    I am an old customer of HDFC and my immediate family members have around 6 accounts apart from different other products like Credit Cards, FDs etc. . I took a Car loan from HDFC where the agent promised that after 2 years there would not be any preclosure charges.
    After 4 years when I am trying to repay the loan through pre-Closure I am realizing its a mess, the bank intentionally made the procedure so cumbersome that no one tries to exit . Its like they wish to suck each penny out of you. They make you run from pillar to post . Let me give you it in points :

    1) You can not close the Loan account through website or any other online portal nor you can send a cheque to these guys to make the full Principle payments . They don't accept it .
    2) You also can not close the Loan account by visiting normal branches for that you must visit special loan branches which are very very few in numbers.

    3) Even at those places and even after passing 2-3 years you will be asked to pay the Penalty, yes its a penalty that you wish to payback their full amount and that too before time which was in my case around 3.5 % and which was actually much more than the interest I was due with for rest of the tenure .

    When I took this matter to Loan Dept. Bund Garden Road, Pune, it was no effect on the Customer Service manager Ms. Dhanashree, she was all cool with me complaining without even going in to the details of the matter. They do not have even the loan agreement copy .

    With all this crap in this era where every process in smooth in banking, this is the bank which wants you to pay a PENALTY when you want to return their money . I can't believe a leading bank in India still living in the era of Mahajan Raj and doesn't want to change. I myself have worked in banking industry and these practices in India are like curse .

    I am sure I am going to change the way I bank by changing my bank itself.

      On 04th Oct 2018 i did an imps transfer of rs. 10000/- from my hdfc saving account to sbi. The amount has been debited but not credited to the beneficiary account. Its been 18 days and still the amount is nowhere to be traced.in the hdfc application for mobile banking the status of the transaction shows as processor down. I would request the bank to look into this matter and resolve this issue.

      Hdfc being such a reputed bank comitting these types of silly mistakes is highly unacceptable.

        I have been using HDFC CC since last 11 years. Today my father went to the branch office to make the payment of Rs 5800. He told the bank personal to take 100 rs extra since the payment is made through cash. The cashier denied taking additional money. Now when I am ready to make the additional payment why I have been denied making the charges of rs 100. Now when I had a word with Miss Sudha from Mumbai Customer care Mr Sudhakar from grievance team and also with Mr laxmikanth from the grievance everybody told that Rs 100 will be reflected in the next bill. I asked if I make the payment through cash again rs 100 will be reflected the following bill so indirectly it means that Rs 100 will not be cleared off. My question is very simple why at the fist go the branch did not accepted the money. Whose mistake it is? I tried never get any response from the mail that I have send across. Is this the service that you are providing?

          I've received SMS "Dear Customer Mandate reference no: HDFC[protected] issued to HDFC LTD with value Rs. 52832.00 and frequency MNTH is received today for processing. In case of any issue please get in touch with your branch.".

          Kindly explain what is this, recently I've taken Home Loan from HDFC and now I received such messages.

          Today once again I received one message.

          ACH Debit mandate registered for Rs. 52832 /- in A/c No.XXXXXXXXX80110 for HDFC LTD with UMRN No.HDFC[protected].

            Hi Amol This Side,
            I am using HDFC bank credit card.
            On 5th Sep my credit card bill was due for Rs 19863.
            As autopay was set and to settle this payment I deposited a cheque in my home branch worth 80000 on 31st Aug 2018.
            As per RBI rule this cheque was suppose to disburse within 3 days I. E. Max to max on 3rd Sep.
            But not got cleared.
            During this time I was continuesly taking follow up with customer care, personal banker and home branch but they ask me to wait.
            Till 5th of Sep cheque not cleared and my credit card payment dishonoured due to insufficient balance.
            So bank charged me
            Over limit fees - 500
            Payment return charges - 450
            And late fees - 750
            +18% gst.

            Then my home branch told me cheque I deposited was very old and it appears for clearing only twice a month.

            Here my concern is, I was not aware of this. But the bank officials who received cheque from me and gave me stamp receipt of pay in slip. Must be aware of this.
            But he didn't inform me anything while accepting cheque.
            Then I called customer care and asked him to cancle these charges.
            He was convinced and he took my request.
            Again after 2 days I received message that your request is declined.

            I honestly believe this is bank officials mistake and even not communicated with me for a week even I was taking follow-up.
            Thus I should not suffer of charged unnecessarily.

            As you may be aware, any payment returned would attract a payment return charge. In view of the same, the autopay return fee has been levied. We observe from our records that your card usage has exceeded the credit limit assigned to your card account and hence over-limit fee has been levied. To explain it further, when the total outstanding on your card account (including the balance principle loan amount if any) exceeds your assigned credit limit, an over-limit fee of 2.5% of the over-limit amount subject to a minimum of Rs.500.00 would get levied. With regard to your query on the reason for allowing transaction on your card exceeding the limit, we wish to clarify you that to avoid inconvenience at the time of transaction you were allowed to use the card above the limit and same is being done as a goodwill gesture to all the customers.

