I have bought a Godrej 5 star rated Air conditioner from Vasanth & Co, Mylapore about 2 months back. There is a free Electric Oven Offer. After paying the bill amount, I was told that the Oven is not available and will be given later. I said this need to be told even before my paying the bill, still OK.
The AC unit was installed at my home by the technicians. When they left, I found that temperature control was not functioning. Also I found that the installation was not done properly. A cap used for fixing to the wall where the tube goes out of the wall to the fan was not fixed. The insulation tape work was half done. I informed the concerned the next day.
The technician who came the next day was another person. He rectified the temperature problem. When asked the reason, he informed that connection was wrongly given. (The previous day after installation, the technicians were testing for half an hour after installation. My doubt is that, "Did they go away knowing that there is a fault?") About the insulation tape, he said that he has not brought and will attend to it later, though we told him on phone before starting.
We went on calling the technician requesting him to fix the tape. Till date, no action is taken. We finally stopped calling him.
We also went on calling Vasanth & Co to check whether Oven has come. Their only reply is " No". We have also asked them to refund the money for the Oven. They are not in a position to do that.
Added to this, I got a call from the Service Centre today morning. They asked whether they can send some one for the first service. I told them about the tape fixing which is not done. Their reply was, "You Pay and the service man fixes it". My head went spinning. It is not about the small amount. It is about some thing which is not done at all, when the item was delivered and installed. The installation charges were already paid, but work not completed.
Can some one tell me what I need to do?
