Hi,

I am rajul mishra. My Salary Account No. is [protected]. I've deposited a cheque on 11th of July 2009 and is not credited in my account yet. I've written to the bank 2 times previuosly. I just wanna know is this a bank or something else. At the time of account opening last year one of the bank agents take my form and the account was activated after two months of that. After that on 11th of July I've deposited a cheque at Noida sector 26 branch. However, the cheque was wrongly delivered to some other place and returned back. The Bank then put my cheque again for clearance and hence it is not cleared yet. Actually my case has become a comedy. The guys overthere in the bank entertain us as an easy bay. They don't think that these type of conducts give wrong message to the society. If my cheque will not be credited by today then I'll definitely sue on the bank in Consumer Forum. As I am a resident of lucknow and working with an organization at noida I'm suffering from severe financial crisis.

salaried saving account — deposited cheque not cleared by bank from last 1 month

This is to inform you that I have a saving account in Axis bank (A/C No. [protected]). on 12th sep 2008 i dropped a cheque amounted 5000 Rs. (Cheque NO. 814011) at the lawrence road ATM Branch of AXIS Bank.But till the date no action had been taken by the bank to clear my cheque Amont.

So knidle take an appropriate action to solve my concern.

Salary Account — cheque not cleared

I deposited my salary cheque on[protected] in ATM centre in kalamboli but its still not cleared the cheque number is 017956. The cheque is in he name of Anand Tandari . drawn by Accord Fintech pvt ltd.

    I was working with HDFC BANK LTD as a Sales executive, My Employee code was CM12371, I have resigned from the job on[protected] but till today (completion of 5 months) I have not received the cheque of my provident fund, which deducted of every month with my salary. and even they did not provide me PF number.

    I've submitted my whole documentation which is need for disburse the amount of pf in your head office, but till today (after comletion of 5 months) I have not got it.

    Kindly confirm the status of my PF other wise I'll go to the court for case of the company or I'll send the notice to you.

    Do it as soon as possible and needful

    i worked with hdfc bank as a customer care officer. i worked their from Sep 08 - to Nov 09- in shalimar bagh branch . my employee code was CD 11418. i did alot to get my provident fund. but their is not at all a resolution.

    with due respect. I am Piyush Sahni. i was working as CONTRACT SALES EXECUTIVE in Bareilly Branch (0860) U.P. from 09-11-12 to 31-03-13. my employee code was 104535 & my salary a/c is [protected].this is my query that till yet i do not receive my provident fund. i request my team manager & branch manager many times, last they provided me paper, i had send them to their given place but yet i have not received any processing report of it till date. Today 10.08.2013 i went to branch again branch manager and my mentor had been transferred to other place. i requested the branch manager to help on the concern matter. he provided me the papers again which i had already sent to Mumbai I Pad office earlier. now i am requesting you to release provident fund as soon as possible in my salary a/c.

      Hi Sir,
      I have an account in HDFC BANK, M. G. Road, Bangalore. On 02/07/09 i made fund transfer through HDFC net banking to my Dad's account(SBI, B.S.City, jharkhand) of Rs.5000. But that has not been credited to my Dad's account till now. When i asked HDFC about this they are saying that it was a successful transaction, please consult SBI(Beneficiary account). When consulted to SBI they are saying that they don't know anything about this transaction and please consult HDFC Bank. Again i consulted to HDFC Bank and asked about transaction, but they are saying that "It was a successful transaction and they submitted my request of transfer to RBI on the same day(02/07/09)".
      The problem is that my Dad didn't received any money till now and both banks saying go consult other bank.
      I am in between both banks but my problem is not solved.
      I want you to help me in solving this problem because my Dad is in need of money. Please help.

      Yesterday I was trying to pay my premium through net banking but everytime it was showing transaction has failed, tried atleast 4-5 times, so I thought first pay the premium, Once again tried and get success it showed transaction is successful.         I had a credit card with HDFC. Around 2 years ago the same was settled and the card was returned to them. HDFC can very well check in their records if they have any transaction on this card for lastt 2 years. After the settlement, I had not received a single call or a bill from them till date.

        But look at the way these smart guys deal with the customers. Today all of a sudden Mr. Gupta from HDFC (calls himself as a manager), called me saying that I have to pay them a sum of 65000 against my credit card. He slowly stated HARRASING me with his phone calls and DHAMKIS. In the entire day he must have made around 20 calls to me asking me to speak with many different people who call said they are lawyers (one of them is Vikram Rana).

        When he started pressuring me, I asked my husband to speak with him. When my husband wanted to talk with him, he refused and said that my husband was harrasing him by calling him... look at the PUN here... Who is harrasing whom is the question that arises.

        Later he sends me a message on my cell giving DHAMKIS saying wait and watch I shall do with you. I am staying alone in Mumbai with a small kid. If anything happens to me, I shall hold HDFC responsible for the same.