                Hi sir,

                This is sridevi. T and i am holding hdfc card from more than 8 years. But unfortunately from last few days i am getting irritating and threatening calls from your bank for unpaid one installment of credit card jumbo loan. From 14th october, i am getting 5-10 calls continuesly to my mobile and to my mother on house number.

                I already explain this one time to one of the staff that i got the statement with the due date of 2nd november with together 2 months installment and i will keep the sufficient amount in my hdfc account as it is a autopay. But again the calls continue from different numbers.

                Even though i requested, but one persons, told that he is a collection agent of your bank, called me on sunday at 1.30 pm. He is not listening my words and threatened me that i have to pay on the spot. Then i told that if i get email confirmation, i will pay one months installment immediately. He questioned me like anything that why should i failed to keep amount for last month installed in rude and insulting way.

                If this continue again i am pressured to withdraw my all accounts and transactions from your company. Bcos people need pleasant and calm life. I don't want to spoil it with your contact.

                I need your updates about the actions against these people who threatened me.

                Even i mentioned about this in twitter and they told that the calls got from the numbers are concerned to the bank and kept quite.

                Please note the numbers: [protected], [protected] (From this number only that guy talked too much), [protected], [protected],[protected],[protected],[protected],[protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected],[protected] etc.,

                Kindly track my record that first time in my life, i failed to pay one installment in time due to personal problems. But your people tortured me that i am fraud and cheated the bank for crores.

                I will pay two months due by 2nd november 2018 as per statement, but before i need an explanation and apology for this.

                  I have applied for hdfc insurance on 2 august 2018 through rbl bank, t nagar, chennai 600017 - they taken my payment through credit card on same day and documents also i gave what they asked, on 4 august - additional document - i gave the same and after 3 days they asked for medical examination - i said i am not interested to do medical test, told to cancel the policy request and refund my money to my card account - on 10 august - i got the mail stating that cancellation request etc, i submitted in rbl bank office on 13th august 2018, _ they proceed the refund for this policy and it will come to my account - nothing has come to my account october 17 2018 - i got the email - they cancelled my policy request - after so much of follow up - nothing has made up - my 3 credit card statement generated
                  August, september and october 2018 - they charged me the financial charges 787 + taxes for every month

                  Total refund : 12385 + (787 * 3 +18% gst)= 15171 has to come to my account

                    My name is aswath i work at bangalore and i have a salary account with hdfc and my credit card got expired so i got advice that i had to change my address to get new card as i have moved to a different address so i was told to go to nearest bank and submit an application so i went on saturday i was waiting for about 10 mins no one spoke with me so went to help desk and asked for a form and the person told me to wait for another person and the other person came they were again busy with their work so i went and asked the person i was waiting for about 2 mins he was searching for the form and i was still standing after 2 mins the person told that the application form is missing and asked me to come monday which is today and today i went the concerned person is on lunch break so they have asked me to come evening. For the first time i felt like i have come to a government bank.

                    Please improve the services at hindupur branch.

The bank has auto debited rs. 1399/- from my credit card number ending with 9396 without any intimation and without my concern on date:19/10/2018. I am not at all interested about this service and don't want this membership anymore. So, please cancel the membership and refund this debited amount of rs.1399/- as soon as earliest to my account.

                      I take loan from HDFC with a/c no.56653887, from this amount I take cheque for RS.1, 69, 486 to clear for my previous ICICI loan, I take cheque for 1, 69, 486/- and submitted that in ICICI Rajamundry Branch but some days later they rejected my cheque, I informed this matter to HDFC bank but they didn't take action on my strucked cheque amount
                      I have done an IMPS Transaction from my HDFC bank to SBI bank.

                      Money got debited but not credited to beneficiary account.

                          I have been using hdfc credit cad since one month. Just after getting the credit card i got a call from a lady saying to opt for hdfc bank — one assist mfee for which i a disagreed very kindly and told her i wouldnt opt for the services.
                          Now the credit card bill has been generated, there is a deduction of 1399 for the same without my concent. Please cancel the billable amount.
                          Another complaint is that the customer care number never answers the call, it keeps on dragging and the call will be ended at last.

                            Hi,

                            I have purchased a product via debit card emi of amount rs.11792.62 order no.#[protected] in amazon on 25-august-2018.

                            After that, i have cancelled the product and amazon intiated refund on 29-aug-2018 of refund reference number:[protected]. Here is the mail from amazon:

                            Your refund of rs.11792.62 has been processed successfully on[protected]. The amount should reflect in your account by[protected].

