I am having a regular saving account with HDFC. I can see that the HDFC bank has deducted Rs. 114.5 from my account under the name- Program management fee. What is this fee about? What is the program the bank is offering? The bank did not notify me earlier about any such fees. It is a fraud to deduct customer's money without taking their concerns. I want this so called fee deposited back to my account.
HDFC Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
I am having a classic account with HDFC. I can see that the HDFC bank has deducted Rs. 114.5 from my account under the name- Program management fee. What is this fee about? What is the program the bank is offering? The bank did not notify me earlier about any such fees. It is a fraud to deduct customer's money without taking their concerns. I want this amount refund in my account.
A Program Management Fee of Rs 114.50 has been deducted from my account on 28 March 2016. I called customer service, they informed me, its a preferred customer fee as this is an Classic account.

When the account was opened in Classic portfolio, it was informed that minimum amount of balance has to be maintained in saving to avail the facilities and no additional charges will be there. How can bank change the policy just like day over night and null its own commitments. The accounts are in classic portfolio as per terms and conditions opening the account, you can not do just like that without informing customer and taking consent.


I expect you will revert me asap.

What is this programme management fee. Is this bank mad ? Even we dont have much money . We dont have jobs . A little saved money we have in bank, they are leviying fees on them . What a common man do who opens an account in your bank for better interest. Indians are not fool . Every outsider companies comes and made us feel cheated . What the hell is going on in this country . Give me my money back even i do not need such a small amount but it is my money . No bank has the right to take it away without my permission .

HDFC bank has deducted Rs- 114.50 from my saving account as "PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT FEE" on 28th March 2016. It is really surprising and ridiculous that money got debited without my knowledge and consent. I have never opted for such kind of programme then why bank has debited money from my account. HDFC bank is cheating people to make profit, bank has no rights to deduct customers money without their consent or knowledge. I want my money to be deposited back to my account.
Same here, The bank did not pre-notify about this charge.
This needs to REFUNDED ...

For any deduction Bank needs notification from RBI. HDFC has to provide notification of RBI or else it has no rights to deduct such amount. Even HDFC has no sham to to say it as "A nominal charge". in a year it will be 400 + tax. Why a customer has to bear this. If bank needs more business they have provide facility. But not on customer's cost. I have also charged by same amount for "PROGRAMMANAGEMENT FEE JAN-MAR16 230316". In a year ever any RM had call me for any purpose. Even today on 04/04/2016 I called twice RM but he had no cursty to call back. So what purpose the bank is charging. Just for profit making only...

Kindly explain for what and why no communication was given nor sent.

from my point of view we all need to open case against HDFC bank to suprime court.

They cheated us.
first of all, they are automatically upgraded us to prefered bank years ago and now they charging like to all o[censored]s.its i scamm like hell!
HDFC bank should refund the money deducted from all our accounts, Bank cannot deduct charges from users without any valid reason. If they do not return the money, we will have to close our accounts and move to other banks.

if money is not refunded back to our accounts we will close accounts with HDFC and move to another bank. There are pali ke pachas banks in india. Let the bank rot and its employees would be looking for jobs elsewhere. What service you are giving? Im not into loans. And should i be paying for a relationship manager to call and irritate me to make investments in dubao schemes? Please refund money back which you have taken without notice? 3 of my a/c have been charged 114.50 rs.

Pathetic strategy you give tag of preferred customer and start charging us.
Dear HDFC bank - I see you have mentioned about a host of exclusive privilege offered and hence charging 114.5 as program management fee quarterly (458 yearly).

As a classic salary account holder, i have read about the privileges and did approach the bank for issuing a locker to me. A request was duly taken and an entry created in a log book. I was told that i am in queue and shall be contacted as soon as the next set of lockers are available. However i kept on hearing about the queue whenever i inquired about the status. On hearing about the dedicated relationship manager, i did reach out to him and learned that the locker can be issued immediately if i am willing to purchase a life insurance policy where annual premium is more than 25K per year.

After waiting for 2 years and learning about the life insurance requirement for getting a locker issued, i have approached a nationalized bank and have obtained a locker facility within a months time. I have transferred my salary account to the nationalized bank and am quite impressed on how customer friendly they are these days.

As you have started charging 458 yearly for the dedicated services I shall visit the branch early next week and shall request for closing my account.

