My AC indoor unit has been leaking ever since the season started.
It took 10 days and many phone calls to have someone attend to my problem, =
and I was assured that after servicing there would be no leakage.
Unfortunately, it became worse and after another round of many many complai=
nts (kindly see the complaint nos at the end of the mail), 8 days of missin=
g office waiting for someone to turn up to fix the problem, finally the tec=
hnicians who came at three different occassions, told me that THIS WAS A MA=
NUFACTURING DEFECT=A0 and could not be rectified.
After much persuation, the unit was removed.
I have been regretting buying a hitachi ac, as even in this hot weather, an=
d after buying 4 AC at the same time, two of the AC's are non functional=A0=
- one due to the leakage, the other because its stabilizer was defective a=
nd has not been returned to me since 13 days!!!
This is the kind of service someone who spends 1.5 lakhs gets from Hitachi!=
!!!
I have been harrassed and lost faith in Hitachi.
Now they are insisting that I take back the same unit, claiming that the pr=
oblem has been fixed.
I seriously doubt their credibility and once the warranty is over (in June =
2009) and there is some problem, I will be made to run around once again!
I do not have the patience and energy to undertake this!

I would be grateful if the unit is replaced with a new one so that atleast =
my faith in HITACHI is restored.=20
OR as claimed by the dealer, HITACHI AND NOT THE DEALER take full responsib=
ility for it, because I bought the unit based on the HITACHI name and perfo=
rmance and not due to the dealer!

    HITACHI IS THE WORST IN PROVIDING SERVICES AND THE CONTROL PANEL OF ITS WINDOW AC IS THE WORST IN PERFORMANCE AS IT START CREATING PROBLEM JUST AFTER EXPIRY OF WARRANTY PERIOD.AND SURPRISING THING IS THAT IT IS NON REPAIRABLE AND NEED TO BE REPLACED BY PAYING RS 3000/- MORE THAN 10% OF THE COST OF AC OR 20-25% OF THE COST OF MARKET PRICE OF AC OF OTHER SEGMENT...
    FINALLY I HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER AC. CAN YOU GUESS THE COMPANY?

      AC is not working properly since it is installed and I did not get demonsteration properly on february or march.No Body from the company is attending the complaint, since my hitachi complaint no is[protected].Bought the Hitachi AC for Brand image and the quality in the market, but I was wrong.On my AC 5star mark is their, how can company post this mark, when its quality is so bad, that means company is cheating people and misguiding also.I want my money back from this company, please help me.

      Dear Madam/Sir, Greetings for the day, as i am not satisfiy with your product Hitachi Window AC, which i buyed last year and gone to service centre, since than it is not working properly, as your one of the most reputed company world wide but I am sorry to say that your quality of products getting worse day by day. This particular product i bought last year in April 2008. so if this quality of your product continue detoriod nobody can buy and it gives bad name to your Company. this is my request to you people to look into the matter and ractify my problem.

      I had purchased a Window Air-conditioner of HITACHI on 10.03.2008, from Hitachi Home & Life Solutions (India) Ltd., A-15, Mohan Co-operative Industrial Area, New Delhi-110044.
      Although its been 1 year and 3 months and the AC has stopped working on 13.06.2009. I complained to the customer care and the service people said that the compressor / refrigerant gas is leaking and got finished. However, to my knowledge there is no need to refilling the gas for at least 8 years. I have inquired this from other dealers too. I am afraid that the dealer has given me a defected item.
      I had called to the customer care many times, but the service department never responds to the complaint. No Body from the company is attending the complaint, since my hitachi complaint no is[protected]. The company is cheating people and misguiding also. I want my money back from this company, please help me.
      I WAS ALSO CHEATED.

      POOR quality product but only fake brand image.
      No expectation from customer support.

      I also wanna money back because if i contd or compromise with thm they sucks in future after warranty period.Non- availability of spares in local market.High failure rate after warranty.Higher cost of parts.
      Overall, performance is very poor.Its below thn Air cooler with an Addition features n LCD remote.

