I have invested Rs. 5, 000/- in above Company, vide their Receipt-Cum-Allotment Letter No. 97/45180 dtd. 30.04.1997. In reply to my investment, Company has issued me Account Payee Cheque No. 0067448 dtd. 18.03.2002 for Rs. 15, 000/- o[censored]nion Bank of India, Chandigarh.

On maturity date, i.e. 18.03.2002, I had presented the said Cheque in my Saving Bank A/c No. [protected]-2 at State Bank of India, Industrial Estate Branch (01456), Makarpura, Baroda 390 010 (Gujarat). But after some days, Bank had retuned the Cheque with Debit Note Rs. 64/- due to in sufficient balance in Payee’s Account No. 17021.

The cheque was deposited to STATE BANK OF PATIALA, KYDGANJ, ALLAHABAD for realisation on due date, but the same was returned to me due to non realisation by the CANARA BANK due to CLOSED ACCOUNT. Now it is a great problem to all investers to get the matured value from the company.
Kindly suggest what procedure shall be adopted to get the money back from the said company.

acordingly the company had issued recpit com alotment letter and a post dated cheque of. rs.30000/= each in favour of my parents as bellow details.

1.allotment letter No. AP 97/43425 and 97/ 43495 dt28/04/1997 s.t.no AP97-4228/999982 and AP97-4151/999982 dt.26/04/1997

2.We got two cheques .no.064373 dt.22/03/2002 o[censored]nion Bank of India, Sec-35C Chandigarh.

Sir i deposited both cheques in respective A/C but these cheques got bounced and the reason was as below:
RETURNED UNPAID FOR REASONS:

1) Refer to drawer in view of Failure/ default of golden projects Ltd to comply with order dated 17th March, 1998 of Hon'ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in CWP No. 18167/97 Subject to which we can entertain the cheques of investors for encashment.

2) List not provided by Golden Projects Limited.

I am very much surprised that why Consumer Court and RBI are keeping mum on this matter since 1998. Is it like anyone can make a company with great marketing plan and wipe out common man's hard earn money so easily. Is India really largest democratic country... Hoping for positive response.

Golden Forests India — Non payment of maturity amount.

I have invested Rs 1000 in this company on dated 09/12/95. My receipt no. Is 95/178295 Zone-3. Let me know how can I get the maturity amount.

This company had taken money from me on[protected] and had requested me to give my money with more interest on[protected] . But around twelve years back we come to know that this company is closed . But now as the name of the company is coming into the newspapers and also on net so i think taht i can get my money back so i request the owner of golden forest company to give back my money. We have helped the company in their bad time and helped them to purchase their place for the company.

I would like to bring to your notice that a company called Infinity Global infra Pvt.Ltd, who are trying to gather consumers that have invested in Golden forest pvt ltd. are trying to scam the members saying they will collect the so called money that may be released to the investors of golden forest and distribute it to their members. It is all done without any written documents to the investors assuring their money back to them. I would kindly request the government and the consumers to kindly bring in to the notice and to not to get into another scam. As cross checked this company Infinity Global doesn't seem to exist anywhere its a scam and an hypothetical possibility of assuring distributing money to Golden forest investors. I plead the government and the people take a legal action on such scams.

I have deposited 1 Lakh 50000 rupees in golden forest india limited in the years from 1996 to 1999. in year 2000 when company stopped its normal function and case was under supreme courts of india, then all the original papers were submitted to committee under RN agrawal ( retd supreme court Judge), Now almost 10 years passed but there is no refund made by the committee. I wanted to ask whether hard money of the investors shall be paid back. Once company is having land and other assets worth 10000 crores it is very easy to sell off by open offer to companies like Reliance, Tata etc to pay back money. Please do the need full at the earliest.
There is no information published about status of the case. so I request that at least information about status may be published once in a year.

what could lead to one of the biggest land transactions in the country, the Supreme Court will hear on September 16 two companies who have put in bids to acquire the entire land assets of the infamous Golden Forest India (GFIL) which is under liquidation. These two companies are Vavasi Group promoted by National Knowledge Commission chairman Sam Pitroda, and the Delhi-based real estate firm Chadha Group.

“We have received applications from these two companies for the takeover of all the assets of Golden Forests. As long as we manage to raise Rs 2, 000 crore, which would benefit GFIL investors, we have no objection, ” Justice RN Agarwal (Retd), chairman of the Supreme Court-appointed committee to sell Golden Forests assets told from Chandigarh. GFIL’s land assets are spread across Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh.

“We have forwarded these applications to the Supreme Court, which is expected to take up the matter in its next hearing on September 16, ” Mr Agarwal said. The bids are far more than Rs 2, 000 crore of current liabilities which includes interest of the defunct company, Mr Agarwal said.

The former judge said that nearly 110 companies, which were floated by GFIL to buy land across the country, will need to be merged with the parent company first so that a bidder can take over the land bank. “This is quite complicated… a lot of legal formalities need to be completed first, ” he added.

