I purchased Hitachi 1.1 ton ac in 2010. This AC stopped cooling on 20 April 2012. I made complaint on 22 April 2012 and ac was taken by their service centre Fusion Services Noida on 23 April 12 and I was informed that cooling coil of the ac is defective and has to be replaced. But it is very disgusting that company like Hitachi is not repairing my ac because they don't have stock of those cooling coil. I ve not rceivef my ac till today i.e. 12 May 2012. I advise all not to buy any Hitachi Product as the service is pathetic. And quality of the parts is poor as they are being replaced in 2 years

Hitachi Air Conditioner — Disgusting Services

ALERT NEW A/C BUYERS...Never Buy a product from Hitachi...it gives the ugliest after sales service, , ..in terms of punctuality and durability as well..The technitians are not able to even figure out the fault in my machine, almost one month have passed and i have not been attended yet...Ridiculous; this feels so irritating...Have i paid a premium price to get this kind of services??...I hate the company...i ll never buy hitachi product...neither anyone from my family or circle ...Alert new buyers...do consider my complaint...

Hitachi/ AC — Service response is very very poor

I put up a request for my 3rd free AC service on 5-April-2010 (Ref :[protected]. The service was suppose to happen on 10-April-2010 but till date it hasn't happen yet. I have made 2 calls to follow up and again it was promised to me that, this would be done by 17-April-2010 but still I am waiting for this to happen. I customer care respone is very pathetic. Buying a Hitachi product seems to be mistake, this is seems to be my first and last Hitachi product purchase.

Hitachi — service by company very poor

i have purchased a hitachi ac, i have registeration for demo and service but till date hitachi co. service centre not responce. i think hitachi have bad service so i will suggest any other that not purchased any hitachi producted otherwise u will be phease provelembs

it is about to 2-months, my Hitachi ac is under complaint(which is only 1-year old). we were not getting any type of service from the company
yes u are correct...I also installed the AC & remote is not working...lots of voice is coming out from AC...there is very bed response from the service provider...

    I bought an Hitachi 1.5 ton window AC on 8th April 2012 from Croma. Just 1 monthe after thee date of purchase, the AC stopped cooling. I registered a complaint on 8th May 4 o clock in thee morning.
    The next day , a technician came and said theat the gas has leaked out. I don't want a gas refill. I don't understand how could an AC stop working withein 1 monthe from thee date of purchase. I want my AC to be replaced.
    I asked thee Hitachi customer care executive to get my AC replaced withe a new one and he asked me to go to thee dealer from where I purchased thee AC for replacement. I went to Croma and thee Croma people said theat Replacement can be done by Hitachi. I called back Hitachi again and theis time theey said theat thee Fusion services will be decide whetheer AC should be replaced or not.
    I have called Hitachi Customer care more thean 10 times.

    I want to get my AC replaced. Please suggest

      Hi All,

      Please never buy any product of Hitachi in India, the service is very poor and talk to customer care representative is just waste of time even there is no way to escalate your problem; nobody is there to look into your problem. If you will try to call service center, nobody will pick your phone, or else it will get transferred to wrong department even if you are selecting the correct option on call. I made a service request 4 days ago (6th April), and since then i have been calling them everyday to check why am i not getting any calls from Engineer. They claim to have the SLA of 72 hours, but till date nothing has been done. The only thing, they can just give you one thing "False Commitments" only. So please beware of Hitachi.

      Hitachi — Pathetic Customer Service

      This is with reference to the Hitachi Customer Service complaint number [protected] made on 29th April 2011 for Hitachi Split Air Conditioner (AC) Not working. When i called them on 29th April, they told me it will be resolved in 48hrs but it has been 10 days now that i have been regularly following up with the Hitachi customer service to get my AC fixed.Still these people are lingering around things and the fact is that I am surviving with my 6 months old kid without AC in this soaring heat .

      I will not recommend anyone to buy Hitachi product because of this pathetic customer service.

      I am facing the same problem.
      yes I agree they are fraud I also bought one window AC (5 STAR) which has stopped working within one month of its purchase.

