"The nurse, Preeti, in the procedure room was extremely rude and biased towards us. She kept us waiting for three hours and attended to local patients first, just because we are not from Chandigarh. She used bad language. We have paid bills for the treatment at Fortis and they are not treating us for free. Therefore, Fortis Hospital, please ensure that your staff know how to treat every patient equally. Even staff at government hospitals treat patients better than the staff at Mohali Fortis. "

    Hello Officer

    Greetings

    I have booked and paid for the video call appointment of Dr Tarlochan Singh Kler for 9.45 AM 15TH April 2023. My appointment has been cancelled without any information and when I tried to contact the hospital on Call there was nobody to provide any information in this regard. Pathetic Experience with Fortis. Booking id is [protected].

    Such kind of services will not be helpful to you to build up a good name among the people who are looking for world class health facilities.

      Respected Sir / Ma’am
      With due respect, I Dr Kajal Sharma daughter of patient Sh. Vinod Kumar Sharma ( UHID No.[protected] want to register a complaint against the management of your hospital ( Fortis, Mohali ) regarding the insensible behavior of the hospital staff on the basis of series of events which occurred as on 8th April 2023 which are as follows :

      The patient went on 7th April 2023 for the follow up check up under Dr Mukesh Vats ( Empanelled Consultant Eye and Retina specialist ).
      The patient was diagnosed with macular edema and was planned for intravitreal injection (Accentrix ) and day care admission for 8th April 2023
      1. The patient was asked to come at 11:00am on 8th April and was informed that after the allotment of the bed and other formalities the procedure will be done. Availability of the bed was confirmed by doctor’s assistant Ms. Nisha at around 9.45am in the morning on a phone call.
      2. The patient wasn’t pre-informed that there is no bed facility available and was misleaded as they were repeatedly told by the staff that they will get it in some time. So the patient was told to get the procedure done without making the necessary facilities available to the patient.
      3. The procedure was done at around 2.15pm and the patient didn’t get the bed even after approx 5 hours, So the patient had to spend the whole post procedural time on a couch (in the name of day care)
      4. The patient was kept for observation but nobody came for the post procedural follow up and then after asking multiple times about the formalities and discharge of the patient the staff was ignorant, non cooperative and misbehaved saying we don’t know anything when you can take your patient home it can 10pm or 11pm in the night
      5. Finally when they agreed to discharge him but denied to give the treatment chart prescribed by the doctor and asked them to go to the doctor’s opd for that, knowingly that the opd hours are already over the doctor had left. After some arguements finally they provided us with the photocopy of treatment chart.
      6. Even if there were some technical issues where the hospital could not provide us with necessary documents at that moment, there must have been some alternative option other than harassing the patient unnecessarily.
      7. We even asked for the OCT report repeatedly, the test which was done on 07 April 2023 but the Doctor’s assistant Ms Nisha denied to provide us the report of the same saying the diagnosis is mentioned on the prescription page of the doctor already and we don’t give the reports to the patient. Transparency has to be there and getting the reports are the rights of the patient.

      We come to fortis to sought personalised care in lieu of the hefty amount that we pay, but this kind of service on the part of fortis is highly irresponsible and unethical . We would rather sort treatment at some other institution who know how to care for their patients and attendants as well.
      Keeping a patient waiting on the couch for 4-5 hours post procedure is not at all acceptable. If no bed was available we should have been told before hand, we could have deferred the procedure till next appointment but we were misled and our patient had to undergo unnecessary harassment. Kindly look into the matter .

      Also the bed charges must not be included in the bill as the patient had spend the whole time sitting on the couch only.

      After yesterday we have completely lost our faith in the institution and would sort treatment at some other place who have ethical conduct and compassion at the same time .

      Anticipating for the reply and hoping that you will take this matter seriously and would take necessary action against such kind of misconduct.

          I am writing to inform you that I am resigning from the post of Dialysis Technician in your Hospital.

          Reasons for my resignation are as follows:-

          I have faced torture from all angles in Fortis Hospital Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

          1. Mr Subhash Reddy of HR department:-
          He called me unnecessarily many times before selecting me as Technician which shows very poor and slow selection process that too when a hospital is in very much need of a dialysis technician. And when I visited his office for interview then he denied and asked me to come over again after two days and acted as if he didn't called me. As I am a native o[censored]dupi District it was very tough for me to travel every alternative days to and from Udupi. Such act of his was repeatedly carried on from 28th January 2023 to 1st March 2023 I.e till my appointment. As a proof You can check in CC Camera as how many days I had come. In addition to this I had to pay for paying guest (PG) during my stay in Bangalore for soo many visits. All these travel/lodging cost was approx. ₹12, 450/-. This was his selection process when hospital is in urgent requirement of a post. I am sure, a year will take for the process of routine hiring of any manpower. Simply wasting time of himself as well as mine. Also during my every visit he made me wait for 2-3 hours giving silly reasons like he is checking etc etc. His checking went on for 40 days only about single candidate. You may calculate his speed of selection by this.
          On joining he didn't give me offer letter. Without an offer letter no one will join any organization. Being HR expert he doesn't know this. Directly he gave me the appointment letter and asked me to join on next day (on 2nd March 2023). This is merely an unprofessional act of his as HR personnel. Then After 2 days of appointment he called me again telling there is mistake happened from HR end in my appointment letter. Again I approached him along with my appointment letter for correction. He then corrected rather reduced my CTC and gave me different appointment letter. Very very irresponsible act. This is only summary o[censored]nprofessionalism from HR not detailed report.

