Hello fedex,

This is with reference to the shipment with airway bill number [protected] (Enclosed pdf file) i'd like to bring it to your kind notice that my shipment with reference number 481217 has not yet been delivered to me at the address saurabh ahuja, global audio text solutions pvt. Ltd. #708 7th floor, crown heights, sector-10, rohini near rithala metro, new delhi 110085- india.

As mentioned in the bill of entry dated 2017/06/06, bill no. 9984471 iec no. [protected], i've been charged with fine amount inr 65000 (Rupees sixty five thousand only) along with the duty amount inr 38672 (Rupees thirty thousand six hundred seventy two only). I shall not pay the fine amount of rupees sixty thousand only, as i had not been notified on the movement of my shipment. However, i am ready to pay the duty amount.

I request you to please state a valid reason for holding-up my shipment and kindly release my shipment at the earliest.

    I ordered goods from shanghai and goods came to bangalore cusotms on september 9, 2017. All documents given but no response from fedex. Called the concerned case worker about 50 times. He either disconnects or does not pick my call. I am also calling their customer care and mumbai office but all just have one reply “ sir please wait” it has been almost 20 days but no update.

      My shipment tracking number is[protected].
      I have not received the shipment yet. But when i track the shipment using tracking number it shows shipment delivered. The delivered date is[protected]. But till now i have not received the shipment. I don't have the details regarding where the shipment deliverd and not even the contact details of fed ex. The shipment was sent from delhi.
      Kindly go through the problem and resolve it.

        Hi,
        I had shipment which came from hongkong to india, kerala. Shipment started from hongkong 14/08/2017 and reached india, bangalore on 16/08/2017 and from that day onward the shipment was under assessment by bangalore customs. Fedex people asked so many document in preceding week and i have given all they asked and still they couldn't cleared the shipment. I have given kyc, declaration letter, clarification letter, pan card, id card. Authorization letter. But still no progress. When ever i call customer care they have only thing to say we are checking in highest priority and i dont see any change. There has been 2 complaint number created [protected] and [protected] unfortunately no progress no that. When shipment was ready in hongkong fedex people told they will deliver fast even though fedex was costly compared to others but now its been month and not delivered. Though now i had to move forward with complaint in consumer court for cheating.

              Dear sir,

              Sub: non-provision of customs duty e-payment receipt and transaction id by fedex for tracking#[protected]. Item still not delivered!

              It's been around 15 days that i raised the complaint, but the issue has not yet been resolved. I have been in constant touch with the fedex india team by email, over phone, but in vain. The only thing that has been accomplished are the multiple reference numbers! For the same issue which is pending resolution and currently in a state of deadlock.
              Here are the reference numbers:
              Reference no [protected] (22-sept2017)
              Ref: ctrl [protected] (14 sept2017)
              Ref. No. – [protected] (13 sept2017)
              Ref. No.#[protected] (13 sept 2017)

              Very soon the 'purchase protection' guaranteed by the seller is going to expire, implying that the product if found defective or tampered-with cannot be exchanged. My parcel is lying with the local fedex delivery hub!

              I wonder why:

              1. Fedex is unable to provide 'transaction id' of the payment and 'customs duty e-payment' receipt as a proof of the duty payment it made to customs bangalore on my parcel.

              Note: the government customs policy mandates that any payment above rs.10, 000 is made via e-payment. Ideally providing customs duty e-payment receipt and transaction id should be a straightforward process. Of course, the exemptions being, the cases where there is something 'fishy'.

              I would like to know whether fedex takes full responsibility and (Fully compensate for the monetary loss) for my parcel if the 'purchase protection' lapses due to this negligence, inaction and lack of transparency of fedex.

              Going by this experience of mine, i would never never, buy any item online where the logistics is handled by fedex.

              It is time that the government and the regulatory authorities step in to make sure that other retail consumers like me are not 'taken for a ride' by fedex and allied logistics providers.

              Despite being in a state of helpless and shock, i look forward with optimism, and hope that justice, professionalism, integrity and transparency will ultimately prevail and fedex not only delivers my parcel without any further delay, but also monetarily compensates me for this delay.

                My shipment (Not generated by me) is stuck at delhi airport since sep 7th.