      Below complaint I have sent on 03rd July2008 regarding my window Airconditioner for which I got a reply on 16.09.2008 from Hitachi Customer Casre, almost after Six Months.

      On 12th May 2009 I again call at Hitachi Customer Complaint Centre for some problem in my AC Vide Complaint Number[protected], the service engineer has visited and found a leakage of gas. I have told him take the AC at their service centre and thoroughly checked the same, as this is the second time in one year where I have faced this Gas Leakage problem, but he overheard my request & fill the gas only at my residence . Now after two months again the Gas Leakage problem exists . I am very much disappointed with the performace of my AC. I want to change my AC immidiately, as this the THIRD TIME in a span of ONE YEAR where I have faced "GAS LEAKAGE PROBLEM"

      Hope to have a early action & reply from your side in my case not like previous one where it takes SIX MONTHS from your side to be actioned

Previously there is some problem in the panel, now there is no cooling( Complaint No#[protected]. If such type of performance has been give by a well known company's product, then sorry to say that I never recommend any body to buy the product of your company.

      So, I only request you to kinly look in the matter & resolve the same as soon as possible."
      I bought RAV019EOD Hitachi Qudracool AC 6 months ago. Right from very first day i can not feel like 1.5 ton AC is intalled in 10 X 10 ft room. Even after 2-3 hrs running when i enter in my room it feels like just normal temp. No cooling. I tried to contact the Customer care twice and both time they sent the Technician to my home but instead of checking AC properly they just said the air is escaping from the room thats why cooling is low. There is just little bit of gaps under the doors as we normally have. And they also said there is not enough space behind the AC thats why its not cooling properly where as there is wall on three side at the Gap of 4-5 ft and the fourth side is totally open for Hot Air escape. I am not satisfied with the service.

      I request Hitachi, either they should provide me with there proper Intallation specifications describing the surround area requirements or send some well qualified technician who can find the actuall fault with the Unit.

      I also bought 1.5 tonne window AC of Hitachi 2.5 years ago because of its brand name. Every year I am paying around 500/- for servicing it. This year I found that its gas has leaked and there is no colling. Service station people of Hitachi Garhwal Service station took 2500/- from me and fileld the gas. Moment it came back to my home, its auto cut off feature is not working. After checking they found that now its thermostat is faulty and asking me to pay 1800 more to repair.

      My issue is I bought 10000/- extra costly AC just because of Hitachi brand as it was supposed to be more durable and robust. But I am paying every year such hefty amount. There is no point buying Hitachi AC. Instead we should buy some other AC.

      I would like to know if something can be done against Hitachi as I am at a loss here.

      Hitachi — AC not working properly

      I have purchased Hitachi 3 star split AC 2 week ago. After 4-5 days its suddently tripping.
      I have registered the complaint with Hitachi customer care center. They assured me that machnic will come my home within 48-72 hours. I registered the complaint on 17 May, but on one come to my house for checking. In between, I have called 5-6 time their customer care service center. They always told me the mechanic will come within 2 days.

      Pls do the needful.

      I Purchase split A.C. 1.5 ton from khoshla Electronics, 1, Old Court House Corner, Kolkata - 700001 and install by your authorised person on 21/05/2011. 23/05/2011 A.C not working properly means only Fan is running but no cooling. I Complain in evening of 24/05/2011. My complain No. is [protected] and told me your official person this call attend within 48 hours. I regret to say that today dated 27/05/2011 time 12.25 P.M. around 64 hours no person attend the call. From 26/05/2011 at 5.00 P.M. onward I call at a No. [protected] that is your service center no. the person said "sir call allocated person reached shortly"
      What I am doing, Kindly arrange to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

      Hitachi AC — not working properly

      I purchased Hitachi ac 1.5 ton kaze model on 13/5/2012.
      It is not working properly. It is not doing cooling. I am not satisfied.

