I purchased a Electrolux washing machine from Great Eastern Gorabazar DumDum on 15.03.2015. after few days I realized that it makes a lot of noise and vibrate severely during wash. SO I went to your shop to replace that as it is a brand new machine. But your salesman was very rude and refused to replace and asked to contact the manufacturer. I told him that it is done and the manufacturer declared that it is due to faulty parts inside. But you salesman behaved like a complete unprofessional and refused a loyal customer of your company from where I have already purchased goods of nearly 60 thousands in last one year. It has actually taken away all my trust from Great Eastern as this company has become desperate to make profit even by cheating their permanent customers. I will definitely take this to consumer court and newspaper.

    Dear Sir, 26/04/2015 Please treat this letter as a complaint, lodged out of immense dissatisfaction and frustration as an outcome o[censored]nethical dealings of your Narendrapur Sales Outlet. I purchased one Air conditioner of Daikin make from your captioned sales outlet/showroom vide bill No MCM/0013 dated 02/04/2015. I made the payment in full, at one go, on the very same day but since the choice model was not available at the showroom, delivery of the machine was assured to be made on the very next day i.e on 03/04/2015. As the machine was not delivered on the next day when contacted, I was told that delivery is not possible since the machine has not been received from the go-down. I was assured that the machine will be received within a day or two and be kept at the showroom and necessary arrangement will be made for delivery and installation at my request. Since I have very busy schedule at office I found it extremely difficult to pursue the matter with your Showroom. In view of the non Banking day on 25/04/2015, due to Corporation Election, I found this to be a great opportunity to get the installation done. Accordingly, I made a phone call to your sales team on 18/04/2015 and continuously for next 3-4 days requesting them to arrange for supply and installation between 24/4/2015 to 26/04/2015. To my utter surprise, despite full payment made one month beforehand, I was flatly refused and told that delivery of machine is not possible within next two weeks. That too, was told in a tone without any assurance of supply even thereafter in near future. When I strongly objected and mentioned having made full payment one month before they very reluctantly assured me supply and asked me to take up the matter with the Daikin company for installation. On 23rd of April while my wife was awaiting for delivery of the machine we again received a phone call from the showroom asking me to visit their office with the original invoice. They refused to supply the selected model and intended to change the model against additional payment and changing the original invoice, which I refused. Next two days I didn’t receive any communication from your above mentioned office. My wife once again received a phone call on 26/04/2015 again asking me to visit their office with the original bill for necessary changes and extra payment as per their sweet will. Till now I had been a very regular and satisfied customer of your reputed concern and various outlets of your company have always been my favoured destination. However, such unethical behavior from your Narendrapur outlet has been a matter of tremendous shock and a matter o[censored]tter disbelief to me. I take strong objection to their unethical business deal. More than the mere arrangement for supply of the machine I need a clear clarification for this short o[censored]nethical affair.       I bought a Water Heater of Bajaj on 23rd January 2014 from Great eastern Howrah Salkia. The manager has assured a delivery with in 20 mins .But after an hour I called the reception as I did not the delivery by that time. After repetitive calls to the reception I was told it was delivered & will be received soon. After another half an hour spent without receiving the product my father went to the shop himself and found that the Geyser which was bought by me was still left at the same place being untouched when I bought the product. This is very insulting an frustrating to have a response like this from an organization like Great eastern. The receptionist was lying each time I called. Not satisfying the customer benefits as per organization rules Please kindly look into the matter with urgency for the reputation of your company else this needs to be escalated to a higher authority

        We have purchased one Water Heater (Make : JAIPAN) from your showroom at 102 Diamond Harbour Road, Kolkata 34 on 10.01.13. The Water Heater is out of order for more than 3 months. Despite making repeated phone calls (at least 60-70 times) to your showroom not a single person has visited our place to repair the same, although on each & every occasion it was assured that the problem would be looked into within ‘next 24 hours’. On 21.09.13 we visited the showroom personally and lodged complaint with the in-charge of the showroom. He took a copy of the cash memo and assured us that he would make arrangement for its repairing immediately. More than 72 hours have elapse since then, the problem remains absolutely unattended. We are now going to lodge complaint with the Consumer Forum claiming adequate compensation for deficiency of service on your part.

