dear,sir, i have done HDFC ERGO car insurance for my maruti eeco on 12 Feb 2013 the company parson gave me a copy of Acknowledgement Slip no.[protected] the payment i made by cheque No. SBI Bank 687796 of Rs.5922/-. which is debited from my account.
the company parson tolled me that policy copy you will get it by courier within 3 days But until today i have not got anything even i have not got any call from company or company parson so please i need to get that copy and contact company

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am finding myself a victim of false selling of insurance with my car insurance. The insurance is provided by Royal Sundaram [RSM], my previous Insurer was HDFC Ergo. I need your help in taking it forward. Let me summarize the case as below.


    Car purchased on OCT 2009 : Indica Vista : Bangalore registration

    First Year Insurance : Royal Sundaram : Claimed Insurance for minor accident : Once
    Second Year Insurance : Royal Sundaram : Claimed Insurance for minor accident : Twice
    Third Year Insurance : HDFC Ergo : Not claimed anything :
    Fourth Year Insurance : Royal Sundaram : Met with small accident, now i have issue with claims approval.

    When I renewed with HDFC in the third year[15OCT2011-14OCT2012], I was told by the Insurance agent, that he will give No-Claim-Bonus [NCB] and bring the insurance premium amount to lesser. When I told him that I have made the claims in that year, he said, nothing to worry as I am switching the insurance company and he will manage it. So I was offered 20% NCB.

    Fortunately there was no accidents in the third year.
    In the fourth year, I renewed my insurance ONLINE from Royal Sundaram again on 12OCT2012 for the period 15OCT2012-14OCT2013. Here I was offered 25% NCB as there was no accidents in that year and also there was 20% NCB mentioned in my HDFC policy.

    I met with a small accident in last week of NOV 2012. I gave my vehicle to service on 6th DEC 2012. They took 3-4 days, and the status was, waiting for approval.Then I called them up couple of times asking for status and why the status is same for so many days, and told them that I was in need of my vehicle as early as possible.

    One RSM executive called up after 5 days and said the below information:

    "I have wrongly claimed NCB from HDFC in my third year for which I am not eligible, so HDFC had gone back and checked that I have made the claim, so they have reduced mu tenure of insurance from 12 months to 10 months. So my insurance ended in AUG 2012 itself. Then while renewing my policy with RSM in OCT 2012, I have misrepresented the facts, so it will take some more time to decide about the claim, meanwhile if I need the vehicle urgently, I can go ahead and get the car repaired at my cost and once the dispute is cleared as who should bear the cost, he will pay if he has to pay"

    I went ahead with repair work with my expenditure as I had no other alternatives, the cost came to Rs 16,900/-. I made the payment through DD in the name of the Car Service center.

    I have asked the RSM as what about the insurance status of my car as of now, means if something happens tomorrow, who is liable? He said over phone, "now it should be alright, but I will have to pay the difference amount [ 25 % NCB - 20 % NCB, as I am entitled only for 20 % NCB ], and he will arrange for some one to take the photographs of the vehicle as the insurance was broken in-between, and it should be fine from now onwards". He said he will arrange for taking the photographs by his executives for and collecting the cheque for the difference amount. Till today he has not done so.

    I have mailed to them couple of times to get
    1. The exact reason in details for denying my claim
    2. The official communication from HDFC that they reduced my tenure from 12 months to 10 months with whatsoever reasons.
    3. My status of the policy from now onwards with the whatsoever conditions.
    I have also requested them to take the photographs, collect the cheque [for difference amount] and issue me a fresh policy if required.

    He is not responding to my mails. I have also complained to the IRDA, ombudsman of Hyderabad and Karnataka, but nothing happened.

    Could you please let me know how can I initiate action against

    a. HDFC : For reducing the tenure without my consent
    b. RSM: for not approving the claim, For not keeping me informed about the status in time, for causing so much of Hassle and trouble for me, and for not verifying the documents in-time instead they waited for some accidents to happen.


    Can I fight the case myself ? how can I proceed to get my car covered under insurance ? Which authority / court should I approach ?

      This is an unwanted service but he forcibly activated .I have already raised complaints which am giving the details below as well as am forwarding my Policy Number which i want to cancel and further no questioned asked from the Bank.

          Unethical and Irresponsible HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited, I calld up their customer care 2 renew my car insurance only 2 inform that policy has been canceled in Nov 2011 due to Check dishonor. I have bank statement with details of successful bank transaction. This is sheer irresponsibility on their part and unethical practice. Because their irresponsible behavior i am running my car without any insurance for 10-11 months. The money has been debited from account on 6th Sept and these guys canceled the policy in Nov. How is it possible that HDFC Ergo continue to sleep on the check for two months.

          Even after paying Rs. 19k i am uninsured. I want to teach these guys a lesson?

