Tried Flipkart for the first time, and had the worst experience ever. I had ordered for Redmi 1s, when its first sale was announced. I had to register one week in advance to become eligible for the sale, and then I logged in to Flipkart Redmi 1s page exactly when the sale started. After struggling for almost an hour, I managed to order the product. The delivery date given was 10 days after completing the order, owing to heavy demand for the product. I was constantly tracking the status of my delivery, and the seller had updated the delivery date as 12th Sep 2014. Just one day before the delivery date, the order was cancelled by Flipkart. When I called up the Flipkart customer care, they told me that the seller can't deliver in my area. So I provided them an alternate address which was very much serviceable, but the Flipkart executive refused to resend. I then spoke to the Senior Manager in Flipkart, and he started giving lame excuses saying that the courier has returned to the seller. I'm quite sure that the seller didn't even attempt to deliver the shipment, as neither I received an update on Flipkart tracker nor a call/message from the seller. Now the Flipkart manager says that I need to wait for the next sale to begin for re placing the order. After wasting almost 15 days of effort, this is the kind of response you get to receive from Flipkart. Firstly if the area was not serviceable, the website shouldn't have allowed me to enter my area. Even if it had allowed, the Flipkart people/the seller could have informed that the area is not serviceable and could asked for an alternate address. If not, at least Flipkart could have agreed to resend the shipment to my alternate address. But the Flipkart Manager was least interested in addressing the problem and gave all stupid excuses.