Please don't just copy paste your reply to everyone. We want to know if this was going to happen than why didn't your bank notified any of there customer about it so that poor people can close there account before that deduction. We people deposit our money in bank to save it and get interest not to pay you for your convenience. While opening account you don't mention any such terms and conditions. If is to be done than you should apply these only to your new customers not your old valuable customers. We want our valuable money back. there is a value of every amount in our life. You won't understand its value. Other banks are not deducting any such amount only HDFC is deducting means its against Government law. You cannot deduct about money of your trusted customers. The best thing to do is to close the accounts with this UNETHICAL bank. We should hit them where it hurts, byclosing our accounts. I have maintained a very big balance on an average for more than 3 years, and they are charging me this fee WITHOUT my consent. I am going to close my account. HDFC bank has deducted RS 114.5 on 28-March-2016 from my savings a/c towards Program management fees.
When i contacted Relationship manager he promised it will be reversed within few days. However i did not get that money back. To my shock again on 15-Oct-2016 another Rs 115 has been deducted towards Program management fees. Its been almost more than two months since my RM called me. Please credit my amount ASAP. I was not at all informed earlier about this via phone call.

Rs.115 was deducted my hdfc bank savings account a week ago as program management fee. I was never informed about this fee when privilege membership was offered. This is very unfortunate that customers are tricked with a free upgrade and taking money from them after three months without any notice.

I have no need for services offered to privilege members. Hence, I would like to continue with ordinary account and have the fees returned back.

I dont understand why REPUTED banks do this and erode their long earned TRUST.

Better to stick to govt. banks. I have an account with SBT and I have never had this kind of "cheating " experience.

Ask the bank to reverse the charges or tell them you are going to close the account.
That is what I am going to do.
I think all the customers should take this action.
Next time, the bank will think twice before levying such charges.

Once again, I dont understand why REPUTED banks do this and erode their long earned TRUST.
This so-called Programme Management Fee is amounting to fraud.

This so-called exclusive privileges like discount on locker charges, preferential pricing on loans and cards, dedicated Relationship Manager, unlimited free usage of domestic ATMs and many others are completely false. Others banks are offering similar services or even better for no extra fees.

HDFC has to reverse everyone's so-called Programme Management Fee.
hdfc is a useless bank. Their customer services are poor and on top of that their charges are exorbitant.
Now they have also started adding stealth charges like one people have described above.
HDFC has put me into their program without my explicit permission and has charged me Rs. 115 on the 19th of May 2017. Today they put me into an Rs. 100 OPT out program without for explicit consent, tomorrow they may put me into another OPT out program of Rs. 100000 without my explicit consent as well.

Why are SHAMELESS Employees of the bank continuing with such banks? It is because the employees continue with such Banks SHAMELESSLY the banks are able to do these?

    I requested for a xerex copy of my own document from hdfc home loan branch, tambranwest, chennai 45 and they are charging rs.573/- is highly exorbitant for middle class family affected by recent flood is a big penalty for me. If your bank is ready for offering flood relief loan at the rate of 8.5% i am very much prepared to take it even now by cancelling the lichfl loan transfer.

      Anurag Aggarwal and meenakshi mehrotra, employees of credit card department, these two gave me wrong information. They picked up my calls only once. Since then I have tried 20 calls to them but none of them picked my call and in fact they kept cutting my calls. They both are harassing me mentally. Hdfc bank mailed me be assinged these employees for clearing queries but they are not doing so. Please take a strong action against them and provide me a new officer who can resolve my issue.
      please dismiss them from their post.

        Very unfair and fraud bank - hdfc bank. I checked my account and found deduction of rs. 100 + service task and that is for deduction of program management fee. What type of fees is this... No intimation from bank for such deduction, no news highlight.. It is clear to close the account in hdfc bank. Even i will suggest every body to close account in hdfc bank.

        I noticed that HDFC bank has charged Programme Management fees to my Savings account when my account even does not match the given criteria for being treated as a preferred customer. Further, they have sent no notification to me for upgrading me as their preferred customer. And when I asked them about degrading the status of my account, they say I have to visit the nearest branch for the same. I am calling their RM for last few days & yet no response. The Bank has just ended up causing me inconvenience.
        They have also been charging me for the NEFT transactions I do. If am a preferred customer & they charge me for the same, then why do they charge for my NEFT transactions too. Am very disappointed with the services of HDFC Bank, especially for their poor customer support after raising a complaint. When I try to trace my complaint status with the reference number they had given me, it says that my reference number cannot be traced & I have to reach a nearest branch.
        Am going to close my account with this Bank as they simply focus on charging me fees for which I am not entitled to pay. And also am planning to file a complaint with the RBI regarding the same.
        I notice the same deduction in my account today. HDFC bank is fraud. How can they charge without any notification. I never asked for any special service. Can someone from hdfc explain on what basis you are charging?

