My name is ravinder singh. I am from patiala, punjab. I have a credit card from hdfc bank.

last year, a customer service personal called my mobile number and told me about health insurance, hdfc ergo based on my credit card, I was not interested and refused the policy. After some days I got some smss on my phone that as I have confirmed on phone and so as premium of policy will be deducted from my credit card.
Then I called hdfc ergo landline. Then again their customer service personal said that "its very good policy and it will continue only for 1 year". So I just agreed.

Now one year is over. I again received calls from hdfc ergo customer service personals to renew the policy.
Which I refused on phone many times. Still I am getting smss and they are keep on deducting the premium / Policy charges from my credit card.

I even called the hdfc bank credit card service numbers to cancel my credit card. No one is listening and they say our pcs are out of order/Not working.

So I don’t understand why should I keep on paying premiums for the policy which I never took and I never re-newed, and cancelled to the customer care personals several times.

This is new latest way of looting cheating people by such insurance companies. Sir please try to help me by getting my hard-earned money back.
So, please take the necessary step to resolve the above issue.

    Dear Sir /Ma'am,
    I have a family Medical insurance policy ( No.[protected] of HDFC ERGO General Insurance Co. Ltd. and I have applied for the claim of my son's ( Darshil Upadhyay - age 21 months) hospitalization due to an accident of Scorpion sting. I intimated the insurance company through intimation id No. 8412 after two days of the accident. Then I filled the claim form and send all the original documents asked by the company's customer care and mentioned in the claim form through the courier to given address as below-
    Family Health Plan(TPA) Ltd.; Srinilaya -Cyber spazio, suite# 101,102,109,110, Ground floor,Road No. 2, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad - 500034 (INDIA).
    Now they are delaying the process unnecessarily and demanding for irrelevant documents like clarification by the Doctor for giving Insulin injection on the hospitals letter head and hospitals bill paid receipt though I have submitted it earlier.
    Now I don't know what should I do ? Should I forget the claim and not purchace any Insurance policy in future ? Please help me.
    How should I go to the Consumer court , please tell me.

      Dear sir,
      This is to inform you that we have a HDFC ERGO FAMILY HEALTH POLICY. Which cover my wife and myself. My policy no is – 50011923 and my cashless card no is – HN[protected] and expiry date is 28-aug-2011. My complaint is regarding denial of cashless service from hdfc ergo without any proper reason.
      This is to state that my wife Mrs. Surabhi Saxena, Age 30 years is suffering from Acute Liver Failure due to Viral Hepatitis and is in Hepatic encephalopathy. She is also 28 weeks Pregnant. On 29th of March 2011 I admit her in international hospital limited (Fortis), Noida. which is one of the network hospital of hdfc ergo. I inform to tpa and complete all the formalities. On 30th of march doctor decided to terminate the pregnancy but that time I know through tpa that my claim is denial and reason behind that is hdfc ergo consultant show it is a case of pregnancy and this is not covered in that policy. At that crucial time I arrange the amount to deposite and started the treatment. Doctor save my new born child but due to insufficient funds we can not able to give him proper treatment because my wife is also in crucial position and I already have a cashless denial from hdfc ergo. So I decided to save my wife first. On 30th of march new born child was passed away due to insufficient funds. Then I call to hdfc customer care and send him a fax on hospital letter head in which doctor given him the clarification that
      “ This is to state that patient Mrs. Surabhi Saxena, age 30 years is suffering from acute liver failure due to viral hepatitis and is in hepatic encephalopathy. She is also 28 weeks pregnant and the liver disease has no causative relationship with her pregnancy.”