            Sir,
            I was admitted in care hospital regarding chest pain on (04.02.2012 to 06.02.2012)
            That day means 4th Feb 2012 I admitted in care hospital emergency ward at night 9.30pm regarding savior chest pain. Dr Sunil Kapoor was treated me after tests and taking medicines I was discharged on 6th Feb 2012. My Hdfc Ergo policy is cash less card. When discharge time I submitted my policy papers but Hdfc Ergo said cashless denied. I paid my bills after 4 days I applied claim and submitted all the documents in banjarahills FHPL office. They asking so many documents. I travelled 4 times nampally care hospital to banjarahills FHPL office regarding documents . After 45 days I call to customer care regarding claim they said ‘your claim is denied why means investigation and evaluation purpose not payable under insurance’ . So finally I understand Hdfc Ergo is cheated me.

            I too have a hdfc ergo cashless policy, I had a severe head pain in the right said of my brain, i went to a hospital direct from my office they said me to get admitted, I called FHPL, they did not give me a clear idea about my policy, as i had financial constrain so before getting getting admitted i wanted to confirm the detail of my policy, ( gave my policy no and spoke with Amar) but they did not have clear idea about my policy details as it was Sunday i believe people are not insured on weekends, I went home and and took the pain. But thank you for the complaint.

              Hi,
              I am writing with reference to my Request no : 433217 with my Claim id no-30921 of HDFC ERGO Family Health Plan. I now feel I made a big mistake in investing in this plan. I submitted all the original bills and documents for my Mothers illness and I was not getting any responses. So, I approached them through calls and mails many times, Finally they responded and they asked for new docs. Again, After continuous followup up of mine.. one fine day, they said, some other documents were needed. and for the third time also, it happened the same. for which the hospital refused to give.. as they had given it 3 times and the hospital managements concern would be that the doctor would not be that free to give one one thing at one time. Even then, I managed to submit everything original, Finally after doing all this, No response. Now they are silent. After 4 months when I got someone to respond they asked again new docs.Neither they send back the original docs to us. nor they give the money. once sent for claim here.. your money and bills, everything is lost.
              The thing is once u invest here, We will need to leave all our jobs and roam around them. But, They will not do anything. They are eating peoples money based on the weaknesses. But, when actual need comes, they are not with us. I suggest please do not put your money in this. Because, At a point they will make you feel , its better leaving than, roaming around them for our money at a point.It has a very stupid customer care and also no person whom you talk to will take the responsibility. Its mere waste of time,money,energy,hope and emotions.

              HDFC — Never Responds

              I called customer service twice for applying credit card. Both the times, they said one of their executive will call me. But they never did.

              I called one of my executive personally to my place and submitted all the docs for credit card. He said one of their staff will call me for verification within 3 days and card will be dispatched in 15 days.

              I waited for almost a month. Then when i called them, they said they never received my documents.

              And then i called them up for installing Debit Card machine at my store, they said same as one of their executive will call me. But they never did.


              HDFC IS INACTIVE.
              Sub. I didn’t get my salary on my hdfc salary account which opens at before 3 months.

                  I've been using HDFC credit card since past one and half year.Last year, a customer service personal called my mobile number and told me about health insurance.I was not interested and refused the policy. Though, they started deducting premium from my credit card. The roughly five months later, they sent the policy documents on my address, since then I was following up customer service personal for cancellation of policy. They told me that it would take 45 days to cancel policy. After that I dint get any call form any of them regarding this issue. Even few of them said your deducted amount is reimbursed.

                  I don’t understand why should I pay for the policy which I didn’t want to take and was given to me I would like to say by cheating me. Sir please try to help me by getting my money back.

                    I have insured my car with HDFC ERGO. After informing them i entrusted my vehicle to a workshop. One surveyor came and inspected. The work was started after informing HDFC. Then a second surveyor came. This was also informed to HDFC. They kept quiet. When claim form was submitted, they rejected saying by the time the second surveyor came, the work had commenced.They are not at all professional and not customer friendly

                      My Wife Poonam Pathak Policy No 50537191 Dec 2010 to Dec 2011 She had Heart attach on July 2011, the documents for claim were send in time. The company in Demand asked for some other Documents, which too were send within there time period. BUT the required documents they Say that they have NOT received,Which is there FALSE statement and it is clear that the company is not interested to give the claim. Now I am requesting the Company to send my Origional Documents which I sent to them , so that I can try to settle that amount with my Department. I have mailed the demand 5 times BUT there is NO Response.I cant understand HOW long this company will continue.MAY GOD help This company. If this complaint reaches you ,please send my origional file which I sent to you the first time.

                        Car Insurance — policy renewal notice

                        Dear Si/ Madam

                        It is to bring it to your kind notice that I have insured my car with your company and my policy is coming to renewal on 16th August, 2008, but till today i have not received my renewal notice. I am not understanding why your local office is not sending renewal notice to me. Till today four other company executives are approached me to get policy but no executive of our company approached. It is how your people are working.

                        It is the third year with your company that is why i am very much interested again to renewal my car and you may be noted that I have two cars and i suggested all of my friends to get insure their vehicles with our company but your people are not at all following the even existing customers also.


                        It is very very very bad from your part.