        The installation of our split ac 1.5 ton I clean model was started by hitachi customer care people on 08.05.12 but could not be completed due to lack of expertise.and the owner made a commitment to get it done in his own supervision but did not turn up even after a period of 3 days. It seems that we have made a mistake by changing our existing ac to hitachi, as the quality of service is visible. The product and or service seems to be not worth recommending to others. In case the company is not having necessary infrastructure, pl advise your dealer to take back the product and refund the money poaid to him.

          WE HAD BOUGHT 1 HITACHI A/C BUT SURPRISE TO SAY THAT THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER . IF WE BOUGHT THE WELL QUALITY GOODS WE WILL PREFER THE VERY SHARP & PROMPT SERVICE FROM THE COMPANY . BUT THIS COMPANY IS SO WORST THAT AFTER MAKING SEVERAL COMPLAINTS TO THEM NO BODY IS GOING TO ATTEND AT . WE THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD NOT ATTEND ANY THING WITH IN THE PERIOD OF WARRANTY AFTER THAT THEY WILL DISTURB US . IF THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE THAT KIND OF SERVICE THEN WE WILL BE HAPPY WITH LG , SAMSUNG THAT ARE TOO GOOD COMPANY

              I have Hitachi window A.C. 1.5T (RAT318 HRD). I have purchased that A.C on dated 14 April 2011. I have faced a problem of no cooling and lodged a complaint for the same on 19 march 2012. Technicians have visited and said to me that there is a leakage of gas and they took the A.C to the service centre for repairing and delivered it back after one week.
              Now after one month the warranty of my product is expired and the problem is still persisting and the Hitachi service centre is demanding the payment for servicing the product, but actually my product's complaint was not attended properly because the problem is still same.
              so i request pls solve my problem.

                My latest complaint no is [protected] dated 23rd march 2012 against foul smell & malfunctioning of SWING of 1.5 tn HITACHI WINDOW A.C. which i have purchased from NEXT SHOP of SURAT in the month of NOVEMBER. Just 4 month months after its purchasing the problem regarding the swing malfunctioning started ; earlier their technician arrived after our complaint then instead of its replacement they glued the swing with FEVIQUICK and said it will create no problem; but again after 2-3months the same problem started ; this time they replaced the swing that time i have demanded for replacement of A.C. then he said in future if problem occur then they will replace it; then again from last one month the problem regarding the foul smell started & swing itself got damaged; earlier when i complained about the foul smell then they said this is due to deposition of soil over the parts of A.C. creating foul smell & hence they washed the A.C. with water ; but later after 2-3 weeks the same problem started this time the swing got damaged itself also; then they had taken the A.C to their workshop & said that after chemical wash they will return it within 24 to 48 hrs but this time again also they have replaced it after several complaints & several calls & after 5 days;this is not the end of the story ; they have told that they will arrange the swing but still it was in same condition; when i have demanded for replacement of A.C. then they have told me the new story that as per their policy replacement of A.C. will done only 1 month after the purchasing which i have heard the first time & regarding the swing today some of their executive has called & told that sir your swing cum grill set has damaged & you will have to pay approx 1900 if you want to replace it; there is no animal; nor small children in our house who will damage it; but now i am feeling that i have cheated by them; once you will pay a huge amount for your comfort to HITACHI then you will be it trap & there is no chance to escape; i appeal to all of you that please do not purchase such type of item with worst quality & service ; in fact in future i will never purchase or recommend any one to purchase any item from HITACHI

                  I have purchased a hitachi split ac on 02.05.2012 and i have asked for instalation vijay digital, narasaraopet staff told me that your product will be instaled within 1 or 2 days. On 04.5.2012 i called the above said show room for instalation of my product. They told me that with in 1 hour our services will be done i have called a number of times but there is no response from their end. This show room is simply selling the product but not looking for customer service it is very poor performance.

                  Hitachi — No Response For Installation Of AC

                  I have faced such trouble from Hitachi and am still facing it. I bought a Hitachi AC on the 1st of may. After 2 days i was told that i have to register a request for installation on my own. I registered a request on the 4th of may, and i too was told that the AC would be installed in 48-72hrs.

