asked Them to deliver on Saturday (23 June 2012). EVOK employee said They will deliver it on 23 June by 5pm. I called Them around 4.30pm and again I got shocking answer from Their employee " They are not able to manage transportation today so They will deliver it on Sunday around 5 pm", even next day I called around 4pm and again same answer. On 27June, evok person called me and said They are delivering it today and again same Thing They did not delivered it. This is just disgusting experience from EVOK, such a WORST store. I want penalty from EVOK for delay and mental pain which caused in all This process. Still I am waiting for delivery of my dinning chairs.

                        Dear Customers,
                        I have bought furnitures from EVOK , Bellandur Store, Bangalore in month of Dec 2011
                        for around 1.23 Lakhs. EVOK representative told me that they have a tie up with HDFC bank credit card and i can go for
                        12 EMI options which are interest free as well no processing charges. I double checked with them and they assure me that
                        there are no processing charges. So effectively i will be paying 1.23 lakhs in 12 EMI without paying anything which was
                        a goo deal for me. But On the first month my card statement there were around 14000 charges as the processing fee.
                        I immediately put it across the EVOK bellandur store people and they said that has happened by mistake and they will
                        immediately get the money reverted. 1 month got over and the money was not reverted.
                        So i kept follwing for three months every weekends and they keep telling bank is
                        taking time and they will get it done soon. Then they gave me HDFC bank person name Anand number and now this guy kept
                        telling me that this will be credited tomorrow or day after and like that. Then finally one day he said we won't be
                        able to revert please follow with EVOK. Then i again started following with EVOK and they keep giving me dated for 2
                        days of 3 days and like that 6 months have passed where i kept fighting for my own money. Now they are telling me
                        to contact Delhi office and i have done that also but these people kept on fooling. Now they are saying cheque is ready
                        but CEO has to sign and it is kept on hold. And over and above the executive over there cut your phone if you call them.
                        Please help me out in finding the way how can i my money back. Over and above that i want to penalised
                        these guys for the mental torture that they have given. I think i should
                        not settle only with the money that they have to give but also they should be taught some lessons since they take
                        customer as weak people who cannot do anything. I am really fed up with them and i want them to be dragged to the court.

                          Hi

                          This is to bring to your notice that I had bought a Nakshatra New King Size Bed with Str from EVOK store in Bellandur, Bangalore.

                          While we were at the shop salesman said that the beds were 72*78 in size for a king size bed. We had specified repeatedly that we require a 72*78 size bed. We placed the order and paid the money.

                          When the delivery happened and installation was complete. The bed size turned out to be 71*79 instead of the promised 72*78. When we went to the store, they acknowledged that it was their mistake and we will get a refund. We spoke to Mr Kiran also who is the store in-charge and he is aware about all the details.

                          Mr Kiran assured us that we will receive the refund cheque in few days and kept us on wait for over a week. When we asked him again, he said that cheque has been dispatched. On the basis of assurance, we have already taken a bed from some other shop. When we called him again after few days, he said that HO has refused to give us the refund and we can only be given a credit note which doesn’t matter to us now as we have already purchased a bed based on his statement.

                          We wanted a case request which would have been filed with HO for refund but he said there is none.

                          Now he is forcing us to take the credit note which does not make any sense to us.

                            Hi I am Shubh and I dwell in HSR layout Bangalore. I bought a leather sofa for 54,000 (at 60% discount of MRP 1,34,000) on 31st March 2012 from Evok Bellandur Store. The executive attending the call was Tarun and promised to deliver the sofa on 7th April 2012.
                            It was not delivered on 7th Apr and neither did I receive any call from store/warehouse. On 8th April I myself called at store and found that Tarun was on leave. After raising concern an executive named Dhananjay (ph: [protected]) attended the call and gave some vague excuses and promised to deliver the sofa on 9th April. I have to say that this guy has a very poor attitude and doesn't know how to talk to a customer. He was sounding as if he's doing me a favour. I told him that I would be in office on 9th Apr and so the sofa needs to be delivered after 7pm, to which he agreed. Dhananjay also mentioned that I would get a call from warehouse on the morning of 9th April.

