I booked a bus ticket from Indore to Pune for 3rd May 2012, scheduled to depart at 5:30 pm. The bus was to pass from Nashik Phata (near Pune) and my seat no. was 4 (single birth).
When I was about to leave for the bus stand around 4:45 pm I got a call from the travel agency stating that "the 5:30 pm has been cancelled, and I'll have to board the 7 pm bus".
When I asked them the reason they said "the bus broke" and I was intimated about the same only 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.
I later came to know that instead of getting the single birth I opted for my birth had been changed (sharing) and the bus was to via some other route (not the one where I wanted to get down).
When I requested the travel agency people to give the seat I booked or at least go via the route which the bus was supposed to go, the person refused.
He not only misbehaved with me but with other passengers as well.
Now when I am paying 1500 bucks for an overnight bus journey, and even after booking the ticket on time I get such a service it's not acceptable.
The owner of the travel agency instead of accepting his fault was yelling at us. He even went to the extent of saying "Aapki galti hain jo aapne ticket book karae, aapko jana hain ya nahi?"

    I have booked ticket at Rs 1250 in VOLVO sleeper bus for my mother dated on 21-Apr-2010. Joueney was around 14 hrs and bus got damaged in between after 6 hrs. Then Hans driver sent her by non-ac sleeper coach after 2 hours of stop because they can not repair in between. Now they have charged me for Volvo AC sleeper bus and sent her by non ac bus. She faced so many problems because of their fault. Now they are not refunding extra money what they have charged. We want refund of that money as this is not our fault and she didn't get facilty for which we got charged.

      I have booked ticket from MHOW to Pune on 8 Aug 2009 for journey on 9 Aug 2009 at 20:45 Hrs. When i reached to travel agent at 20:00 Hrs, i was told that the the bus will be arriving at 21:15. My ticket number is 36062.

      After making repeated calls i was told that there is a delay due to one of the late coming passenger.
      Later on i was told at 22:30 Hrs that bus has been cancelled and money can be refundable only next day morning.

      The travel agent was washing his hands by just saying me to call the office of Hans Travels. When i called to Hans travels, he was escaping by just throwing the ball into Travel agents courts. In this blame game ultimately i was the sufferer.

      I was suppose to attend office on 10 Aug 2009 for an important assignment, but due to this cancellation without any alternate arrangment i have suffered personally, proffesionaly & financially.

      It is very difficult for a non local person to get an alternate arrangement at 22:30 Hrs & who needs to attend the office for an important assignment.

      In this regard i expect the Hans Travels to pay me the proportionate compensation & proper action to be taken against the concerned involved.

        Travel buses are still using old highway routes just to save few liters of fuel, at the time of booking i was promised that route will be nh4 i.e burhanpur highway. But the bus followed the old route, it also crossed a bridge where heavy vehicals were not allowed. After covering few kilometers the conductor was driving the bus, this is totally insane. when passengers questioned about the route, the driver said no one bothers me.
        I request consumer forum to take some serious action against them, these people are risking our life.
