I registered a complaint at the start of June that the AC was not cooling
After a couple of visits, the technician concluded that the copper cooling coils needed to be replaced. This was on June 11

Since then i have been emailing and calling up with no action

There is no response to emails and the only response i get on phone is it will be repaired once the part is received

I have tried to escalate on their website. But it does not allow escalation without a Unique Reference Number which has not been shared with me.

All i have is the following complaint number [protected].

Am at my wits end. please help

    I have been calling your customer care and sent several emails to you on the subjected complaint but there is response since 04jun22 and had spoken with one guy called Hitesh and he said will deliver by 28th but till now I didn't receive it. Not sure where the problem is.. I want compensation for this and I have gone through severe stress due to this.. I will not recommend any one to buy Hitachiiiiiii products at all. I have recorded the calls which I spoken with your customer care and service center and planning to file a case on you people in consumer court

          I bought a 1-ton Hitachi Split Air Conditioner with Serial Number SE210H09958 from the online website of Croma on 15 March 2022 and the same was delivered by Infiniti Retail Limited, Khasra NO 21/[protected]& 21/[protected], , Village Tikri Kalan, New Delhi, DELHI-110041. Soon after I have been facing issues with respect to its cooling since 12 May 2022 for which I lodged a complaint with Hitachi Customer Care on 13 May 2022 as the AC is under the Warranty Period given by the company, which was addressed on 15 May 2022 by a service center person who visited to assess the AC and told me that some part got damaged which they will arrange to be changed within a week’s time. When I connected with his senior [protected], he told me that the Machine will be replaced from our side free of cost but it will take 15 days. On my request for some alternate arrangement, the service person offered me a temporary solution in lieu of Rs 3500.00 without any receipt, which was actually an amount to be paid unofficially, which I denied. However, after 15 days I called them on daily basis to know about the Air Conditioner replacement status. On[protected] one senior person [protected] from Hitachi Ltd informed me that the company doesn’t have a machine of 1 Ton to replace and if I want replacement immediately, I can upgrade the machine to 1.5 Ton by paying Rs 4, 000.00 extra. I found myself in a situation with no other way and I paid Rs 4, 000.00 on 06 June 2022. After a span of three days, I regularly requested updates on the status of the replacement with the same executive [protected] regarding the last assured period of installation of a new machine. It was really the worst experience when the executive starts ignoring my messages with no response on WhatsApp or on call. Ultimately for a speedier address to my issue, I posted a social media post reflecting my trouble with Hitachi on Twitter and Facebook, in response to which I received a call on 20 June 2022 from Hitachi Customer Care asking me to send a formal complaint via E-mail on [protected]@jci-hitachi.com along with the bill and all proofs of my conversation and payments with Hitachi representatives till date. In response to the above-mentioned complaint, I received an automated assurance for redressal of my issue. Apart from this, I got a message on Facebook messenger from someone named Gauravi who denied disclosing her designation and her pet reply was, ‘Please allow me some time to get back to you. Gaurvi, Team Hitachi’ on 20 June, 23 June, 24 June, and 25 June too however, to date 28 June 2022 there has been no action taken to resolve my issue.
          I am using a total of 5 ACs in my flat and all are Hitachi Split ACs as I believed in the reputed name of Hitachi Limited and associated myself with this company as a consumer with good faith to get access to a good quality product and trustworthy after-sales services. However, my experience and interaction with this reputed company during this period has been a complete violation of my faith and right as a consumer of this company. The reason told to me for the AC being ‘Out of Stock’ is convenient to the company but completely unacceptable to me as a consumer of this big and reputed company. In pursuance of this situation where the company such as Hitachi Ltd. has given up on my complaint on mere account of an OUT-OF-STOCK situation when a fresh piece of a Split 1.5-ton Hitachi Air Conditioner 3 Star Inverter AC is very much available in the markets which is a big irony to the reason given by the company executives in response of my complaint.
          As an informed consumer, simple dismissal of my continuous complaints against the defect arising in the product is unacceptable. I reserve the right under Section 9(iv) of the Consumer Protection Act to be heard and to be assured that my consumer interests will receive due consideration.

          Not only this demand of Rs 3500.00 on 15 May by an employee of service center with the collusion of his senior Mr. Zafar ([protected]) and the sum of Rs. 4000 paid by me in dire pursuance of a speedy and effective solution guaranteed by an employee of Hitachi Ltd with the contact number, [protected] on account of the difference for immediate replacement of my 1-ton Hitachi Split Air Conditioner with a 1.5-ton Hitachi Split Air Conditioner 3 Star Inverter AC is a clear case of cheating and fraud on the part of the Company against which I have the right to file a criminal complaint under section 415 and section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
          I have been a patient consumer to date, as a result of which there has been no resolution of my issue and it has caused me a grave inconvenience as I lack access to an Air Conditioner in this scorching heat as well as wastage of my time in registration of complaints numerous times.