      But after that on 31st marth 2011 they send us an additional information request form and asked to provide Antenatal Checkup Record. For this reference I provided him the previous Medical checkup card which show the pregnancy record as per TPA and attended Doctor suggested.
      But after providing this also on 1st of april 2011 they send the again the same letter of denial and in that letter they show the reason is
      “ cashless facility is denied since the presenting aliments cannot be ruled out for the complications or the concomitant aliments, hence the member is adviced to submit the claim for reimbursement as per the merits of the policy”
      At that time I am hopeless and try to arrange funds where ever we get till 4th of april my wife condition is more crucial and I did not have so much funds on 4th of april I paid approx. 5 lacs to fortis hospital and shift my wife to INSTITUTE OF LIVER & BILIARY SCIENCE, D-1, VASANT KUNJ, NEW DELHI.
      On 5th of april 2011 she passed away at 9:15 pm.
      I can’t say is she died due to that disease or due to lack of funds I never accept a health policy for reimbursement. Now when I send mail to hdfc ergo then they reply me same answer and forced me to submit all papers for reimbursement. Sir please I need your help to get the justice and learned them a lesson so anybody else never faced this type of problem.
      I have all the documents regarding this matter. But I don’t know how to proceed.

        Sir, I have insured my private Car No. AP 31 BF 4418, with your company under policy no.[protected] on 17.2.2011. I've found some typing mistakes in the policy, and this was informed through a letter to your representative for correction. Two days back I've received a corrected policy, but still it contains a mistake in a very important data, i.e., the engine number, it was shown as B[protected]KCZ instead of B10S1161402KC2 Kindly issue an endorsement or send another policy with the correction at the earliest.           Dear Sir,
          This refers to the HDFC ERGO Health Insurance Policy which is by fiercely added in my credit card account without my approval. When I open my saving account with HDFC Bank saving account number [protected] than they issue me a credit card (Credit Card number [protected]) and by force they deduct around Rs. 350 per month without my consent.
          After that they stand Rs. 8,052.00 which is not belongs to me and its pay bad impact on my goodwill in the banks.
          We have so many banks account with HDFC Bank and if always you do same like this kind of cheating then I might be thinking to stop/close all banks account around 36 in a number from your banks account and pass this information to your higher authorities.
          Very bad style of selling the policies in HDFC ERGO to very good proffered customers.
          Please let me know when the entire issue settle down last year when I receive a letter from Mumbai relate to policies Issue.
          Then why balances of Rs. 8,052.00 still stand.
          One thing more ,when I open a account or when HDFC ERGO People lock the policy in my credit card then why a single policy paper not delivered to me till now. I did not receive any policy card and policy papers as my partners receive it after one month of the policy lock.
          From that day I file a complaint by telephonically that I do not want this policy as somebody some executive by force lock this policy and please remove this from my account so that I can easily make my payments in my saving account.
          Please make it sure all things are well settle in my account non the less I am forced to take legal action against authorities.

            On 04-Dec-2010 I were gotten to Diagnosis of Acute Viral Hepatitis & discharged on 07-Dec-2010.I submit my claim for Reimbursement to TPA (FHPL) Hyderabad.The TPA reject my claim with the excuse of discrepancy in medicine bills.Today i submitted the Justification Latter of Chemist to TPA(FHPL).Request you to release my Claimed amount as soon as possible.

              As I had spoken to your gurgaon branch regarding the clam form due to

              their non coprative behaver I hadn't received the clam from by courier later
              on at last movement I down load all the form available at your site filled
              properly & in mean while it was delayed by 3days than they said this is not
              right form & given the new form & told to write the application regarding
              the accept the late process of clame form.

              And I summite all the document personnal by hand & for last 2week they are
              telling it is under process & I may get the clam next week & now they are
              telling it is rejected.