        When I did not listen to all his DHAMKIS, he then chose to speak with my husband (who was initially harrasing him) and tried pressuring him.

        He kept on telling me that he will file a legal case against me and send the police to my office. Mr. Gupta then called my manager and spoke to him on the issue, trying to create pressure on me thru my seniors. Firstly this is my personal matter, why should they involve my work colleagues in this. This is to spoil my reputation at work and make my life more difficult. If I lose my job I again hold hdfc responsible for this.

        This is such an unprofessional behavior shown by them. Mr. Gupta was not ready to speak with me properly and was continouly abusing my husband.

        This is a shameful act done by HDFC... How can they harrass a person all of a sudden after 2 years without any notice or any kind of bill being sent to me...

        On top of that he claims that he had sent a executive to my house who was beaten up by us...

        This is too much... He is just trying to create a scene out of nothing and trying to prove his point.

        I am living here alone with my kid and now I am really scared of his DHAMKIS and I threat of my life...

        Somebody needs to take this up with HDFC and help me sort out this issue.

        I am specialist in settlement, have resolved more than 1572 cases .Credit card debth will be taken care and highest waiver possible .
        Any personal loan issues also do not hesitate to contact me.

        You should know your right, Collection Agents are not supposed to Harass or annoy the defaulters however chronic the default be.

        I am trying to help my citizens to fall in trap and thankyou to Consumer Court team for giving me this platform .

            Dear Sir,

            I have a Savings Bank Account No.[protected] with your bank for several years. I have been making withdrawals from different ATMs at different locations but never had a problem. Surprisingly, on last Saturday i.e. on 11.07.2009 at about 7.30 P.M. I used my card to draw Rs.10, 000/- but the machine dispensed 18 (Eighteen) notes of Rs. 500/- each and 5 (Five) notes of Rs.100/- each – none of the notes was a new one.

            I was shocked and tried to inform over phone but, by that time, Phone Banking Services were not available. On Monday morning I informed over phone about the short delivery of cash and requested to check and credit Rs.500/- (short delivered amount) to my account.

            Today, I received a phone call from the bank expressing its inability to do anything in the matter. This is an undue loss to me for no fault of mine. Has the amount been drawn at the bank- counter and had there been a short cash delivery, a complaint could be made then and there and the culprit could be caught immediately.

            I again request you to look into your system, machines and personnel and trace the error as it does not much financially but much more impacts the trust the customers have in a banker and its procedure.

            In your case you will have to contact the bank whose ATM you were operating, giving them the account details of the Debit card you were using. Once they find the discrepency in the cash disbursement from the ATM machine, they will refund it back to the same account.

            The bank should be able to trace this at the EOD settlement and the money should be back in his account. It would take sometime as Bank would need to dig out the cash totals from the ATMs and not all of the ATMs are maintained by banks.

            Please be also advised to keep the slips containing the error messages handy though, in case they were required.

            Trust this would suffice.

              Subject : Once again request to waive off the flawed charges asked in the credit card statements from past few months.

              Dear Sir,

              I am writing this letter to you after visiting your office at Rajouri Garden on 29th June, 2009. I am having a very bad experience with your Credit Card department as well as the Bank also. I am holding a credit card of your bank bearing credit card no. [protected] and my salary account is in the name of Neeraj Gupta and my Account No. is [protected]. I am not using your credit card anymore since 06th Jan, 2009. But you are charging the flawed charges in the name of Financial charges in each and every statement thereafter every month.

              I talked to your many customer care executives and every time they have assured me that the extra charges will be waived off in my next statement and asked me to pay my actual buying amount and so I did the same but I did not get what I want from them. Even I had sent a request letter, as asked by Mr. Dixit on 13th Nov, 2008, by fax on 20th Nov, 2008 to waive off the flawed charges for Rs. 2, 133.25 regarding these charges but instead of this there was no response once again. So I decided not to use your bank credit card anymore. Once again the same letter is attached for your reference and record.

              But instead of this you have charged the flawed charges in each and every statement. In 02nd May, 2009 month statement this figure was Rs.7, 334. My Last payment was Rs. 6, 936/- on 24th Dec, 2008 as per your statement dated 02nd Jan, 2009. But total due in the statement was Rs.10, 055.36.

              Now a new dispute has been created by your Bank as I have my salary account with HDFC Bank and My Car Loan (Car Loan No.[protected] was also sanctioned by the same bank. My EMI for Rs. 4, 605 deducted by ECS on 07th of every month. Therefore I have to maintain EMI amount every month in my bank account. But in May my balance was 4, 384.45. From which, without any information, the credit card department had deducted Rs. 4, 384.45 as there credit card dues. And thereafter my balance was NIL. And no amount was left for my next EMI, because of which I had to deposit my car loan EMI for the month of June in the Safdarjung Enclave Branch by cash and faced lot of inconvenience. Who is responsible for this? This is very shameful act that a Bank deducted the amount without the permission of the Account Holder. How could you do this to a valued customer? Isn’t this a criminal offence?

