Please note that Credit Card has been offered by HDFC bank with no additional expense except Late fee for the amount used through credit card.

However, for last few months they were unable to deliver the credit card bills to the said address and no one ever contacted me from HDFC credit card bank behalf.

Later my office address changed and i requested online for address change with the Credit Card dept, they changed the address but with huge amount added which includes Late fee plus Finance Charge. by definition of Bank that Finance charge is the interest fee they charge on amount used from credit card if it is not payable on time.
Issues:
1. I have paid timely payments but if they are not able deliver the bills how would i come to know that how much i have to pay to the Credit Card company.
2. However, i have paid all the payable amount including late fee
3. As it not informed to me by the HDFC credit card representative, that the bank will apply FINANCE CHARGE on late payment amount, therefore i have not paid this finance charge.
4. They keep calling and forcing me to pay this amount also..
5. I have not received the credit card bills through courier even and thy did not even bother to call me.
6. And now they keep on increasing the amount of Finance charge by adding further more late fees and finance charges with service tax and cess tax..

it is same like when villagers borrowed money from landlord and never able to return it because landlord keep on adding BYAJ or interest.

Kindly help in this matter.

    I have been trying to update my DOB for SL Crest policy i have taken, SICK of calling Call Centre for they DONT comprehend. Visited BRANCH furnished docs _ NO update. ESCALTED issues per trail - NO RESPONSE. I[censored]pdating records is SO TDS, what would it be for my family to claim in my loss.

    DOB needs to be changed to XX XX XXXX, I can have a copy of my passport emailed to you.

    I had already surrendered a copy of my passport, DL & application at Pimpri branch about a month ago. Nevertheless, I can email the same yet again.

        HDFC BANK IS A PARASITE.I had take home loan no.[protected] of Rs 45,00,000.I m paying Rs 45000 /-emi.In the year1.4.11 to 31.3.12 i paid 4,85,784 (principal Rs 96,051ONLY,interest 3,89,733) ROI 9%.now,in the year1.4.12 to 31.3.13 I paid Rs 5,45,928
        (principalRs34,467 ONLY.....,interestRs5,11,461.)ROI12% SHOCKING ,ISNT IT?that too without notice of change of interest.when asked they say ,now the RBIrate is 10.5%,so if you want to change from 12% to 10.5% pay fees of Rs11936.WHY????NO ANSWER.Ifeel exploited deceived.DO NOT TAKE LOAN FROM HDFC!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY ARE FRAUDS.

          Hi,
          I had surrendered my policy[protected] on 29-Dec-12 with the required documents at the law college road Pune branch, I have also receipt for the same. But when after a week I asked
          customer care about my refund status they said your refund is on hold since copy of your beneficiary's Id is missing in the first place if according to your policy no one can surrender the policy without the required documents (Policy, Policy holder's ID and beneficiary's Id) how can you people give a crape that one of the document is not submitted. Even if it is misplaced by you people(now anything can be expected by you guys) you can’t even bother to communicate it to the customer.
          When I enquire the matter with the branch executive (Pune Law college Road) she said all the documents are perfectly fine she herself scanned the documents and sent it to the concern department. Next day customer care gave the same crape beneficiary’s id is missing and branch executive said we have received authorization for your check, by tomorrow we'll dispatch it.

          But when today I called the branch executive she said she doesn't know why the concerned department is not approving the process and asked me to discuss the issue with that department representative.
          How can you ask the customer to deal with the issue ?
          Why don’t you people update the status online?
          I mean this is the service which you people provide to your customers..ridiculous.
          Why such discrepancy in your representative’s statements? They are just playing blame game. They don't even realize that they are representing the same organization.
          They don't even bother about the customers problems and providing the solution they don't even think about it.

          I went to HDFC Life insurance, T NAGAR branch chennai to surrender ULIP policy . BASTERS no proper response for customers and wait for 3 hours without having lunch.
          finally they told signature missmatch and sent me back.
          I have made this signature past 7 years back, asked them to verify the signature in my passport, driving license and proofs submitted .

          But they simply rejected.

          It is very difficult to get money back from HDFC insurace .

          Not getting amount paid till date back, better plan for FD in nationalised bank

          I have a policy no[protected] dt-31.8.2009
          at the time of policy HDFC bank person says, you have to pay three instalment then you can withdraw the money with Principle +premium
          I have paid the three instalment on time.
          now I received a call from customer care they said if I surrender this policy I will get 50k in place of principle amt deposited 75k
          please let me know what I have to do?
          I have two more policies also with HDFC it means I have to withdraw all the policy otherwise I will loss my whole money?