                Hi,

                I have a car insurance from HDFC Ergo GI Company and I had an accident and availed the insurance claim. My car was hit from the back badly and thus was not in the condition to be driven to the workshop. I thus had the car towed, but the insurance officer did not agree to reimburse the tow charges and I was given a reason that since the car was on it's four wheels and hit from behind thus the tow charges cannot be entertained. I had paid Rs.1600/- for the tow charges to the towing company and had submitted the receipt to the claims officer.
                Later on I contacted their customer care and they sent me back to the claims office who agreed to pay out the towing charges but only of Rs.600/- saying that the car workshop was 20 kms from the place of accident and HDFC pays out Rs.30 per km as towing charges.
                Now if I look into the HDFC policy document, there is no mention of towing charges to be paid per km wise or the rates for it, but it just mentions that a maximum amount of Rs.1500/- would be paid for towing charges.
                Since then I have been trying to contact their customer care who sends me back to the claims officer and no one is willing to send out anything in writing.
                Its been more than 3 months now but nothing is being done by them.

                  i am Raju B Nitture from basavakalyan hdfce ergo apointed as dealer,in this case i have issued the cover note in the name of MR TAYAB as idv of 900000/- but when i called toll free no purpose of idv confirmation so thay told me this policy is inforce but idv is 769000/- but in my policy copy having idv 900000/- which has send u as a attachment pls see it sir
                  i am the agent what i am do sir, hdfc ergo co has doing this type cheating in the business how can i belive, we r depending on payouts, custmer will pressuring me u r commited to me as 900000/- idv so do it u said, so i am in trouble sir pls help me thank u sir

                    General — termination

                    i have loged a compliant on 25th april on termination on realiane wimax connection but till now no action had been taken from reliance people. i have terminated this connection beacuse it is a cheap connection i have seen in my life. when ever i start my computer it says it has limited or no connectivity. i'm fed up with reliance wimax it really sucks . who ever reads my quota please dont ever think to take reliance any of the products it really sucks..yakk .. i[censored] people can help me terminate the cheap realiance so plz help me i wil be great ful.

                      Dear Sir,

                      I have bought a Maruti Suzuki Swift LDI from DD Motors in Dehra dun in 2008 and got my car insured by New India Insurance Company Limited. in after purchase 3 month it got banged in Feb 2009 I claimed for damaged parts in an accident. Company noted the same in its record. Later on while renewal of the insurance policy I got call from HDFC to renew it and they offered me less premium rather then other company's with all the thing covered in insurance.
                      in-spite of knowing that i got claimed from previous company they given No claim bonus without mentioning anything about the same in cover note.

                      I have paid the account they asked For renewal and they gave me cover note without telling me that there is any no claim bonus is being given to me and I paid amount to them whatever the asked me .
                      Then I met with a small accident and gave my car for repairing in FAst Track Noida Sector 63, the surveyor rejected the claim with the notes that "despite taking a claim last year I have also taken a no claim bonus so this claim cannot be cashless"I had to take my car without repairing it.

                      And need to repair it with my own own money although i have paid premium for insurance

                      Now conclusion is if my car will met with major accident or stolen i can not get claim , My car is not insured with HDFC even i paid the premium they asked .
                      then what is the use of the insurance if we are not getting claim with an insurance company, they are making mistakes and we are suffering.

                      Even i am not sure what will happen in next year insurance renewal.

                      Kindly take a strong action against this company to save consumers' time, inconvenience and money. And also ask the company to pay my money (Premium) in full.

                      Look forward for your immediate action.

                      HDFCErgo Insurance — Insurance premium

                      It is said in the beginning that the HDFC Ergo Insurance premium can be paid in 12 instalments.but in my credit card the entire amount of Rs 8841 is given to pay at a time.it is very difficult for me.Hence do justice
                      I would agree with you. I have been trying to get a claim registered let alone anything else. they have been sitting on it for more than a month now.