        I am one of your customer, i bought a hitachi A/C(Model no.RAVo19EOD) on date 6th may 2008.
        At the time of purchasing the A/C, we went to several shops and saw several types of A/C's from different companies and there different models.

        we were convenienced with this model(mentioned earlier)of hitachi because we were told that this is the latest model with latest technology used and backup of two compressors for efficient cooling

        we were also informed that after sale service is also excellent.

        I am pained to informed you that all the things which were told to us at the time of purchasing till now have gone against your promise.

        Last year i felt that the cooling is not that much effective the way it was told to us...but unfortunately we never used our A/C that much beause we went out of staion for almost 2 months...

        now this time on 24th of may'2009 i called up at hitachi customer care and asked them to send somebody for A/C service, same was taken down properly and i was provided with a no.

        nobody turned up for 4 days, then i had to call up again at customer care, then finally somebody came...

        they did their job of routine service pretty well ...it was fine

        but after two days i realized the same problem of IN EEFECTICE COOLING ...

        HITACHI AS A KNOWN BRAND WORLDWIDE... THE EXPERINECE IS PRETTY PATHETIC, VISITORS WHO VISITED OUR PLACE THEY WERE ALSO SHOCKED AND AMAZED...AND COMMENTED THAT EVEN THEIR A/C GIVES MORE COOLING THAN THIS HITAHCI ONE...

        I AM HELPLESS, THE COMPLAINT FOR THE SAME HAS ALREADY BEEN REGISTERED BY THE CUSTOMER CARE, COMPLAINT[protected].

        I REQUEST YOU KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER ASAP AND RECTIFY THE THINGS OR OTHERWISE IF THERE IS ANY CHANGE WHICH IS REQUIRED BEACAUSE THERE CAN BE A POSSIBLITY THAT THE SYSTEM IS FAULTY FROM INSIDE OUR THERE IS A MANUFACTURING FAULT...

        BECASUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AND HARD TO UNDERSTAND...

        THE EXPECTATION OF COOLING FROM HITACHI
        A/C...SHOULD BE FREEZING ONE...
        SPECIALLY ITS OPERATED ON POWERFUL MODE AND @ 16 TEMP...

        I totally agree with what is said. i had purchased window AC QUARDRACOOL TM model on 14th APR 2009. after several phone calls it finally got installed on 24th apr. demo is still pending till date. it seems that hitachi has no value for promises and customer time. engineers never turn up at the pre decided date and time. Mansoon is the vendor who comes under my area.
        The best part of it is even the installation done by people from hitachi who are said to be experts is not at all as per the specifications, resulting in a loss of Rs. 40, 000/- to me as the wodden frame has been damaged due to non usage of proper installation equipments.

        Since i am not at all satisfied with the services, i request HITACHI to either compensate me the loss or take the product back immediately. I don't want to bear further mental torchure.
        Dear Sir,

        We purchased Hitachi split ac from Shophy's syndicate, here in Trichy on 9th Jan 2009 hoping that it would be the best among the acs in the market. The advertizement also such telling it is the best. However to our shock and surprise it has failed functioning start from May 09. We have been making franctic efforts to call the service centre to get the service. Very poor response for the service centre of Shophy's Syndicate. This summer has gone. we had hell of problems at home due to do the failure. For heavens sake, please do cheat the custumer. It is not the sale matters much but the follow up and the service. I register this with sadness. Company such makes people suffer.

        I bought Hitachi split A/C in the month of May 2009. After two days of effective cooling, the A/C fails to give any cooling. It only adds to humidity (because we would wait with room closed in expectation that the A/C would cool the room) and after sometime it starts feeling like we have bought a room heater for Rs. 43, 000/- in this summer. On complaint, the technicians have come twice but with no result. They have only pointed out one or other faults in swith/voltage at our part. We have rectified that still no relief. We intimated the service provider that the switch/voltage problem at our part. Since then no one has come...it has already been 4 days. Still awaited.

        Can someone give us the mail id of Hitachi so that we can create a written record. This will help us move to consumer courts. Thanks.

