On 6th October, "The Big Billion Day", I placed only one order on Flipkart for "Sony BRAVIA KDL-32W700B 32 inches LED TV" (Quantity '1') and the transaction went successful and amount was paid to Flipkart from the bank payment gateway. Attached is the screen shot.
Also I got order confirmation email from Flipkart, as attached screenshot. The order number is OD[protected] and was placed at 9:55AM, 06 October 2014.
After 45 mins, the order status was changed by Flipkart to 'Cancelled' and I got an email from Flipkart stating the reason as below :
"Greetings from Flipkart.com!
Thank you for your order OD[protected] .
You made an excellent choice by deciding to purchase one of the top selling products on Flipkart. However, due to
high demand for this item and in order to provide all customers an equal opportunity to avail this great deal we had to cancel the following items in your Order.
ITEM - Sony BRAVIA KDL-32W700B 32 inches LED TV
QTY - 1
PRICE/UNIT - Rs. 44900.00
Seller: WS Retail
The amount of Rs. 28400.00 will be refunded back to your bank account/card by Tuesday, 14 Oct'14." - Attached is the email screenshot.
This is ridiculous from Flipkart as I placed only 1 order for only 1 item from Flipkar, there is no point of saying that Flipkart want to give opportunity to every customer, as I am also one of them.
After that I raised a ticker on Flipkart to deliver me the product for which I paid instead of cancelling the order with such non-sense reason. Then I got response on the incident raised as below:
"Hi Sushant,
Order ID: OD[protected]
Product:Sony BRAVIA KDL-32W700B 32 inches LED TV
Thank you for writing in and notifying us.My apologies for the inconvenience caused due to the cancellation of your order. I would like to clarify that due to an unforeseen technical glitch, the price of the product was incorrectly displayed and hence, unfortunately, your order for "Sony BRAVIA KDL-32W700B 32 inches LED TV" was
cancelled.We, at Flipkart, do our level best to ensure that such glitches do not occur. However, inadvertently, inspite of numerous quality checks, an error occurs and our dedicated technical team is notified immediately to sort it.
I understand that we’ll be unable to make up for the inconvenience that was caused and your valuable time spent.And once again, I request your pardon for the unforeseen circumstances caused this time and it was never our expectation, we will sort things for you.I request your kind cooperation and patience in this regard.

So, if Flipkart have accepted the amount and completed the transaction, gave me the Order Id then whatever issue Flipkart have at their end, they can not cancel the order which was already confirmed.
Flipkart is now having my money till it will be refunded to my credit card again.
I want Flipkart to confirm my auto cancelled order and to apologies for this act.
This is really very disappointing and cheat act from Flipkart.