                          Dear Sir/madam,
                          I had brough a new chevrolet cruze on April 16 2010 , which met with a serious accident on 24 july 2010 i.e in 3 months , and the car is claimed as total loss by the company, since then i have been calling agents of HDFC in surat and Ahmedabad, but still no result, my bank instalments are been paid regularly and i am not able to settle the matter because of lathergic work of hdfc insurance. They are not able to get the buyer for the car that is why they are delaying the matter .
                          When we go to buy the policy they promise so many things and want money for the premium on the same time. Now when it comes to paying back they have ample of reasons to elongate the matter.
                          Inspite of the car being just three months , if they are not able to give me back the insured amount, what can i expect from them if the car would have been three years old.I have also offered them to deduct 50000 rupees from the insured amount and pay me the balance immediately , but still they are not able to come on a decision, so now i think i have to ask them for full insurance amount by lodging a complaint in consumer court. Have given them last date on monday otherwise i will file a complaint against the company

                            Reference : My HDFC ERGO Family Mediclaim Policy No.50204032 PA.No.5651/1

                            Sir,

                            I got a call from hdfc credit card dept for having a cashless health card insurace from bajaj allianz. They told me that they will taked money from my credit card and pay to bajaj allianz and latter every month they will debit my credit card and i use to pay the money to my credit card a/c. All they told me over phone. I accepted and i have also paid the premium amount Rs.5464/- to my Bajaj Health policy no.OG[protected]-00000031 in June 2009.

                            Then when for the 2nd year renewal they called me over phone and told that "Bajaj tieup is over and we are giving our HDFC Ergo Health insurance and the same policy will be continued and you have paid for the one full year and there is no claim for that we will are availing bonus amount also". Even i asked them now you are changing the company later you sholud not tell me that you are not eligible for the claim. For that they answered me that "the claim will be accepted becuase you have already paid one year in bajaj policy".

                            Last month August'2010 i was examined by the eye surgent and he told me that my right Eye has got catract and have undergo for surgery.

                            Then through Ananya Hospital the Pre Authorisation request is faxed to HDFC Ergo Insurance. Then reply fax of denial of cashless service report sent to the hospital. For that the reason given is "Cashless facility is denied as Exclussions are applicable". Then I have enquired the Greviance cell they answered me that after 2 years only i am eligible for the claim. The Terms and conditions which i have received with my policy there is no years mentioned for any of the cliams It is said that after 30 days.

                            Kindly let me know when we are eligible for the catract surgery claim. It is not my mistake for changing the company. They only forced me and changed it HEFC Ergo.

                            I have lost my money nearly Rs.10,000/-. Now hospital have coated me around Rs.15,000/- will incured for the catract surgery. Any how every year we are going renew the policy and continue this. My policy Insured value is 1lac.

                            Kindly clarify me what is the period of eligibility for claim and also help me to come out of this expenses.

                              Insurance paid via HDFC Bank Cheque No 0173216The Bank Statement clearly says that it is been transfered in HDFC Ergo GIC Ltd. Amount: Rs 14,946/-.(dated 4th september, 2009)

                              In the first place, the car owner never received the policy papers.
                              When for year 2010, the car owner, Manch Communications tried to trace the details of the policy with details stated above, the company (customer care centre) said that they can not trace any such policy. the customer care person kept on asking about "cover note" which also the owner does not have. Now the owner is unable to understand when unfortunate incidents or disaster occure, usually, the owners lose out or misplace all the relevant documents. In such cases also, the insurance companies can help the policy holders. and in spite of giving these many details, why HDFC Ergo GIC Ltd is not able to find out or trace the said car-insurance policy.
                              God forbidden, if there is a disaster, when people loose out many documents, in that case also will the company keep on insisting on "cover Note" or "Policy Number" or "Policy Document"? When told clearly that the cheque has been encashed in company's favour, still the company is not able to help. can it tell the car owner that where the money has gone?

                                My vehicle Wagon R, Regn No UP 32 AF 8198 and insured through HDFC ERGO had met with an accident. As advised it was sent to an authorised work shop , repaired and returned. However, the reimbursement of the amount due to me has not been received as yet though on tele I have been informed by Shri Iftikhar( tele [protected]) that the cheque has been sent to me. I am, however, yet to receive the cheque.