        YES, I totally agreed with the Customers, as i am one of the customer and its my advice to every one that please don't buy Hitachi A/C as there word and promises are false, as i am one of the suffering customer who bought 200 tons of hitachi AC for my hotel in jamshedpur, at Hotel BS PARK PLAZA, two years back and also done with AMC which cost me more then 1.5 Lacks, but so far on the name of maintainance i got only words but no services and at the every end of day i am loosing 1 lacks sale in restaurant.
        I have another upcomming hotel for which i wish to buy another 200 tones of AC but NOT AT ALL HITACHI because the name itself says everything.

        Forget about 48 hours in past two years they are fail to repaire there two units.

        HOPE LESS SERVICE I EVER SAW.

          Silent AC makes noise complaint not resolved

          I have been complaining about the new 2 ton Quadricool hitachi AC purchased after reading the features as Silent AC. On checking the service engineer says it is the sound of air flow which is more than even a roomcooler.The temperature on a 30 mins test shows 28 to 29 degrees. The company replaced with a new machine which turned out to be noisier, accepted and tested by the installing personnels. It was implicated that I as a customer influenced...

          Dear sir
          I was Purchased Hitachi AC 5 star Model RAU 018 HPD on 16.3.2009 from M/s. RK Electronics, Jubilee Hills Branch, from the begining i am facing problems with Dealer and with product also. I was purchsed the new Electronic circuit was damaged and after 4 days that partical replaced by the HITACHI people and after 1 week again Red light showing and some electronic (Mobile sounds) coming from the Product and not that much cool, and heavy sound from the Outer box. I was purchased the product Rs. 38000/- I am facing so much problems with this without peace in this summer.
          The dealer not giving proper response.
          I want to complaint to the people who will alert and go for other products.

          Yes it is true that Hitachi AC quality is very low and no standard maintain. After sales service is very poor and degrade.

            Dear Sir/Madam
            This is in regards to my new Hitachi window AC installation. I have purchased the AC on 22nd April, 2009 from a shop in Kolkata called KHOSLA ELECTRONICS, which is a very big and busy electronics shop in Kolkata. We paid the whole amount that is Rs.21, 000/- in cash on that same date and got the confirmation from them that the next day only they will deliver it to our place and somebody from Hitachi will call me up for installation.
            But after paying the whole amount in one shot also we got the delivery of the AC next day at around 10.30pm which was supposed to be delivered at 2pm in the afternoon. And till 24th April we did not receive any phone call from Hitachi to install the window AC. If this is the kind of response towards a customer and this is their commitment then why are they running business here?
            I am very annoyed and I am hereby lodging complaints on both this KHOSLA ELECTRONICS, Garia, Kolkata and HITACHI service station, Kolkata.
            If any action is taken against them it would help many consumers like us.

            Even we purchase Hitachi AC form NEXT Showroom in Vikas Puri - New Delhi on 2nd May, 2009 and it was tolds to us that it will be installed within 48 hrs. But till today 7th May there is no progress.
            AC is lying there but Hitachi installation Employees are too busy in thr personal work that they don't bother for thr customers.
            Hitachi customer support and service is totally pathetic.
            On 2-May-2009 I have Purchased Hitachi Ac - Model--rav019e0d- Quadricool TM (1.5 TON) from Faridabad, I requested for Ac demo (Dialing HItachi Call center), I was given request No==[protected]th May) for Ac demo and told me soon a Hitachi Sales Person will visit me for Demo within 48 Hr. Till now no body came or Contacted me, I again called them on 5th of may to confirm the demo, Again I Got reply soon Sales Exec. will contat me for demo, tody is 11/may/2009 there is no hear back from HITACH AC group for demo
            I amazed the company which talks No.1 in AC appliances, giving this kind of service

            Now I feel sad why I have wasted that much hugh Amount on Ac. I must hve purchaed Carrier or Voltas as they hve strong Dealer coverage & preety good sales service
            Dear sir,
            I took the hitachi window ac nearby 2 years back. Every year I have to get its gas refill, a big tension & wastage of Rs 1500/-.
            This year its fan was not working properly & Mr Narinder attended the complaint & repaired its circuit plate & took charges of Rs 550/- on 20.5.09.
            After nearby 10 days it stopped giving cooling due to some problem in circuit plate/relay etc.
            Since 10 days I am calling Mr Narinder(Panipat Service Centre) everyday & he says that he will come but does not come. I am frustated from ur AC & your after sales service & poor performance of AC.
            Therefore it is requested to please get my Ac repair or tell me that I should replace it & put of some other company.