          I have a HDFC life insurance policy. A person called over phone and said I can surrender your polic. 3premium has been given each Rs.12000. so I will get Rs.47779 But I have to do another policy of Rs 15000. Isit true or fake?

          My Self Sanjay Ghosh Policy number 14618268, paid premiums Rs 50, 000 every year for 5 years from 2011. And now due to some personal crisis I need a partial withdrawl. I have written to [protected]@hdfclife.com but all they say is contact your branch. I have moved from original location due to job prospects. When I took the policy HDFC LIfe was very helpful but now they are making me go round and round. I am also an investor in HDFC Mutual Fund and have never faced an issue like this.

            This is to report grave & serious matter which has occured with my Wife.

            Our Background

            Me & my Wife are Indian Citizens residing in UAE. We hold an NRE Account with HDFC Bank in India which was activated through the local branch
            in Dubai. The Account is a joint account under mine & my wife's name.

            Wife : Neha Matani

            Complaint 1

            On 9th of January 2013, Wednesday, My Wife Mrs. Neha, who is a joint account holder of our Account with HDFC, visited the HDFC Dehradun
            Branch (Rajpur Road) to withdraw cash from our account. Herein, She was directed to Ravinder who is a bank official working in Dehradun branch.

            She asked him for a withdrawal slip to withdraw cash & on upon that, He asked her whether she has a debit card of a cheque book. She replied
            in the negetive & hence he turned her away saying that the Customer cannot withdraw money from the bank if they do not have a debit card or
            cheque book...

            Now, after having consequently checked with the Bank officials, I was informed that the bank does not have any such policy that an Account
            Holder caanot withdraw money if they do not carry a cheque book or an ATM Card. It is irrelevant that we have a debit card/cheque book or not, but it is relevant that we hold an account with the bank.

            Hence, I want to lodge a complaint against Ravinder & HDFC for having denied the right of the Customer to withdraw cash from his/her account on the basis of false pretexes which are not in line with the Bank's Policies & procedures.

            My Wife has travelled more than 2 hrs to withdraw money from her own account, only to be wrongfully denied by Ravinder on the basis that she did
            not carry a debit card/cheque book... Let me reinforce again that after having spoken to the Bank officials, It has been confirmed that there is no such policy of the bank which can deny the customer his own money from his own account.


            I would request your utmost cooperation & support to take this matter up with the bank as we have been wrongfully denied our right to withdraw our own money from the bank on the basis of false pretexes which are not in line with the Bank policies.

            We have suffered because we have been denied our own money when we needed it the most.

              i have hdfc bank credit card no. [protected].
              i had purchased a product from flipkart.com on 4/1/13..first time payment was failed but message comes from bank my credit card was debited 699/- rupees..second time i try again and this time payment was succesfull.again message comes my credit card debited with 699/- rupees.so 699/- rupees charged two times for one product shopping...after 10 days i have received no refund for the failed payment..

                This is to bring to your kind attention that I Prashant V.Parab has a unknown outstanding with one of the reputed Bank (HDFC Bank)The collector from the Bank and agency have started harassing me over the phone and even stared sending goons at my work place and at my residence. I have been negotiating with bank in regards to the outstanding amount but the officer Mr.Vishal is not providing me with precise response, but he wants me to get paid all the outstanding dues ASAP.



                I have been a ordinary customer without any default till date with any of the banks, but this executive are making me a defaulter by rudely abusing and threatening me over the phone. Numbers which I have been receiving are different every time one of these numbers are [protected] and landline no 30552300/61439300/42254900. They even called at my work place and threatened my colleagues in my absence in regards to dire consequence failing to make the outstanding amount at the earliest, resulting to which my job is at stake.



                Requesting you to kindly look into this as I am ashamed of myself for which I have not done anything wrong and which could lead me to commit suicide and also I will be sending one copy to commissioners of police office for records if something goes wrong with me.

                HDFC Credit Card — collection executives harrasment

                I had payed my last HDFC payment of 1898 vide cheque 867266 and this was payed late because i was not getting my statements in time. After repeated requests only one executive called me and told my outstanding with late payment of 400rs. when i told about the non availability of statement, he told the late payment will be waved off and i have to pay the rest 1898 which i have done on the next day. I informed him that i need to close the card for which he told that he will sent an executive for collection of the card and giving me the settlement letter. It has never happened and i never used HDFC card after that .