                  But its been 7 days now, and still no response, even after repeated calls. All the executives have to say the same thing that 'I have forwarded your request, and I can't do anything beyond this'.
                  I was given the service center numbers from where my AC will be installed, but nobody answers the phone.
                  I am very disappointed with Hitachi, even without using the product.
                  No use spending extra on such a brand, as compared to other cheaper brands, when you cant even use the product for so long!!
                  The AC is lying in my room for so long, and my window is open since 10days, as i got my earlier AC removed.

                  Hitachi Air Conditioner — Delay in installation

                  I have purchased 1 No.2 T Window AC from Hitachi through Vijay Sales and AC has not been installed till date. Date of purchase 8.4.2012 and date of delivery 10.4.2012. Every time when I request the customer serviced they will send urgent request and the technician shall contact shortly.
                  I hope that the AC shall be iinstalled before winder!!!. The service of Hiutachi is very poor. Unless the Hitachi management takes proper action, they will be losing customers.

                    Subject : CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS WITH Hitachi ITEC INVERTER SPLIT AIRCONDITIONERS

                    Dear Sir,

                    We have two nos 1.5 T Hitachi ITEC Inverter ACs bought during year 2010.

                    • Ever since purchase of these ACs there have been recurrent problems with the Controllers and Motors. Both the controllers and motors have been changed in both the ACs many times by your team during last two years. The replacements have been done after endless haggling and follow up with your Service department as well as Field service staff based at Delhi.

                    • Due to such a pathetic performance both by the Hitachi product as well as the service team, we opted to incur additional costs and paid for the Annual Maintenance Contracts for both the ACs.

                    • To our utter disappointment and frustration, your service teams have not bothered to do the necessary services as per the AMC Contract.

                    • Despite our online Service Request Registration on your website, nobody has bothered to visit us for the service of the ACs.

                    • We then registered complaint over phone and were given the complaint numbers as follows :

                    • Even after this we had to do repeated follow up and were told that the service has been assigned to service staff, they shall contact, take appointment and visit you. To our surprise , one day two staff ( Vinod and Badal ) from Jaina Service Centre , Jaipuria Mills , Subzi Mandi ,Delhi arrived at our premises without information or appointment. On asking them the reason they told that they are told by the company Hitachi to go without appointment to the service calls.
                    • They did not perform any service citing the reason that the Model numbers mentioned on the AMC Contract are different from those installed at our home, and in the Call document showed almost 3 hrs at our premises.
                    • Further they declined to provide service for the AC whose AMC was upto[protected], saying it has expired. Also they told us to use the ACs at the same time declining to take off the ODU cover. If despite our Service Call Registration on web and over phone if Hitachi does not respond in time, why should we be penalized?
                    • We again contacted your Call Centre and were assigned fresh complaint number as follows :

                    • Again to my frustration, nobody from your organization or service centre has bothered to address our problem while both the ACs are not functioning at all.

                    We hope a company of Hitachi’s stature would surely be worried about the reputation of its products and services and take swift action to address our problem.

                    Further,

                    1. Due to inherent design problems of the ITEC Inverter ACs we are forced to maintain Annual Maintenance Contract. The company should solve the problems once and for all and assure to take lifetime warranty and refund our AMC money.
                    2. Otherwise if the company feels it is impossible for the ITEC Inverter ACs to run in Indian conditions , the company should take back the faulty air conditioners and refund our complete money with interest immediately.

                    In case our problems are not addressed within a week, we shall be forced to take the matter to consumer court. As a last resort we plan to auction these two ACs through Newspaper advertisements with complete record of problems and Hitachi response and action.

                      I registered a service request for the servicing of my air conditioner.

                      I was given an estimate of Rs.1800 by the centralized customer care guys.

                      I had asked for the visit on Saturday.

                      But, the service center guy from Patparganj, Delhi, visited my home the same day on Thursday, when I was not home.

                      He gave an estimate of Rs.2800 and collected Rs.350 as visiting charges.

                      He has not shown his face since and we feel cheated because of 2 reasons:

                      1.Given the wrong estimate at the time of service booking.
                      2.We feel held at ransom because of Rs.350 collected and no service done afterwards.