                Fedex first asked for kyc docs. I submitted it. (It took them 5-6 days to resolve kyc docs issue.)
                But on 12 th sep i received 5 separate mails from separate employees of fedex saying documents are received and updated.
                Then no communication for next 3-4 days. On 16th sep i received phone call asking for declaration letter saying it is my personal old watch and i didnt pay for this shipment. I sent the mail to two fedex employees and they claim they didnt receive it. Whereas it is still in my sent folder with all the attachments.

                2nd issue:
                To fedex - if you have read the airway bills shipper clearly mentioned it as 'return goods'. Which means this watch is old one.

                Again shipper has clearly mentioned 'repaired watch' that means it was sent for repair. It is clear that package has old watch.

                They say customs is holding the shipment. If they are doing so then what is the role of fedex? Why cant they handle this kind of small issue with customs?
                On 19th sep i have sent last document to fedex. I wrote a letter to deputy commissioner declaring all the scenario about the watch. Today its 22nd sep and still i am waiting for fedex reply.

                And above all they will charge you for warehousing charges.
                With all this information why will customs hold my shipment?
                If they do then how it is in fedex warehouse? How they charge for warehousing? I don’t think customer like me should pay these charges. How could i be responsible for this? Its fedex only! They should not ask for warehousing charges.
                Now anybody will take the responsibility from fedex and reply me with status of this shipment?
                Are you that much responsible? Are you sure you still work towards customer satisfaction?

                  In the very beginning i had mail conversation with mr. Arokiya praveen kumar, regarding this shipment. If you ask anything to him he will reply with same answer for all the questions, very poor and worst customer support from him. July 13th i asked him to arrange meeting with custom officer to explain about our product. Finally they (Mr. Nanda kumar) arranged on 12th aug morning 11:30 (Mr. Vaibhav prabhuajgaonkar helped me to reach nandakumar). I was there in fedex lobby at 11am. No one knows where is nanda kumar. Receptionist advised to go customs cell to meet nanda kumar. Someone sent me to 1st floor/ 2nd floor/ 3rd floor.. I unable to find the person anywhere.. I asked receptionist, surely is there anybody with name nandakumar? Again i waited in reception for 2hrs. I reached him from their reception landline after 50times call. Nanda kumar said, come again at 4pm to meet. I tried to explain, as per your email, i was here since 11am again you postponing to 4pm without listening me. I felt ashamed myself. I said through phone call to him, i wanna see you atleast come to your office reception. He said, no time!! Again some one came to meet me 4:30pm and he took me to custom officer place. Custom officers said, "this is very old shipment, already detained by me, why you didn't appeal this case for these many time." i explained to him, i was helpless with poor fedex. Kindly reexamination this shipment. He wrote same on the notesheet. After this today is 6th day (18th sep) still no response from fedex. Really i unable to understand, as i'm into business, we're welcoming our customer with honor. But you fedex guys work like something unable to describe.

                    [protected] this is my tracking number my shipment is from bangladesh to india; it's a gift. The scheduled delivery date was on 26 aug 2017 and today is 14 sept 2017 nearly 20 days; since from 20 days am waiting for my package daily i need to call fedex and the response will be wait for your package our agent is trying to retrieve your package and we have written an expertise email and their is no update regarding they say and shut the call saying we cannot tell you delivery date as per now there are many backlogs under custom clearance if i ask further they asked me to complain @fedex india my question is what customer service will do? After paying lot of money on fedex services we get this reward. I don't understand whether fedex people are trying or not. My shipment was a international priority. My goodness and still stuck in customs next time i need to rethink to make a shipment with fedex. I personally feel my package is been completely neglected and i demand fedex to deliver my package as soon as possible at my doorstep. For which i shall be thankful later; as per now am a sufferer.

                          After being in transit for 21 days, a delivery guy arrived to handover this package this afternoon without any prior notification by phone or email.

                          I was not even aware he was expecting to show up and ask to collect duty on it. Please note the following:

                          1) there is conflicting information on the fedex bills he has presented with different amounts appearing on both papers. On one of the papers it mentions customs duty as rs1200/- and on the second one an additional rs500/- has been added on with no explanation.

                          2) no courier bill of entry stamped by customs was shown to me as proof of duty fedex paid to delhi customs.

                          3) the delivery guy vaguely pointed to some names digitally typed on one of the fedex papers saying those are people from customs. But mere names do not indicate that they have been signed by custom authorities. There is no customs/government of india stamp on either of the papers. Both papers with the differing amounts shown to me appear to be from fedex and not from delhi customs.