                Now for the past 3 weeks for my surprise i am getting regular calls from HDFC collection dept telling that i have an outstanding of 3000 rs and need to be payed. When i asked for the details they are not willing to give and started abusing me telling that they can collect the payment either from me or from my parents. None of the cutomer care executive are giving me the higher authority number so that i can explain him the problem.

                With reference to the above mentioned credit card No this is to inform you that I am using the credit card of HDFC bank since July 2008. Due to some financial crisis this month my payment was not in time. Since the beginning of the month I am telling that I will pay before month end. Today morning at 11.55 a.m I received a call from 8 No. N.S.Road, Gillander House, Phone no.[protected] . The lady who called me she does not have minimum sense of language who did not disclose her name and introducing herself as senior executive. She called at my home and told my mother that I’m doing “ayashi & furti” with so many people by using my credit card. And I have kept so many body guard for not paying the money. Continuously she was calling in my mobile and residence number and giving threat.

                  Good Morning,

                  There is debit of more than rupee 30000 showing on my credit card with HDFC bank since May 2011 due to overpayment. I have made several requests via email, phone, HDFC website to request for refund. For almost an year nobody responded about the process of how to get the refund or asked for ton of paperwork to substantiate that it's a valid request for refund (though I don't understand why should I needed to provide evidence as it was obvious in their own system). None the less I provided the evidences requested but I still didn't received my refund. Then I had to leave the matter as I had to travel overseas for work. In Nov 2012, I pursued the matter with HDFC again and finally they agreed to refund in form of Demand Draft by mid-december. When I made a follow up phone call to HDFC in mid-december, I was told that I would receive it by about December 26th as it got delayed due to administrative issues. When it didn't came till January 15th, I followed up again and I was told that they cannot issue a DD and hence, need my saving account number to reimburse the money. I have provided that now but has been told that I would get the money by January 31st. HDFC bank associates have given case reference number every time with a promise that "it would definitely be refunded now". I would like to get some help from judicial system or consumer court about to not only get my money but with interest for the time (1year and 7months) it was showing due on bank's side just like HDFC credit card would have charged me if I would have not paid. I also need additional compensation for harassment and trouble I have gone through to get my money.                     I am Shiraz khurana, my father Satya Pal khurana has taken a policy from your Company on 30th june 2004 policy number 10042580. He is filing his installments on time since 30th June 2004, the local office in kurukshetra of your company has taken the cheques given by us for the year 2011 & 2012 as well. We have the receiving of cheques for both years. But now they are saying the cheque you have given is of fewer amounts for both years. They haven’t informed us about this not even once. The person named Varun Sharma is mentally harassing my father, by giving different types of excuses. My father has visited your local office many times. He has given us number of a person named Sandeep Sharma & told us that he is his boos & he will solve our problem. When we called sandeep sharma initially he was giving us different excuses, on calling third time he told us that: he is doing same work like Varun Sharma in Panipat, & he is not boss of Varun Sharma. Varun Sharma has told us that service tax has been increased that’s why we need to pay extra. If the service tax has been increased we are ready to pay but they should have at least informed us. He also told us that you have to pay fine for the payment of 2011 for late payment. My father has given his installment on time then why we should pay fine. Varun Sharma has returned our cheque of 2011 & 2012 on 28/07/2012. My father’s last visit to your office was on 1/08/2012. On that day he has ensured us that he will solve the problem today & will communicate for sure but till today i.e. 22/08/2011 we haven’t received his response till yet. I want your company to take some suitable (Legal) action against Varun Sharma & resolve the matter as early as possible. I do have proof of all cheque receiving along with me.

                      Dear Sir,
                      I was offered an upgrade to my existing HDFC Credit Card to Superia HDFC Credit Card along with a welcome letter stating that a return ticket would be given wherein the base fare would be exempted. But i was not given the same and after months of follow up and re submission of their own welcome letter, they had send me the coupon code.
                      But that coupon code never worked and i was unable to use the same. Subsequently i informed the bank again and the same process of follow up started. As per my conversation on 23rd of Dec'2012, i was told that a new coupon code will be issued to me again.
                      But till date they have not issued the same.