              Now I am telling you my actual buying amount and the flawed amount once again.

              My actual buying for which I have not paid is as per following table.

              And you have deducted Rs. 4, 384.45 on 25th May, 2009 and Rs.11.47 on 01st July, 2009. Total amount deducted by you is Rs. 4, 395.92 from my salary account without my wish.

              Now in the current statement i.e. 02nd June, 2009 credit card statement is showing Rs. 3, 171.99 is still due from my side after deducting Rs.4, 395.92 from my salary account which is absolute rubbish. Instead of this the credit card department has to refund my balance amount i.e. Rs. 1, 917.92 which it has deducted from my salary account.

              I have suffered a lot since September, 2009. If it would have been corrected in the early days then this would not had been happened and my relation with your bank would not have been so worse. If this problem will not be resolved from your side as soon as possible then I have no way left except the Consumer Court.

              At last I request you solve this matter once and for all and I want to keep your credit card for future use but without any dispute from our side.

              Dear Sir,

              I am holding a credit card of your bank bearing credit card no. [protected]. My credit card limit is Rs. 50, 000/-. But it got exceeded to Rs. 55, 440.97 while doing purchasing in the month of September. Therefore you have charged overlimit fee of Rs. 500/- in September statement, which is not my fault. How can a person know for how much he has shopped for? The card must have been declined for the further payments until and unless the credit limit for purchase is exceeding.

              For this extra charges of overlimit fee, I talked to your customer care person Mr. Amit Kumar on 07/09/2008 and he promised me to waive off the same.

              Unfortunately when I dropped my cheque for Rs.55, 000/- vide cheque No. 481238 for the same I forgot to mention the date on the cheque and hence it was dishonored by your bank. And again you sent me a new statement for following charges:-

              Finance Charges Retail 1, 777.59
              Service Tax 345.31
              Cess Tax 10.35

              In this regard I talked to your customer care person Ms. Kalpana on 13/10/2008 and she also promised me to waive off the same.

              And one more time in your next statement for the month of November you have charged Rs.347.00 as Finance Charges. Why you charge these financial charges in your statements?

              For this matter I again talked to your customer care executive Mr. Dikshit on 13/11/2008. On that day your system was not working so he suggest me to fax a letter in this regard.

              Therefore I request you to waive off all these extra charges which is amounting to Rs. 2, 980.25.

                Hello all,

                Previously i was using a hdfc credit card. And i believe i paid all my bills but still i ma getting bills and i don't know whay. The worst thing is i raises several complaints via mail and phone but no response till date. I have never received a single print copy of my ills till date at my place.

                After one year of mail/phone complaints i was totally fed up with the bills. Then i decided to visit the nearest bank for help. Bank ppl registered a written complaints. The after 2 days i got a call from the bank but due to network problem it some disconnected. The immediately i got a mail mentioning the same and to pay bills immediately.

                In the written complaints i asked the bank to arrange a representative o clear my doughs and bill asap.

                Bit till date nobody contacted me.

                I don't know what to do.

                Please help me.

                  dear sir/madam

                  i had obtained a loan of rs 4 lakh from HDFC home loan kota in 2007.my application no is[protected].monthly emi was 4758.which i duely paid.on july6 2009 i have setteled all my outstandings with the bank .i paid 304078 rs by PNB cheque no 531344 of bhimganj mandi KOTA. even after two and half month when there is nothing outstanding against me HDFC is not willing to return my property papers.i have wasted my many working days but all in vain.i call them but staff just reply that we have mailed to jaipur office.

                  i am unable to understand why this attitude?

                  I had taken housing loan from Deutsche Postbank Home Finance Ltd. on 25.06.2007 and repaid the outstanding amount including prepayment charges in full on 30.06.2009. But, they are not returning the original documents of my property on the plea that they have not received the original papers of the property tll date.

                  Kindly help me in getting back the original documents and refund of prepayment charges.

                    I am an A/c Holder ( SB : [protected] ) of Saltlake Sec -II HDFC Branch . I have a Zero Balance salary savings a/c which opened for crediting salary when I was working for Visioncomptech . I am no more working with Visioncomptech . Till last quater the a/c status was showing as salary savings a/c and the said a/c is carring some credit balance .