                          Kindly note the package is a gift for personal use as mentioned several times already should not have incurred any customs charge in the first place.

                          Fedex expect people to pay duty without providing any supporting documentation from the customs. The courier bill of entry is a must and should accompany the package. And customers should be notified about any amount to be collected prior by phone.

                          I was trying to reach the fedex office in pune on the number the delivery guy provided[protected] but quite expectedly there was noone to answer and offer any clarification.

                          I prefer to see to see the related paperwork / challan for the amount paid to delhi customs by email preferably before i receive any package. Otherwise how does one know that fedex is not charging these amounts and pocketing it themselves?

                          As far as my understanding goes a gift till value rs.10, 000/- incurs no cutoms duty and fedex calculations lack transparency and make no sense.

                          When i wrote in to see clarification from the email [protected]@fedex.com i got a response saying 'delivery will be attempted today' - which was not even what i wrote in about!!
                          No one appears to read customer emails at fedex before sending out standard responses.

                          Fedex just does not seem to capable of running an efficient operation in india. Hopeless customer service. Every one of their branches and offices is completely out of reach. Complete lack of transparency.
                          And zero accountability.

                          God alone can help anyone who makes the mistake o[censored]sing their services in india.

                          I managed to speak with one of your call center agents and he explained the difference in amount is due to 2 reasons:

                          1) Manual error in calculation
                          2) The Rs.500/- added on to the customs duty is Fedex clearance charge

                          How come customers have to incur a separate clearance charge which is not part of the customs bill?

                          The consignee ought only to be paying for custom duties and taxes. When the shipper uses a courier they would already be paying for the courier service/clearance etc.

                          I recent used the UPS courier services and only paid what was on the Courier Bill of Entry. They did not charge a separate amount for themselves to clear the item from customs. This extra charge can't be legal. And considering that you took over two weeks to clear it from customs it ought not to even be there.

                          2) why is there an additional rs.500/- charge payable to fedex added to the customs duty charge?

                          It is not typical of other courier companies to bill customers a further clearance charge. The consignee ought only to be paying for custom duties and taxes imposed by the indian government.

                          Kindly let me know when i can expect to receive a clarification on this from your brokerage team.

                            Sir,

                            Upon a careful scrutiny of the courier bill of entry-v and fedex invoice copy (Viz., cbe-v and invoice
                            #: blr-c-20641) sent by you, i have noticed several inconsistencies in the charges levied,

                            Which are as follows:

                            1) recheck with the customs the import duty on ' cctv camera system (Without display unit)' purchased
                            For self consumption/personal use. Due to these incosistencies, prima facie it appears that all the
                            Duties+misc. Charges levied by fedex, i end up more 51% of the actual buy price (While actual amount
                            Paid is usd 420.10; when converted into inr @1usd= inr65.15; the value is coming to approx: inr
                            27, 369). The invoice states that the payable amount is inr 14415.00, which is 52.6% in excess of the
                            Actual buy value.

                            2) w. R. T item 'other frtin-land' amounting to rs. 5782. Kindly note that apart from usd.420.10
                            (Shipping being free as per the seller website), i haven't paid anything extra while purchasing the
                            Item on aliexpress.com. Hence, if that item (Rs.5, 782) is related to shipping and freight it is
                            Incorrect as customs/import duty is always calculated on the value paid or seller invoice

                            3) if the customs duty claimed by fedex looks inflated to make matters worse the difference between the
                            Amounts mentioned in the cbe-v and invoice #: blr-c-20641 is numerically significant!

                            Request you to:
                            I request you to follow the following course of action:

                            1. Approach the customs department and request them to reassess the customs/import charges as claimed to be levied as per cbe-v. I understand that the process may take 2 to 3 working days or a couple of
                            Days more. Kindly present the declaration letter sent by the seller on the contents of the parcel which clearly states: "cctv system without display".
                            For your convenience, i attaching the softcopy of declaration that the seller sent to me upon request.
                            Kindly note that i have requested the seller to email the declaration to [protected]@fedex.com.

                            Note: from my side, i have already emailed bangalore customs seeking clarification!

                            2. Kindly make sure you produce a valid proof (Necessarily stamped by customs) to authenticate the accuracy of the customs /import duty you wish to claim from me while delivering the parcel.

                            3. Also do help me understand what led to a mismatch in the figures quoted in cbe-v and invoice #: blr-c-20641.

                            3. Once we get the required adjustments, transparency in calculation and thus much required clarity, we can take the process forward.