        d. If we have made a major change or a lot of minor changes in any one year" ... So it clearly means you are in violation as the change was without notice but was not notified within 30 days as required because you are charging the fee from Jan onwards and it is much more than 40 days since.. HDFC needs to reverse this fee immediately.. Thanks!
        Just checked my account and got to know that HDFC bank have deducted an amount of RS 100+service charge from my savings account.when I checked it thoroughly got to know that they hv taken it as programme management fee.What a bogus fee that programme management is?I am heard this for this first time.This is very unethical practice by HDFC bank, and there is no such criteria from RBI to charge for programme management .If this amount will not be deducted to me within a week, then I will be bound to close my account with such a blood thirsty bank.Not only me i will definitely close the account of my family members as well as friends.lets see who is benefiting from this fraudulent drive.Also request to all those who are the victims of the same drive to close down all business with hdfc.
        Yes, accounts can be closed within 60 days without any penalty and they have to reimburse this charge too.. Its in the IBA guidelines which the banks operating in India have to follow.. If they don't, there are action groups and Ombudsman to resolve the issue speedily..
        Please write to Reserve Bank of india with this complaint. if there are many complaints RBI will take action. I don't think IRDA has any say in this.

        HDFC bank is levying Programme Management Fee of Rs 115/- per quarter on my savings bank account starting from January 2016 for facilities like discount on locker charges, preferential pricing on loans and cards, dedicated Relationship Manager, unlimited free usage of domestic ATMs and many others. If I am not using any of these facilities and am not likely to use any of these facilities why is HDFC bank forcibly charging this fee. It should actually be an optional facility. They can charge it as and when customers use these named facilities. Is this fair trade practice on the part of HDFC bank? With pressure on banks to recover NPA's it looks like HDFC bank has found an easy way to recover it from unsuspecting customers?

        Same happen with me without any info they charged 115rs... and now telling BS that many kind premium service u r providing... i don't want any service because same services other bank are providing free...not to make fool customer by oral policy which never works...
        I also face similar problem. My family have 4 saving A/Cs & many FD RD DMAT also. I do not have other option so I have to close all account and my 10+ years relation with HDFC is going to end soon. This is cheating because many banks are not charging such fees and giving better service. I talk also to personal banker but still No action has been taken.
        HDFC will not do anything just they will copy and paste their post and their duty is over. Why they have not intimated about the deduction?? what kind of extra benefit they are giving ???? there are banks visiting 5 times in a month with no extra cost - I have 10 years relation with HDFC I know them well. If you have good amount of money in bank additional facilities are freely provided. I am not taking any such facilities though it has been charged. On request of personal banker I opened DMAT RD FD and now paying extra - strange - No issue we have option to other banks

I do not understand the charges levied and deducted under the name of Programme Management Fee. I too agree with other customers that if you are going charge every quaterly, I will have to close down my accounts with you.         HDFC bank is started deducting Rs 114.5 every quarter against program management fee. I have written and also requested to the bank for this fee waiver but all in vain. Now I have understood that this is a kind of strategy to take money from the bank customers. I wish to know what kind of program and facility HDFC bank is providing . Dedicated RM... most of them cannot guide you properly and sometimes misguide you.
        This is an unfair practice from such a bank and (RBI if they can) must intervene to stop such a matter. I fail to understand why such fee will be taken when you are NOT wish to take any such management and facility.

            Hi, i would like to complain again regarding collection practices that i am facing with hdfc, i have been useing hdfc credit card since more then 3 years now, i always paid my bills on time in the month of September and October due to family medical conditions i missed my payment then started getting calls, calls from many different mobiles numbers unrecorded calls using many in appropriate language ( unprofessional words) harassing me to pay so i raised complain about it but it still continued till December then i received call from hdfc bank explain them my issue it stop for a while i specifically requested and never in any circumstances send any one to my house i was assured it will not happen again so i started paying i paid in the month of January and February little amount but this month an agent name - Gagan deep singh came to my house saying with loud voices why have you not pick my calls i told him i was sleeping and when i sleep i keep my phone in silent or may be i was at work i also inform him don't want calls from mobile numbers he started yelling at me you have not paid it i told him i was waiting for my salary, he again started yelling at me saying why i did not pick his call and talking to my neighbours about me not paying i told him i work at night so i sleep during day hours, i told him i already requested not to send any agent to my house he said he will keep coming till i don't pay, i really did not like this inappropriate why of collection practices. i will don't want to deal with any 3 party collection agencies please request HDFC bank to call me and not any 3party collection agencies then only i will start paying i know this is affecting my civil score but i am ok i dont care any more now but i don't this kind of harassment...if i get a call from bank i will talk and pay i want to start paying what i owe there where other issue with hdfc bank regarding not getting statement earlier that was also one reason i missed my payment...i requested hdfc bank to take action about this inappropriate collection practises ..thanking you

