I have taken home loan app 2888000/- from Aliganj Branch in 2008 for house in Lucknow. Presently I am working with Tata Steel Limited Jamshedpur and residing at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Today on 29.08.2018, I visited Jamshedpur branch to inquire about the balance home and and asked for foreclosure. I was asked by the security guard at gate to contact Mr. Suraj. When contacting Mr. Suraj, He behaved very rudely with me and said the following -
1. He can not take deposit today and ask me to come on 03.09. 2018 without any appropriate justification.
2. Secondly he asked to come with 6 month bank statement without which he can not accept the deposit.
3. While I was discussing with him and trying to understand the rationale behind the requirement of 6 months bank statement, he used following words " kya pata app dacaity dal ke paisa jamakar rahe ho'.
4. This was very insulting to me and I have very sternly told him to behave.
5. Later I was told by the branch manager that it was to veryfy the source. I could not understand as if the HDFC Ltd is acting as officials of INCOME TAX DEPT.
6. I am paying through an account payee cheque and it is recorded transaction. Bank statement is purely personal and why should I share .
7. I told the BM to asking for bank account statment for foreclosure is not justified and it will not tell you any source. I can give you copy of IT Return where this account no is mentioned.
8. The BM said he can not do anything as this is bank rule but he can not be able to show any rule or policy.
9. I have told the BM that I can not provide the bank statement and he has to take the deposit. He told me that in that case I will have to deposit at Aliganj, Lucknow wherefrom I have taken the loan. I could not understand this rationale.
10. This is the harrasement dome by HDFC Ltd.
Following is my prayer -
1. The employee Mr. Suraj must be punished for the misbehaviour of abusing me as Dacoit.
2. HDFC must take the deposit through acount payee cheque without bank statement.
If HDFC Ltd will not take any action on my complaint =, I shall be compelled to escalate the matter to RBI official and may prefer to go to the court.