                    But for this quater ( April-June) Bank has deducted Rs 827.25 as 'AQB SER CHGS INC ST & CESS APR-JUN2009' without informing me that the a/c is no more Zero Balance Savings . Though I am getting my a/c statement in time to my postal address . So there is no question of 'Address problem' from my end . I spoke to Customer servive desk, they are saying that the intemation is sent to your e-mail address, This e-mail address is belong to Visioncomptech email address and no access is to this email, as I already left the company what I maintained earlier, more this email is non editable from my end .

                    For every communication bank is sending the mail to my Postal address only, But for this they are saying they are sending it to email . Is this only to take money from my a/c to HDFC'c A/c ?

                      I have a credit card of HDFC Bank. At 15/05/2009 I got a message alert on my mobile regarding to purchase in Big Bazaar. Immediately I checked my card that was not in my wallet and I called to HDFC Customer care to block the card. After that a bank employee came to meet me and took the signature on dispute form. I submit it with FIR copy. At that time he told me about the detail (use and time o[censored]ses) of all transaction done by my card on 15 may. There were four transactions on that day. And bank sent me the message on forth (last transaction). And also told that “You have to pay the amount”. After the blocking the card on the next day (16 May) it was swapped in Reliance fresh that is opposite to Bombay hospital and that transaction is cancelled due to block of the card. This information gave by employee and told “I am unable to go there because of decline of transaction so you may go and check on the security camera”. After that I went to Reliance fresh. But I got no clue. Then I went to HDFC bank to told about that at that time they told me that person try two times on the ATM. One on 13 may at Alankar Point. The second ATM of HDFC at opposite to Magdut Garden. Than I told “this time we caught the culprit”. Then he told “There is no security camera on that ATM”. After the investigation they send me a later that according to “Zero Liability” this is my mistake and I have to pay the amount.

                      I want to draw your kind attention towards the employee of your bank (Ms.Sonia and Pooja) who are not having any manners that how to deal with your cleints.

                      I was out of India from last one month and due to one small amount, she calls in our office and started using rude language and abusive words with our staff members.
                      Is this the way of dealing with your customers ?

                      Your bank is in the list of reputed banks in India and your employees use to speak like this..and when i talk to Ms.Pooja she also use to behave like Ms.Sonia.

                      In this way you will loose your customer as well as your reputation in the market..and i will not pay the balance amount as your employees dnt have manners how to talk with customers..

                      i joined your esteemed org. on 20th aug 2009 as the sales executive with the salary of Rs 8.5K/month. i worked with my T.L naming Sambhu Dayal & ASM Ruchitam Pandey at roopnagar branch New Delhi. it's bad to inform you that for asking about the code from joining date, they everytime responded about the short time commencement but it took more than one month i.e 23rd sept.2009
                      one more thing, when asking about salary both are forcing me to resign and most importantly, that from the 2nd dec. they are not allowing me to get in into the branch and also not taking my cases(clients) to be dispatched.they also scared to make me in absconding if i will no resign.
                      In short i am making you aware-
                      On 8th dec only I got Rs13000 & from 20th Aug I had took only 2 days of leave due to fever & they cant give me the satisfied answer for given only
                      1. my clients are not being considered by them from 2nd Dec.
                      2..got my offer letter when my sallary has credited on the base of basic salary Rs.7000 whereas I had appointed on the basic salary of Rs.8.5k

                      3.Rs.1286 has been deducted from my credited salary Rs.13, 164 on 23rd december & reason have been given that I had terminated on 24th nov. But till now I have not gotten my termination letter . Which confused me totally that what is the real matter.

                      4. the reason of termination has been given wordly that I was not report my seniors which is totally false

                      so, sir /madam humbly I want to confirm from your side that what can I do in this situation

                        i have been getting threatning call from hdfc bank, iam a student and i was given card by hdfc bank now as iam not able to make the payment, they are calling at my land line number and harassing my parents and some times they say that we are calling from delhi high court and ask rishi to make the payment .i have told them many times that after six months i will get a job then i will settle the account .last time also they came to my home and told my mom to give the money otheerwise the consequence will not be good so my mom paid the money(minimum amount).now daily these people are calling on my landline and mobile number and threatning me and my parents

                          I have been a CC holder with HDFC BANK for over 5 years and have never faced such abusive and threatening calls for recovery.

                          This agent from tel. number has not only been abusive but also talking of dire consequences for a delayed payment even when assured that the payments will be made in 3 days since I am out of town.

                          While it is common that such complaints and grievances do not carry any weight and will be treated as yet another trash by general public who continues to suffer either at the hands of terror agents.

                          This kind of abuse from a respected institution like HDFC Bank or its gang member is very hurting.

                          He has not tell me his name and collection agency name on phone.

                              Unwanted call from HDFC credit Card department

                              I am using Airtel prepaid conection and always call comes from HDFC Credit Card Department that I hold a credit card and my over due payment is left but never I had got credit card and never applyed this kind of things. I am Govt Emp in Survey of India as GIS Analys Engineer and I only use ICICI debet card.
                              I have a complain from this no[protected] & [protected] his name is Jitender and some time he unneccessary give missed calls and abusive in the phone. I had called police 100 and told them but nothing happend I am planing to take a good action for this now.