          2. Dialysis Incharge Ms. Emimal, I/c of Dialysis Department :-
          All Nurses are operating dialysis machines since there were no technicians than me. Even after my joining as technician I was expected to work as per their criteria and procedure by incharge. She tried to teach me my job profile. Being technician it is not right thing to work as per nurses instructions. She told me that since 2006 Nurses are operating dialysis machines. If so why I was appointed? It's like getting knowledge from YouTube and then experimenting on patients. God save those patients. She compares Nurses with technicians. Now I understood why all technicians are leaving after short duration from this hospital because nurses are overpowering the whole department and not allowing technician to work according to their own. Incharge makes regional difference. She always talk nicely with colleagues from her native region. And down grading other region. I have never seen such a worst and unprofessional incharge in my career. There is a lack of professionalism in this dialysis department. When patients calls continuously for treatment starting and ending procedures then also only two or three staffs need to run to every patients then also incharge never moves from her seat. Incharge gives designations like shift incharge, Head staff to her region staffs only.
          I don't know how many incharge are there in this department. Senior staff Ms. Sreeja act as she is the head of this unit. Even she used to shout at me in front of patients and thereby insulting me every time. Being a nurse how can she teach me my profile of technician.

          3. There is no proper lunch time which is a fundamental right of any employee. Today(20th march) I went for lunch at 4:30pm. From morning 7:30 am till 4:30 pm I have never got a chance to take break.
          Majorly this department staffs are not focusing on proper patient care, but they are focusing on finishing the work fast and in hurry.
          I don't want to waste my energy in this type of department/hospital where patient care is least important than finishing the job fastly in a wrong way. I don't want to waste more time in writing about this unprofessional department in this Hospital

          4. After 1 week of my joining there was a induction class for me. I had my menstruation periods and was having major abdominal pain and then I suddenly fell down due to low BP, on the floor.
          They took me to the emergency like a out patient even though I was wearing the employee card. They could not recognise me as an employee of this hospital. They charged me fully as out patient. They did not consider me as an employee. They made a new registration and charged me for registration as well even I was having my employee ID. Very shameful and inhuman act. Also my I/c instead of asking about my well being instructed me to attend the duty positively next day without miss. No humanitarian feeling at all. She entered LOP( Loss of Pay) for the day when I was in emergency and had attend the induction class as well.

          I am sure No Technician will stay with such an unprofessional colleagues mainly when patient care is priority.

          However, I want my salary for my 20 Struggling and Hard working days in this hospital. These were the worst days of my career.
          Or at least repay my personal money ₹12, 450 which HR Subhash Reddy have made me to spend for his act of being Unprofessionalism and Irresponsibleness ...

          I did wrong decision by choosing to serve in Fortis healthcare.

            Torture from fortis BG road, Bangalore to an employee

            Address: Fortis Bannerghatta road near iim

            I went to Fortis healthcare in Bannerghatta road today. The nurse asked me about the problem and i confirmed that I'm covid positive. She immediately asked me to leave and will not accept any patients with covid. I explained that i have breathing trouble and was not attended. She asked me to find another hospital and leave there. My friend spoke to the receptionist as to why they are not giving any emergency care and the receptionist cut the call right away without letting the person on the other side speak and did not raise it with the doctor. I had to go to another hospital for emergency.
            They could have atleast done the emergency need since I complained about breathing issue but asked me to go out. I will never go to Fortis hospital again. I believe this is wrong to not accept covid infected patients.

              As Today I was having an appointment for Fortis sector 62 for ENT department and after waiting for 1.5 hrs staff was very rude and talking in very non sense manner if patients are there in hospital and there is no management of handling patients... First time I visited but it was horrible experience with so called Fortis

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                I am writing to bring to your attention a matter that has caused me significant anxiety and concern. I have recently consulted with Dr Narayan Hulse who has advised TKR . I am scheduled forcadmission on 28th March and undergo TKR of my left knee on 29th March. However, I am experiencing a delay in obtaining preauthorization from my insurance company, which is causing me undue stress.

                I have been in contact with your hospital's admin, particularly the insurance desk representative Ms Kanchana, who has been responsible for obtaining preauthorization from my insurance company. Despite submitting all the required documents as requested, I have been informed that the process is still pending. This delay is causing me great anxiety, as I am uncertain about the financial implications of my treatment.

                Furthermore, I was informed by Kanchana that I must visit the hospital to do the CT scan on another day, even though the scan could be done on 28th morning. This request has created further anxiety for me, as I have already made arrangements for the scheduled admission and the change in plans is inconvenient and unsettling.

                I kindly request that you assist me in expediting the process of obtaining preauthorization from my insurance company and allowing me to undergo the CT scan on 28th March being my scheduled date of admission. This would alleviate my anxiety and allow me to focus on my surgery.