                            Kindly enlighten me just in case i didn't get it correctly.

                            I had already informed FEDEX India in Chat with Customer care yesterday not to send the Parcel for delivery, till the issue with incorrect bill (without properly valid payment and Stamped proof is resolved). But unfortunately the the Parcel got loaded to the Delivery van and got a call from them for delivery of the parcel. Does this indicate:

                            1. Indifference of FEDEX to customer request, customer concerns about improper and incorrect billing?
                            2. Lack of proper communication and coordination between Customer service team and the delivery team? Hope the leadership [protected]@FEDEX takes cognizance and address these transparency and integrity issues.

                            Unfortunately, I have to repeat the same points, as no one is addressing them and not getting my real concerns addressed. Kindly read it thoroughly before replying.

                            Summarizing the important points for your sake:

                            1. Didn't request a "Customer-Stamped" bill but a BOE bill or any other bill proper attested/stamped by the "Govt. of India- CUSTOMS". This will help in authentication my side, thus facilitating a very prompt payment from my side. Hope this is clear.

                            2. The amount given in BOE stamped by Customs should exactly match with the Customs invoice generated by FEDEX. Both cannot be different.

                            3. The item in the parcel is "CCTV camera without Display" but Customs got calculated for "CCTV camera with Display" which is incorrect

                            4. W.R.T Item 'Other FrtIN-Land' amounting to Rs. 5782. Kindly note that I have already paid USD.420.10 online. Apart from this no other payment was done.Shipping is free, thus I haven't paid anything extra while purchasing the item on website.
                            Hence, if that item (Rs.5, 782) is related to shipping and freight it is incorrect as customs/import duty is always calculated on the actual value paid or seller invoice. There can be no tax/duty on a non-existent transaction. Tax/Duty is imposed only on a transaction when it occurs. So Rs. 5, 782 that got levied is incorrect. Please clarify.

                            5. Kindly send the Parcel for delivery, only after my concerns are properly addressed and upon my subsequent acknowledgement of the same in writing. There is no point in hastily sending the item for delivery by quoting an inflated and unauthenticated bill and try to put to rest, the issues raised by with properly addressing them.

                            Hope you will address the points raised by me and not anything else.

                            Sub: Non-provision of Customs Duty e-payment receipt and Transaction id by FEDEX for tracking#[protected]. ITEM STILL NOT DELIVERED!

                            It's been around 15 days that I raised the complaint, but the issue has not yet been resolved. I have been in constant touch with the FEDEX India team by email, over phone, but in vain. The only thing that has been accomplished are the multiple reference numbers! for the SAME ISSUE which is pending resolution and currently in a state of Deadlock.
                            Here are the reference numbers:
                            Reference no [protected] (22-sept2017)
                            Ref: Ctrl [protected] (14 sept2017)
                            Ref. no. – [protected] (13 Sept2017)
                            Ref.no.#[protected] (13 Sept 2017)

                            Very soon the 'Purchase Protection' guaranteed by the seller is going to expire, implying that the product if found defective or tampered-with cannot be exchanged. My parcel is lying with the Local FEDEX delivery hub!

                            I wonder why:

                            1. FEDEX is unable to provide 'Transaction ID' of the payment and 'Customs Duty e-payment' receipt as a proof of the Duty Payment it made to Customs Bangalore on my Parcel.

                            Note: The Government Customs policy mandates that any payment above Rs.10, 000 is made via e-payment. Ideally providing Customs Duty e-payment receipt and Transaction ID should be a straightforward process. Of Course, the exemptions being, the cases where there is something 'Fishy'.

                            I would like to know whether FEDEX takes full responsibility and (fully compensate for the monetary loss) for my Parcel if the 'Purchase Protection' lapses due to this negligence, inaction and lack of Transparency of FEDEX.

                            Going by this experience of mine, I would NEVER NEVER, buy any item online where the logistics is handled by FEDEX.

                            It is time that the Government and the regulatory authorities step in to make sure that other retail consumers like me are not 'taken for a ride' by FEDEX and allied logistics providers.

                            Despite being in a state of helpless and shock, I look forward with optimism, and hope that Justice, professionalism, Integrity and Transparency will ultimately prevail and FEDEX not only delivers my Parcel without any further delay, but also monetarily compensates me for this delay.