                      I AM PLANNING TO GO TO CONSUMER COURT COMING WEEK AND TAKE CARE OF THIS SITUATION, IF YOU GUYS DON'T DO SOMETHING ASAP.

                      Hi Sir/Madam,

                      This is Jenius here from Injambakkam, Chennai.

                      I bought Hitachi 5 star 1 ton split A/C (RAU512HUDD) from Ratna cools pvt ltd, Rajabather street, T Nagar, Chennai on 02.05.2015. It is installed on my home on 05.05.2015. A/C was not cooling properly on the 1 st Day onwards and so that i have registered a complaint vide number [protected] and our technician was visited my home and he ensure A/C Cooling is low due to Technical issue. After i follow you and finally got replacement on similar days. You can check your records for Replacement History. After replaced the unit issue resolved. Some days later i got same cooling issues in current Unit.

                      But due to Winter season i did not use the AC. This Summer starts march on wards i have been started to using it. But now same cooling issue, Again i registered complaint([protected]) dated 7/04/2016, your engineer visited and told found (Leakage in coil and oil choke) and also not able to reduce compresser pressure. Now it is in-warranty period so you will change the gas and clean the coil for Free of Cost. If this problem comes after six year, probably you can charge to me.

                      I wanted to bring this to your knowledge i got the replacement when i bought it for the first time and the replacement A/C also gives me trouble so often.

                      So i am totally dissatisfied with the Hitachi product. Now i dont want to service or replacement on my product. I need REFUND for the same.

                      I have sent this mail to Hitachi customer care nearly one week, but still didn't get any proper calls and solution from hitachi service center team. Daily i make a call to customer service to spoke about this issue, they put remainder only. On 15th april i went directly to Service center and spoke to that branch BSM Mr. Janakiraman (+91 [protected]). He asked me to give 2 days time i will ask my senior manager and will update the same on tomorrow, but still i didn't get call from him. I trried lot of time to his mobile number he cut my call or not pick my call. And i spoke to Mr. Karthikeyan (+91 [protected]) manager at Kottivakkam service center, he speak rudely and he dont know how to talk to customer.

                      So i have totally depressed about the Hitachi service team. Please treat this complaint as high priority and take immediate action and reslove my issue immediately.

                      I bought hitachi window AC on 22/05/2016 from Amba Shop, uttam nagar, new delhi-110059. My first free service is due. Regarding this I registered a service request for the servicing of my air conditioner. My complaint no. is [protected]. Some one called me, I request him to visit on Saturday. But no one visited for servicing till date.

                        I purchased a brand new Hitachi 1.5 t window air conditioner (Model No RAV18EQD) from Messrs Syam Lal Krishan Lal 1/206/28, Sadar Bazar, Delhi Cantonment (Tel No[protected] /[protected] on 04 Apr 12 vide Retail Invoice No RB-52 dated 05 Apr 12. The air conditioner was delivered in a sealed condition to my residence on 07 Apr 12 with instructions that a representative of Hitachi would install the air conditioner on 09 Apr 12. On 09 Apr 12 when the air conditioner (Serial No 110E13804) was opened from its packing it was noticed by the technician that the machine was in a damaged condition with Condenser coil damaged, Condenser coil fins damaged and shorting of the compressor wire. Complaint No [protected] was lodged on 09 Apr 12. Mr Rajesh Kumar Yadav Service Engineer of Hitachi Kirti Nagar Delhi office visited my residence on 11 Apr 12 and endorsed the observations of the person who had installed the air conditioner. The air conditioner was removed for replacement on 17 Apr 12 vide Goods Receipt Note No 053. I was asked to contact Mr Dharam of Hitachi Kirti Nagar Delhi office on Mobile No [protected]. Mr Dharam informed me on 20 Apr 12 that the air conditioner will be replaced and a fresh piece installed at my residence before 23 Apr 12. However, despite the following calls to your Customer Helpline on Tele 079—30414747, I remain in the dark with no satisfactory answer on the present status or when an air conditioner would be delivered / fitted at my residence.

