I have been deducted rs. 708 on 11th dec 2017 as amb charges without pre-informing me of any such charge deduction. Since mine was a salary account and hence i should have been informed of any such deduction because of converting it automatically to saving a/c and not informing me of the same, i am liable for the refund of my amount.
I also need to get in touch with my account manager for further clarifications for the future, that would help me decide whether to continue with hdfc or close my account.

    I was in kolkata cr avenue branch of hdfc and i came for submitting a challan and depositing cash for my admission in a particular institution... I waited for about an hour or more in the que and when y number came there was link failure... As there was only one cashier... And when i complained about the same to the manager she misbehaved without taking my griviences and walked of... This is the kind of services we are seeking from a private bank and the manager of a reputed bank... Pissed of... I am seriously going to take it forward...

      Dear team,
      I had applied for the fastag from hdfc online on dec 11th 2017. I got acknowledgment saying your fastag is activated and issues with customer id and wallet id. I received message for the same. But i have not received fastag itself. I tried to reach toll free number[protected] but no response its not working also. I tried to follow with my relationship manager but she is also not responding. Its going into virtual rm.

      My account has already been deducted with the fees and other charges.

      It is hard to believe that such a reputed bank having such a lousy service. Their numbers don't work. And they are also not worried about the updating the status of the application.

      Same here. I have no clue about my application status. Yet my money has been debited and no further communication from the team. Never expected this from such a reputed bank. And the most surprising part is, none of the RMs seem to know that any such product exists.

      I have already dropped a mail to the above mentioned ID, let's see how long they take to revert.

      I am facing the same problem. I called a million times on the toll free number to get through once and I was given a landline number to speak to regarding courier.
      The person who answered the call said he has no information about my fastag.

      It is highly disappointing.
      I have received my Fastag from HDFC and today at Hoskote Toll i was not able to use the Fastag as it showed my Fastag as Blocked ID. I had to again pay in cash.
      Please help what to do.
      same for me it is really pathetic it is not detecting and moreover, no point in calling the call center. Now i am really frustrated that why did i select HDFC fast tag.
      I have booked hdfc fastag on 10-Feb-2018.I haven't received fastag.Very bad response from such a reputed bank.I have logged complaint also, no response from them.
      I have also got same problem. I dint receive my FAStag which i was applied and recieved reference number on 5th march 2018. I have tried calling toll free number but the number is not connecting at all. please help me.

      I also have the same problem, some how they double debit my money and no one responds to the query. I am very disappointed with HDFC. I would never suggest the fast tag to any one in this world. I do not know the escalation route or else I would have dragged them to consumer court. Super lousy service, with this kind of service they expect us to stick to their service.
      I am so impressed with the HDFC Fastag.
      I would strongly recommend this unique customer experience from HDFC bank whoever is in search of getting a Fasttag :)

      I went through two iterations to get the Fastag and and the outstanding service from HDFC bank goes as below.

      Iteration-1

      1. I applied online in 2018.
      2. I got an application acknowledge email saying I will get the fast tag in two weeks.
      3. Nothing happened, I called back on customer support (many times).
      4. I was asked to send email to a given email address with the application acknowledgement, that also done.
      5. Many follow-up emails on above email was also done, but no response.
      6. Nothing happened, I called back on customer support (many times).
      7. Later I was asked to put IRS100/- to a HDFC bank account to re-issue the Fastag and share the screen-shot of the transaction by email, that also done.
      8. Nothing happened, I called back on customer support (many times).
      9. I was told, I need to send an email to cancel the application, submit a new online application and the reimbursement will be done for the payments I have made.
      10. Nothing happened, I called back on customer support (many times).
      11. Still the story goes on. Neither I have received the Fastag nor the reimbursement till date.

      So many calls, so many emails, so much time and effort. Outstanding experience. I would strongly recommend this anyone is looking for a similar great customer experiences.

      Iteration-2

      1. As mentioned above, I send an email to cancel the first online application and then applied online for the new one.
      2. I didn't receive any confirmation email of the second online application.
      3. I called back on customer support (many times).
      4. Now I am in a unique and interesting situation that since my earlier application is not cancelled, the second application can't be processed.
      5. I called back on customer support (many times) and I was told I have to send an email to cancel my first application, get a confirmation and then the second application will be processed. Wait for few days.
      6. Sent email. Nothing happened I called back on customer support (many times).
      7. I was told that now the SECOND application has to be cancelled, send an email for that and the first one will be re-processed.
      8. I sent an email just now and waiting for the next level of impeccable customer experience HDFC has to offer. :)
      9. I will keep this thread updated with the next level of twist and turns of this unique customer experience.