                                It may kindly be noted that though the address mentioned in the regn documents mentions the address as 3/6 Vinay Khand, Gomtinagar, Lucknow 226010, that, however, was 10 years back and is no more applicable, The claim forms etc carries the latest address and the cheque be sent on the present address mentioned in the documents and reproduced below:

Today I called up your Ernakulam Office (MG Road, Ravipuram) They dont have any idea about the renewal. Now they told me they cant renew my vehilce because its a 10 year old car. Why you people didnt call me before. this is not the service we expect from your side. Especially your Ravipuram branch is the worst branch I have ever seen.

                                    I have taken car insurance from HDFC Ergo . I have gone through terrible experience after submitting claim. It took almost one month to receive chque after continueoue follow up.Though i have submitted all address proof still my address is worngly mentioned in system. First they could not locate claim papers,i came to know this after repeated follow one week after submission. Helpdesk has no updates they asked to contact different people , do not have why centralised helpdesk is established.One person says claim is under process while other say its not received, their system are always work slow. When asked to correct address they confirmed that it is done by email and next time i called up still worng address was there,after narrating whole story they found out correct address. Now i receive chq but email from helpdesk says they will revert soon ,this response came after 2 days.Patehtic service, no proper system, no one is responsible.Pls do not subscribe for it

                                      I had HDFC Ergo Life insurance policy last year. I submitted a reimbursement claim for an MRI scan done in 2009 March. I send the scanned copy of the Bill to the HDFC Agent. He told me to wait for some time as they were busy with their work because of financial year closing in March. Then I contacted him in April and he said they are positive about my claim. I asked him should I submit my Bill to HDFC ergo insurance. He asked me to keep the Bill with me as it should be given to HDFC Ergo when I receive the check. So I kept the bill with me. After that in may he said me that the check is issued and it will reach me. But I didnt receive the check until now. Every time when I call him he will check it, or he is busy right now.

                                      You people saying documents received from hospital Accountant Metha? Who is he? Metha name person not there in hospital.

                                      And also u people saying i already took treatment from MGM Hospital and claim from Reliance Insurance? How it is MGM name Hospital not there in Bangalore and also I dnt have Insurance policy from Reliance.

                                      so I requested for Reopen the claim and process it . Discharge summary and IP Case sheets date is mention clearly, If you want from hospital said send your person to Hospital and take this document.

                                      How it is my claim is rejected? HDFC Ergo escape from claim that's the reason HDFC Ergo people only modified what i sent document and sent to me and saying this evidence we got from hospital. This is way HDFC Ergo work. why u people cheating policy holder. what kind of fraud policy this is. If HDFC Ergo playing with policy holder. HDFC Ergo insurance is scam . cheating people with name Health insurance .

                                      What u people thinking about me ? Am I pool? u people saying based on evidence document from hospital claim is rejected. Firstly u r person not at visited hospital, secondly How dare u people what i sent document discharge date modified and sent back to me and saying this is the evident we collected from hospital. what u people think of me Am I pool?                                         Indifferent & Go to Hell attitude

                                        Dear Sirs,

                                        I am the owner of Maruti 800 - KL 04 N 6996, registered in the name of Satheesh Kumar, my brother.

                                        This was purchased from Indus Motors, Kochi and delivered at Kayamkulam on 31.10.2003.

                                        Within a few days of the purchase, another vehicle made a dent on the back door.

                                        I went to the Indus showroom to get this repaired. To my surprise the Officer there told me that it will cost nearly Rs. 2,500 (two five zero zero rupees) and that I must leave the car there for two days.

                                        From Indus, I went to another workshop at Kayamkulam known as Autocat, and within 1 hour, the Technician there levelled the dent on the back after removing the back glass. They charged me Rs. 100, I got back my vehicle in one hour, and they permitted me to watch the whole exercise.

                                        This was my first bitter experience with Indus and thereafter I visited Indus only for the free services.

                                        All other repairs were done at other places and I have never approached Indus Kayamkulam nor have I claimed any Insurance benefits until 12.12.2009.

