    Inspite of previous information the staff couldn't do the Preauthorisation of Insurance. And if we call them, they will not respond at all. I am not understanding who is authorized to do send the Preauthorisation of Insurance for the procedures and operations. Because they tell that it's not their job. Is it true? If at all we don't know the estimate of the procedures and operations then how we should get the Preauthorisation approval from the insurance? This is happening in the Urology department of your hospital at bannerghatta road Bangalore. But at the same time doctors so good and cooperative.

      Customer Feedback with Fortis Billing - Shashi Kanta Kamthan - UHID 3516150 - Episode No 252022/22/1113 Bill No : 111322IPCR032389

      I would like to express my complete dissatisfaction with the Billing for the recent hospitalization of my mother Shashi Kanta Kamthan in Fortis Bannerghatta Road.

      Following are my key concerns:

      1. Inspite of having full Insurance cover (0 co-pay benefits) in my policy, I ended up paying Rs.10842 from my pocket on a total Bill of Rs. 72196. This is primarily because the bill had 2 non-Insurance components Consumables (Rs 5137) and other Hospital Procedural charges of Rs 4612.

      2. Although my mother did not undergo any surgical procedures, the Consumables bill was too high for a 2 days hospitalization. In a hurry to get discharge, I could not review the bill in details but I find gross issues with the bill which can discussed, debated and reviewed. Below are few examples:
      - Bill had 3 Needle Free connectors, 2 IV Cannula, 4 IV Infusion Sets, 13 Syringe disposable, 10 Needle disposables besides other things for a day in CCU. Where did you use so many things? Further if IV Infusion sets and Cannulas are already used what is the need to use so many Syringes and needles.

      3. The bill related OTHER PROCEDURE (Rs 4612) is unnecessarily passed to the customer/patient. Admission charges of Rs 1500 are too high. TPA Processing charges Rs 800 are too high. Biomedical Waste Management charged at Rs 700 per day should ideally be part of your Room Rent and should not be added separately to the Bill as it is non-insurable.

      4. Billing department when asked for an email id for Billing feedback gave me this email id : billing.[protected]@fortishealthcare.com, which is bogus and invalid email id.

      Overall, I ended up paying 15% of the total bill from my pocket inspite of having 0-CoPay benefits in the policy. IMO, hospital do some research to minimize non-Insurance components in the bill instead of plainly passing the cost to customers. Further, I feed the Consumables bill should be reviewed in detail and I expect the refund.

      While paying Rs 10800 for a surgical procedure, where total bill exceeds 2-3 lakhs is fine but it is not fine to pay the same amount for Rs 70000 bill.

      In addition, for all my future needs I would prefer to go to smaller hospitals which are more sensible, customer friendly in their billing and I will advise employees and HR in my company Schneider Electric about the concerns with Fortis Billing.

      I am looking for a refund on the amounts I paid for Consumables and OTHER PROCEDURE

        Appointment fees paid 2 times failed to refund

        I have paid on 9 th October online consultation fees for Dr Rajshekar KTwith booking ID [protected].
        The appointment was on 20 October.
        In the orthopedic booking counter my brother in law paid again for the same doctor as I was not there at that time.
        Immediately after consultation before leaving the hospital we brought to the notice of the booking staff at the counter, they asked me to do online cancellation.

        Denied admission to ECHS patient

        My father is an ex army man, on 13th Nov my father hadba severe headache, we visited noida 62 branch, he got temporary treatment in the emergency ward, after CT scan, doctor said he had blood leakage (SDH) inside his head and we need to admit him in the ICU. I told the same to the person in the billing counter, he said okay, and said he is preparing the papers, and asked me to wait for 15 minutes, but after 15 minutes he told me that no beds...

        Whenever I visited Fortis there is so good check up, not good medicines .But today I visited for gallbladder polyl.'s problem, the doctor said that in our hospital we don't have treatment for this. The person who was doing EWS OPD billing said you have to wait for 2 years for treatment.

            I am a doctor myself, had approached to fortis hospital Nagarbhavi for job application. I had initially messaged and contacted the HR through phone, since I got no response I decided to go there directly (since I had no response from 10 days) When I reached, HR was not available. I called them up and she asked me to wait.
            She made me wait for 2 hours, I went and asked in ER (since she told me to go there) then I went back to HR cabin and I called her after waiting for almost 2 hours she cut my call when she was walking right in front of me.
            I agree if the team is busy or something, but respect the people who apply for the job. Please. I was dedicated that much that I myself came and waited. At least have courtesy to inform saying there is no vacancy if that is the case.

