We have a hitachi split ac 1.5 tonnes ace model. The ac has stopped cooling since past 20 days. We made a complaint to hitachi customer care number on 25-5-12 vide complaint number [protected].
As per hitachi's commitments to its customers the customer care provided a timeline of 48 hours within which the problem will be resolved. Accordingly a mechanic visited our home on 28-5-12 (way past the 48 hours commitment) and informed us that he cannot fix this problem and another technician will visit us the very same day to fix it.
Since then nobody has visited and the ac is still not fixed. We have been continuously following up with customer care since then. On 01-06-12 mr. Parikshit from hitachi customer care informed that they have sent several reminders and the problem will be resolved on the same day (I.E.[protected]. He also provided number of service center M/S fusion services in kaushambi area of ghaziabad. The number provided was[protected]. To much of our disappointment, this number never gets answered. So far we have been able to get connected on this number only twice (after continuously ringing the line for atleast an hour each time). Last call on this number was attended by ms. Chandni who informed that the problem has already been assigned to the mechanic and it will be resolved by today evening.
After waiting for the whole day, no one turned up and the ac still waits to be fixed.
With the scorching delhi summers, this is a very frustrating experience. One that is not acceptable from a company like hitachi. Hitachi acs are not only one of the most expensive in market, their service charges are equally high. When a consumer is ready to bear the higher cost, they will expect a peace-of-mind as long as after-sales support is concerned.

But it looks like hitachi is too busy selling more of their bad quality air conditioners in indian market than fixing the problems faced by existing customers.

We already regret buying an ac from hitachi. A local air conditioner manufacturer would have provided much better support.

    I purchased Hitachi Window Air Conditioner on 9th April'12 through authorised dealer of Hitachi. AC has problem of low cooling. I registered the complaint with Ghaziabad Customer care (Ph:[protected] on 25th May'12 (Complaint No. [protected]) since then i am calling customer care daily & they are making false commitment of sending technician but, nobody is comeing from Hitachi to attend the complaint.

    Very Poor Service.

      I purchased one 1.5 ton split air conditioner direct from Hitachi on March 24, 2012, from the day of installment it is giving loud sound which is not bearable, two time service engineer came, they could not repair / correct.
      I think its manufacturing defect, need an expert to repair or machine is to be repaired immediately, its summer time, we are facing difficult time, we cannot tolerate sound.

        Swing is not working

        I have purchase a hitachi AC on Date 07.07.2011 but its right swing is not working .Its dealer Durga Enterprises says that my AC is well in warrenty but it is not cover swing motor So I have to pay for that repair The Company is silent about it Please help me.

        Hi,

        This is in regards to issues I have been facing since last two days. In April I purchased the best 2 ton available and since then I was not using it because it was installed through Hitachi in my living hall.
        On Monday I first used it as my guest came ands to my surprise the unit was as good as not working. I logged a complaint in evening and I was told that your issue will be resolved in 48hrs.I told that if it can be treated as priority request as I have my guests and would be here for a week. The rep said they would get it rectified soon
        Since then I have been making multiple calls and every time the folks said that we have marked the request as urgent and I will get a call. From first day I have been asking them if they can give me number for local center from where technician would come so that I can follow-up and every time they said they don’t have it.
        Today morning when I again called the agent I spoke was Karan ashani who said the same thing. Post multiple calls in evening I again got this guy who then said I to take number of local center and if I can follow-up.
        Then I asked that why w as it not shared with me at first time , I later asked if I can speak to his supervisor for which he denied saying that there are none and asked me to redial and press 2 where I would get supervisor. When I did this the person told that all supervisors leave at 6 and there are none.

        This is worst customer service I ever faced and when I needed the best support I did not get. I trusted this brand considering best customer service to which iam getting worst. It’s been two night and now three that there is NO FOLLOWUP and my guests are staying even I buying the best AC.I would not recommend this brand to anyone neither would buy any products and if possible please take the unit back and refund me.

          We have bought 2 Hitachi AC from Hindustan Refridgerations, Daryaganj, NEW DELHI about one and half years back.

          Now this summer season, when I started them, BOTH THE ACs ARE NOT IN WORKING CONDITION, one is making too much noise and other is not giving proper cooling.

          When I lodged a complaint at Hitachi, they have given us assurance of service within 48 hours, but more than a week has been passed and nobody has attended the complaint.

          We also have O-General ACs which are about 3 years older than above Hitachi ACs, but O General ACs are performing very good without any need of service from past 4.5 years.

