I have been through so many problems with this bank and they never actually helped me with anything. They took all the opportunity to treat me bad, harass me and what not?
I'm in conversation with my bank - hdfc regarding my credit card, salary savings account and debit card as i have been victim of scam that took place on 02 july 2016, i've informed the bank and has put a stop on all my information, though there was no monetary loss. Now i requested my bank on 9th of june 2016 to close my credit card permanently so that i can pay it off on emis with them, i have been paying on it from last 6 months on time and the required amount, they still add late fee charges and over limit charges. I will be unable to pay it off, i requested them to discontinue my credit card so that late fee charges and over limit charges can be stopped, i never said no to pay the interest. They said cannot do it until you pay it off. I co-operated with them and i was through scam right after 22 days of my last conversation with the bank. I have everything on closure with them, they refused to close my card twice already, then i wrote to their managing director, mr. Aditya puri and their escalation team reconsidered my matter and looking in it, they promised me either they will enhance my credit limit so that those charges can be stopped or may permanently shut down my card and place the balance on emis including interest in 7 days. They will inform me with the same once they get it straighten out. Now their collection people called me on 11th of july 2016 and i was at my work place, i don't understand whom am i speaking to via email. If the bank's collection team is calling an escalated account, it means bank don't co-ordinate between departments. It's really hard to trust the bank because they have harassed me once before by getting in to my house without any notice and created trouble for my family. I don't want the situation to re-appear. HDFC Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
We have raised a chargeback vide ref # 1101547 on acquiring bank. We will credit your account by 20-Aug-16 (working day) as per Visa/MasterCard TAT, provided we do not get a representment claim (that is proof of transaction) from the acquiring bank.