                              I just want that you pls inquire into this and make some arrangement so that he/she is not able to call/msg on my number.

                              I will charge this things to HDFC Credit Card Department for abusing and unneccesary calls in my number.

                              HDFC Credit Card — unwantd Calls

                              I am 75 years old staying in housing society in Mumbai suburbs, for past two days I am getting calls from HDFC Bank om my MTNL landline asking me to visit the neighbour and ask him to pay the Credit Card Bill. The neighbour in question is out of town still HDF bank is harassing like anything . They usually call during the afternoon time. Now I am thinking to disconnect the line . The MTNL connection was taken for my personal use nor I am on HDFC Bank Collection Team payroll. They had taken my number from the MTNL directory after checking my name in the Building name plate Now if sonething happens to me during illness as I am disconnecting the Connection because of their harassment HDFC Bank would be solely responsible for it

                              Sub: Complaint Against HDFC Bank Credit Card Division

                              Dear Sir,


                              I regret to inform you and for your kind notice that I was holding and HDFC Bank Credit Card vide no: [protected]. In that card, my credit limit was Rs.2, 38, 000/- and after that Bank has revised and reduced the Credit Limit from Rs.2, 38, 000/- to Rs.1, 77, 000/-. I have used my Credit Limit and I have already paid Rs.2, 77, 371/- against my Card as per their statement dated 17.03.2010. I had no outstanding against my Card. Only some Interest Charges were Lying in my Card.

                              On that basis, I have requested to Bank to settle and convert my some Interest dues amount sympathetically in to fresh simple EMI after reversing all the Late fees, Extra Interest Charges and the unnecessary fees charged by the Bank Intentionally. Due to my tremendous financial problem, I was not in position to submit my children’s school fees and house rent also which already I had discussed this matter frequently to their customer care executive over phone & at least 14 to 15th times and sent 14th to 15th frequent reminder letters also.

                              If you see the Receipts & Payments A/c of my Card, from beginning to end then you can easily observe that, I have made already over and excess payment against my used amount through card. If you see my accounts I have already paid the excess amount which the money I have used through Card. If the bank waive my unjustified Interest and Late fees, then nothing outstanding will be pending against my card. Which amount I have used against my Credit Card, Out of that, I have made excess payment against my used amount.

                              Being a preferred customer for long time, I have changed my address, phone no etc honestly. As a result of which, their Recovery agency/goons have started to hassle me mentally and also my wife, not only that, they also used abusive and very rough language over phone and came to my office and insulted me in the front of everybody with very abusive and slang language and told me to make the payment immediately, otherwise they will attack me and my family with their team and told me that, they will thrash me in the front of my society and also told me that they will abolish me from my job. I am a very simple Private Company’s employee and simple middle class family. That incident happened for last 5 to 6 months. After completion of their mental and physical harassments, HDFC Bank has sent the Legal court notice to my address. I am a very simple and middle class family member and a very simple employee of a private company. Bank continuously pressurized me to take the credit card.

                              Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank .Please tell me, Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                              My Credit Limit was Rs.1, 77, 000/- and I have paid Rs.2, 77, 371/-. If my intention was bad then, why I will make the payment for Rs.2, 77, 371/-. Their Intention is how to raise the Interest amount and late fees unnecessary and pressurize to customer mentally. Trying to claim huge amount intentionally from customer, that is the practice of HDFC bank . Is it a Reputed Bank ???

                              Due the tremendous mental harassment to me and my family, My wife is not well and she also feels very insecurity. Please help me and my family from HDFC Bank’s Credit Card nuisance.

                                i am sub lieutenant shashank trivedi...i am a naval officer in indian navy...posted at karwar karnataka...there is no hdfc bank or atm in this town...i did a transaction of 10000 rs from sbi atm...the money gt deducted bt i didnt get the amount...i registered a complaint in hdfc complaint desk...and they said that after 12 working days the amount will be credited to my account but on the 13th day they call me up and say that the transaction which i did was successful and the money will not be credited back...what should i do now

                                Sir,

                                On 09.11.2009, I operated Syndicate Bank ATM at Sector 17, Vashi, Navi Mumbai using HDFC Bank debit card [Ref (ii)] to withdraw Rs. 4000/-. Since I could not get cash from the machine, I reported the matter to the ATM Security. As per his advice I operated the machine again for Rs. 4000/- withdrawal and I could get this time. While there was no provision to get mini statement from Syndicate ATM, I went to HDFC Bank ATM at Sector 17, Vashi within 20 minutes and I found the withdrawals of Rs. 4000/- twice. The matter was brought to the notice of Syndicate Bank at Vashi Turbhe Branch at APMC, Vashi.(Mr. R.Jyothis Kumar Asst Manager and M/s Prasanna). As per their advice I gave a written complaint along with withdrawal slip( Syndicate Bank ATM) and mini statement(HDFC Bank ATM). It was agreed by them to sort out the issue. Subsequently they demanded A/c statement from HDFC Bank. The same was also furnished on[protected]. On November 14, 2009, it was informed by the Syndicate Bank officials that I should take up the matter with HDFC Bank only.