                        (a) 24 Apr 12 - Ms Priyanka at your call center at 1530 h.
                        (b) 25 Apr 12 – Ms Swetha at 1530, Mr Shagun at 1730 who gave me an additional complaint no of [protected] and Mr Saket at 1745 h who asked me to contact the Kirti Nagar office directly on two landline numbers. These numbers appear out of service or on which there is no response.
                        (c) 26 Apr 12 – Mr Apoorv - I was informed that I would be given the current status by your representative after some time. I await such information.

                        Having paid full down payment in cash for installation of a new air conditioner on 04 Apr 12, I consider this a serious deficiency of service that an air conditioner has still not been fitted even after three weeks - when the summer is picking up and request Hitachi through your website to attend to my request for fitment of an air conditioner at my residence on priority.

                          This is the third year in a row that we have not been able to use our HITACHI AC in summers due to 'non-cooling'.

                          We feel we have been palmed off a faulty piece as we :

                          1. Bought it in April but finally installed in July 2010 due to faulty indoor PCB - call no 0495 - Motor & Indoor PCB of a brand new AC had to be changed

                          2. Outdoor PCB had to be replaced in May 2011 (the fault was rectified by their engineer on 20/05/2011 for complaint no [protected])

                          3. The AC doesn't work again this year

                          We have no energy to now follow up on this AC anymore. We are sincerely tired and end up having fights because I had suggested to my husband that we buy this particular expensive product (INR 53,700/- including stabilizer).

                          Could they replace it with a simpler model or give us at least half the refund so that we can buy a decent low budget AC which will help us tide through Delhi summers.

                          Please Hitachi return my money or give me another AC!!!!!

                          (and yes they do have rogue service people who had the audacity to say "let's talk if you want to pay Rs. 20,000/- for the repairs else I have other things to do" for an AC which was under warranty last year. They are rude and not helpful at all. We were told to first deposit INR 20,000/-, call up the customer care and then they would repair it on intimation from the call center.

                          Why were we supposed to pay almost INR 73,800/- for a new AC that we can’t even use???)

                            AC — poor performance

                            i purchased an lg air conditioner four months back, at first the performance was very good as months passed on the performance is degrading i.e the ac was taking so large time for cooling a single small room and also whenever i switch on the ac some foul smell is coming of it.Even when i contact customer service, the response was not good.They told that the engineer will come wintin in two days but they didnot turn up .

                            Hitachi Air Conditioner — poor sevicing

                            , Sahil Saluja, living at 150-C HOUSING BOARD COMPLEX, Sector-14 PANCHKULA(HARYANA)...I had purchased the window Air Conditioner from BANSAL ELECTRONICS, SCO NO.385 SECTOR-8 PANCHKULA, HARYANA (PH NO.[protected], 5011443) on 30th April 2008.. The Reference No. is 460...We had not been provided with the best services of hitachi company as promised by the company...Due to the improper services provided by the company, there was leakage of gas and we were facing the problem in the summer season...On our call, the employees working in the company came to repair the AC and underprotest we gave Rs1100 to them...While repairing the AC and providing the wet service, SWING MOTOR got damaged by Mr.Vishesh..Again on our Call, the employees came to repair the damage..We gave them Rs250 underprotest... I have attached the concerned bills of Rs1350..Kindly go through them..Although it was not my fault, though I gave Rs1100+Rs250=Rs1350...It was all due to the poor services provided bythe company...I m requesting them to kindly refund my money which I paid underprotest...                             Hitachi Air Conditioner — Lack of timely and adequate service

                            Complaint No 1638 & 1701 dated 10/Sep/2010 15/Oct/2010 respectively with Khyber Airconditioning Co, Ghaziabad for the Hitachi Airconditioner.

                            We initially lodged a complaint (No 1638) on 10/Sep/2010 for no cooling in our Hitachi airconditioner. Franchisee told us that the compressor was replaced again and also chrged us for filling gas in the machine. The machine was installed back on 30/Sep/2010 at our residence.

                            The cooling was not adequate and we lodged another complaint (No 1701) on 15/Oct/2010. Engineer came and advised that the machine was alright as per his assessment. We did not agree and reinforced that the cooling wasn't enough. The engineer then promised to send a senior engineer. No one has turned up since.