                      With deep regret i would like to say that the service has been very very poor and very harassing with no resolution till date since the new card was issued to me in april 2012.

                      Expect a quick quick resolution regarding this issue.

                      HDFC BANKING SERVICES — FALSE PROMISES

                      I have salary account with HDFC, though I had to open the account much against my wishes when I joined this company. I received an message one day saying that I can avail personal loans with no documentation as I have an account with HDFC. I fell into that trap and approached my home branch at Surya Kiran bldg. for the same. I met up with one of the executives Mr. Giri, who promised me that he will have the loan disbursed in 3 working days and I need not give any proof. I did inform him that I need this loan only for a month and he assured me that I can close this in a month without paying any foreclosure charges and that my PL can be converted to Home Loan. After a month when I i.e. end of Jan they tell me that there is this is lock in period and I will not be able to close my loan and should I wish to I will have to pay the interest for the next 6 months plus 4% prepayment penalty. When I told the Manager about what Mr. Giri had promised, he said sorry these are bank policies. Where did these policies go when the loan was given to me?? I went to the bank one day to withdraw cash and had to wait for 15 minutes at the counter the reason being there was no cash in the bank!!!
                      Today after completing 7 months payments I went to the Green Park Branch close the loan account I was shocked to hear from them that I will get an NOC after 25 days. If the cheque gets cleared in 2 days why should it take 25 days for an NOC. The other option is if I do need one urgently then I need to pay 50 Rs. and I will get an NOC in a week's time. My question is - if the bank can give an NOC in a week time then why do I have to wait for 25 days. Is this priority banking???
                      On the other hand I went to a Nationalised bank today and I realised that everything was so smooth and the staff were so courteous.
                      I have asked my company to move my salary account from HDFC as I am fed up with the shordy service provided by them.

                          We are staying in pune. We had purchased a four wheeler - honda city individual. The original passing is from jalgaon.We applied for used car loan , loan Amount Rs 4 Lac from HDFC Bank,bhandarkar road, Pune. We provided all the original docs to the bank as RTO passing was supposed to be done by them for which they said it would take around 1 month for complete process and after 1 month the vehicle will be on your name. now its been more than 3 n half months and we are continously doing follow up with the bank but the passing is not done. Such a bad service that bank representative dont give the status.we need to call n everytime we geta status that it will be done in two days. We also met with Bank head but no progress. Even the car insurance is lapsed now.

                          Your bank harrass by returning cheque due to signature differ. particulalrly Vadodara clearing office. I paid delayed payment chareges when one of my cheque returned which was drawn on favour of standarad chartered bank for clearing montlhly dues of credit card. Cheque was simply return for signature difference. which i think may be slight differ. I paid penalty and other charges of Rs.890/- for mistake of HDFC local clearing house of vadodara.Please check up Cust ID 25168595

                          (iv) Want to register for cheque book but your menu on customer care is not simple.I phoned number of times and wasted money
                          (v) I could not access netbanking due to change for security by HDFC. KIndly help me urgently so that I can do transactions online.
                          (vi) necessary screen shot as desired and advised by your phonebanking officer is attached for ready reference. please help

                          HDFC Bank — Poor Service

                          The very first thing I would like to say is, your service sucks. You guys need to have a bowl in hand, stand in front of ICICI bank and beg for banking knowledge.

                          I had given a request to break my FD # ***1600 (Customer Id # 8946253) about a month back at HDFC electronic city Bangalore branch.

                          The very first day the lady at help desk took the filled form and assured me that the amount will be credited to my account (Acc # ***3862) within three days.

                          After a week when I visited to branch I was told that I need to submit an ID proof and I was promised that they will process it on the same day.

                          Again after a week when I visited the branch, A senior guy (ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE, Empl # A9497) told me that the lady at help desk is new to bank, she doesn’t know the procedure. The guy again took the form and assured me that it will be processed on the same day.

                          Again I got a call from mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE saying that there is an overdraft that you need to close and it’s my mistake, he asked me to visit the branch again. Once I reached the branch I was informed that the OD is in some other branch so they can not close it.

                          After discussing with senior folks, again mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE took the form and assured me that they will process it on same day.

                          After few days when I visited the branch, I was told that it would take another 10 days.

                          And now after days there is no update on the same.

                          It looks like a story, it’s how HDFC is treating customers,
                          After reading all this, will you please answer my following questions.

