Dear sir,
I am the customer of hdfc bank tagore garden from 2011, and i have taken a hdfc sl classic assurance insurance plan ploicy no. 15002345 on 10th march 2012, for 10 years sum assured 153055.00, on quarterly basis emi amount was rs. 2100 plus tax.
From march to june 2012 bank's system was unable to hit my saving account no.[protected] to recover the quarterly emi, and due to non activation of ecs i got a message from hdfc life's "your policy has been lapsed due to non payment" but my account had a sufficient balance (Bank statement enclosed).
In aug. 2012 bank's executive came at my residence at apologize for the same and request to fill all the forms again and issue a sep's premium along with penalty, i had issued two cheques and every thing again to them but again after one month i got a same (Policy lapsed) message on my mobile but after deducting my account, due to again non activation on ecs.
Again in the month of oct 2012, premium amount was released by me but same thing was in the loop my policy was still not activated due to non activated of ecs till dec 2012 by paying all premium with penalty.
Than i mailed to mumbai head office and visited paschim vihar hdfc life insurance branch, multiple times but from delhi to mumbai after lot of mail conversation and visiting the branch, senior person to junior person, every one was failed to activate the ecs facility in policy.
Mumbai branch's senior executives are requesting there staff to starts the ecs activation in my policy and apologize with me but failed to starts the activation upto one year, if you go through the attachments which i attached in this mail you will find bank was unable to activate the ecs till december 17, 2014 (Mail attached)
One more interested thing is this they were taking penalty from me, where a handsome amount was shown in saving account every time, sir if i was paying regularly :-
First i was not illegible for penalty, but i paid.
Second, after paying all premium, how can be my policy lapsed.
So, i requested them in jan 2013, please cancel my policy and refund my funds with immediate effects but till date (20/10/2018) they haven't refund my money after that i put leagal case against them but no body came from banks on lots of dates after that i had also left to visit the court.
Today, i again visited to paschim vihar branch, i got your email id to approach you,
Sir, its my request you please check all the attachments properly you will find there is no such fault from my side after that banks said that in this policy you have to pay upto 7 seven years otherwise your money will be lapsed and will not returned to you, sir, please let me one thing if customer was unable to pay the premium to bank than bank had rights to take the customer money. And where customer is paying regularly to bank than bank also has a, one law was also written in the bank policy, if customer found a fault in or any case in the policy or bank system, bank is liable to pay in multiple to the customer instead of harassment