                            9th April - At 11am I received a call from a truck driver who said that he was at HSR Layout with the sofa. I said I'm was in office and couldn't come home and asked him why was it delivered in the morning and that too without any prior notice from warehouse? To this he replied that he was just a truck driver and I needed to talk to warehouse executives. I sent him back and called at Dhananjay asking him reason for this abnormality when I had already talked to him. I got a pathetic response - "The truck driver gave you a call naa. What else?. I am not in store, call me later".

                            My questions to Evok are -
                            1. At the time of purchase, so many executives attend a customer and once the customer gives in and pays, does the responsibility of Evok get over just because it has received the money?
                            2. Doesn't Evok have the courtesy to call the customer and inform status of deliveries? Or is it customer's responsibility to follow up?
                            3. Before delivery, is it not Evok-warehouse's responsibility to call the customer and get a confirmation?
                            4. Last but not the least, can Evok please have sales executives who have better mannerisms and don't sound like goons?

                            Today, I have lodged the complaint on Evok's customer care portal. If I don't get a response by EOD, I will escalate the matter to the portal of Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

                            I too stay in HSR layout bought the furniture from same store. Furniture are not deliveried. I made the full payment in march 2012. I would claim for the rfund of the amount with inyterest.

                            The company charged a hefty amount for a five seater (3+1+1) sofa set out of which a one seater has defeciency/defective piece and the Company refuses to change/replace the product.

                              We had ordered a modular kitchen for our apartment on October 9th, 2011 and at that time, 50% of the payment was taken which was around 1 lakh and we were told that we have to make the remaining payment before the material was delivered. We wanted to make some part of the payment only after the installation of the kitchen, since we expected that EVOK would take forever to install the kitchen after getting 100% of the payment, which is what is happening. Five months down the line as of March 20th 2012, our kitchen is still not complete and we are waiting for material to be delivered from Gurgaon, with no updates from the store. We cannot occupy the house without a functional kitchen.
                              On November 29th, 2011, someone from the store called and said that we need to make the balance 50% payment since the material had arrived. On november 30th, 2011, the remaining payment was made as promised by us and since then, the work has been getting delayed for one reason or the other. We were promised that the kitchen would be installed in 7 days and now it's been 3 weeks and even the base cabinets are not yet done. After the material was delivered to the apartment, Mr Chiranjeevi took 3 days to come inspect the material and he did not have the latest list of what we had ordered. After that, they mentioned that the existing granite counter had to be removed before they could start the work. This could have been done beforehand, since they had gone and inspected the site and were aware that we had the granite counter. Anyway, we got the counter removed and then, for another two days, no one came to start work. Then, they started work and two days into the work, they realised some of the hinges are missing. And now, we are waiting for material to be delivered to resume work. I don't understand why these things were not checked when they did the inspection. And at the same time, they say they will call us or send us a message on 17th December 2011 about when the remaining parts will come but we did not hear from them, so we started contacting their customer care center and got in touch with Ms Pratima who is Mgr Customer Relations. Ms Pratima assured us that on or before 30th December, 2011 they will get the balance articles of your kitchen delivered and installed and she assured us of constant support from Evokcare team till they complete the kitchen.
                              Today, is March 19th 2012 and OUR KITCHEN IS STILL NOT COMPLETE AND WE ARE WAITING FOR SOME MORE MATERIAL TO BE DELIVERED and this time, again we were promised by Pratima that our kitchen would be complete and functional latest by Saturday, March 17th 2012 and when we tried contacting her today, she did not respond to our call. We sent them a mail telling them we would be approaching the consumer court on March 13th 2012 and we did not get a response to that mail as well. We needed to occupy our house since January mid 2012 and we still are not able to occupy it and we have no deadlines from EVOK about when they will finish their work.
                              Their sales order says that assembly and fixing of kitchen will be done in 8 working days after delivery of material which was around December 2011 first week. It also says any damage, shortage or wrong material delivered at site will be replaced within 3 weeks. Our order was placed on October 9th 2011 with 50% payment made then and we paid the remaining 50% on November 29th, 2011 and today 4 months later, we still are waiting for parts to be delivered and installed with no end in sight. Also, we are not delivered what we are promised, even in terms of communicating with us about what is happening.
                              We regret spending 2 lakhs on an EVOK kitchen and getting this kind of service. We could have instead gone with a local carpenter and both the customer service and quality would have been better and it would have been much cheaper. We strongly recommend against buying anything from EVOK because this is how the store is dealing with customers. They are taking the consumer for granted and cheating customers with false promises. The store manager at EVOK Hyderabad very gladly mentioned to us that since theirs is a new store in hyderabad, they would ensure very fast and reliable service to the customer so that they can establish a good name for the brand in the city and we need not worry about the complete payment being done before the installation of the kitchen.
                              We are considering going to consumer court regarding the pathetic consumer service that we have received from EVOK and ending up with a non functional kitchen inspite of the commitments made to us in the sales order. The sales order says the kitchen will be installed in 8-10 working days after.the parts are delivered and if there are any missing parts, they will be replaced within 3 weeks. Calculating all of it, the kitchen should have been ready by December 2011 end. We are looking for compensation for the inconvenience caused by EVOK and a functional kitchen ASAP.