          SO....NEVER BUY HITACHI AC......
          ALWAYS GO FOR O.GENERAL...

            I am ruchira sharma .We had purchased air conditioner from the COOLTECH CORPORATION chandigarh 2 yrs back . Since then we havent received any service from the company . It is very dissappointing on behalf of the company that we have filed a complaint with Mr. Nirav and Mr. akki of the company on a telephone call,even then no action has been taken .Our complaint ID is [protected].             Hitachi — POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE

            Hitachi 3-door refrigerator purchased on 01 May 11. Top door tends to remain open. No installation/demo visit by Company service engineer till date despite repeated reminders. Email and phone calls to company remain unanswered. A man named Manoj who claims to be the service engineer for Hitachi fixed up appointment but never turned up for visit and said that he is too busy and would come at his convenience. That is the standard of customer care by Hitachi - poor and unreliable.

            DO NOT BUY ANY HITACHI PRODUCT. They are overpriced, quality is poor and the service is atrocious. Buy Godrej, LG or Samsung as their products are cheaper and have excellent reputation for service.
            i fully agree I had registered my service request on 29.03.12 for service of my 2 window AC on helpline No.[protected] as ACs are covered under AMC. the request has not been attended yet despite 13 days passed since then, I have tries several times caling customer care no. but the same also did not yield any result. i feels cheated by HITACHI on the pretext of AMC they have grabed around 3000/- from me i wonder how they have been cheating so many people.

              It has been more than one week since I have made request (No. [protected]) for change of compressor (in warranty) of my Hitachi air conditioner. The technician came the next day after making the complaint and told me that the machine shall have to be sent to the service station and it will be serviced properly and be fixed at my place the next day. He also told me that last time when i got my ac serviced, the service personnel broke my ventilation system.

              However, i had to make some 150 calls to the service station personnel but I got no response. Then i got the number of Area head, Mr. Prakash ([protected]) to whom I have to make 4-5 calls to area head but there was response from his side as well. Commitments were made every time but to no avail. I even sent a mail to the customer care of Hitachi but no response.

              My ac was finally lifted after 5 days of harassment and I was informed that my ac will be returned the next day. However, it has been two days and again there has been no response and that too after they gave me confirmation that it will be sent next day. Yesterday (Saturday, 26/05/2012) I called them and asked them 4 times if they will deliver it today i.e. sunday and the guy confirmed. Now i called them up and they told me that how can they deliver it on a sunday.

              I have never regretted buying anything this much. Worst experience ever and mental harassment as well.

              Poor service and worst staff.

              Nobody should ever go for Hitachi products ever.

                I purchased one HITACHI Window AC ON 16.05.2012 from Great Eastern at Salt Lake, Kolkata. Till 24.05.2012, installation has not been done despite repeated request to Dealer and the customer care unit of Hitachi. There is no action, no response, nothing. I am an ordinary customer and having a sense of being cheated by the Company and the dealer. Address of the dealer is AB-17, Salt Lake, Kolkata-64.

                We bought 2.0 ton Split Hitachi AC (ACE CO –RAU324HSD ), Invoice # 1367, from Nutan Electronics, Address: H-122 A ,Dilshad Garden, Delhi-95 on 21st May 12. The AC was installed on 22nd May and from the beginning it has started giving us problem. The water is continuously dripping from the Unit and filling the entire living room.

                I registered a complaint today morning to the Hitachi call center on 21st May. The technicians (Bunty Mobile # +91 [protected]) who visited my house were very ill mannered and very rude. They did not attend the service and instead noted down the serial number of the machine and passed lewd comments against my wife when she enquired as to why the AC can n’t be repaired.

                The water from the unit is still dripping and the entire living room is filling with water. The wall on which this AC is mounted also has seepage and it has become very dirty and ruining the wall paint.

                I want to escalate this issue with the highest authority in Hitachi India and in Japan since the AC is not even 24 hours old and has developed such a huge technical snag causing unrest and disturbing peace of my mind. At the same time, I want to lodge strong protest against engineers dealing with the customers. It raises serious question mark on the background verification checks and quality of engineers/service dealers hired by Hitachi India.

                Yesterday again one technician came to my house and after monitoring the AC left without repairing the unit. he stated that he is not carrying equipments and left without servicing the unit.

                Yesterday again I received two calls from technician (from Mobile # +91 [protected]) at 8pm & 8:30 pm for Demo of the Product but no one turned up. At 10.30 pm late night I got another call (from mobile # + 91 [protected]) asking for Demo i declined the request since it was too late. i told the technician to come next day. Till now i have not received any call for Demo.