                          >Cancellation of Health Insurance Reference No HN[protected]
                          This is regarding a policy which by fraud is been issue to me without my approval.and even after given me a cancellation letter by HDFC ergo i am still being charged of the heavy amount of nearly 4000 Rs i now have unbilled amount of more than 9000 RS without my Knowledge.

                          this is total harrasment as HDFC ergo had cancelled the plan and the cancellation letter was attached by HDFC ergo mail and i have it as a proof.

                          Please note its not even a month since i recieved the Credit card and its like i am being targeted.

                            I want to inform you all that never get insurance with HDFC Ergo insurance.
                            i Have taken a vehicle model no-LPT 407 financed by HDFC BANK.
                            both the people involve in fraud, from bank Ranjeet Prasad Sinha and Pawan pandey has force me to get insurance from HDFC ergo, I did the same according to them, the vehicle met with an accident at bundu ghati went down 60 feet deep and it is in the condition of total loss,now Mr Karunesh Branch Manager and Mr Deepankar ghosh from HDFC Ergo asked bribe to me for getting the matter settle down i refuse to give the so the matter is still pending and than i lodge a case in Jamshedpur court against them the case no -3560/2010 in the court of B.B.Singh (judge)

                            So Be Aware with the people and never get insured by HDFC Ergo

                                With reference to the above, I wish to inform you that even after delay of 65 days from the date of claim I have not received any written communication from the above insurance company(HDFCERGO). I met with an accident near Vellore and the claim process is being processed at Chennai Office. My IDV is Rs.2,91,827/- as on date. Initially the company accepted for total loss since the repair cost will be more then Rs.2.50 lakhs and they accepted that they are settling the claim for a sum of Rs.2,91,827/- + toying charges and they auctioned the vehicle and Mr. Noordin from Bangalore bidded for the highest amount(Rs.1,43,000/-) and the buyer came awith DD for Rs.1,23,000/- and he informed that the balance of Rs.20,000/- will be paid after giving NOC. Hyndai authorised service centre from Vellore has also sent a estimate of Rs.3.20 lakhs as on 21.06.11. The company now informs me that since I have paid yearly road tax, they are not willing to settle for my orginal IDV of Rs2,91,827/- and now informed over phone that they will repair my vehicle at a cost of Rs.1,90,000/- + consumbles to be paid by me. The insurance company has not bothered to correspond to me for in this matter and now after a gap of more than 65 days they are informed over phone that the vehicle is repairable. They can't take the costomers for granted and kindly instruct the above insurance to settle the claim with total loss as per the original estimate.

                                This is bring to your notice that I have claimed Insurance of my Hyundai car which is park at Hyundai Motor Plaza A-30 Mohan Co-operative State for repairing since last one week. we are struggling to get Insurance Amount against my policy no.[protected]. whenever I inquire to your customer care regarding this we are getting number of excuses instead of Amount status even someone told me that policy has been canceled on dated 18 Aug 2011 while the policy maturity date is on 29 Dec 2011, could you pls take a toil to let me know how can a policy can be canceled without user intimation and the customer executives not giving actual status of the Policy even response also.

                                  The above vehicle met with accident on21/6/211 due to the fault of lorry No:TNJ 7969.I left the
                                  Vehicle with Anamallais Coimbatore who is the dealer for this vehicle. Your surveyor inspected the vehicle and sent report to you with out informing or discussing with me.I came to know about the details only after receiving copy of the survey report work sheet by E-Mail on20/7/2011from you.

                                  While taking delivery of the vehicle I had paid Rs 42596 ,even though the depreciation and policy exes comes to Rs34262 only.
                                  The left side rear view mirror was damaged while the lorry driver was jumping from his vehicle to left side of my vehicle. According to the dealer, which is not included in the estimate under the instruction by your surveyor. This damage sustained at the same time of accident and it is the part of accident.

                                  The dealer has given me another estimate on 13/7/2011 for the mirror and the upholsry cleaning for Rs,129929(The split up is Rs/9738cost of mirror&3253as labour).The upholstery became dirty due to the removal and refit, welding carbons etc during the course of repair ,according to the dealer this was not included in the estimate under the instruction of surveyor. This is part of accident repair.

                                  The dealer has billed labour charges Rs.37502 as against your sanction of Rs.37166

                                  You have deducted Rs.2200 as salvage value. I am not interested in the savage ,which you can collect from the dealer and pay me the amount.(this salvage will not fetch more than RS.150) The surveyor recommended this amount and deleted all the above items only on the intention of reducing claim amount and penalising me. This is against natural justice &violation of the insurance contract& policy conditions. The policy condition says ,the vehicle should be repaired to pre accident condition. No ware in the policy says the savage value fixed by you will be deducted from the claim amount

                                  I request you to sanction all the above items and sent me the cheque . If I am not received any reply with in a week time, I have no other alternative except to seek for other avenues which is on your account.

                                        My mother has HDFC ERGO mediclaim. She had operated her eye on 2nd May 2011 for Cataract. Whenever we claimed the amount what we spent. They simply saoid no, we are not entitled. At the time of selling this policy nobody had informed us about our entitlity for the same.