                                Hindware - the organisation with international product range but traditional outlook to handle the customers complaints.
                                It is my sincere advise not to buy hindware / evok products ever specially kitchen products . Not only the product quality is pathetic but the way the complaints have been handled is even worst .
                                Its better to buy kitchen appliances from any other brand rather than regretting at the later stage .

                                  My name is Rajesh and I had bought few items from Evok, J.P. Nagar, Bangalore.
                                  Sales Order No.: 1016SO/11-12/000308
                                  Date: 30/12/2011

                                  The delivery was done wrong first time (07/01/2012). The store
                                  manager, Shekhar, requested for one day time to make the correct
                                  delivery. Next delivery (08/01/2012) was done at night 12 o'clock (As
                                  per talk with Shekhar the delivery time was supposed to be 9 o'clock).
                                  But this time also the delivery was done wrong. Whole night I had to
                                  spend there without sleep as there is no facility (new house and
                                  nobody has yet moved in there).
                                  Againg Shekhar told me we will definitely deliver it the next day.
                                  Next day the deliver was supposed to be done at evening 7 o'clock. I
                                  waited there till 7:30 and left. I got the call from the delivery team
                                  at 7:45 that they have reached the place for delivery. I need to
                                  travel back 7-8 kms to take the delivery.

                                  Now I have one extra queen size mattress that I need to return to
                                  Evok. I have asked the store manager for compensation.

                                  Today the persons from Evok (Shekhar, Manjunath, Gautam) called me and
                                  told me to take leave from my office and return the mattress today
                                  itself otherwise I need to face dire consequences. I am not sure what
                                  they planed.

                                  After harrassing me so much none of the Evok employee has any guilt
                                  that the mistake is on their part. I need some higher official to look
                                  into the matter. Hope you can get me in touch with some higher
                                  official who can handle this.

                                    I had placed an order for "Irene Coffee Table with 4 Stools" on M/s Hindware Home Retail Pvt. Ltd. as per the following details.

                                    Item Code: IT00025485.
                                    Sales Order No. 1003SO/11-12/000590, dated[protected].
                                    Sale Value: Rs.15,960.00
                                    Expected date of delivery (EDD):[protected]

                                    The company delivered the ordered furniture item with much delay, well beyond the EDD. Further, though the item was okay initially, within a few months the joints (specially at edges) of not only the table but also of all the four stools started cracking up, either because the wood was unseasoned or the workmanship was shoddy.

                                    After the matter was brought to their notice, the company sent a workman who repaired the damage and re-polished the table and the four stools in September 2011.

                                    Now barely two months later, the cracks have again appeared!

                                    I want the company to remove the defective items and either give a quality replacement or refund the price.

                                        We had bought a 3 piece set of recliners for 1.27 lac. They were delivered 1 week late but more importantly all these pieces had torn leatherite fabric. One recliner had a wobbly piece were the hand rest is, while another had huge gaps between 2 seats.

                                        We had purcahsed Modular Kitchen from EVOK and it was completed in March 12 but within 1 year we had to call the service centre who after lot of reluctance has provided service, The main issues are
                                        1. Hinges become loose
                                        2. Skirting comes out
                                        3. Door comes out
                                        Even after repairing 3 times we went to complain at Evok, faridabad today and they answered login your complain and give us complain no to take action.
                                        Is this customer staisfaction EVOK is providing to there customers