Analysts said the land bank of around 12, 000 acre is approximately valued at Rs 5, 000 crore. “We have managed to sell some small portions of GFIL’s land and have received part payment. This will also need to be ratified by the Supreme Court, along with Vavasi and Chadha groups’ applications, ” he said.

Golden Forest India made news in the mid-nineties when the company raised funds worth Rs 1, 000 crore from over 22 lakh investors across 11 states to invest in plantation schemes. But it soon defaulted on payments to the investors. So, Sebi — which bought all plantation schemes under its purview in 1997 — moved court and initiated proceedings against the company’s promoters led by its chairman R K Syal.

As the case against the company was heard across various courts, the matter was finally transferred to the Supreme Court. Four years ago, the apex court appointed a committee under the chairmanship of retired chief justice RN. Aggarwal, with two members, one each from the Reserve Bank of India and Sebi, for the purpose of taking into custody all the assets of Golden Forest and calling for claims of creditors and scrutinizing them. The court later asked the committee to auction all the assets of the company so that the investors could be repaid.

A banker told that Vavasi is doing a due diligence of GFIL’s assets and talking to various banks to raise funds required for taking over GFIL’s assets. A questionnaire sent to Mr Pitroda went unanswered.

My only question and comment about it is, will the amount invested in GFIL by my father who is a senior citizen now will do any good for his grandchildren atleast ??
Will you issue a list of the persons registered for the claim, so that atleast the investors will be sured that he is included in the list also display the amount which will be paid to him when the Honb. Supreme Court is ready to do that.

More than 12 years are over since I had invested Rs 3 lakh in Golden Forest. There is no news what the committee appointed by Suprem Court is doing about refund to the investors.Out of collected amount big portion has been consumed by the members of the committee as salaries and establishment. In the mean time many of the investors might have died.It seems that the entire fund collected by the members of the committee from the lands of Golden Forest will go to the members in stead of to the investors. My father had deposited 1 Lakh 50000 rupees in golden forest india limited in the years from 1996 to 1999. in year 2000 when company stopped its normal function and case was under supreme courts of india, , Now almost 15 years passed but there is no refund made by the committee. I wanted to ask whether hard money of the investors shall be paid back. Once company is having land and other assets worth 10000 crores it is very easy to sell off by open offer to companies like Reliance, Tata etc to pay back money. Please do the need full at the earliest.

I and my many friends had invested various sums during 1992 to 1996 in GFIL. In 2000 the company busted leading to a number of court cases in various High Courts of India leading to final hearing in the Supreme Court of India who appointed a Committee to settle the issue. It is since 10 years and we have not heard anything. SEBI keeps mum and directs all queries to the Committee whereas the Committee is in shadows not releasing any public information. The Courts of the country at least should look into the long pending issue of mismanagement of public money and incation of the judicial committee. Thousands of companies looted and vanished except GFIL was caught due to its sheer size and volume. But now we are sitting with our fingers crossed. Perhaps the Consumer Complaints Forum may do the needful in this regards.

I have invested three different amount of rupees in your company Golden Forest (India) limited within 1995 - 96 ( in our Kolkata Branch, West Bengal ) for the maturity of Rs2000 in22/08/1999, Rs5000 in 18/07/2007, Rs.222000.00 in the 22/05/2020 ( Cheque & all the documents are with me). I here by requsting you to be kind to infrom me about the company statue at my mail and get the infrome that, I' ll able to hold the maturity at that time or not? Where should I complain ?

sir, I have invested one and half lakh rupees in M/s GFIL Ltd., Chandigarh, for three years term in the year 1996 and it should be returned to me in the year 1999 September. But till today there is no any kind of information even though I have given complaints to the Company authorities. Sir, I am very poor and I want to perform my daughter's marriage in the month of February, 2011. Hence, I request you kindly advise the concerned to send my money atleast in the month of January, 2011. I shall be more grateful to you for ever.

I HAVE INVESTED Rs.1000 IN THE YEAR 1996 AND MY RELATIVES ARE ALSO INVESTED 10,000 AROURND BUT IN 2000 YEARS SEBI CLOSED THE COMPANY AND COMMINTS TO RETURN ALL INVESTORS REAL MONEY BUT TILL NOW THEY ARE NOT RECEIVED AND GOVT PLAY THE GAME AGAINST THE INVESTORS THEY TOLD SUPREME COURT CASE SOLVE AND THE REFUND OUR MONEY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT WE ARE EAGERLY WAIT WHEN WE RECEIVED THE MONEY I AM 19 YEARS OLD NOW I NEED MONEY FOR MY MARRIAGE I HAVE NO OTHER SOURCE TO INCOME PLEASE DO IT EARLY OTHER WISE I WILL NOT IN THE WORLD WHEN THEY REFUND MY INVEST. My amount maturity date is 23 January 2001 under enrolment no - 230440

But till the date I have not received my amount of Rs - 20000/-

So, you are requested to help me to receive my amount as much as possible.
