On 6 Oct, I have ordered 1, 5GM 24KT Gold coin of e-Gitanjali vide order No. OD[protected] worth Rs. 13947, another 2 coins (5GM+2GM)- Vide Order No- OD[protected]worth Rs. 19609 and another 2 coins- vide order No- OD[protected] worth Rs. 19690 (in total, I have ordered 5 coins, 19GMS gold worh Rs. 53, 165 vide 3 separate orders) and made payment with my CITI bank credit card under 10% cash back offer. Reason for placing order separately to get maximum cash back (Rs. 5316) from CITI bank under this scheme. Ultimately I will have to pay Rs. 47, 849 (53, 165-5, 316) to CITI Bank.
Same day late evening I got mail on my registered email id from Flipkart, saying that my order has been accepted and it will get delivered by Saturday, 11 Oct 2014. Then, I got sms on my registered mobile number saying your products are packed by seller and ready to be shipped. Next day early morning (7:39 am)*, I got sms from flipkart that your product were shipped at 5.57AM and will be delivered by Saturday, Oct 11, 2014.
On same day at 11.25am, I got sms from Flipkart saying that our courier partner eKart was unable to delivered your order and hence we have cancelled the order and initiate the refund. Sincerely apologies for inconvenience caused. First surprised for me..
Immediately, I called up on their customer care no and spoken with executive (Netu Singh), she informed me that as per update from our courier partner, they have attempted to deliver the product at your doorstep today morning at 6.47 but you have requested him to cancel the order. second surprised ...
When I have informed her that none of your courier has attempted to deliver the product at my doorstep, she said this is what updated into system by our logistic partner. I informed her that if someone would have attempted to deliver the product then definitively my building watchman would have informed me. But still she was insisting me that someone from your family would have cancelled the order. I told her to give me the name and contact detail of person who has attempted the delivery, I will speak with him, he said that we could not share with you. Third surprised for ….. When I have told her that my building is equipped with cameras and I will check the same into records. Then, she told me that there is no need to check, may be our logistic partner would have wrongly updated the same into system .
Since I am regular buying the various products online from various sites, I am aware that I can ask her to put a request to reattempt the delivery of the product. She said ok, and put my call on hold for almost 30 mins, and then came back and told me that I am not able to put this request into the system, and mentioned that since vendor (i.e. e-Gitanjali) has received the bulk order for this products from their other customer, E-Gitanjali is now not ready to give the product to flipkart’s customer, Hence, we are cancelling this order from our end and will process the refund. Forth and Biggest surprised for me…
I have informed her that see this is not my lookout and I want this product at anyhow then she requested me to speak with her senior (Mr. Rahul Gaba) and transferred this call to him. That guy bluntly told me that they will not deliver the product and will process the refund. I told this guy, look I have spent my time for all this and I want these products, I am not doing this for time pass and will not buy your excuses and informed him that otherwise I will highlights your blunders / scandals on social media. He said let me discuss this with my seniors and will get back to you by EOD.
I have asked him to get back to me by today 9pm. He said ok.
Within 10 mins, I got various sms and emails from flipkart cancelling my all orders and mentioned that you made an excellent choice by deciding to purchase one of the top selling products on Flipkart. However, due to high demand for this item and in order to provide all customers an equal opportunity to avail this great deal we had to cancel all your Order and will process the refunds of latest by 18 Oct.
My Observations;
1. Their Customer care executive never think twice to lie with their customers.
2. First they put all the blame on eKart (which is the subsidiary of Flipkart only). Then, they put the blame on e-Gitanjali. Why they are not sharing the contact details?
3. At 7 Oct, at 5.57, Vendors has shipped the product to flipkart and within 50 mins, logistic partner of flipkart has attempted the delivery of the same at my place in Mulund. What Non-sense!!!
4. Which logistic company deliver the product in early morning at 6.47? No timing sense????
5. Why I am getting the message on 7 Oct at 7.29* from flipkart, if I would have already returned at 6.47 in the morning.
6. Since, E-Gitanjali, has shipped the product at 5.47am, where is the logic in e-Gitanjali’s Bulk order and not ready to handover the products.
7. There is no agreement / contract with e-Gitanjali ? there is no breach of agreement clause in this agreement?
8. Why Flipkart was accepting the orders for the same product till yesterday late evening?
9. Whether all orders received for the same product were cancelled or only orders with credit card offers got cancelled?
10. Where is a point of high demand and equal opportunities to avail the great deal. Why no opportunities have been given to me and cancelled my all order??? They should have shown like out of stock like other majority products.
11. As per the flipkart, under this scheme, no cancellation, no refund only exchange, then why they are insisting me to take the refund?
12. Why they are holding my huge money in their account for 12 days. Are they making money from that also?
13. They have not calculated the discounts on gold before put the scheme online. I was getting gold at Rs. 25, 200 per 10gm[protected]% cash back), while market rate is around Rs. 27000. They have realised this later on hence now not ready to give the products even though vendor has shipped the products. Further, the gold rate has increased during the evening, they don’t want to give these benefit to me.
14. They have removed their customer care no and email id from their site, so we cannot reach out to them.
Ultimately, there is a no professional / Business ethics.
I have spent my considerable time on all this and I am not going to let it go without accepting their accepting their mistakes in writing and deliver my products.