            This is regarding SPLIT DUAL INVERTER 1.5 tonne AC purchased by me on 1st June 2019. I purchased this AC with 3 years warranty under BSES scheme in which below 5star rating AC is replaced by 5 star rating AC at price list agreed between Companies/dealers and BSES. Under that scheme there were 2 prices for same AC, one with 1year warranty and another with 3 years warranty. I opted for the higher price of AC which was coming with 3years warranty. Also i have been told by customer care executive that the warranty for PCB controller is 5 years. I am attaching a copy of my AC bill where it is clearly mentioned '3 year manufacturer warranty'.
            Recently, I have placed a request for servicing on 16th april 2022 with Req No:[protected] with my registered Mobile No. On this request no one contacted and reached my home for servicing. On 11th may 2022 i got a message that my request is being cancelled due to 'Customer Not Contactable'.
            Again i placed a complaint on 13th june 2022 with request No: [protected]. Technician visited finally but they are charging me with visiting charges and Gas refilling charges. Although it is very clear that it's PCB connector has got damaged. I showed my AC to my known person who is in such maintenance work only, as per him it's PCB connector needs to be replaced. Technician want to make money by charging me with gas refilling charges which is of no use. That guy was so rude and misbehaved with me.
            Further i am denying the charges to pay because if hitachi technicians would have visited in april itself i would not have to bear these charges as my 3yrs warranty was applicable till 1/06/2022, but no one visited on my earlier request.
            I would like to mention here that once already it's PCB has been replaced in may 2020. Such a pathetic quality by such a big brand name Hitachi. They are just charging for extended warranty but not providing complaints resolution. Really disheartened with the quality and after sales services. I want its PCB connector to be replaced as soon as possible.
            Kindly Look into the matter and escalate my issue.

            I have received the mail on 14th July and i replied back on the mail on same day. Till then no response received. Pathetic after sales services from Hitachi. If my issue will not get resolved soon, i will go on higher resolution mechanisms.

              I purchased HITACHI AC in July 2021..it worked fine in the 2021 Summers ...and now as we started our AC in summers 2022 it just gives cooling for 30 min or 1 Hours and after that it stops giving cooling...I complaint in HITACHI customer care..No response...service centre is not responding ...its really hard to live without AC in Bareilly, U.p (India) in this time..temp goes to 45-46 Degree Daily...Nobody is giving the right solution to my problem.
              Service centre person came to check and noticed the problem and after that he said to get the AC replaced but our complaint was closed automatically by the company without any replacement or repair...I have been using Daikin AC which is working perfect for more than 5 years but this HITACHI AC is worst I have used...plus customer care is even worse...after spending 26000 rs for a 1.5 Ton Hitachi AC my hard earned money is all wasted by Hitachi...i must have bought Daikin or Voltas AC instead of HITACHI they know...the customer needs...service is good...my mother and my wife stays at home on 1st Floor and room Burns like an oven without AC which makes impossible to live in the room ...I am complaining from 1 month but tha company and service centre person keeps on delaying the matter...so that my AC gets out of warranty and they don't have to replace or repair it...as weather is too HOT it's really hard to live without AC. I request the concerned Authorities to kindly look into the matter ASAP.
              STOP HITACHI in INDIA...HITACHI IS WORST and SERVICE CENTRE IS EVEN BAD.

                Respected Sir,
                This is to inform you that I’ve raised a complaint since a month of my refrigerator. The technician visited us and told about the problem in compressor and the compressor was taken by him and it was promised that it will be done within a week as it is in warranty and after that there has been no positive response which is really disappointing.
                Looking for a revert ASAP !
                I hope my concern will be solved .

                  The said Complaint was registered on 07.06.2022 and was unattended in 48 hours.

                  Reminder was given and the technician visited on 09.06.2022 at 8:30 PM i.e after 48 hours.

                  Till today the complaint is unresolved even after involvement of various ASM, etc.

                  The call was directed to various service centres from Hitachi's end but no respite.

                  This new service centre personnel demanded Rs. 500 as service charge which I have already paid to the technician who first visited for inspection of the complaint.

                  The service centre i.e. Magic Services owner says that he has booked the part on 10.06.2022 and the same is still not received from the company i.e. Hitachi.

                  Mr. Raghav of Hitachi gave me the mobile number of Shri Avinash who is not picking up the call. (Just don't know how much follow up is to be done)

                  It is sad to say that now no one is picking up the call

                          To Hitachi Team,

                          I'm Simran from Ahmedabad city. We've purchase a Hitachi Refrigerator almost 4-5 years ago from a local authorized store. I've attached the fridge's photos. Recently, since last 2 months, we've been facing some issues of cooling in it. As a result, since then, we've contacted to all the service contact numbers. These numbers are listed on the following websites where we can approach the contact numbers for service support. These numbers also include the numbers mentioned on the google maps for the service centers present in our Ahmedabad city.

                          We've been calling each of these numbers since then. Some of these numbers are inactive. In case of active numbers, oftentimes, nobody picks up our calls and other times they pick the calls and after listening to our service requirement, they will say that soon a technician from their side will contact us. But we haven't received any call from their technician till now even when we've repeatedly called them again and again.