      If any one is interested in any of the evidences of above mentioned, I have it handy. I have lost time, effort and money. Planning to file a consumer court case and start the legal process.

        I had bought a gift in july and tht time i had called the customer care at hdfc n got tht amount converted to emi. However in december i used ny card to purchase something agajn and i called the bank again to convert it to emi and i was told i dont have the offer kn ny card to convert it to emi. Why is this so? As far as i know no other bank has this type of offer going on to convert purchase balances to emi. I need to convert this purchase to. Emi urgently and iwould appreciate help on this matter

              They had asked me to deregister the hdfc card linked to the savings account and guided me through the process.
              But they did not guide that i first hv to remove the autopay.
              By doing this i was not able to use my on line payment option.

                मुझे जनवरी 2019 में एक कार लोन की जरूरत थी मैंने बैंक में अप्लाई किया बैंक ने उसको रिजेक्ट कर दिया RIC द्वारा जिसकी वजह यह बताई जा रही है कि मैंने पास्ट में सैलरी स्लिप फेंक दी थी और इसी सैलेरी स्लिप पर बैंक ने इससे पहले मुझे कार लोन दिया है
                अगर मेरी सैलरी स्लिप FAKE थी तो 2016 में मुझे लोन क्यों दिया गया जनवरी 2019 में जो मैंने लोन के लिए अप्लाई किया तो मैंने अपनी 2 साल की इनकम टैक्स आइटीआर लगाई थी क्योंकि मैं सेल्फ एंप्लोई हूं अब REF NO 64342254 दूसरा रीजन यह बताया गया कि जो मैंने इनकम टैक्स आइटीआर लगा रखी है वह फेक है दोस्तों मैं आप लोगों को यह बताना चाहता हूं कि इससे पहले मैंने एक्सिस बैंक से कार लोन लिया है और होम लोन लिया है इंडिया बोल से इसी आइटीआर के बेस पर उन बैंकों ने मुझे लोन दिया है पर एचडीएफसी बैंक यह कह रहा है कि मैंने आइटीआर जो लगाई है वह फेक है ऐसा कैसे हो सकता है एचडीएफसी बैंक इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न को फेंक बता रहा है बिना किसी सबूत के मैंने बैंक को अपना बिजनेस प्रूफ भी दिया था बैंक करंट अकाउंट की स्टेटमेंट लगाई थी
                दोस्तों मैं आपको बताना चाहता हूं जिस कार लोन के लिए मैंने अप्लाई किया था वह कार मुझे अपनी बहन की शादी में देनी थी हालांकि मेरा लोन दूसरे बैंक से हो चुका है लेकिन दोस्तों में आप लोगों को यह अनुरोध करना चाहूंगा कि आप कभी भी एचडीएफसी बैंक से लोन के लिए अप्लाई ना करें धन्यवाद

                  Hi,
                  I have raised a complaint on[protected] regarding my debit card transaction and visited the magarpatta branch of hdfc bank for the same and filled up the transaction dispute form, but didn't get a proper response till now. It's more than 15 days i am still calling the customer care daily regarding this, they have just one answer that they are looking into it and it's under process. The phone banking executive herself confirmed that normally transaction get refunded within 7 to 10 working days but i still didn't get any refund.

                    I submitted a complaint in the bank for the ac no35106291 and ac no 42081231. I went to the bank on[protected] to close the loan ac and to pay the full payment of my loan but i was handed over a paper with unnecesary charges which inclues bouncing charges, penelty charges and many more. I met with the branch manager and told him the concerned regarding the deduction of an amont as bouncing charges from my acc instead of having amount in my account. I wrote an application and handed ovef to the branch on[protected]all the stamping and receiving have been done by the branch but till due date my concern has not been solved by the bank. They have promised me to resolve it and waive off the extra charged but till now there is no action done by them.
                    Please kindly look into this matter and made it resolve as soon as possible as my next emi date is coming so before that i want to pay back the full amount of the loan.