          On 31-Mar-2013, I have purchased Godrej AC Model "GSC 18 FG 5 WMG' 1.5 ton 5 Star Rating model from Great Eastern Appliances - Kamarhati branch. Till now I didn't get that AC model delivered. On 7-April-13, I am informed by the Kamarhati Branch that AC model is "OUT OF STOCK", At least 15 - 20 days will take to deliver the model.
          This is thoroughly unfortunate and total senseless attitude towards the consumer. Kindly take the proper step to get the job done.

              i, Saharsh Chauhan, had been buying all my home appliances including refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and TV from great eastern appliances and have never faced any such complain before. even i referred it many of my friends and relatives who were also benefited and impressed with the charges. there must be something more to this problem and there must be a communication gap which resulted in such confusion. even in case of buying a digital camera last month i had to replace it because there was a scratch and it was done quite swiftly. i atleast is quite satisfied with their consumer service and refer this to all. You can connect to their facebook page which is also a mode of better connection.

              It is with great agony that i wish to bring to your kind notice the callousnes shown by your employee of your showroom.I as a customer o[censored]r company and i had purchase a panasonic 1.5 ton 3 star split A.C from great eastern Chinsurah Khadinamore branch. My cash memo no is-16/1213/21369 but the goods are not delivered for last six days and in spite of several reminders no action has been taken yet by your men.it is really surprising that such an efficient company as that of yours is not heeding to our complaints.please get the needful done at the earliest.
              I have every hope that you will take a prompt action and oblige.

And the sales person assured me to give a gift hamper i.e a toaster and i have a written proof for that sir/mam. I have bought the product on[protected]. Address of the company is Shop no-2, green view, HSG, BL-D, 27/1, B.T. Road, LP-145/10, kolkata-700058, phone number[protected]. The sales person told me to call him after 1 week that is on[protected]. When i called him he told that the offer is over bt the time of purchasing he didn't told me about these thing. And told me to call him next day again when i called him today he miss-behaved with me and told me to do whatever i want or whatever i wish to do. They are not even scared of consumer court.                 hi i am harshit pandiya and i had availed this offer as well. there was no problem regarding my gift and i too won a toaster. i had asked the last date of the offer regarding this gift and told me to call within a week probably for claiming the gift. the day of the call would be within the limit period of the offer. As per told by the salesman i did gave a call and they told me whether i want it to be dropped in the house or would i collect from the shop. i choose the later and got the gift. It was a toaster as well. i have been buying most of my home appliances from great eastern and have never heard of such complains before as they are very careful regarding this. I think you have called way after the offer was over not noting the details.

                  im aarav patel and i too faced a similar problem. i contacted their quality control officer Monica Bhagat which i got from the shop. the best place to put your complain is in their face book page where they get to you quite fast and try to resolve the issue. Since great eastern is one of the largest selling electronic shops there may be some misunderstanding, specially because this offer was availed by many of friends and relatives as well.

                    Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd — late delivery

                    I had bought a videocon microwave model no vj 25csl4 (25 lt) from greast eastern, kankurgachi on 03/11/2010 paying full amount. They promised to deliver it on 06/11/2010. But till 13/11/2010 they have not deliver it. when they were contacted on 12/11/10 they refused to respond properly. Even they are not mentioning the date when they can deliver it. THEIR TREATMENT TO US IS VERY INSULTING AS WELL. PLEASE HELP ME OUT BY TAKING PROPER ACTION AGAINST THEM.