            I agree with this as well as all the complaints made for Hitachi. They should be asked to wind up business from India.

            My issue
            A 1.5 tonne was supplied to me by one Vishwa Enterprises on 12.05.2009, tried to get it installed on 15.05.2009 however the same was installed on 23.05.2009 by a totally untrained person. AC was not working since it had no Gas, also confirmed by the person who came to install the same. Supplier took the issue lightly. A complaint was made to Hitachi on 23.05.2009 and their service person arrived on 24.05.2009 certifying there is no GAS and Hitachi should replace. Supplier was unconcerned ready to fill the Gas but no replacement (wanted me to read an open book or have a second wife) as well as Hitachi, after much follow-up, a replacement was sent on 20.06.2009, to the surprise that it was a repaired AC, worse then what I got it, could not be installed/replaced. Would Hitachi be able to compensate me for the Summer I am facing since 12.05.2009 without AC. HAHAHA.

            Since all efforts are lost and 40 days patience is enough, I would be sending a "BEWARE OF HITACHI MESSAGE" to minimum 25000 e-mail IDs of my Company officers across India and also see that Hitachi is banned for future supplies in my company as well as the supplier Vishwa Enterprises (A Career dealer also) for supplying sub-standard material and adopting such unethical practices. My second step is going to Consumer Form and seeks damages for the loss of 40 days.

            Please immediately call for a nation wide stir against Hitachi a.c.-s in India. I bought 3 machines, 2 of them 1.5 Te and 1 2 Te. Service when available, takes an average of 50 phone calls to materialise. That too, one day a guy comes and "sees" the machine and goes away; another 35 calls and a minimum of 7 days later they reluctantly agree to send somebody but on one condition: "Your machine has been installed at a height! So we need 3 men to bring it down. We can at most send 2 men or even 1! You have to arrangte the rest of the manpower (that too during the guarantee period)!!" All 3 machines' control panels have developed some defect or the other. We should be thankful that the machines run!! After warranty of 1 year I was forced to use my own contacts in the industry to get other a.c service persons to service the a.c. since availing of Hitachi service meant waiting for 1 - 2 months! I am keen on availing of an exchange offer to switch over to LG!

            PLEASE PLEASE GET AL QAIDA TO BLOW UP THEIR SERVICE CENTRES IN KOLKATA. AT LEAST THAT WAY WE WILL GET SOME SERVICE.

            hitachi consumer service is really pathetic, just fooling the customer with the dealers. i paid for my o.9 tonn hitachi split ac on 18th April and it was installed on 21st and till now i haven't yet received any demo for the product in spite of calling several times on their call center, most of the time the time they just play the machine saying all representatives are busy, when you are lucky enough to get connected your call will get disconnected before you even get a request no. hitachi's ac are so costly when compared to other brands with comparable ac but it's service is far far below normal. i really feel being cheated..

            Hi ALL,

            Today was my 7th or 8th day of follow up for getting my Hitachi AC serviced with more than 25 calls made to your customer care number. I never came across such an irresponsive Servce of a company who claims to be one of the leading AC manufacturers in India. Just a while ago I spoke to a guy "Mubarak" and he also says he has no idea when the AC will be serviced. Almost everyone I have spoken to has the same answer with reassurances that somene from service center will call me. Let me tell you, I have Carrier AC and also O'General and within 24 hours service was done but HITACHI - disappointing. Not only serive has not een done in 10 days but also no one has the courtesy to provide right information. People are just clueless at customer service. They have no idea of when the serice will happen and what to inform the customers. I am going to approach Consumer court now and also put this issue across all major sites so that consumers come to know how HOPELESS you guys are with service and people shall remain from buying the AC.