                            This complete lack of response and very discouraging.

                            Hitachi — No promised service under warranty provided

                            I have been following up with Hitachi for getting wet service due for my Air Conditioner since March 2011. The company is so irresponsible and inconsiderate that they simply close the registered service request without even attending the complaint (Req. # [protected], Req. # [protected])

                            I bought my AC from Tata Chroma and they inform me that they are equally helpless in getting me the necessary service.

                            Above this, one of the company representatives claims that in May my product is out of warranty and hence no service is due.

                            I feel that Hitachi is third grade product company with no customer orientation.

                              I had sent a Hard Disk drive to Hitachi under RMA
                              No. 36793889 on 22.02.2012 which was in warranty for replacement.
                              As per company policy, they have to replace the hard disk within 14 days from the date of submission of defected hard drive. I have requested the company many times to send my replacement but till date the company is not taking any action to replace the same. Every time, I contact the company, they send me the message that there is shortage of hard disk and we will send your replacement as and when the shortage will be over. As I am facing great hardship without my hard disk as I am unable to use my personal computer, it is requested that the company may be directed to send my replacement at the earliest and also force the company for a penalty if the company does not do the same. Needless to mention here that two month is already over.

                              HITACHI IS GIVING VERY BAD SERVICE TO CUSTOMER. I RECOMMEND TO ALL USER AROUND THE WORLD IS NOT TO PURCHASE HITACHI HARD DISK. VERY POOR QUALITY. & VERY VERY POOR SERVICE. NOT GIVING ANSWER TO HIS CUSTOMER.
                              500gbHDD -- RMA number: 37017845 . I HAVE GENERATE THIS RAM ON 09 AUGUST-2012- & I GOT MY HARD DISK BACK ON 03RD SEPTEMBER 2012. AND I GOT NEW HARD DISK IS NOT WORKING AND AGAIN I HAVE TO GENERATE RMA GO TO REPLACEMENT CENTRE. PRAY FOR ME THAT MY HARD DISK GET REPLACE FAST.

                              AND THIS IS NOT FIRST TIME. THIS IS ROUTIN FOR HITACHI COMPANY

                                I have gone through a nightmare with Hitachi Service. The company does not understand the meaning of word CUSTOMER SERVICE.

                                My AC unit was picked up for repairs 45 days back by Fusion Service (Hitachi's Authorised Service provider in Noida Sector 64) and I have not got my AC as of April 20 2012.

                                I even spoke to one Mr. Deepak Mishra - Branch Head Ghaziabad and Noida - phone no[protected] and he too like many others was of no help.
                                They just seem to be giving me excuses after excuses and having finally told me they don't have the cooling coil available in entire India.

                                I'm sure I'm among thousands of highly frustrated customers of Hitachi in India. HITACHI should be sued collectively for causing anguish to customers.

                                What a shame!!!!

FROM STARTING IT WAS GIVING A PROBLEM REGARDING THIS I MADE FEW COMPLAINTS AGAINST IT LAST YEAR AS DETAILS GIVEN BELOW.ON 10TH APRIL 2012 I CALLED AT PATHAK ENTERPRISES THAT AC COOLING IS AGAIN EFFECTING & NOT UPTO THE MARK & ON 15TH APRIL 2012 I VISITED AT HIS SHOP & AGAIN LAUNGED COMPLAIN .TILL DATE NO SERVICE ENGINEER HAS NOT ATTENDED IT.

                                  THE PROBLEM IS THIS THAT WHEN I USED ANY MODE IT'S COMPRESSOR IS NOT STARTING & STOPPING AUTOMATICALLY.COOLING IS NOT PROPER.

                                  I CAN'T ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHY I HAVE PURCHASED THIS HITACHI WINDOW AC? WHY I HAD SPENT SO MUCH MONEY IN COMPARISION TO OTHER WINDOW AC? AS FROM FIRST DAY I AM FACING PROBLEMS IN MY AC.