                                        On 12.12.09 midnight, I met with an accident and the pictures are given below.

                                        The car went out of control, hit an Electric post, and broke it into two with the left hand side wheel.

                                        By evening of 12.12.09, the car was shifted to Indus motors for repair as advised by a friend of mine and this copied to him - name KHM Ashraf, who is also a surveyor.

                                        On 16.12.09, I contacted M/s. HDFC Ergo, informed them about the accident, and got the Claim No. 331598.

                                        The ERGO surveyor one Mr Rajesh surveyed the damages and by 6.1.10 M/s. Indus motors informed me to take delivery of the vehicle and said that I must pay Rs. 9,500 as my share and the rest will be paid by the Insurance company. To my surprise, neither the Surveyor nor the Technician at Indus involved in this repair has informed me the extend of damages or the cost involved and my share of the kitty. Everything were guarded secrets between Indus & HDFC ERGO.

                                        However, my friend Ashraf, who visited the workshop and assessed the damages knew something more and told me that the battery is also damaged in the impact and see that they are changing it also as I have a legal right for its replacement.

                                        As expected, when I visited Indus to take delivery of the repaired vehicle on 6.1.10, I found that the battery has not been replaced as required. Then I was forced to remove the battery and showed them the leak and the technician involved came with an excuse that the surveyor is not agreeing for the replacement.

                                        I just do not know whether a battery change was already recorded and they are playing a game to fool me and pocket the money.

                                        From my first experience with Indus, I am convinced about this cheating of Insurance firms by people involved -- for a repair that I paid Rs. 100, the Indus masters demanded Rs. 2,500 and promised that the Insurance firm will pay the money.

                                        The car has an AC and Gas connection and I am not aware whether these things are in order after the repair. The major parts of these two additional fittings are on the left side of the vehicle damaged in the accident.

                                        I also feel that the Surveyor involved - Mr. Rajesh - is trying to be smart to be in the good books of the Insurance Company by cheating people who patronise HDFC-ERGO. I understand that this Mr. Rajesh is making more than a lakh every month from Insurance companies. On the other hand my friend cited is not in the good books of Insurance firms as he is more concerned with the rights of the customers.

                                        I am a doctor working at CHC, Thrikunnapuzha, which is 17 kms. away from my home and I drive an average of 80 to 100 kms everyday for various purposes. Unfortunately, my 90-year-old mother had a fall on 15.12.09 and she broke her thighbone and was admitted in a hospital 15 kms away from my home at VSM Hospital, Mavelikara, which is in another direction. So for the last 20 days I was forced to travel more than 150 kms. daily. For this, I was forced to hire a car paying a daily rent of Rs. 600.

                                        As I found out on 6.1.10 that the repair done at Indus was not satisfactory, I left the Indus showroom without taking delivery of the vehicle after showing them the leak in the battery.

                                        To my surprise, no one from Indus Kayamkulam bothered to call me till date and inform me about the progress -- till today - 9.1.10. However, a girl from Kochi Indus Office was calling me regualarly from phone No. [protected] for the last four days to find out whether I was happy or not with the repair work done at Indus Kayamkulam. She used to call me when I am busy with my hospital work and used to tell her to call me after 1 pm. However, she has not done that. Moreover, there is no meaning in telling all these to her.

                                        Hope both the parties involved -- Indus & HDFCERGO -- will take up this issue seriously. My personal loss for hiring the vehicle for my day to day use works out to Rs. 18,000 by now.

                                        Kindly see that I am not driven to other places to get what I deserve.

                                        Indus Motors/HDFC ERGO — Irresponsible attitude

                                        Technicians at Indus are unable to convince the HDFC-ERGO Surveyor to do justice to the customer.
                                        The car shown had a broken battery and the Surveyor is not ready to replace it and the Indus Technicians fixed the broken and leaking battery and want to deliver the car to me. I do not know whether there is some foul play between the tow parties.