                          One of their technicians did came last month twice just to evaluate the issue of cooling and both the times he claimed that he requires a special tool to fix the refrigerator so he will visit us again and also will bring that special tool on his next visit. But he never came till date. Since then he also stopped picking our calls. In both of his visits, he charged us Rs. 500/- just for his visiting charges and did nothing for fixing the refrigerator.                           2 weeks ago, by luck, one another technician from Hitachi (Mr. Sanjay Prajapati: [protected]) did picked our call and committed to visit us in the evening to solve the refrigerator issue. Then, as expected, he didn't come. When we called him in the late evening to follow up regarding his commitment, he didn't respond to our repeated calls.

                          Last week, we also emailed to the Hitachi customer care email id ([protected]@jci-hitachi.com) and got an automated reply mail (screenshot attached) which mentions that a representative would contact us within 2 working days. Its been a week since then but nobody from Hitachi responded.

                          After all this, we're so much disappointed by such pathetic service from such a well known company like Hitachi. We feel abandoned by Hitachi's service executives. After getting immensely frustrated by such disservice from Hitachi, I'm writing this complaint. I hope that the concerned person from Hitachi takes swift action after reading my complaint.                           After my complaint, we did received a call from Mr. Irfan Siddiqqie[protected] who who claimed to be the manager and commited that he would resolve the issues in 1 week duration. Also, after 2 days one of his colleagues (Mr. Jaimin patel[protected] did visited us as well to evaluate the promlems. He claimed to be from some company named "Symphony Voltas" and said that they need to replace the "panel door strip" of our refrigerator and so he said that he will ask the company to arrange the same.

                          One week passed and there was no update from Hitachi's side. We followed up from them and they said that the part seems unavailable so they've demanded for its supply from the company.

                          We again called last week to both Mr. Irfan and Mr. Jaimin but both of them weren't picking our repeated calls. Today its almost been a month and still there's no update from Hitachi.

                          Its seems like they've given up on our complaint as the Hitachi company couldn't arrange the spares that are needed to fix our refrigerator's cooling issue.

                          How much longer do I need to wait? Its already been more than a month since I raised my complaint.

                            On 11 june the service man from hitachi came to my house for ac service he said my ac has no gas and it’s PCB is damaged ma’am and now total your expenses are 6800 it’s better you take our plan of 2 years for free service then I made payment of 6600 On 15 June that gait has come and put repaired part in my ac and when I said about gas he said gas is there then asked home earlier u told That pcb is damaged and gas is to filled in ac and now you saying no need for gas then why u mislead me pls take charge of your service and repair mat of PCB rest pls refund to me then he said he will come in 2 hours to check again and now I called him on Thursday to refund my money he is disconnecting my calls pls help🙏

                              My complaint number is [protected], it's been 15 days since the service technician took 500Rs from us!The compressor is faulty over here yet he gave me a slip and said it will be resolved in 1-2 days and its been 15 days yet there has been no response!Hitachi has a fraud service provider with the name of COOL POINT[Plot no-221, Gyan khand-1 indirapuram]
                              I spoke to their manager with number [protected] who is equally adamant on not helping us!
                              I am going for an FIR now since its a criminal offence as this guy is hurling abuses!

                              These guys are frauds, they dont respond even on facebook, call or anywhere else.they have also not responded to my emails.I need full compensation for the mental harrassment and i will sue you frauds.guys file a case ASAP these frauds wont let you live otherwise.

                                I had purchased a split Ac 1.5 Ton AC from New Rhythm House, Sector 18, Noida From the date of installation, I had faced a lot of problems like lot of sound coming from internal unit, a lot of vibration in external unit etc which is quite unusual. After facing so many problems, I think that the product is defective. I had complained a several times in the Hitachi Customer Care which they attended but there was no satisfactory result. At present the AC is not working as it should. The room is not cooled at all.In this scorching heat, me and my family is facing a lot of problems. The purpose of buying this AC is in vain if I can’t use it when required. In this unwanted situation, I would humbly request you to make some arrangements to replace this defective unit with a new model

                                  Hitachi service request no. is [protected]
                                  On 5th July, 2021, I bought an Hitachi AC whose gas was leaked after 10 days. Technician came and refilled gas and said it will not be leaked next time. But After 1 month only, it was leaked again.

                                  This year, it been twice that the gas was leaked. On 4th June 2022, I have raised complaint and on forcing Technician to check properly, he show me the leakage in out unit condenser. He told me that is in warranty and will be replaced within 5 days.

                                  Now, its 10 days, no part is changed yet.

                                  I called Hitachi customer support ([protected]). Support agent told me that they cannot help on this as they only creates new request and give updates. He suggest me to call technician or service center.

                                  I called technician (+[protected] and he gave me service center contact number (+[protected]
                                  service center told me if I want to get more update I need to call support.

                                  So, they are putting me in a loop and not wanted to replace it.

                                  I received a call from Hitachi. He said, whole AC will be replaced but I have to close the ticket. I told him to not to close ticket until part will be replaced. But he still closed the ticked. I received this message but part still not replaced -
                                  Call No.[protected] is closed, Amount collected Rs.0 for the work done. Pls call at[protected] or[protected] in case of any concern. Hitachi

                                  This is very unprofessional. Now I don't have any active complaint no. On 5th July 2022, AC's warranty will be expired.