                                In view of the above I am submitting this application to sort out the issue and credit Rs. 4000/- which was debited by the faulty functioning of ATM of Syndicate Bank at Vashi.

                                Kindly acknowledge this complaint and let me know the progress early.

                                  This is for your information that I have received a letter against the loan account no 12176844 on 5/6/2009 from “HDFC Bank Ltd. RETAIL ASSET DIVISION GILLANDER HOUSE, 1ST FLOOR A 1, 8 N S ROAD”. It is noticed that in that particular letter HDFC Bank Ltd. clearly indicated “we shall recover the possession of the said vehicle in the event you failed to pay the whole of the amount Rs. 3, 077.00”.

                                  I am unable to know the reason for making the payment of Rs. 3077.00 to HDFC Bank Ltd. without any cheque bounce & other reason duly informed to me with proper evidence like cheque return memo since my bank statement with account no [protected] (Axis Bank Ltd.) shows there is no cheque bounce as such.

                                  It is requested to shows some evidence for making payment since I already gave the PDCs (Post Dated Cheque) on date 5/3/2008. This is only harassing me & my family, since my parents are the aged person. There is endless call received for making the payment are herewith “[protected], [protected], [protected]”.

                                  My intension for making the payment of Rs. 2288 without any charges since HDFC Bank Ltd still not provide any evidence for cheque bounce or other reason. It is like a water color picture with the tenure of 17 month not a single cheque bounce case appears.

                                  My name is Vivek Iyer and I had been using HDFC bank credit card for several years. Due to tough situations that I have gone through over the last 3-4 years I was forced to settle the account for an amount of 50000/- in April 2008.

                                  However, I was one of those who got laid off from work in Sept 08 and have been able to get employed only a few days ago. Hence there still is an amount of approx Rs. 22000/- which is due on my account from the then made settlement agreement, which I am willing to pay.

                                  I got a call from one of your collection exec. Anup on 17/12/09 who called me from[protected] threatening me about the status of my account and the consequences of not paying. This call was made to my landine number on which I asked him to call me on my mobile number [protected]. I told him about the situation and that I have secured employment and would be able to pay it off gradually.

                                  I once again got a call from Anup, who was very aggressive and told me to arrange for an amount of Rs. 30000/- by the 25th of December. I repeatedly kept on telling him that I would get paid on the 7th of January and would be able to make any payment arrangement only by that date. He abruptly hungup by telling me that he would call back by 5 pm today.

                                  While I completely understand that it is my moral responsibility to pay, and I promise to do so, however there certainly is no room for harassment calls like these which could force a customer to have suicidal tendencies.

                                  This certainly is not an attempt to evade the debt, but I wanted to highlight the gaps in the processes. I request your immediate attention to this issue and a amicable solution to the same.

                                    HDFC Ltd. is illegaly charging higher home loan interest rate from its old customers whereas they are wooing new customers by offering them home loans at lower interest rates.                                     Bank to pay Rs 1 lakh for overhauling loan account

                                    CHANDIGARH: Deciding a complaint filed by Panchkula resident Birbhan Goyal, the consumer forum held on Tuesday that enhancement in the rate of interest in the case of home loan is illegal and unwarranted. Imposing a penalty of Rs one lakh, which the bank will pay to Goyal, the forum said, ‘The bank is directed to overhaul accounts of all its loanees and bring the rate of interest at par with those at which the loan (home) is advanced to new customers from time to time, so that all its customers, whether old or new, who have opted for adjustable rate of interest pay the same rate of interest during any particular period.’

                                    Stating that the finance company and the bank adopted unfair trade practice, the forum, headed by Jagroop Singh Mahal, held, ‘Whenever enhancement takes place, the rate would not be more than that at which loans are being advanced to new customers, meaning thereby that if after enhancement, loan is advanced to any new customer at a lower rate, the rate of interest of the complainant and all other loanees would also come down to the same level.’

                                    After completing all formalities needed to avail a loan, Goyal entered into an agreement with a home finance company and the bank. A loan of Rs 37 lakh, which was to be paid in 180 instalments in a period of 15 years, was sanctioned and he started paying the instalments from March 2005 onwards on a regular basis. However, a letter took him by surprise in August 2008. The letter allegedly stated that the repayment schedule through EMIs was being revised to increase the repayment time from 180 to 502 months. He immediately approached the bank?s local branch and requested cancellation of the payment rescheduling but to no avail.

