Hello,
My name is proloy das, holding the policy #:[protected]/1.
I applied for a credit card from hdfc. Soon after, i received my card, i got a call from hdfc ergo stating that i will have to buy an insurance from hdfc ergo, otherwise my card will get cancelled. I was told that it was a mandatory purchase, or else, my credit card will become invalid within 3 months. So even if i did not want to purchase the insurance, i was compelled to purchase it.
Also, the insurance agent said that i will get a call from some other 3rd party agency to verify if i want to purchase the insurance or not. I was specifically warned that if i do not say "yes", i will not get the insurance and my card will become invalid soon. So i did exactly as i was instructed. And i was informed that it will be a lifetime coverage.
Now, today, all of a sudden, when i was speaking to my relationship manager from hdfc, i came to know that it was not mandatory for my card. This is ridiculous. So to sell your worthless insurance, the marketing executive bluffed me and made me purchase the insurance.
So, i want immediate action on this. Please cancel this policy right away and reimburse me for whatever payment i have made so far, otherwise i will have to file a complaint against hdfc ergo.