                I am very annoyed and unhappy after buying this product.

                  My Complain:

                  I have purchased a 1.5T Window AC from "Great Western Trading Co" on 13th May 2012 and wait for 1week to install my AC.
                  On 18th May 2012(Friday) at 8:00am I called directly to HITACHI customer care to install my AC (Install request Number: [protected])and they told me that your AC will be installed by 48hrs.
                  1st call:- I have waited upto Saturday evening and called again to HITACHI customer care and they responded that by Sunday 10.30am your AC must be installed.
                  2nd call:- I again called on Sunday 10.00am to HITACHI Customer care, and a lady told me that Sunday is not possible to install we can do it by Monday 9.30am.
                  3rd call:- On Monday, I called to customer care again and they told me to contact Jasur Road, Kolkata. and I called several time to them but no one picked up my call.
                  4th call:- Again I called to customer care on Monday and they gave me technician's GOPAL GULI's phone number and I called him and he responded like he is busy with some other stuff and disconnected my call when I asked that my case is also high priority.
                  5th call:- Again I called to customer care on Tuesday morning to let them know that my AC not yet installed but they told me that we will do it soon by putting my case in high priority list.
                  6th call:- Again I called on Tuesday evening about my status and they told me that you case will be handle soon.
                  7th call:- Again I called them at Tuesday 9:00pm and the same response I received from them.

                  I am very disappointed by taking HITACHI AC. I purchased it from Great Eastern Trad. Co, Baguati(Kolkata) and I have logged a ticket on 18th May 2012 at 8.00am to install my AC and customer care told me that your request will be attended by 48hrs. but till 21st May 2012 no body from HITACHI didn't take any action for my request. During this period I called at least 10times to Customer care but they gave me Jasur Road service office number and no body picking my phone when I called them. So at last I got the technician name from Customer care like Gopal Guli and also I called to that guy and he told me that he is busy with some other stuff. So I lost my temper and asked him that "Is my AC installation is low priority?" but he replied me that he could not make any time for me.By this situation what can I do????

                  Also I called to customer care at 9:00 am again on 21st May 2012 and inform that I am going to install my AC from Private party. So they told me that " The 1year warranty not going to apply, if you install it by Private party.

                  If your Service is poor then why I will suffer? and if I install it by my own then you know that I am not satisfy with your service and why you can say that you are not going to provide the 1year warranty.

                  Respond me immediately otherwise I will take serious action against you.

                  On 23rd May 2012 evening, I have sent another one mail:
                  "Hi Mohib,

                  As per my previous mail, I have requested for installation on 18th May 2012 but still no action has been taken from your end. Today is 23rd May 2012 and your commitment for installation ends today. Now I am going to request Private party to installation my AC.
                  I confirmed that your commitment having no value. So I can't wait for you to install my AC till end of Summer Season.

                  Please consider the 1yr warranty for AC. So that I can install my AC tomorrow from my own expenses.

                  Request you to don't hang me any more with any other commitment. Reply back me soon.

                  But I didn't receive any response from them after that. What I need to do now????
                  Now I am planning to request Private party to install my window AC. If HITACHI Service center not provide service on time then how much time I will be wait more. and if HITACHI providing POOR service then they should not have any right to say like "They are not going to provide 1yr warranty, if I will install by Private Party". I should entitled to get 1yr warranty in this case.
                  Please suggest me in this regard.

                    MORE THAN 15 DAYS HAVE PASSED AFTER REGISTERING THE COMPLAIN AND GIVING REMINDERS TOO, BUT TILL DATE NOBODY TURNED UP FOR ATTENDING THE COMPLAIN.
                    THEIR SERVICES ARE SO SLOW, I SHALL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY BODY TO BUY HITACHI REFRIGERATOR.
                    THEY ARE LEAST INTERESED ABOUT THE PROBLEM THE CONSUMER IS FACING.
                    NEVER EVER GO FOR HITACHI

                      POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE OF HITACHI AIR CONDITIONERS
                      we purchased 9 hitachi 1.5ton air conditioners .
                      the ac's are still in warranty period and we have started facing problems in almost every ac this summer
                      sometimes it is gas leakage problem aur sometimes it is some other problem.
                      every ac comes up with a new and different problem

                      on complaining about the malfunctioning of the ac the customer care executives give 48hrs as the deadline for the complaint to get attended but no executive actually turns up to your place for the solution.
                      even the phone numbers provided on internet work time to time.

                      in this scorching heat the kind of after sales service given by hitachi is a real flop show for the company.
                      never buy hitachi ac
                      poor service during the most needed time of the season.