                            The authorization code (Refund reference number) for the transaction is[protected].

                            In case you do not receive the refund within 5 business days, please contact your bank’s customer care and mention the above authorization code (Refund reference number). Please remember that you will have to call your bank’s customer care center and not visit the branch for this query.

                            Some nationalized banks may take more time than usual to credit the refund. If your bank is unable to locate the refund with the authorization code provided, please dispute the transaction as 'refund not processed'. On disputing the transaction, the bank will see a pending refund and will follow the path back to our payment processor to locate the refund.

                            I called hdfc bank and they said that, we didnot recieved any cancellation request from amazon. So, contact amazon. When i call amazon, they took complaint and checked with their billing team and confirmed, refund has been done from their side.

                            When i call hdfc loan department, again they are telling the same thing each and everytime. After 20 follow ups over call around more than 8-9 hrs spend to discuss on this issue with hdfc bank, they took internal complaint and raised a concern from their side to amazon.

                            Already, 1st emi amount has been auto debited and 2nd emi is nearby. Hdfc loan department is not at all understanding the issue and blindly trying to escape from this.

                            Simply, hdfc bank deducting my money even after product returned and refund intiated from merchant side.

                            I am fully irritated and called both hdfc and amazon moe than 50+ times in these 2 months, but there is no resolution. I have total call recordings of discussion.

                            I am sure, there is no issue from merchant side as they provided refund reference number as well.

                            Finally, i am approching consumer complaints with a small hope that my issue will get resolve. And next, i have only chance to approach consumer court.

                              My name is rajeev, please go thru the below details to understand our pain.

                              We were being constantly harassed by mr. Rahul kadam (Hdfc collection manager) & m/s paritosh enterprises (Collection agency - mulund east) for defaulting my emi's for quite sometime now. I tolerated & faced the constant humiliation considering that i deserve the same as i am defaulter. And when the person loses his job & his source of income he is forced to face such humiliations.

                              I considered the process of harassment as regular in nature, as stated in by below emails, i proactively approached hdfc collection team for the issues i am facing. I visited kanjurmarg office & met mr. Hira ram pal in regards to my financial crises, however he stated its not in his purview to help & i have to pay the emis to avoid any future humiliation in future.

                              When mr. Rahul kadam & his agency goons started harassing me, as usual they got the license to abuse me, torture me, constantly call me (Like 15 calls in 2 mints) and i know they have all means to record our calls & they will record only the calls in which we get frustrated & will resist the pressure, to which they will say we have recorded your calls & we will take action. Calls are made ideally my female telecallers and they are trained to insult & humiliate us. I was resisting these tortures by simply avoiding them, as i knew they are just gonna humiliate me & these conversations will only end up by getting humiliated, so to refrain from such insults i was not taking their calls.

                              I was fine with all this, but on 16th october 2018, a middle age guy mr. Gowda visited my home at around 15:00 pm & he met my parents whom are in their early seventies. Mr. Gowda insisted in barging in to my home, his attire was too suspicious, he was full beard, without shoes & was not at all looking like a hdfc guy. My parents being in their seventies were too much afraid about this incident & they were feeling insecure with his presence & they told him to leave the place, as i (Rajeev kini) is not available at that point of time. But to my shocker he constantly humiliated my mother in front of all society members for 3 hours. I. E. From 15:00 pm to 18:00 pm. And then mr. Gowda showed my mother the pictures of my wife, my sisters & my old uncles. My mother started panicking & she was about to collapse because of these 3 hours of interrogation, and to my shocker mr. Rahul kadam also spoke to my mother on telecall, through mr. Gowada's cell phone.

                              Mr. Rahul kadam humiliated my mother by telling her " kahan chuppa ke rakkha hai tere bete ko? Paisa lene aata hai tumloko, dene nahi aata? Kya yahi dhanda tune tere baccho ko sikhaya hai, tere dosra beta aur teri bahu kahan hai? Roz tere ghar pe aise 1000 log bhejunga, jo karna hai karle, and mera yeah aadmi aaj tere gharpe hi soyega, jo karna hai karle.

                              My mother told him that he is calling for a police action, as she is not at all involved this transaction & why is she being targted? But rahul kadam under his garb of doing a collection job for a reputed bank did everything to insult my mother whom is supposed to be a senior citizen. Mr. Rahul kadam is to prone to do such criminal activities.