                                    Denying allegations, ICICI Home Finance Company Ltd and ICICI Bank Limited, in their written reply, pleaded that the complainant had opted for floating rate of interest and due to increase in it, they had increased the tenure of repayment of monthly instalments to reduce the financial burden on Goyal.

                                    Arguing before the forum, Goyal’s counsel stated that the finance company and bank adopted unfair trade practice by increasing rate of interest for old customers at a higher rate, whereas the prevailing rate of interest was much lower, which was depicted through their announcements and advertisements in the newspaper to attract new customers.

                                    After hearing the pleas, the forum held that the interest rate of any old loanee would be lowered to bring it at par with the interest rate at which the loan is advanced by the bank to its new customers.

                                    ICICI Home Finance Ltd — Tenure & Interests Rate of home loan

                                    I have taken a loan from ICICI Bank Home Finance Ltd in 2005 for an amount of INR 1400000 on Floating Rate of interest at 9.5 % p.a at that point of time for a tenure of 20 Yrs. My EMI at that time was INR 11300/- p.m. I have already completed 4 years of repayment of my loan tenure by today in 2009 without failing a single EMI till date.
                                    The first point of concern is that the current rate of Interests as of 8th December 2009 is showing as 11.5 % p.a which is much more that the rate other banks are offering and is declared by the RBI.
                                    The second point of concern is that my tenure has been increased from 20 yrs to 23 yrs even though I have already completed 4 years of repayment from 2005. My initial EMI was 11300/- p.m which was increased to 14825/- p.m for last 2 yrs and is now at 13825/- p.m in todays date. The bank is not reducing the Floating Rate of interest which is now at 11.5 % p.a even though instructed by RBI. Also, they asks to pay lump sum in order to reduce the interests rates as well as EMI. The banks are taking major advantage from this kind of loan and there is no authority to intervene & help common person.

                                    Your complaint is highly appreciated. All the customers of ICICI bank should have been made such a complaints to alert the icici bank regarding the customers feeling against the bank. In my case I have personally made a complaint with the customer care verbally and told them that they will be vanished from the market soon if their attitude remains the same.

                                    in your respective states and lodge a complaint against HDFC / ICICI and any such bank doing so.
                                    You may even file a police complaint againts bank for cheating. Just consult a lawyer - it will be resolved.

                                    I would like to make you alert on few details regarding HDFC and other limited companies.

                                    HDFC LTD is a limited company and is not a banking institute.
                                    It is a self regulated financial organization and is not at all regulated as a refinancing institute or is not a Banking institute. Sales officers makes people fool by stating HDFC Home loan as part of banking division. Even interest rates charged by HDFC is very high which is increased in subsequent years.

                                    As such rates of interests for home loan are definitely regulated by RBI but limited and private companies do not fall under their per-view. These companies fall under company Act and not under Banking Act.

                                    At time of taking loan these companies promises low rates of interest and then increases rates of interest in subsequent years, which increases your burden of repayment in form of slow poison eating your lots of money.

                                    I will share my personal experience:

                                    I have a very bad experience with HDFC, My loan of 11 lac with tenure was only 20 years and was promised with 3% discounted rates for my loan account as the company with which I was working was a corporate client of HDFC, so my loan started at 7.25% rate of interest and a low EMI of 8595/- Rs only.

                                    In later stages HDFC revised rates of interest stating that my loan is on floating rates, where as no discounted rates are applied to my account. More on no reduction in rates are done at all even when rates of interest of other banks and institutes fall down. Even when they offer low interest rates to new customers – on my inquiry they asked for a proceeding fees of almost 12 thousand rupees to revise the rates of interest.
                                    My EMI is also revised to 10, 526/- Rs and the tenure is now increased. Today even after paying EMI for more then 6 years my tenure of repayment is more then 18 years and EMI is increased from 8695/- Rs per month to 10526/- Rs per month. So I will end up paying money to HDFC for more then 24 years.

                                    So I will end up paying four additional years with new EMI to HDFC which will make me a loss of almost 10-12 lac rupees.

                                    HDFC is offering new customer 8.25 rates of interest where as even when I am a old customer with corporate tie up with the company – I am charged almost 11% rates of interest and I am screwed up by paying more EMI.

                                    I have started legal proceedings against HDFC – and warn you all that dont take loan from HDFC other wise your people will also end up in soup and will have to pay huge for small things.

                                    REQUEST YOU ALL TO TAKE LOANS ONLY FROM BANKING INSTITUTES AND NOT FROM ANY LTD COMPANY--
                                    Ask following questions at time of taking loan.

