The refrigerator was bought under buy back of my old refrigerator. The new product was delivered on 2nd october 2017 and my old working refrigerator was taken back by same team who delivered the new one. On 3rd october the hitachi service engineer (Nine nine eight seven one four zero four zero zero) who unpacked the refrigerator found the supplied refrigerator damaged in transit. One side of the refrigerator is having dents and paint pealed off. The same was not commissioned by him and i requested flipkart for replacement. Since 3rd october i have been talking to flipkart on the toll free complaint number almost on daily basis but the replacement is still not approved. Hitachi service engineer once again visited my premises on 5th october to see that the refrigerator is not replaced yet.
Flipkart back end team cancelled my old replacement request and raised a new one on 22nd october and informed that a technician visit will take place by 25th october and afterwards the unit will be replaced. Once again i received a call from hitachi call center (Nine zero two nine zero seven zero seven four nine) to confirm if i have received replacement from flipkart. The service engineer or hitachi call center states that they have no role in replacement of the refrigerator and are no more interested to visit as they say they have already taken the photograph of damage and have uploaded.
Even after one month of receipt of damaged product my request for replacement has not been honored by flipkart and every time the call center representatives are giving me new dates after 48-72 hrs stating that the back end team is already on the job and will revert back. However i feel bad for the poor response/ no system of complaint escalation. No one authorized to talk to the hitachi mechanic/ accept photograph taken by me of the refrigerator/ not approving replacement request without technician report. The technician who visited me does not have any access to flipkart/hitachi website.
I am being forced to live without a refrigerator after my old one was taken back and a damaged refrigerator is dumped on me.

Complaint marked as Resolved I tried calling the customer service number of FlipKart on daily basis to followup on replacement status for a month from 3rd October 2017 to 2nd Nov 2017. They initially cancelled my first replacement request and generated a fresh replacement request on 20th October on their website. The back end team informed me that since Hitachi Service engineer has not updated the status after making a technician visit and verifying the refrigerator and conforming the damage in body dent and paint peel off that was reported by me. I had shared the mobile number of service engineer of Hitachi who had seen the refrigerator but there was no action for more than 30 days.
After the complaint was forwarded from the Consumer Complaint forum. The FlipKart team took the complaint seriously and approved the replacement even without any update from Hitachi Service Engineer.
I received a replacement on 5th Nov 2017 (Sunday) within 3 days of approval. This time I opted for open box delivery and observed that there was no damage to the packing of the refrigerator, however there was a minor painting defect on one side of the refrigerator. Since the damage on the replacement refrigerator was acceptable, I retained the new one and the old un-used refrigerator was taken away by FlipKart delivery team. I have put this remark of paint damage on one side the open delivery memo jointly signed by FlipKart representative.
However I was happy to receive replacement after a month long follow up.
Flipkart customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
But with this product I didn't get it's Blub with it.
