Hi All,
I bought a Haier fridge in 2008, by liking the bottom freezer design. After 6 years it stopped working, they said your fridge is out of warranty and compressor needs to be changed.
They replaced the compressor at nearly Rs 7000 in May 2014, which includes visit charges of Rs 400 apart from service charges. On the receipt they write 6 months warranty for compressor.
The people who replaced the compressor were extremely non-professional, they fitted the compressor within 45 min and went off, they demanded us giving them the old compressor. which we did not agree for.
The way they filled the gas in a hurry, it was badly handled, later when I see, the connecting tubes have been all bent off. I doubt this is purposely done to block the gas passage.
As doubted, withIn 2 months, again the fridge stopped working. When we complain they ask first the visit charge of Rs 400/-. They don't even bother to own their mis-handling which resulted in this problem again with in 2 months.
Finally one person turned up and he says this time gas leaked off, so you have to pay Rs 2500 or so. He argues warranty is only for compressor and not gas filling. We refused.
I doubt Haier is given up on its business in India., and just to avoid govt fining the company they are running the customer care for namesake, with all these contractors, who loot the customers in the name of Haier.
When I look at internet, I see all fridge companies are resorting to this cheating, including some Indian ones. I think it is high time, our consumer care is improved and take up on these companies and fine them heavily.
I sincerely hope after seeing this complaint Haier, comes down to my home in another 2 days with a new compressor and gets it fixed properly at free of cost.

Haier Appliances India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
I have complained about a washing machine in May 2014 with complaint number KO[protected], under my husband's name, Mr Abhishek Kumar. One person visited my house after a week ihnforming that dryer's motor needs to be replaced. As my Washing Machine is under warranty period. We were waiting for him for almost 3 weeks, no one came, and his phone was also switched off, so couldnt contact.
Later on we called up again to Customer care asking for help, this time someone came and informed that it will be corrected in one week maximum. and he informed that as the previous guy left the job they cancelled the complaint !!!
He gave me another complaint number as KO [protected], which is also pending.
I called up again to ask about the same after a wk, a lady picked up and informed that she has informed it to her seniors so the problem will be corrected in 24hrs. After which I again called your customer care where I was informed that we cannot do anything from your phone complaint, please write to us!!!
Now, who so ever is reading this email, please tell me how many more times do I need to call you to get ONE washing machine fixed. It has been 3 months and there has been such a bad service given to us from your company, for which I will never recomend anyone to buy your product.
I am tiered of contacting you again and again, I want my Washing Machine fixed ASAP. How can you do such thing. This is a irresponsible behaviour from your company. Pathetic service has been given to us. I want an immediate action on this. Also at this time you should give me service recovery as because I bought a machine from you I have no other option to wash my clothes.
Your call centre says managers is not availble, what do you think your customer is an .!! no one does anything, pathetic, lazy people. I have attached the screen shot for written complaint done, still no action.
