I ordered a "Whirlpool NEO IC255 CLS PLUS 3 242 L Double Door Refrigerator" on 21st Oct'14 at around afternoon. The product mentions that after booking and payment the Flipkart would issue an e-Gift Voucher of 2000 INR that would enable an additional shopping of 2000 free on flipkart.
I ordered and successfully paid flipkart through Debit card and received a confirmation mail, but there was no correspondence for e-Gift Voucher. I mailed flipkart regarding the issue. They only replied back with the message that they will contact me back soon, but there was no contact from their side.
I then personally dialled their customer service number a good time after their mail, but to my amazement it took me 4 calls with a half hourly intervals to finally connect to a non-machine person. I narrated my issue, to some second third person, wherein he finally accepted that yes, there was a problem. Even he then took some minutes to finally conclude that e-Gift Voucher will take time to get issued. He mentioned that it might take a fortnight or a month also, which is indefinite and cannot be assured on the date.
Simply a ridiculous reply!!! This is completely wrong statement.
No where in terms and conditions it mentioned time or tenure related concerns, rather it states that
"1. To avail the offer, customers have to add the required products to cart.
2. The EGV will be applicable upon purchase through any device. "
which rather implies that it would be there after the order is successfully made.
This actually created mental tension and pressure. Moreover, my further orders were planned according this offer. This is a sure shot case of misguidance / fake promise/ non fulfillment of promise.
I request the concerned authorities to take required action, and also provide me with the adequate compensation of the mess flipkart created.
