[Resolved]  GoAir — About the refund which GO AIR customer support denied after I booked my flight within 1 hours

This is with regard to my booking I made with GO AIR today 10th Dec 2016 morning from Bangalore to Pune roundtrip.
26th Jan to 28th 2017 was my First Booking (which they said to makemytrip executive they will refund to me 100% so based on it within 1 hour I had to rebook the flight with different dates)
26th Jan to 30th 2017 was my Second Booking ( I booked immediately within 1 hour and when I called makemytrip and GO AIR to process my payment back they denied and said we can't refund )

Based on Saajan's update and conversation with GO AIR Farida I was advised to book another ticket with change in return tickets I did same as per his insturction within 1 hour. After booking my tickets again I followed with Makemytrip for refund so that they can help in transaction with GO AIR.

I spoke to Abhishek and he connected conferences call with another GO AIR agent after my second booking the lady totally denied my refund and she said I will charged for cancellation of my tickets and there will be no refund of money. I will not receive any refund for my bookings.

This something very weird, absurd, and worst customer service which GO AIR is giving she is saying mirror booking which I have not heard of anytime ...she totally denied my refund. I am now totally upset with the service they are giving I will definitely not recommend any one GO AIR and tell very clear the policy are not good and they making money very unethically and not even considering any valid reason if customer is having.

In service industry customer should be retained by good customer service experience and they will be repeat customers
but GO AIR is interested in having only one time customers.

Brand image will build up with repeat customers but with this kind of service they can make just policy one time and attract customers one time and no repeat customers will be there.

One day definitely GO-AIR AIRLINE will shut down if they continue to have such policy & services ... I will write negative comment on their website about their response and not recommend to anyone.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided on the website of Go-air and Makemytrip they say it is refundable but it totally non-refundable. The WORD REFUNDABLE is misleading.

I am not sure why the message was not communicated to me fully. I definitely need any answer from GO-AIR & Makemytrip on this.

I will share & escalate this email with all airlines so that they can know what GO-AIR is communicating and not serving correctly their ethically.

To follow up on my complaint Asma Saifi & Jameet Singh both supervisors from Makemytrip didn't help me inrefunding my money on the wrong information given by their colleague Sajan Anand post sales executive I lost Rs 16000. Asma & Jameet were ready to close the case and said they can't refund if Go Air doesn’t refund. You can check all my call recordings. It was purely Sajan Anand' s mistake conveyed wrong info to me.

I will not recommend Makemytrip & Go Air to any one. I will tell all please check your local travel agents to book tickets rather than believing these portal. They call number 1 portal but SAD it is not.

Every time I call from US to follow up on my they put me on hold more than 1 hour and never answered my calls. Makemytrip made sure customer gets frustrated with long holds.I called consecutively 5 days from 10th Dec to 15th Dec but Makemytrip didn't resolve the problem. They blamed Go Air but whereas Go Air clearly testified for the information they gave to Sajan Anand once Makemytrip learnt it was there mistake they started avoiding my calls. Standard answer they will give to any customers is please don't worry we will resolve your issue and give us 24 hours time to work on it.

BUT DON'T BELIEVE THEM. THEY WILL NEVER GET BACK TO YOU.THIS IS HARD FACT. I learnt worst, customer service Makemytrip is giving.

Within 3-4 working days, depending upon your bank's processing cycle the refund will get reflect in your original form of payment.

Hi Makemytrip & GoAir,

My registered number I can't access because I am travelling and your colleagues with whom I interacted they know about it.
I wanted a 100% refund for the booking I made but you cancelled my tickets without my consent from 26th Jan to 28th Jan and refund only Rs 996 and Rs 346 for two different PNR numbers which is not even 100% of total ticket cost I spent Rs 15814/- for 3 tickets round-trip. How about the remaining money will it be refunded. I would like to know about the balance amount.

Finally, I got my refund after following up for 10 days consecutively. I would like to suggest Go Air team you need to be more professional in handling calls when the partners approach with a problem on booking. All call recordings which you have with customers or partners are subject to public disclosure on request there is nothing wrong in doing business straight and clear but you denied when asked for call recordings only testified the conversation between Farida and Sajan Anand this shows unprofessional way of business.

Go Air your policy regarding refundable needs to be clearer it should not apply to all customers same. Now a days we use TABs, apps computer etc for booking and if they internet or data connectivity is slow or portal select the dates wrongly while booking and the ticket is generated wrongly with wrong date as in my case you denied refund for mistakes happened with connectivity problems. You should at least have some flexibility to change the tickets and this change is applicable only before 5 days their travel. Unlike in my case within 40 minutes from my booking your denied my refund when portal selected wrong dates it was almost Rs16000/-. You were not at all flexible and obliged to what I said or Makemytrip explained rather you blamed Sajan Anand, Makemytrip executive for his understanding. As customer, you explained me jargons, which was not relevant to me. Policies are there to help customers and business but Go Air policies are there only to help them not customers it is only one-sided policy not mutual policy at all. I appreciate to be more co-operative with partners-Makemytrip and customers to generate more business rather than losing business.

Makemytrip team no doubt in this whole scenario if I have to appreciate someone then it is Sajan Anand. He not only responded on my case, responded to all my concerns and only one executive who reverted back to me thrice and assured me case will be resolved after my repeated follow up. Excellent job Sajan Anand . Definitely after Meenu Saini started working on my case things started moving and I got the refund . I truly appreciate only Sajan Anand & Meenu Saini for the whole process and working on my case.

I am disappointed with Asma Saifi and Jasmeet Singh behavior being supervisor for Makemy trip they need to have product knowledge and need to know how speak to customers but they sounded more frustrated and irritated employees with their rude talks, lack of professionalism, putting customers on long hold, lack of follow-through, not resolving a complaint both Asma and Jasmeet wanted to close the case before it was resolved. Jasmeet bluntly said if Go-Air refunds we will refund otherwise we will not. Asma even knew I was calling one day at 10:00am she made herself not available for the call and asked other executive to take that call this attitude shows the irresponsible behavior towards customers and when I insisted I want speak to her she made we wait more 1 hour and every day all 8 days I used to call internationally because I am travelling. Asma never even had courtesy to reply at least with an email if she can’t call back on my international number.

Makemytrip revise your business policy with partners and provide better training for your sales executives better on product and handling customers, they should know how to de-escalate and de-stress the frustrated customers in stressful, demanding and changing business need environment.

I would like to appreciate and thank only Sajan Anand and Meenu Saini or any one who was involved in resolving my case.

Please note that we tried to connect you twice on your registered contact number on that day and today also but the call got disconnected.

Also please note that the bookings has been cancelled with full refund for both bookings.
The applicable refund for both bookings has been initiated, within 3-4 working days depending upon your bank's processing cycle the refund will get reflect in your bank's account.
Also note that you need to get in touch with your bank's ATM CELL Department to trace the refund amount.