                          1> Do you really return customer’s money deposited in FD.
                          2> How much time generally it takes.
                          3> Is there any mechanism in place so customer can be kept informed about their requests and they don’t have to visit the branch again and again.
                          4> Was it really my mistake that forced me to visit the branch five times. Shouldn’t the personal banker knowing the procedure. Probably it was, I opted for HDFC when I had options for CITY bank and ICICI bank.
                          5> When can I except the request to be process. Should I wait for a year or so.
                          6> Can you fire mr. ABHIJEET MUKHERJEE Empl # A9497 for harassing, misguiding customers.


                          I would be posting this to multiple forums. I'll try my best to let others know about the kind of service HDFC bank proving to it's customers.

                          I'd been in same situation earlier. Better you go with other banks.
                          Today I visited the branch. I asked for complained form, I was told that they don't have the for. It's strange. They have the complained box. but don't have the form.
                          We have current account with HDFC sunam branch .It takes about to 2-3 hours to get the funds transfer from one account to another account. Today we have given a cheque for transferring the funds to our Dhuri Branch at about 1.30 pm upto 3.15 pm the cheque was lying unattented and no transfer of funds was done.
                          Nobody is listening to the problem.

                                  I have been harassed by HDFC bank for the last one month. My ordeal began on the night of Dec 10, 2012 when I visited an Axis bank ATM near my home on Gangaram Road, New Delhi.

                                  I inserted my HDFC card into the machine and tried to withdraw Rs. 10,000. However, the machine flashed a message "Not enough cash" and the transaction failed. But surprisingly, the amount was deducted from my account which I realized later when I got a message from the bank.

                                  As I did not got any cash I walked to another nearby HDFC ATM and tried to withdraw Rs. 4,000, but again the same thing happened. The machine flashed the same message without giving me any cash.

                                  Minutes later, another text from the bank informs me that I have successful withdrawn Rs. 4,000.

                                  My mother visited the bank’s branch in Old Rajendra Nagar on Dec 12 and submitted the complaint on my behalf. Firstly, she was never received properly by your discourteous staff and instead of helping her they questioned why I was not there when in fact she had the ATM card its PIN number and all the other details.

                                  My mother had to literally shout to get the attention of the staff. Finally, the branch manager came and asked her to submit a complaint on phone banking. But that was of no help and finally after 12 days we were asked to e-mail the complaint on grievance.[protected]@hdfcbank.com which I did on Dec 24.

                                  I was told that sometimes it takes time for the machine to put out the cash but I stayed at both the ATMs for at least ten minutes after the transactions were declined, but nothing came out.

                                  Further, we were told that the transaction amounting to Rs.10,000 will take some time as it involves an Axis bank ATM but the second transaction of Rs. 4,000 took place at an HDFC bank ATM and it will be “resolved at the earliest.”

                                  When I visited the branch manager again on Dec 26 to enquire about the status of my complaint related to Rs. 4,000, surprisingly the lady told me that the request for Rs. 2,000 had been sent for consideration. Rs 2,000? Who made her the manager of the bank when she can’t even note down a figure properly.

                                  So, in my e-mail to grievance.[protected]@hdfcbank.com, written on Dec 24, I demanded the CCTV footage of that night. On Dec 29 I got a call from one of their executives, Saransh and he informed me that as the CCTV footage was not clear they can’t make out if someone other than me took away my cash.

                                  So, is it my fault that HDFC ATM’s do not have proper CCTV’s installed? Should I have not opened an account with the bank? Or Should I have not used the ATM?

                                  Going by the excuses given by the executives and branch officers, I can safely say that they wanted to tell me that nothing was wrong on their part and maybe I should forget my Rs. 14,000.

                                  P.S. I am a ‘Classic Customer’ of HDFC Bank and have also provided with a personal banker. So, if a ‘Classic Customer’ is treated this way, I wonder what the regular ones have to go through.

                                    HDFC Ergo has issued Health Insurance policy to me without my consent, and amount is being debited through my HDFC Credit card directly.
                                    also i have write mail to customer care but no response is received.
                                    After that i have filed complaint to IRDA after that representative of HDFC Ergo is following up for cancellation. and refunding me after deducting proportionate amount but why it is cancelled because its not issued with my consent.
                                    also representative of HDFC told me that they will send me the copy of telephone recording but they did not send me.


                                    A Strict action has to be taken against such companies in Public Interest and an application should be filled for cancellation of Insurance and banking license of such companies.