              I want to complain, when I and my whole family is peak of tolerance. Continuously derogatory behavior even abusive behavior from security staff and nurses staff. We want to bring your notice on continues behavior and patient explosion.

              My name is sunita sharma, my patient name is santosh sharma (mother) is CGHS-ECHS (ARMY) service holder besides we are willingly pay cash for better hospital facility.

              So I want you to notice.

              Complain 1 : on 09/09/2022, morning, I was here fulfill the procedure for admission of my mother ( she have a surgery with c.p. dadich ( gyanea team). At 4:30 to 5:45 pm, I put my bag in cabin under my mother observation after some hours when we shift in our rooms at 9'o'clock, I found my money (4500) was stolen, immediately I called to security, they look into the security camera and found suspected two lady staff of the hospital. They told they look into the matter internally and ask them. We thought to let go the matter as we already paying a huge amount for surgey, we do not want to waste our time in this. So we move on for good with fortis.

              Complain no :2
              On 10/09/2022, when my mother was done with successful surgey after shifting in ICU, after 3 hours staff nurse told us there room alloted to someone else we are not going to shift you. Then my brother vikas sharma who is already in pharama ( AGM, INTAS, AHMEDABAD, was taking guidance from gyane team) told to nurse staff " how can you do this" and then with the help of coordinator asha mam we shifted to our room...how can they allot already alloted room?

              Complain 3:
              on 10/09/2022, 2:30-3:30 o'clock, my sister in law neelam sharma come to see her mother in law.(she is in Deutsch Bank, and two month pregnant and mother of two and half year old child). We told to Security guard Anita meena and we take the infection reaponsbility plus we take permission from Hr for child still she is push her and behave vulgurly and violently..her words was " ye tumhara gharwalo ka hospital nahi hain, kisne likh ke diya hain ye, mere upar koi nahi hain, mujhe kaun hain kehe wala" ..my brother told us to moved out from that place and go to home. This kind of behavior would not be tolerated.
              Compalin no 4:
              On 10/09/2022
              At approx 7:30 o'clock, we ask to provide a cotton boll for patient ears. Answer was given there is no cotton in the pharmacy. You have to adjust with the environment.
              After some minutes, my sister in law was there to see her mother in law, male nurse ( brother) says to her, " bacha yaha nahi baithega, waha nahi khada hoga, ye tumhara ghar nahi hain, ye bache wache yahan aise kaise laya tum" my brother vikas sharma instantly take action against him and reported his behavior.

              Complain no 5:
              On 10/09/2022 whole night my mother was slept on wet bed ( nurse staff dont even change their bed sheets) which is fulled with blood and some solution.

              Complain no 6:
              On 11/09/2022 morning 8 o'clock : your security guard again misbehave with me. I brought some bevarages ( tea and apple and I show them) because my brother was landed in night and because of the surgery he was there since morning 7:30 to whole day on 10/09/2022. he have gastric issue with outside food. I talked to rajveer sir in security they understand the issue and allow...if we need to talk always with them then they seriously fortis need guards with ill mannered.

              Complain no 7: on 11/09/2022: evening5:30 same your guard mis behave with my sister in law and with the baby and top of that your security incharge Rajender sir misbehave unethically and in appropriately even vulgar language to support their security guard pushy behavior.

              This is the hike of limits. We as a patient and familt not going to tolerate.
              Do this hospital female security staff and male nursing staff have hidden thoughts to misbehave with ladies and children and being an Senior there's reaponabilities is to listen calmly and look into for the humanitarian solution.

              But no he is just misvehave so vulgurly compare to all.

              This was a first experience with fortis and this is the pathetic days and people of my life.
              Hope for solution, so other one will not hamper

              One is free because we are CGHS ECHS( ARMY) employee but still we move to cash for better facilities.

              For your concern:-

              First of all thank you so much, we lost our trust on fortis but you make belives to trust you guys again..let's see.

              Second, as I already mention all the complain, they discharge on 13/09/2022 and on 12/09/2022 PWO contact us after the complain.

              PWO department reaction:-

              They feel apologize and try to sort out all the issue. They contact to the concern person and make a face to face interaction. We don't find our stolen money. They apologize for all scenario.

              Our reaction as a patient attender:-

              Sir/mam,
              As we already said we believe on move on, we raise this issue because we are at peak of dissatisfacation and intolerance.