              I am Naveen krishna A. having an hdfc account number of [protected] at Alwal branch. This is bringing to your kind notice that for the months of January and February, the bank has debited an amount of rs 171.75 on the name of Amb charges including ST and Cess. I would like to know on what basis bank levied charges against minimum balance.
              I am providing you few details, which mentioned by the RBI on levy of penal charges on non-maintenance of minimum balance.

              Levy of charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance in savings bank account shall be subject to the following additional guidelines:
              (i) In the event of a default in maintenance of minimum balance/average minimum balance as agreed to between the bank and customer, the bank should notify the customer clearly by SMS/ email/ letter etc. that in the event of the minimum balance not being restored in the account within a month from the date of notice, penal charges will be applicable.
              (ii) In case the minimum balance is not restored within a reasonable period, which shall not be less than one month from the date of notice of shortfall, penal charges may be recovered under intimation to the account holder.
              (iii) The policy on penal charges to be so levied may be decided with the approval of board of the bank.
              (iv) The penal charges should be directly proportionate to the extent of shortfall observed. In other words, the charges should be a fixed percentage levied on the amount of difference between the actual balance maintained and the minimum balance as agreed upon at the time of opening of an account. A suitable slab structure for recovery of charges may be finalized.
              (v) It should be ensured that such penal charges are reasonable and not out of line with the average cost of providing the services.
              (vi) It should be ensured that the balance in the savings account does not turn into negative balance solely on account of levy of charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance.
              By these guidelines, Bank shouldn't levy charges on non-maintenance of minimum balance without notifying to the customer.
              For my case, bank didn't inform me through message or email, though i updated all my details. hence, i am requesting the bank to credit the same amount to my account otherwise i want to take some legal actions against the same.

I am not happy with the Program Management fee that they started charging, WITHOUT any notification.                   We are providing premium business to HDFC. All services offered by HDFC are voluntary and to retain high worth customers. Why do I need to pay a fee on these services? We never asked for these services explicitly.

                      My name is maheswari, D/o Narashima reddy, I am using HDFC Bank credit card since 1 year, in March 2016 I did't make a payment for credit card.I got call in march saying that I didn't pay minimum due amount.He said me to pay amount in 1 hour time he called me at 2 PM on march 29. Actually I lost my phone number which is there in HDFC Bank records.So I miss the due date I need to pay.

                      The agent who call me is Mr Girish Dasika(mob no:[protected]).

                      As I recently join in new job I can't ask permission.He said to pay in 1 hour or I will goto your home and shout with your parent .He is shouting at me.I asked to give me time by next day morning so that I can pay but he ignore.So I called my friend and asked him to make a payment and given the agent number.But Mr Girish Bank agent total ignore his word and put the phone down.So anyway he made a payment by 4 PM same day .Now the agent called and said that my friend scolded him but he didn't scold him.So Agent said he will take serious actions.Anyway Agent task is to collect money not in interfere in personal matter or to scold .If I will not pay my CIBIL Score is gone and I will in a problem.So why HDFC Bank people should make Male bank agent to call and visit female customer.Why can't you arrange female executive. Because Male executive is making this issue as big thing and started black mailing me saying that he will go and fight with your parents and friends .Inform to all your relatives and friends. I said you need money right take it, don't try to make this as a big issue.After paying minimum amount as he asked he said you can pay remaining money by due date but again now he is saying to total amount now itself.Anyway I will pay once I get my salary on 2nd or 3rd April.He is forcing me to pay now.because my due date 6 of every month.I am paying interest also included but this guy is make big issue why I don't know for my friends all HDFC agent they call and treat in professional way.Why this guy like this.All my friends get calls from agent and ask to make a payment is genital and polite way even they did pay for 3 months and 4 months also.But why this guy is like this.Making a payment and remembering due date is my responsibility .If I forget inform me .For 50 thousand no one will leave own house and run away.Now after I said this Issue to my friend who paid money in bank .He call agent and started argument because he didn't scold the agent initially.No one will scold bank employ unless they do some wrong. Anyway If this happen next time I will pay total money to the court and fight in court of law for justice.