                I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. I await your responses.

                  M/s Fortis Healthcare,

                  This complaint is regarding misbehaviour by a doctor working for Fortis Healthcare.

                  My consultation was under the supervision of Dr. Swati Mohan working for Fortis (Faridabad). This treatment is undergoing for the last 4-5 Months for which multiple appointments were taken.

                  Complete fees for the same were paid in advance already.

                  The doctor lacks politeness and gentle behaviour but still we were coping up with all this to get a proper treatment.

                  Today i.e.[protected], we had a scheduled appointment with the doctor. I was accompanied by my mother.

                  Out of the blue, the doctor got furious and started screaming at my mother in a very rude way. This is not at all acceptable if we are opting for such a reputed healthcare unit.

                  I politely asked her to behave properly with my mother and to this the doctor’s reflexes were extremely disrespectful and distressing. She held my hand and took me outside her cabin and also pushed my mother out of the cabin.

                  She informed us that consultation won’t be continued now and asked us to leave. I simply cannot put my feelings into words right now. This was truly disrespectful for me and my mother too. She asked us to collect the refund.

                  We approached the counter and asked for a refund which was obviously denied. Again approached the doctor who was now not available but her staff informed us that refund cannot be initiated and asked us to continue the treatment for one more session which was already paid by us.

                  We cannot continue with this doctor anymore and would like to get our money back – it amounts to around 8-9 thousand.

                  I would like to grab your attention towards such misbehaving doctors who are defaming the hospital’s reputation and prestige, plus would like to get my refund urgently.

                  Complaint was also filed in the hospital (Faridabad) records. Please find the complaint number – PCCMD1686

                    I tried booking an appointment on the app and made a payment. However, while my money got deducted, I didn't get any appointment. It doesn't reflect on the app either.

                    I have written to Fortis and tried calling them but I received any response/haven't been able to speak to any customer care representative. I have essentially just lost the money and noone is responding with a status of that money.

                      Dear Fortis Hospital Management Team,

                      I am writing to express my disappointment with the quality of care I received during my recent hospital stay. I believe that the irregular hospital services I experienced were unacceptable and I would like to provide feedback to help improve the hospital's services for future patients.

                      Firstly, I had several concerns from the time of admission till discharge.

                      Admission process – The allotted bed after formal allocation was not ready to use. After complaining / reporting I had to wait for more than 45minutes to get the room ready.
                      Housekeeping services - My room was not cleaned on my first day and I noticed dirt and debris on the floor and surfaces. This made me feel uncomfortable, but latter the House keeping service was drastically improved & was doing their services up to their level best without any compromise, It’s appreciable.

                      Secondly, the condition of my room was also a cause for concern. The furniture was outdated and in poor condition, this made the room feel unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Some snapshots are as attached.

                      Lastly, I was very disappointed with the quality of care I received from the nursing team (including floor manager, especially Manisha Mam on her attitude level & the way she handles the customer grievances / concerns). I found some of them to be dismissive of my concerns and they did not take the time to explain my condition and treatment process. Moreover, they failed to provide the prescribed medicine in time, which is serious and a matter of great concern. This made me feel anxious and frustrated with the support & care I was receiving.

                      The Nursing staff are not so efficient & found to be very casual in their approach except for one or two nursing sisters during my entire stay. e.g. they misplaced my case file on the day of admission & for which my post operative medicines intake got delayed for more than 3 - 4 hrs. Which is not at all expected from an institute like yours.

                      Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention that the same incidence has happened on 15th of March 2023, where they failed to provide the prescribed medicine, blood sample intake & x-ray on time. This delay caused a significant inconvenience and discomfort for me, as I had to wait for almost 3-4 hours after repeated reminders and follow-up. This level of service is completely unacceptable."

                      Doctors are too good & very much attentive. But the supporting infra & the support staff are not up to the mark.

                      I believe that these issues need to be addressed to improve the quality of care for future patients. I hope that you take my feedback seriously and take steps to address these concerns.

                              There are doctors and nurses who have absolutely no idea about the wound healing progress. Today i have visited there to check the progress of stitches on the wound and they removed the stitches but would was not Heald and blood was coming out when they removed it. After removing the stitches she was saying that i have no idea that would will open again if stitches gets removed without examine.

                                I was admitted between 5-12 jan 2023. In the last date, the nurse came and collected all the medicines whose invoices were already done and she ensured me it will manage in your final invoice. But, when I received the invoice, returned medicine amount was not managed in it.

                                At that time, I asked admin Miss. Nirmal ma'am to give me in written that amount will be returned to me. I got that time in written. But still struggling to get the amount even after regular followup.

                                  Sorry to say I had very bad experience with Fortis Nagarbhavi last week and it's a kind of cheat to us.

                                  I had a pre-approval on February 7th from Vidal health for ACL reconstruction surgery on 10th February and admission on 9th February evening with private room.

                                  I reached hospital at 5:45 pm on 9th February and admission procedure completed at 6:15 pm but they allocated room at 8:55 pm that to triple sharing...