                    I, ABHISHEK GHOSH address-HATPUKUR, RAMRAJATALA, HOWRAH-711 112, Ph no [protected], purchased one ONIDA LED T.V. (32 inchs) from GREAT EASTERN APPLIANCES PVT.LTD 290, G.T.Road, Kazipara More, Howrah-711 102, Ph[protected]/85, Fax[protected] on 09/07/2011.At the time of purchase the salesman MADAN convinced me to purchase ONIDA. Now on 04/09/2011 the T.V. became stopped, no picture, no sound.I At once contact MADAN at his mobile no.[protected].He asked me to contact the ONIDA Company and I as per his advice contacted ONIDA at ph. no 3988 9000. They give me a complain no. [protected]. On the next day i.e. 5/9/2011 one of their technician namely TARAK NATH BAG ( Mob no. [protected]) came to my home and after checking the TV he said that the MOTHER BOARD of the TV is out of order. On his report pad I Wrote that I do not want any repair I want replacement of my set as because the set has become out of order within a very short period of only one and half month and I have purchased it for Rs.29990.00(cash memo no. HW/CM/02294/11-12 DT.[protected] which is a big amount to me.On the next day 6/9/2011 I went to the shop and they denied to change the set as also they began to make ill behave with me.They hand over me a phone to some ONIDA official namely SUBASH at ph no.[protected] who said me that they only repair the set by changing the mother board. I did not agree with him and said him that the set will stay defected so I can not accept it.Then he threatened me by saying "You can do whatever you can we shall not change your set" and cut the line. Then in the shop, one hoodlum declared himself as he is the Manager although earlier all others said that manager is absent, and began to threaten me.Under such circumstances I returned home and is complaining for the total incident and also for replacement of my T.V. set.
                    i, Saharsh Chauhan, had been buying all my home appliances including refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and TV from great eastern appliances and have never faced any such complain before. even i referred it many of my friends and relatives who were also benefited and impressed with the charges. there must be something more to this problem and there must be a communication gap which resulted in such confusion. even in case of buying a digital camera last month i had to replace it because there was a scratch and it was done quite swiftly. i atleast is quite satisfied with their consumer service and refer this to all. You can connect to their facebook page which is also a mode of better connection.
                    i also bought a refrigerator just before the pujas and i wanted it to be delivered two days before mahalaya as it was considered auspicious. I had mentioned it during the billing and also called the shop the day before the delivery and on the morning of the delivery. It did come on time. During festive seasons like Id or durga puja there is always a rush. they have now opened a facebook page where these complains are dealt quite quickly. i hope to avail the facebook connectivity in future.

                      Made instant payment to buy one Air Conditioner from Grest Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd. at Dalhouse, Kolkata with a delivery date after 2 days but on non delivery in time called in the given numbers, none picked the phone and later visited the shop, they assured that the article will be delivered next day but after 2 more days not yet received the product. None is available in phone too.

                      Would like to advise others to have a lesson from my sufferrings.

                        I have purchased a Videocon Refrigerator yesterday from Great Eastern vide Bill No 0563 dt 25/05/2011 & to my surprise it was delivered to me today evening (though defective) instead of tomorrow as per promised. But when I installed the the appliance, I found that the light inside is not working. I tried to contact them over the telephone to all their numbers available on their bill as well as over the internet but not a single call was answered. I am tired of contacting them but finally gave up. I never expected such a poor service from such a so called reputed firm.

                          Godrej 230 litres Refrigerator not yet delivered till now,after lapse of a considerable period.
                          Even there are not attending Land telephone...which is regrated.

                          i am bhumika and i too had bought my AC refrigerator and washing machine from great eastern. among them the first two i bought it together. the salesman told me that there the delivery would be within a week. it had come on the 6th day of the purchase. when i called up before the delivery they said that during the summers specially April, there is a huge demand and sell of fridge and AC owing to which they club different buys together and go dropping to the respective customers one by one which sometimes take a bit of time.
                          just to note they have a facebook page where anyone can actually post their complain which get answered fast.

                            Purchased a new LCD TV(66 Cm.) from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata ,which delivered more than 24 hours late and this is still not installed even after 4 days. Therefore it will reduce the effective warranty in that case. Also their bill does not produce the VAT amount which I think is very important for any Customer.

                            Paid Purchase price for a color 32" LCD (Sony) and an AC (Onida) on 24/12/2012 to your Tollygung Branch and requested them to deliver the goods on 01/02/2012 and depute a surveyor on 31/01/2012 to identify proper place for the AC. We were not at station on earlier days. In fact the surveyor came on 01/02/2012 at 5.30 PM and told me that he has only been asked today to come. The AC & TV has only been delivered tonight at 11.30PM (Night). We live in a Housing Complex where entry after 10.00 PM is restricted and I have faced harassment. I had been told over phone at 3.00 PM today that the goods are being dispatched to me.. This is for complete negligient attitude towards customers. The Branch and my residence is, by rikshaw, only 15 minutes away. This is not an accepted approach towards customer. Thanking you in anticipation. ---Jyotirmoy Hazra

                              Sir,

                              I, AK Halder, residing at 604 Rail Vihar Kolkata had purchased a refrigerator from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt Ltd on full payment basis on 03 Nov 10. It was conveyed by the manager of the showroom that the product will be delivered on the same day itself, but it was never done. On inquiring about the same it was told that there was some communication gap and fault from the company and it will be delivered positively by 04 Nov 10. But the company was at defaulter and the refrigerator has not been delivered till date. I want to lodge a complaint against the company for not delivering the item on time inspite of taking the full payment.

