Insurance Agent working in HDFC Branch in Ahmedabad, Gujarat sold me one policy, with annual premium of 15,000. I asked him so many questions before applying for the policy. He answered me few and all was lie. After that he started talking sweet and told me that " Sir, You dont have to worry about it. Once your policy is approved you will get booklet, you read the booklet with your convenience and you if you are unhappy with the terms and condition. call me I will come to your office and collect cancel request and your money will be returned." I believed him and singed up for the policy and gave him the check.
Upon reading terms and condition in policy booklet which I received after a week at my office I found that I am being cheated by HDFC Bank. I called that agent and told me that you have lied to me and this is not the policy I wanted. He again lied to me and said, " Sir you have to personally go to main branch to complete cancel request with your ID, Photograph, 1 Cancelled check and Policy booklet." I again asked him " at the time of selling policy you came to my office and also told me that if I am not happy just make a call and I will collect it?? what happened now. I called him for another 5 days but he never showed up and kept requesting me, Sir please do not cancel it, please keep it. Also, he told me that Sir, you have go their personally, you cant send your employee or office boy for this. They will check your id and than only they will process your cancel request.
Then I went to head office of HDFC Bank main branch, stand in a line for 1 hour with NO Air Conditioner, sweating. Moreover when I got my turn Printer stopped working and I had to again wait for 1 hour. Meanwhile they asked me to come tomorrow. But I did not wanted to delay, because 1 month trial period was near end. My whole experience was full of harassment by HDFC. I will not forget this HDFC cheating with me for whole life. If it would have happened in any other country I would have sued HDFC Bank and received thousands of dollars for mental harassment and poor customer service.
In the conclusion I would like to say that. Stop cheating customers and provide better customer services. You are earning Billions of Dollars through customers only. Beware of HDFC life insurance or HDFC ULIP policies.

I would like to inform you that I have sent a cross cheque through Air tel mobile service for my ECS system approval for my mobile no; [protected] for processing on 14th July 2011, from Airtel Company to your head office. After seven days later I got to know from my home branch that did not receive any ECS appliaction from Airtel so i have contact in airtel they said they have already sent to HDFC head office for my ECS.
So i have gone to my Home branch and compalint about this ECS thing then I have called and spke to customer service also put a complaint on 6th august 2011 about my about my ECS failure from Home branch of HDFC.
So I got a call from Richa of HDFC customer service from that she will contact Airtel and do the ECS asap and I have given every details of mine to her. Her mo no is [protected]. she said it will be done by one week max.
But sorry to say nothing happened from HDFC branch till date.
Sorry to say your Vasundhara Enclave Branch Delhi 110096 does know anything abouit ECS thing and they do not help customer for anything and for your kind info I am your calssic account hoder.
And also we have our family and parents accounts also in this home branch so if suitable action will not be taken so I have to withdraw all accounts from HDFC home barnch.