                              My mother went to andheri east police station on 16th oct 2018 to lodge a police complaint against mr. Rahul kadam & mr. Gowda & the police station in-charge called up mr. Rahul & asked him to visit police station for understanding his version on the above incident & even i was asked to visit. However mr. Rahul kadam did not visited the police station & he sent mr. Poojary & mr. Gowda to face police action. After waiting for mr. Rahul from 11am to 2pm at the police station, we were informed that mr. Rahul is not coming as he is busy with his work. To which the police station in charge instructed the third party employees & the so called collection agents to refrain from visiting my home, as mr. Rahul seems to be superior to all establishments & he is not at all afraid of taking law and order in to his hands. The collection agency representatives informed the police that this case is with them for shorter period of time & the other agency will be roped in soon, and so they should not be blamed if there is any future harassment cases.

                              Mr. Rahul kadam & hdfc bank will solely be responsible in-case if anything happens to my parents, wife, brother & sisters.

                              According to mr. Kadam these instances are common in nature & they counter such instances by blaming & questioning the intention & integrity of the customers and their families.

                              I have few questions to ask from hdfc bank?

                              Why was mother targeted, when she is not at all involved in this business?
                              Why was my mother insulted & humiliated in front of everyone? Isn't this a criminal offense?
                              From where the so called collection agent mr. Gowda, got pictures of my wife & sisters? And why was he asking about the whereabouts of the females of our family?
                              What was mr. Gowda doing for 3 hours at my house when he visited? And what is standard sop when you visit a default customer?
                              What action should i expect from hdfc bank on mr. Rahul kadam?
                              What if something similar repeats?
                              Will hdfc bank take the responsibility of the security of my family?

                              In this case mr. Rahul kadam is personally involved & i hope bank won't protect him by only terminating the 3rd party agency.

                              On my loan default, now i would like to settle this case only in the court of law, as the employees of hdfc & their associates seems to be involved in criminal activities & they are repeat offenders under the protection of hdfc bank & its legal machinery. Expecting a timely revert on the same.

                                  Dear sir,
                                  I am mislead and cheated by mr. Dibyajit mohanty, br mgr, direct-tad at hdfc life bhubaneshwar. Reasons for saying so is explained below:

                                  I had a corpus of 21.55 lacs in nps with which i had to purchase annuity. Before buying annuity i discussed pros and cons with mr. Dibyajit on 4th june 2018.
                                  Told him clearly that i am associated with hdfc agency life as fc and if i book this annuity against my fc code (Hdf 729963) then i will get cashback / commission @ 2% besides other incentives.

                                  We jointly seen on the hdfc life portal the pension amount i will get if i book through agency life vis a vis through hdfc life direct and found that pension amount was slightly higher in case of later. So i specifically asked mr. Dibyajit, what cashback / commission / incentive he will give if i book annuity plan through him.
                                  Mr. Dibyajit requested for 1 day's time to check with his superiors. On 5th june dibyajit called me up and confirmed that he will give me same cashback / commission (I. E. @2% rs.43102/-) as in case of hdfc agency life. But he requested me for not to tell anyone there about the deal which i agreed and followed.

                                  Hence on 6th june i went to hdfc life office and submitted / signed papers for purchase of annuity with my nps corpus of 21.55 lacs. Through mr. Dibyajit.
                                  Money from nps was finally received by hdfc on 20th june, booked annuity plan and on 23rd june policy no. 20478815 was issued.

                                  Dibyajit told me that as like in hdfc agency life cashback / commission will be directly credited in my bank a/c within 60 days. However even after 60 days no cashback / commission money was credited in my bank a/c, for which i followed up with him.

                                  On 31st aug dibyajit called me to give me cashback / commission money. He took me down stairs to a nearby tea stall and put in my pocket some money. On checking i found it was only rs.3000/-. I started arguing and abusing him what is this nonsense and at last he requested, for time being keep the rs.3000/- and in couple of days he will give me the balance.

                                  On 3rd sep dibyajit again called me in office to collect the balance cashback / commission amount. On reaching his office as usual he took me downstairs to a nearby tea stall and put in my pocket some money, on checking i found another rs.3000/-. I started abusing him what is this nonsense and returned him total rs.6000/-. Point blank i told him you have cheated me. We departed

                                  This way dibyajit mischievously booked the annuity plan with my nps corpus of 21.55 lacs, perhaps dibyajit got his business credits and i stand cheated by him.

                                  Policy no. 20478815 was issued on 23rd june and first quarterly pension was received by me on[protected].
                                  Hope i could explain to your understanding. Now you will act against such mischief monger / cheater operating from your system.

                                    I have applied for hdfc credit cards my rewards redemption as per the online guidelines. Redemption date is 31st august 2018. As per the guidelines within 2 weeks of time i should get the voucher, but i didn't get till today (21st october 2018). Please find the receipt as an attachment.

                                    I have already contacted customer care after 2 weeks, based on their reply will reach another one more week time. It is a very lengthy process to speak with customer care regarding reward points. The reply what i got from the customer care person also i have not satisfied based on their knowledge about reward points.

                                    The bank like hdfc i didn't expect this type of response and more negligence from customer care.