                        On checking my account, i see you have holding funds of rs 2042. Earlier rs 1200 was deducted for cheque return charges, for your pathetic service and overated charges, i have to cough the amount,

                        Now again rs 1000 has been deducted citing cess and cheque return charges.

                        Actually i did now want to continue ur account, but this was only account operational .

                        Reduce the charges to a nomianl amount, i will report this to all customer consumer forums so they are aware of your pathetic service, as you people loot peoples money in this way.

                            i am prefered customer of hdfc bank from last so many years.Hdfc open new branch in front of my factory. I requested to give me account statement but they refuse under some infulance. After that i made a complaint by phone and assistant manager come to me but not giving any satisfactory reason and matter is closed. Sir if this is your complaint attendind style then please stop that section.
                            We are very impressed with your managing director mr. Aditya thoughts, but these people are pulling your legs.
                            In the end it is our bank and depute some special officer who take correct feedback practicals not in books or papers or not in mails. Thanking you and hoping that you can do some better ?

                              My HDFC salary account was created by my first company back in 2011. I got a better opportunity and had to move to a different company and location. To my surprise my salary account has been converted to savings account without any intimation or warning. Even if I check my recent E-statement dated 8th of march 2016 which is sent by HDFC bank, it says that my balance is ZERO (Rs.0/-) and HOW WILL MY ACCOUNT BALANCE BECOME Rs: -6308/- WHEN I WIST A BRANCH (I have attached the screenshot of the deceiving statement which HDFC sent). What are they trying to hide? I’m not responsible for the secret charges that the bank pile up on the customer without intimation. I request you to please take action against this.

                                  I have hdfc account, my personal banker (Vikas) of hdfc bank approached me for sl young star policy.
                                  Which i purchased, he putted my email but policy was my wife name

                                  When i tried to register policy online with hdfc life, it didn't allowed as my email has other hdfc life policy too.

                                  So i sent an email to register my wife email, which they did but did typo and by that register an email which not exists
                                  I sent the correction requests but they are asking to send through registered email ( which they have entered incorrectly)
                                  On the help side my hdfc bank personal bank just provide a number to call on [protected] and then that lady asked me to call on another number [protected] and on that number lady asked me to contact person whom i have purchase the policy which left hdfc bank 2 year back. What the please service

                                  Never purchase any policy with hdfc life.
                                  I will take this matter to irda too and will put this message on facebook, let people now what kind of service they can expect from hdfc

                                      yes we have to take up this matter on all forms i.e. with bank and Social Media this is clear cut loot and cheating by bank generally preferred customers have min. 5-7 account with bank so even after having a huge balance in the bank they will be charged 475/- per account means average collection of bank will be 2500/- per customer It shows how they Increase their profits by cheating and looting customers

                                      HDFC bank is cheating customers. Without giving notice they have charged programme management fees. Today I wentr to the bank to find out what it is, they were not able to say. They say they have to find out. Already Government is charging too much as tax and now bank is charging.
                                      Same here the bank is degrading its services, there is no value for person who are holding account as classic customer from past 15 years.. Sad I will be forced to move to other bank who are offering better services.

                                      Whether & Why not Customers were informed in Advance?

                                      Whether RBI has permitted levying such charges?

                                      Why you are shy of not giving Ombudsman name when requested several times?

                                      When your Bank uses our funds at low cost interest, where is the need to charge preferred customers?

                                      Don't forget Bank lends money on savers money & we as a customers can shift to other Banks.

                                      HDFC Bank has forgotten ford service & every one in the chain markets their products say Insurance, pensions schemes but they forget & has forgotten the word service.

                                      Remember in India everyone does not need Technical Solutions but a humane faced service whereas you are compelling Non IT savoy customers to compulsory use Technology based solutions.

                                        I got credit card. When i discussed about the card feature he said that card is full of free, no processing fess.

                                        But now from hdfc bank charged 435 rupees.

                                        I contacted hdfc bank customer care no response, no proper reply.

                                        I have sent so many mails. But no reply.

                                        There is no escalation manager mail id for for further complaints in hdfc bank.

                                        Please support for me regarding this.