              As we discharged from the hospital, I just want you to give some feedback so after us no one can go through by this experience and fortis strengthen its Goodwill for its best, so it's all upto you.

              Point 1:

              Kindly mention Patience welfare board sign so its visible to patient.

              Point 2:

              Many areas and rooms are there where cameras should be needed because many areas are hided ( not talking about feeding room)

              Point 3:
              Kindly make some humanatrian policy- ies, as we deal in hospitality sector:-

              Your security guard can kept a daily journal for attender who are taking bevarages and some light snacks...( because rely on canteen tea is actually a tough task for four -five day stay).

              You can make a attender signed copy for People who have children with them that they are responsible for any infection, because like my family have only two attender and she is pregnant with 2 and half year child..so tell me how we make it..so you can add this clause in your patient signed copy...it will be best for both hospital concern and patient concern...each and every one is responsible for there action.

              Kindly work on soft skills..specially security and nursing staff. Manner's are necessary when we dealing with people. Is it so hard to have some basic social attiquties and mannerism and top of all senior staff should deal as a midline between patient and staff management with transparency no partiality at all..

              You should understand and make them understand that without patient how can a hospital run...and as we know every sector have competition.

              Hope for the best...kindly work on these feedback...and make our trust believeable.

                My father Mr. Arjun Namdev Patil was discharged on 01.09.2022 from Fortis Mulund and i was supposed to get refund of Rs. 1, 03, 692. However it has been 6 days now still i haven't received refund. What is the time required for refunding the deposit amount? It is not possible to visit hospital as we stay far away.

                      This is regarding patient UHID 11105911, The Fortis Hospital Mulund has not remitted the excess amount of approximately 11 lac despite of constant chasers.

                      At the time of my wife's Bone marrow transplant they were not ready to continue the procedure without the full payment of the estimated amount however, after the operation the excess amount is not being remitted as they the amount is huge and received from different sources.

                      I respect their compliance procedure but it has been over 3 weeks and I have provided all the required documents but they are still refusing to transfer the amount, they must understand that I have to pay to my lenders and EMI for the amount I borrowed for my wife's treatment.

                      Request you to kindly look into the matter and have the amount transferred ASAP

                        This is to inform about the worst management of this hospital, where the nicu staff is working totally carelessly. We have been waiting for 4-5 hours for the discharge of our patient after getting approval from our insurance patner. At first the NICU staff said they have sent the baby bill to TPA but after 4-5 hours later when mother bill was aproved we got to know that they NICU staff has not sent the baby bill yet and bluntly saying that the bill has been sent without checking it. No responsibility and clearly no sense of duty they have.

                        Incharge of NICU was Sheeba and they were also refusing to tell her name first, after pushing the argument the have given this name.

                        Patient is suffering with lot of difficulty and all they are working as if doing there household jobs

                          I had made the payment for an online consultation with a doctor and the doctor didn't have the courtesy to show up or inform that she would be running late or would be unavailable! I asked for a refund, they didn't have the courtesy to respond or to issue a refund or even to reschedule the appointment!! JUST DON'T RELY ON THIS RIDICULOUS HOSPITAL FULL O[censored]NPROFESSIONALS. YOU NEVER KNOW YOUR PATIENT MIGHT DIE BEFORE THEY EVEN CARE TO RESPOND TO YOU, BEFORE THE DOCTORS CARE TO SHOW UP FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. THEY ARE ### THIEVES, JUST AFTER YOUR MONEY!!!                               Worst management ever seen in any hospital, without COVID test patient was in OT, medicine were issued and in last, they refused to operate.
                              Except doctor all staff behaviour was fully unprofessional and unacceptable. Full charge of medicine, room, physician etc taken. What a nice tactics to looted .
                              I am going to consumer court.

                                The person on my neighbour the bed is so loud and disturbing he is shouting all day long and is using abusive words
                                I am suffering from typhoid and not able to take proper rest because of him
                                There is no one on the reception and the staff is not helping the are saying we cannot help with it
                                At night also he is shouting talking very loudly

                                  We have booked for Twin sharing room as per our estimate but still Fortis admission dept transferred our patent from ICU to General ward and telling me that I still have to pay for Twin classic room.
                                  This is completely unacceptable and outrageous.
                                  I strongly complain against this and if I am being asked to still pay then I will lodge a complain in police station and also go to social media.