                                A refrigerator whose description is SAMSUNG RT-29 YBUX1 REF/ 285 LTR was bought from the company stated above on 23th may,2010.
                                Since then small problems like loose door,loose ice-tray cited up but being fixed by the technician provided by "Great Eastern Appliances".
                                but lastly their technician detected that the compressor in this newly bought refrigerator is out of order;from then onwards unfortunately and illegally he along with the "Great Eastern Appliances" officials have been pressuring us to let us repair our refrigerator inspite of the fact that the compressor part of refrigerator carries a warranty of 60 months(as per samsung rules and regulations).
                                I want an immediate replacement of this defective refrigerator and put to an end to our further harassment.

                                  I HAVE PURCHASED A PHILIPS MAKE DVD PLAYER(MODEL-DVP3336X/94) FROM GREAT EASTERN APPLIANCES PVT. LTD.(41,N.S.C. BOSE ROAD, KOLKATA-700040) ON 10/06/2010 WITH CASH MEMO NO TG/CM/01426/10-11. BUT I HAVE BEEN MISGUIDED BY SHOP SUPER-VISOR MR. BOSE THAT THIS MODEL WILL BEST SUITE TO ME AS PER MY REQUIREMENT. BUT I HAD CHECKED IN MY HOUSE WITH MPEG4 CD/DVD AND FOUND NOT SUPPORTING THIS FORMAT. I WENT TO HIM FOR A REPLACEMENT AS PER MY REQUIREMENT WHICH HE DID NOT AGGREE AND SAID "GOODS ONCE SOLD CAN'T BE REPLACED/EXCHANGED. SO THIS DVD PALYER IS GOOD FOR NOTHING TO ME NOW.
                                  PLEASE HELP ME TO GET IT REPALCED AT THE EARLIEST AND TAKE SOME ACTIONS AGAINST THE AFORE SAID SHOP SO THAT NO CONSUMER WILL BE HARASSED IN FUTURE.

                                    Physically visited shop on Wednesday evening. Was promised for delivery by today. Still not delivered today. Not reachable on phone either.
                                    This extreme case of customer dissatisfaction & consumer rights going awry.
                                    If not paid attention yet, I'll reach highest escalation matrx!!

                                      I purchased "Glen 8010 Dry Iron' on dtd. 28.02.08 from Great Eastern Appliances Pvt. Ltd, 290.G.T.Road, kazipara More, Howrah - 711102.
                                      when Iron started to given problem, I contanct to Seller (G.E.A Pvt ltd) for servicing/repairing in last week.They refused to repair it & they said its service period was over, but as per Warrenty card it is clearly written that it is within 2 years from date of purchase.

                                      Requested to take immediate needful action.

                                      I very regretfully like to mention that your service system is not to the mark. I had purchase a Godrej GMC 30E09 BLGX MWO (micro oven) memo no.DH/CM/15723/09-10 dated 25.01.2010.

                                      I had made a complain and the same was noted by your Nikita on 29.01.2010.but still after several telephonic complains no one has turned up to assist the problem.

                                      I have been seeing the advertisement in the Media against the Diwali scheme being announced by Great Eastern. Since I noticed the scheme is attractive (10 Ltrs. AO Smith Water Heater with 1 OTG and Dry Iron with an Offer price of Rs.5990/-) I had gone ahead and booked for one. However, when contacted they were telling it is Jaipan Heater and not AO Smith. How can a company of Great Eastern repute do such cheap selling tactics in a peak selling season. You have been releasing this advertisement clearly projecting AO Smith Heater in the ads repeatedly. Like many other customers I am also cheated now as I had given up another lucrative offer of someone else and opted for this. Now, please let me how are you going to compensate my damages immediately failing which I will be forced to take up this issue with suitable forums apart from giving sufficient media coverage.