                        I am piyush from New Delhi region I purchased a new air conditioner 1.5 tonnes of hitachi 2months back from vijay sales (vikash marg) outlet of Rs 25690 having model no RAW318KSD and cash memo number is 75-DVM03-12SIAOUF 27 AND DATE OF PURCHASE is 25th march 2012.
                        This is such a biggest negligence by Hitachi (AC) management team s we can say that poor response by Hitachi.
                        After purchasing Hitachi (AC) on 25th march 2012 no one came for demo from Hitachi till my intimation. My AC has installed in my room with in week after date of purchase which is conduct by Hitachi and that time he called twice and thrice time for installation but no one came for demo from Hitachi.
                        Thing is that whatever product I received from dealer it was faulty from the beginning but installation engineer could not intimate me as that time weather was cool or we can say that it’s not favorable for AC that time but now a days weather is so hot at delhi and when I check all functions / Mode which is in Hitachi AC some of mode not working properly. ( I thought that I could not operate properly or there is some thing missing in my operation) and dialed customer care officer on 19 of may 2012.
                        Today (21st may 2012) one Engineer came and check AC and told me that there is a issue in Circuit as well as motor. ( as Ac was faulty from the beginning).
                        Then I talk with customer executive first he told him it’s a company responsibility to call every customer for demo why because ? just for confirmation weather our product is working properly or not for good service. but
                        When I discussed with my problem then suddenly he was completely deny from the current statement and told it’s only customer responsibility to intimate for demo.
                        Now I have question from all management team whose working at Hitachi (AC ) Division.
                        Whose responsibility for demo intimation ? (Customer or Company)
                        IF customer then I am not agreed with u as because u r itself a unique company to provide such facility. And on the other hand as per my experience every company contact to every customer for best service.
                        But u don’t it’s a big ???????
                        On the other hand if you had given a demo at right time at the beginning then definitely problem arrest in the starting phase ( as manufacturing defect) in that case I fight with dealer for complete replacement of my AC but know a days it’s not possible for me because it’s 2 months passed away.
                        So tell why this thing is happened? As we are suffered lots just because of wrong management policy made by Hitachi.
                        How could customer know it’s customer responsibility to intimate u?
                        Why customer faith with ur statement if this thing is happend.? as we seems that Hitachi is a brand for best AC

                          Dear Sir/Madam

                          This is for your kind intimation that on 19th of May, 2012, I have purchased a Hitachi 1.5 Ton Split A.C (Model No.: RAC518HEDD) from Ma Tara Electronics, 182/7, M.B. Road, Birati, Kolkata-700051 through Chalan No.4215. Accordingly on that very day I have booked a complain for installation ( Comp.No.[protected]).

                          Now my some direct questions to the Management concerned are that :

                          I. Being a customer why should I be compelled to wait for LONG 48 hours FOR INSTALLATION ,when I have purchased the A.C IN EXTREMELY HOT AND PAINFUL WEATHER CONDITION?

                          II. Is not this system directing towards the weakness and wrong manpower allocation system and will create CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION MAINLY IN CASE OF PEAK SEASON OR DURING THE EXTREMELY HOT CLIMATIC SEASON LIKE SUMMER?

                          III. I HAVE PURCHASE MY MACHINE ON 19TH OF MAY,2012 BUT NOBODY TILL TODAY I.E. 22ND OF MAY, 2012, PLEASE CALCULATE THE HOURS ( NOW IT IS MORE THAN 62 HOURS ) CONTACTED ME OR RANG ME EXCEPT MYSELF ( CALLED CUSTOMER CARE MORE THAN 12 TIMES AND JESSORE ROAD SERVICE CENTER SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE INCLUDING THE IN-CHARGE MR. ASRAF ON [protected]). AS IF AFTER PURCHASING HITACHI MACHINE IT'S MY RESPONSIBILITY TO HUE AND CRY FOR INSTALLATION. TELL WHAT KIND OF AFTER SALES SERVICE IS THIS FROM A HOUSE LIKE HITACHI?

