Last year, I wanted to invest and did not want any Insurance Policy.
Still one HDFC SL Policy was mis-sold to me by HDFC Bank representative (name can be provided), as non-insurance Investment.
Two Premiums (Rs 50,775 + 50,775) have been taken from me, and I did not know the Policy Number, nor I have the Policy document with me.
Not only this, I had asked to close this Policy within the Free-look period but there was no action.
On various requests and follow-ups, I somehow got the Policy no as : 14505016 , But still don't have the Policy document with me.
Can you help me on this, and take the appropriate actions on this Policy.
I think I have all the right to hold atleast the Policy document, if the premium is deducted from my account without my consent.
Need to take this up with IRDA also.
Everytime I check this with HDFC Life or Grievance redressal cell of HDFC bank, I am provided with Complaint ID, but no action yet.

HDFC bank has given a NRI loan and now they are expecting that the customer will fly from US to India to do the ECS. I agree with you, this is really silly and rediculous. I have never face such a silly bank. Many time through the HDFC portal, I have communicated the same message to HDFC bank that this is a NRI loan and just for the ECS I can't fly down but it is of no use.
The people of the bank needs proper training and mostly the collection centers, who don't even know what is going on and start calling here and there for the payments.