                      I am a preferred customer with hdfc bank in secunderabad. Although, i never asked, these guys opened a demat account which remains totally unutilized for last 5-6 years or possibly more.
                      For last 1 year, these hdfc people, started deducting charges, which when i noticed, i raised a compliant. They initially reversed those charges and subsequenty i find sms coming to me and a proper letter coming from their mumbai branch threatening to hold my other account with hdfc with charges of rs 885. I had personaly reported about this to the branch relationship manager also, but nothing happened. I already asked them to close the demat account which is first place is useless for me and unasked for. Why should i pay for something which i never asked for.

                      Also i find that in the name of charges - hdfc is charging upto 1000. This is atrocious. I hope that competent authority in india must take such required actions to curb hdfc
                      When hdfc does not pay intrest of 1000 on a deposit of 10000, then how can they deduct so much.
                      Looks hdfc wants to send a signal that it is only meant for high networth individuals and not common man.
                      Being preferred, i was told that can have my extended family members account connected to my account id and that no one needs to maintain any minimum balance as my account has large balance. But to my surprise, hdfc took away more than 8000 rs as deduction towards charges and closed my extended family account on their own. Why did they not close the demat account then.
                      And worst part - they said they are doing all these as per rbi guideline? Has the rbi become so unconcerned. Has rbi given a blank orders to hdfc to loot people.
                      Can the income tax ask come up wit the revenue generation by these unscrupulous means of hdfc bank
                      Good that i never did any transaction-else they would have held my account to ransom.
                      When contacted, the relationship manager showed a sorry face and promised to do something, but never did.
                      I can imagine, if this happens to a preferred customer, what would be the plight of common man.
                      Mr aditya puri sir - i have been banking with other banks for more than 20 years now, i have not seen such behavior. What ethics do we talk about. Can someone let me know what is the basis of such high charges to be maintained in electronic form.
                      On-one hand the indian government is driving for digital india and on the other hand, you guys are discouraging the digital india drive by these not justifiable charges and accounts which customer does not need.

                        I had ordered a hdfc provided fastag a month back and it's not delivered yet.
                        I have already made number of follow up over phone but no resolution yet.
                        Application no: hfr010656

                        The fastag was couriered with tracking number blr[protected]. The courier service is very unprofessional and have returned back without any intimation to me.

                        Even after so many follow up on email and phone, i am not getting any response.
                        This is one of the worst service provided by hdfc. I have been customer for this brand for long time but now seeing such unprofessional behaviour i would recommend people not to use this service.

                        Please resolve this asap.

                            My mother expired before 5 years, we deleated her name to hdfc account but her demat account still live and her fund value is zero only one script and this script is suspended in bse and nse.

                            Every year hdfc deduct 1000 rupees to my father account for depository charges of my mother demet account.

                            This is wrong practice from hdfc bank can i go for consumers forum.

                            hi..demat closures are taken care by hdfc bank.
                            i have seen in the bank where they have a separate desk for demat accounts...probably could approach for closure..

                              Hello Sir/Ma'am,

                              I am maintaining a salary account with HDFC bank since couple of months. A month ago, HDFC bank allegedly dispatched a credit credit card on my name. Moreover, bank sent me an email of credit card statement where annual subscription fee of Rs 1000, plus IGST of Rs 180 (total Rs 1180) was charged. The fact is, I did not receive any credit card in hand and bank charged this subscription fee forcefully.

                              Immediately after receiving the alleged credit card's statement through email and SMS on registered mobile number, I intimated the bank's customer service division about non-receipt of credit card and requested them for cancellation of alleged charges. I did inform the bank's credit card support division through voice as well as through email. After no proper response from them, an attempt to auto-debit credit card bill through my HDFC salary account was made by HDFC bank. This attempt failed due to lower balance in my salary account. Since then, I sent numerous emails to bank's Grievance redressal team, greater grievance redressal team and senior management but no response arrived, except auto-generated emails. I complained about this issue to HDFC customer care over phone too. Details of all reference numbers mentioned below.

                              I humbly request you to intervene and help me get justice by cancelling the credit card as well as alleged charges. It has been over a month now for this drama by the bank and credit card bill is also growing with time. This could happen with anyone and bank may turn unresponsive all of a sudden. These sort of attempt by private banks to loot their customers will seriously become hurdle in establishing trust with these RBI approved dacoits. Looking forward to have your intervention in the matter. Thank you so much in anticipation.