                              I'm writing here to get my item which is shipped by fedex with tracking number[protected]. Now it is in delhi. My item not delivered even after one month. I also submitted kyc documents. This is very unprofessional. Customer care is truly waste, every time i call even after waiting for 30 minutes call cannot be connected to a representative. So finally here to get my item. I will wait for one week, if my item not delivered i will spread this to my family, friends, and colleagues.

                              I am not here for any time pass. Everyone who visits FedEx complaints will come to know how the support team is working. I posted the complaint one month before, now I see how FedEx is working. Now onwards I will not prefer FedEx from my side, and I will tell everyone about this incident.                                 Highly unprofessional team and service.

                                My package has been lying in delhi for the last one week with no movement at all. There seems to be no follow up at their end. Inspite of submitting all the kyc documents, form, authorization letter etc even before the package arrived in india they have not proceeded with clearance and only keep assuring that they have sent an email to the clearing agent and will be me updating soon. However i have been listening to this story from their international services for a week now and there has been no movement on it still.

                                It seems they wait until the customer tries to track it down with them and only then take action. They need to be more proactive at processing their packages otherwise it is meaningless to pay for their services. Even the indian postal system works faster than them.

                                14 days have passed since this package was shipped from the point of origin and it it is still stuck in delhi since aug 22.

                                There has been no further update to the online status and neither have the fedex agents contacted about any pending document on my part. Someone reads these complaints and asks for name and contact number, posts a generic reply and then disappears altogether.

                                They have not even started the clearance process on the package even though it has been available for clearance at delhi customs since aug 22. The package is just lying somewhere and fedex seem least concerned. I can't understand what is going on.

                                Fedex have simply put down the reason for delay as:

                                Reason for delay:
                                A specialized form/statement is required for clearance from recipient.
                                Recommended action:
                                Please call fedex customer service.

                                But when you call their customer service and enquire around this the fedex agents are clueless and just say they have attached all the kyc documents sent across to them and nothing has been communicated to them about a missing document.

                                There appears to be no active follow on the part of the fedex customer service agents. They only seem to repeat that the matter has been forwarded to the concerned team and they will respond to the customer shortly. After which there is silence and zero accountability.

                                They least they can do is contact the delhi customs and seek clarification on what is missing.

                                God alone knows how fedex secured a licence to run their business in india. Absolute nightmare to use them as a courier.
                                Also the online status states a ' customized form is missing' but the fedex customer service is unable to clarify which form is missing out of the documents I have already submitted to them. Their agents blindly shoot out emails with generic text to their customers and their clearance agency when it would make more sense to follow up with a phone call and ascertain the reason for the delay.

                                Fedex India's services is more like a bad joke and going by there track record here it seems most of their customers face this harassment. I would advise anyone to never ship with them even if were the only choice.

                                A package shipped on Aug 18 from its point of origin is still in transit 12 days later!

                                  Hi sunil from whitefield bangalore as i have one courier it has to be deliver by 23rd august by 8pm but till now didn't receive courier customer care giving false commitment. Bad and worst service i had faced in fed ex courier. I need to knw what's the express courier and also why they committed estimated delivery and they will connect money for that. False commitment and also didn't receive my courier yet.

                                    This is shashikanth heerekar, my shipper booked a shipping from hong kong to hyderabad, ts, india.

                                    The shipment arrived in india on 10th aug. My package delivering was on 12th aug 2017 and today it is 21st aug 2017 and my package yet to arrive at my door steps. Whenever i am looking fedex on their helpline number they are replying by saying it will be cleared till tomorrow morning!

                                    I don't know what they mean by tomorrow morning. It is unprofessional stuff by fedex. They use third-party company like transactglobal for kyc verification instead of their own team. They don't even have their own caller center they use thirdparty call centers. These guys doesn't even know what they are dealing with. They are dealing for second biggest shipper in fedex but they service is so unprofessional.

                                    Same goes with social media platform after taking our tracking number. Their social media guys just disappear and don't even reply us.

                                    If you guys don't want to run service then government should take action and close this company services in india till they don't become service for their clients.

                                    I want to hear something good news that my package is arriving on so and so date.! Rather blaming indian custom officers as "there is a backlog of 10 to 12 days" this song is becoming very old to be honest. Every other guy says something customer support team :d

                                      It's been in "clearance instructions from the importer are required.". I have contacted customer care almost daily from 9th of august.