                                    1.Is the company having word “Bank” in its name.
                                    2.If the company is refinancing company - take in written that – rates of interest in the company will be regulated as per RBI norms.
                                    3.Only those people whose files are not getting approved from banks and documents are not clear enough and are in need of loan should opt for such institutes, but mind it these ltd companies slowly increases rates of interest and eats away your lots of money charging high rates of interest.

                                    PLEASE NOTE – HDFC is a limited company and not a BANK. Only banking institutes or company with word “Bank” in its name are regulated by RBI.
                                    Before signing any document of ltd company please read the terms and conditions completely and take a lawyers advise if needed before going ahead to sign the same.

                                    Please disseminate this information to all your friends and relatives so that they are not cheated by any private company in case of loans / home loans.

                                    My father has taken loan of Rs10 lakh from icicibank in 2006 with ROI 9.25% for tenure period of 15yrs & after 2months ROI was raised to 10.25% & now in 2011 when i asked my few information in call centre THAT EXECUTIVE SAID THAT OUT TENURE IS RAISED FROM 180 MONTHS TO 424 MONTHS (15 to approx 35 yrs) & ROI IS 12.50% bec they have not raised our E.M.I thatswhy tenure is been raised but as i have seen one year back amortization statement which i got from bank which describe every month principal, interest & installement amount..i have seen as ROI is increasing they are decreasing the amount of principal & increasing the amount of interest then why they have increased our tenure period from 15yrs to 35yrs...& according to them we have paid only 25000 as a principal amount & more than 5lakh as interest...my father is very depressed, my father was thinking to take more loan for his business but now we are stuck on existing tenure period & ROI...PLZ HELP ...WHAT SHOULD I DO...PLZ HELP..if i switch over to indian bank or sbi bank fixed rate of loan should be preferable or not?

                                    Hi Pankaj Kakani,

                                    I also have the same problem.
                                    When i got the loan from HDFC, the interest rate was 11.25. Now it is 13.25. At the same time they offer new loan for 10.25(floating) anf 12(for fixed).

                                    In your previous post you have mentioned that you are going to take some legal action. I would like to know the status of that case because i am also planning to proceed with some legal action.

                                      2 weeks back I have lost my debit and credit card. I have informed the HDFC bank customer service to block my both the cards and they have done the same however after 2 days i have realized they have not blocked my card only but i m not able to do any online transactions as well from my account. The error which i m getting while using netbanking facility is "there is no Active ATM / Debit card linked to this account", therefore I am unable to take any money from my account. I have called the customer service and they said that its been done for my security however somebody should inform me in advance that if I block the card than I will not be able to access my account online however no one has given me that information. Due to my office work I could not manage to go to the branch to apply the new card and becuase of the same reason I was unable to pay my credit card min due amount of Rs. 3300 approximatley. Yesterday (8th July) i have received the call from the collection dept and they started threatning me and shouted at me. I was politely trying to make them understand that what is the problem and i will pay the amount asap once I get the cash from my account. I was in the middle of the meeting and they were harrasing me over the phone when i was talking to my clients. not only that they said if i dont pay the amount in 1 day i have to bear the consequnces, they can do anything with me. I have to disconnect the call because I was not able to tolerate the words which they were using. They said I am talking to a bank employee and they can talk the way they want. i am any roadside crap if they are the bank employee, does govt given them any title of padmabhushan or padmashree. Have they been given doctarte title becuase of their services to the country so what does "bank employee means". Suddenly after that i had called to HDFC Branch Manager - Bomannahali (Bangalore Hosur Road) and spoken to Sumati (Branch Manager) and explained her everything. I have given her the number from where i was getting the collection calls. Today (9th July) I went to one of the HDFC Branch (Bomanahalli - Hosur Road) and take the cash from my account and paid the payment in cash. however in the evening I have received the call from collection dept and they started harrasing me, and threatning me and used some of the abusive words as well. When i have asked them to be polite and speak to the bank manager as i do not wish to talk to them the lady name called Sona and Executive called Manuel said i have to be ready to bear the consequnces, and i dont know what they can do with me. They have told me I am the bank defaulter and a customer that should not have a respect to even have a bank account. Is this why we have private banks. Is this what I need to listen when i have lost my card and trying to manage without money. is this wat called a customer service which HDFC gives a commitment or advertisement of... This is simply demotivating, and painful to deal with HDFC. I am not a criminal who have done a big fraud ... I am supposed to pay 3000 rs and my 32000 right now is blocked in my saving account which i can not touch / use / take.

                                      Please do the needful as I am really been treted like a road side crap as a customer. I have been abused / threatned by the bank employee.

                                      My god.How rude this hdfc bank people are.
                                      I think you should go to police & lodge the complaint. This is what we call AA bail muze mar.Bank people chase us for credit cards & then their thugs chase us for money.