                              No response from the bank till now. Grievance redressal of the bank is so poor. The bank does these sorts of frauds very often.
                              Still there is no response from the bank and I got credit card bill of the next month also. Pls help! HDFC bank is really setting the worst example in the name of customer service.

                                  Hello sir / mam,

                                  I am left with no other option but to write my complaint on this forum. I have been chasing hdfc life since last 3 months it is very sad that hdfc life representatives are not able to resolve my concern for such a long duration.

                                  My mother (Mrs. Kumkum singhal) has enrolled for a hdfc life policy (Policy #[protected] in 2014. But due to some personal reasons, she wished to surrender the policy after 3 years in 2017.

                                  We approached hdfc life office (Rdc, ghaziabad) in september 2017 and completed all the formalities for surrendering the policy. We were assured that within 2-3 weeks our amount would be credited to our account. It's been almost 3 months and we have neither received the amount in our account nor any of the hdfc life representative has been able to provide us the satisfactory answer about why there is a delay in our refund.

                                  I feel that we have been trapped with hdfc life. Hdfc life representatives have misguided us to get enrolled in this policy. Hdfc life's operation team & service desk are also not able to resolve my queries & concerns from a very long time now. This is really very frustrating. Hdfc life don't understand their customer's priorities, need & emergencies. I would rate this experience a pretty bad one and would never be able to trust private banks again.

                                  I did not expected such an irresponsible conduct from a brand like hdfc. Hope my concern gets acknowledged & resolved soon.

Earlier, the request for surrender quote which was received by us was processed and confirmed to customer. So, in order to further have a look into the issue for not receiving the surrender payout, the concern from the registered Id is required by us.

                                  For your kind information, our request was never resolved. Please re-open the the same request, if it has been closed at your end. How can you close a service request without notifying your customer. It is a failure on part of your Customer support team.

                                  We have never received any satisfactory answer for our our request.

                                  If it is resolved asap, I would have to post my dissatisfaction on social media, so that I make sure, none of my contacts fall prey to your unfriendly policies.

                                    priority pass - lounge charges imposed

                                    Hi i am a holder of hdfc regalia card where i had received priority pass for using lounges across airport terminals which is complimentary for some visits on yearly basis. I had used the priority pass in domestic terminal on 31st july, and also few other times later. Unfortunately for july i have been billed inr 4133. Reason not known, here are the issues
                                    1. I have not submitted my credit card during the visit, so i dont have any idea...

                                    Fasttag has been assigned for customerid[protected]. There are access deductions of 380 inr as adjustment entry on 10/16/2017. After that i am constantly trying to call the customer service but no response or no fruitful result. I have emailed all the details to their email ids hdfc. [protected]@sahaj.co.in, but no response in approx past 2 months. Their online portal is not working too, 10 days ago on 4 th december i could lodge a online service request, but there is no response.
                                    Hdfc has such a pathetic service when fastag is concerned. They are doing organized loot from this service. I am customer of hdfc bank from past 7 years, seeing their service i opted their fastag, but such a pathetic service from hdfc and sahaj.

                                    Whosoevr read this post, please do not apply fastag from hdfc if you want mental peace.

                                      Hi, i have salary account in hdfc 2 years back when i was working at that time. After that i changed company & they provided other bank account. Recently i changed new company. The new company have using only hdfc salary accounts. But my hdfc exsisted old salary account showing -9000 balance.
                                      The bank converts my salary account converted into savings account & charged monthly.. Now its 9000 negative balance. Without my permission how can the bank convert my salary account into savings account? Even they are not intimated verbally... According to rbi guidlines on savings account banks not charge even its negative balance.
                                      I approach branch, but they behaved rudly & refuse to close account.
                                      Plz juistice to me. 9000 is huge amount to me. What is the solution?

                                      I visited to branch today which is in DLF phase 1, I am literally disappointed by the branch manager "Ashish" behavior who directly and bluntly denied not to wave off the charges or to close account. paying 9k negative balance will be a big amount for me. I am literally disappointed by the service of HDFC bank. I would request to solve this issue asap.

                                      Even I am disappointed by their services.
                                      Poor HDFC bank employees making up their salary by customers money. Their customer service is more of sales service selling different types of loans instead of solving customer issues. Never follows up back nor reachable.