                                  DETAILS OF COMPLAINT MADE LAST YEAR:-

                                  1) LAST COMPLAINT WAS DONE ON THURSDAY ,6 OCTOBER 2011.BEFORE THIS 4 or 5 REMINDER ARE ALSO GIVEN BUT NO PROPER RESPONSE WAS MADE FROM YOUR END FOR MY WINDOW AC.

                                  3) SECONDLY I MADE TELEPHONIC COMPLAINT ON 21.09.11

                                  ONCE A SERVICE ENGINEER VISITED & REPLACE ONE PART OF FRONT PANEL & TOLD THAT NOW AC IS WORKING PROPERLY.BUT IN MY VIEW IT IS NOT GIVING PROPERLY COOLING AFTER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PART ALSO .

                                  IF THIS IS THE ATTITUDE OF INDIA'S NO ONE COMPANY THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM THEN I SELECTED THE WRONG PRODUCT. AFTER TWO OR THREE MONTH, IF THE PRODUCT NOT GIVES SATISFACTORY RESULT THEN WHAT TO DO.?

                                    Myself, Asit Parida, staying at Shalimar Garden, Sahibabad purchased one Hitachi 1.2 Ton Split AC from Navrang Electronics, Vikas Marg, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi on 29.03.2012(Thursday) and i requested them to intsall the AC on Sunday(1st April). All the items like Indoor Unit, Outdoor Unit, Installation Kit had dispacthed at my flat on the very next day. But till Sunday i did not open any item from its packing. The Hitachi authorised Installation Vendor person Mr Rajendra Yadav(# [protected]) of M/s S. N. Electrical, Vijay Chowk, Laxmi Nagar came to install the same and found that one Plastic part sensing to the remote and which is a part of the Indoor Unit is defective, which could not be installed at that time. He assured that this part will be replaced by Hitachi company at the time of demonstration to be provided by the Hitachi Authorised person. After continuously followup by me for the same to the Navrang Electronics, S. N. Electrical as well as Hitachi Customer Care, one person came on Sunday to give the demonstration, when we queried him about the defective part to be replaced, he refused that this is not the problem of Hitachi, the selling person(Navrang Electronics) has to do the replacement. then when we tried to ask Navrang electronics in front of the Demonstrator, Navrang refused to do the replacement stating that this is the problem of Hitachi and needs to be taken care by Hitachi.

                                    At the end of the day, the defective part has still not replaced , and as a customer, i have to suffer.

                                    Buying a Hitachi AC was a dream for me and now i feel that buying a Hitachi AC was a nightmare for me...

                                        Dear Sir/ Madam,


                                        Hitachi window AC Model No. RAV518ERD was purchased on Jan 25, 2012 & gifted to me. As I was travelling overseas, I could not get the AC installed at my home. When I contacted Hitachi customer care for installation, it was informed that free of cost installation is only provided within one month of purchase including demo or else it would be done on payable basis. Ideally it should not have been the case. If I am procuring a product after making complete payment, then it's installation, logistics, demo, etc.... are suppose to be done by the company.

                                        Thereafter I had to get the AC installation done on payable basis from outside. Never the less once I started using it, there was no cooling at all. All instructions were read from the manual & followed and I found that AC was not working properly & it worked like any ordinary fan. I had then registered a complaint at Hitachi helpline and one of the company staff visited on April 8, 2012 & certified that the compressor of the AC is not working at all since there is no gas in the compressor and it is a manufacturing defect and not due to mishandling. The company person also said that he would arrange someone from their warehouse to come and pick the faulty AC for repair and no replacement would be done. Person from Hitachi gave us the number as[protected] to contact in case I wish to get my AC repaired.

                                        On April 13, 2012 I received a call from [protected], stating that the person is calling from Hitachi & wanted to know when do we want to send our AC for repair. I categorically denied & said that I do not need repair & it needs to be changed i.e. replaced as I need a fresh unit. The Hitachi person clearly said NO about replacement.

                                        I had also contacted the retailer from where AC was purchased but it was of not any use.

                                        Is it fair on my part that I've got a faulty product of such a renowned company..........why can't it be replaced when your officials have confirmed that it is a manufacturing fault....I need a new unit.