                            The WORST Customer Care Service EVER for a product in India. I lodged the complaint and its age now is more than a month and still it is not attended. I wonder how they manage the people to attend a customer's complaint.
                            This will create a bad reputation to the company future growth.
                            Its been 20 days and no one in Delhi seems to be working, All of them pays no attention to your new customers.
                            I bought this DC twin blower twin motor 1.5 ton WINDOW AC and with in a month it start giving us a nightmare .
                            First an electric shock to a small boy of 5 year playing behind the AC.
                            We complained through complaint no.[protected] Dtd.05 june 2012 .
                            A so called engineer with no knowledge about the new model came and found nothing wrong.
                            Then i made another complaint about noise in the machine on 18 june 2012.no.[protected]. Nothing done.
                            We left for vacations for 15 days.
                            Again we complaint the same on 03 july2012 vide no.[protected].
                            Next day the same engineer opened the penal and found short circuit in PCB .
                            There was water in the covered wires, He cut few wires and opened all the covered wires to dry.
                            Then taped few of them and said that we will change the whole display penal and the PCB.
                            It was rusted as if it is 2 year old machine.
                            When we started our machine in the evening, there was no display and showing E9.
                            Then i called the head of patper ganj office in delhi. i was assured by him that it will be done by next day.
                            nothing happened since then i call and call everyday but no one is prompt enough to call me back.
                            I ask the head of your department that is it necessary for a customer to go to the court to make you hear a complaint.
                            I request you to kindly change this machine as early as possible.

                              Hi,

                              I had lodged a complaint of “service” of my Air conditioner on 3st May,2012.The service request number is [protected]. At that time it was committed that the complaint will be attended by our engineer within 48 hours. For the past fifteen days I am continuously calling at call centre numbers but no respite. No one has the visibility about the status of complaint , every time executive ensures that the same will get attended within two hour or so but after till day status is same. It is first time I had purchased any Item of Hitachi and I was very satisfied till date with the product. But now I am very disappointed with the after sales services.

                              Please help in getting the problem resolve.

                                my window AC has a problem of ice formation since 27 april 2012. thrice i have got the AC checked up at jhansi but the authorized dealer RAM RAJA ENTERPRISES have not been able diagnose the problem! I have also contacted the HITACHI complaint cell (complaint No. [protected]),but they have also not been able to help! I have PAID Rs 2650 for repair of the AC but the problem persists. pls help!

                                I have purchased a 1.2ton Hitachi split AC from Great Eastern Trading Company, Sreerampore branch on 03/03/2013. The AC has been installed on 21/03. The AC is not providing any cooling. The service centre at Sreerampore is saying that they will not provide any service since that machine has been installed by someone else. But those men were sent by the dealer since I did not call anybody for installation. They took Rs. 2500 for installation and Rs. 900 for 24 ft drainage pipe and did not deliver any money receipt. In the scorching heat of end March the expensive air conditioner has become a show piece.
                                Nothing has been done till date i.e. 10/04/2013. Today I called the Srirampore service centre again. They are asking to report to the dealer, The Great Eastern Trading Company, Srirampore Branch or the head office of the service centre. Since they have not done the installation they are not interested in providing the service. The numbers from which calls were made for the installation are saying that they are masons, tailors etc. I don't know how they could get my phone number. But the customer care executive told me from their record that Ramprasad Gupta had done the installation.

                                  I am living in baguiati,kolkata.i bought a split AC from great eastern, baguiati on 15/5/2012.Installation time was on 16/5/2012.But till today installation has not been done by Hitachi Company.i am taking leave from my office since last three days by thinking that installation service may be done as per taking knowledge from Great Eastern,the shop.But then i called on Hitachi Help Centre and i gotta know that there is no registration has been done from mycell no i.e.[protected],they have no knowledge about installing AC in our home.then i went to great eastern shop last day for complain purpose,and they told me that they has interchanged a wrong call no with Hitachi but assured me last day that they will come today.But today morning when i again called to the help centre of Hitachi,they told me they still have no knowledge regarding installation of AC.My mother is a patient and she needs to stay in the cool environment of AC,so we bought that immediately,but their is no results,it is just kept as unused material in our home.So please help us for the sake of my ill mother

                                      My Hitachi 1.5 Ton Window AC went to Hitachi Service Centre for
                                      change of compressor. It returned from service center on 7th May
                                      and was installed. On 12th of May, I noticed that some of its functions
                                      are not working properly. Since they used to work correctly before
                                      going to the service station, I reported it immediately to the Hitachi.

                                      But they are saying that the some component PCB has to be
                                      replaced and I will have to bear the cost. Why should I bear the
                                      cost of something that Hitachi guys have broken ?? They should
                                      replace it free of cost. Prior to going to Hitachi Service Centre it
                                      was working fine.
