    Terrible experience with HDFC Bank: I recently created a Groww account and linked my HDFC account for payments. On 11th August, I was making some MF purchases using online payment. After a couple of transactions, the bank blocked 2 of my payments mentioning it's a suspected fraudulent transaction, since a similar transaction has occurred a few moments back. HDFC bank apparently sent a failure message to Groww also. Hence in Groww, my transaction failed and I did not get the M[censored]nits. But HDFC bank still debited the money to my account. The money was not refunded. After waiting for 2-3 days, I wanted to log a complaint.
    From here my painful journey started. There's no easy way like use a menu option in netbanking to log a complaint. Hence I called the customer service, who declined to register the complaint.
    After arguing with them for 24 minutes and finally warning them that I will record the conversation from my side that customer support is refusing to log a complaint and escalate it to all levels, they logged a complaint no.
    I was given a ref no MUMC08222960 over phone but I did not get any mail ack for the complaint. After 2 days I got a call from the bank's support informing my request number 21503737 is logged and they observe that the money is transferred to the exchange and the exchange will refund it in due course. I asked for a written response to my ticket - which they again refused.
    Therefore, I had again to log tickets with Groww. When they asked for confirmation from the bank, I could only provide them my bank statement.
    Hence Groww also has to investigate the payment chain again. I was taken aback by the IT systems of HDFC bank and their general approach to their customers.My observations: A) HDFC Bank customer care needs a "convincing" to log a complaint.
    B) They call the customer complaints as "Requests". So probably they do their customers a favor when they look into the complaints.
    C)My transaction was aborted by HDFC bank but it seems, they cannot implement a "Transaction" where either both, the debit to my a/c and the M[censored]nits purchase happens together or does not happen at all.
    D)They use some stupid logic and that assumes transactions as fraudulent but don't think it's worthwhile instead, to implement something simpler, like asking for additional OTP confirmation. SBI uses this authentication very well.
    E)They don't think it is important for the customer to get written updates on the complaints logged.

    Another issue occurred on 23rd August. My account was debited with an amount with narration "ICCL WR CR REVERSAL". But the original Credit entry itself is not appearing in my bank statement.
    Then what is the debit for? I went to the bank's branch today to inquire. The response was "May be this related to some mutual fund purchase". But they themselves could not locate the original credit entry that is expected to be seen in the bank statement.
    Hence now I am back into the HDFC customer complaint lifecycle. I have to call them and go through the painful ordeal to get nothing in return!
    HDFC Bank, may be for you, the customer's time and money is of least importance. But for me it is. I do not want to go through this experience again.
    I immediately switched to SBI for online payments, I will close a few FDs that I have and will stop using your 'services'.
    I also hold a few equity shares of HDFC and now realize after this first-hand experience why HDFC stock is not faring well against competition. I have better experience with SBI and ICICI for netbanking.
    For me SBI branch services are not satisfactory, but ICICI definitely are. Also both of them provide much better netbanking than you.

              What is this charges?

              Now they are asking me a unjustified amount of Rs. 3019 on the purchase of product RS 18300/- Whose full amount was payed by me on the dated 18/03/2022. I have not purchased any product on EMI.
              This whole process of EMI charge on me is unjustified and illigal.
              I want this to be reversed.

              2. Apart from the above, i always used to pay the minimum balance due. It was never made clear that minimum balance due will attract interest. This is a very deceptive manner of charging interest. It should have been made clear that minimum due will only ensure that penal charges arent levied but interest is. High interest rate itself is a charge.

              3. I am using HDFC credit Card for last 10 years. I have cleared my all dues on time.

                    Hi HDFC Bank,

                    This is Ravi.I have taken a cash on call loan in 2019 from HDFc bank in year 2019. I was paying regularly without any miss. Due to bad financial situation I lost my job and become bankrupt.However I told multiple time to some of bank guys please provide me sometime to arrange the money to short this issue or if will not possible I will try to settle the account after arranging the Money.

                    But after that recovery guys entered they started calling me, my family, my friend and threating them. They call anytime and started abusing word. Started calling from internet calling.

                    I just wanted to do the complaint in those people they are harrassing mentally and physically

                    I request to Bank to setup a meeting with any decent manager of HDFc bank and I am ready to talk and resolve the issue asap.

                      In 2017, I was issued a credit card on my salary account, and the mailing address was my work place which is a a school. Within 1 year I quit that job. But I never received any credit from the bank during my tenure in that workplace. Later I started receiving calls to receive the credit card and they kept mailing to the school when I was not even working there anymore. I have not received or have been delivered any credit card by the bank and yet my outstanding amount is rs 4000. Due to which my cibil score has taken a hit. Why should I pay the amount for which I have not received any credit card nor used any service.

                        We are channel partner of hdfc bank with code 420735. We have done business of about approximately 1 Crore with hdfc bank. We are a two wheeler dealership. We agreed for payment on every two wheeler loan we refer to hdfc bank and were to get 2 % payout on the loan amount. Till date no payment has been received and now we have been provided an invoive of 19000 approx for total business done instead of actual amount i.e. 200000 approx. Reason provided is that HDFC bank will pay only for files referred after opening of vendor code. But no such thing was conveyed to us. Moreover if that is the case then the delay caused in opening code is delebrate as we provided documnents on day 1 of our meeting. But they kept on asking for same documents again and again so as to delay opening of vendor code. It is requested to make them liable to pay our dues and if the platform fails to do so then guide us to prosecute them in court of law to hold them accountable for this fraudulent attitude and set their callous attitude straight and make an honest organisation out of them.

                          I am a saving aacount holder in hdfc bank.in mirganj branch bihar but my after visiting my nearest branch since 3 days, my kyc status is still in pending not update .please update my kyc as soon as possible.hdfc bank teams not focus in my kyc status

                            Hdfc bank always keeps amount on hold for no reason, customer service cannot explain it, it is something mi revenue hold through gefu and it really is inappropriate. It has kept my 21, 370.56 rs on hold .

                                  The employee named Saint asked me for Rs 10, 000 for starting savings account and asked me for a cheque from other bank later I get to know that it's just 5, 000 to start a saving account in semi - urban branches
                                  Also he never informed me that we can start account by depositing 5000 and later when I called he is lying alot and saying this is bank policy and all

                                      On a scrutiny of my Equifax bureau report, I observe that the referenced account has been reported with a Settled status in the repayment history. This is hindering my ability to avail fresh loans and I would like to know what needs to be done to update the account status as CLOSED/STANDARD.