            I dont know to which level will this email reach but its really disgusting. You guys will learn a good lesson. This email will spread like a virus.

              I am Jitander Singh and have purchased a Hitachi airconditioner on 19th April 2009 through Sham Lal Krishan Lal, 1/206/28, Sadar Bazar, Delhi Cantt an authorised vendor for Canteen Store Depot (army canteen).

              I would like to bring to your kind notice that the air conditioner despatched by Sham Lal Krishan Lal is a old one which is evident from the photographs (photo enclosed). The packing tapes are open from both the ends and the cartoon seems to be as old as 6 months. I have the clicked photos at night so please due consideration while viewing the same. On seeking clarification from the vendor he says he checks the air conditioners at their shop before despataching the same to customer. I take this activity as unwarranted as Hitachi would be confident of their standards and would not want a vendor to do these kind of checking at shop level.

              Also the airconditioner was left at the staircase even after taking taking cartage charges

              The AC was purchased on 19 April 2008 but the same have not been fitted till date. I have raised the issue with customer care department of Hitachi who informed me that Ms. Sonal from their customer care division would be contacting me but she has not contacted me and her number is constantly coming busy.

              I am fed up of the daily follow up with the shop owner as well as with Hitachi. Would be grateful to you if my complaint be addressed at your end.

                RIght from day 2, it started giving noise. ven after multiple visits from technicians, they were unable to figure out the problem. After a year it was found that the blade of the fan was broken.

                Do we pay such a high proce for such service??

                The funny part is that after few calls they would even stop listening to you.

                GOD save us from these unprofessionally managed companies.

                AFter this, I do not trust any company and prey GOD before purchasing any new product.

                  Dear Sir,

                  I had bought a Hitachi 2 Ton Spli Type Air Conditioner Model No RAC022HND, SR No SEO81DOO219 from Reliance Digital retail outlet located in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on 20 Mar 2009. I had paid for the installation in the hope of getting it done from the expert and original Hitachi team. Unfortunately, the local franchisees who installed the machine on 22 Mar 2009 had no idea of what they were upto. Infact, they had never seen the model earlier.

                  To add to my woes, the wall mount supplied to me by the Reliance outlet was declared unsuitable by the 'installers' and I had to let them get another one for Rs 1500/- at the time of installing the machine. The one supplied by Reliance outlet for Rs 600/- is lying useless at my place.

                  I had specifically requested for a wall mount stabiliser and paid Rs 3300/- for a 'Signal Automatic Voltage Stabiliser'. During installation, I was informed by the 'installers' that a bracket for mounting the stabiliser was missing from the package and hence the installation could only be done direct - without the stabiliser unit.

                  I tried ringing up 'Reliance Digital', the retail outlet at phone No +[protected] and +[protected]Both printed on the bill, to no avail. The No kept ringing but no one answered.

                  The installers came at 1635 hrs on 22 Mar 2009 and were able to finish the installation at 2200 hrs. They did not have the basic tools and I had to furnish whatever they kept demanding. Once the installation was completed (according to them) they could not explain the fuctioning of the remote unit.

                  I would request that the installation of the AC be checked for correctness by a representative of the Hitachi. Reliance Digital may also be instructed to refund to me Rs 600/- the cost of the unsuitable wall mounting and send me the wall mount bracket for the stabiliser they have supplied to me.

                    I would like to bring to your notice a recent event in which a hitachi india technician tried to cheat me by quoting outrageous amounts for additional items which were required for the installation of my hitachi split a/c.

                    The following is a letter which i wrote to hitachi today. Has anyone else been faced with such cheats and if you have what actions did you take? Please let us all know so we know how to handle these crooks in the future. I'll keep you guys posted on the response from hitachi. Thanks, ashish


                    To whom it may concern,

                    I purchased a hitachi air conditioner model no. Rau018hpd from e-zone powai (Haiko mall, level 2, hiranandani gardens, powai, mumbai 400 076, tel: +[protected] on the 21st of march 2009. I was assured by the sales staff at e-zone that the installation is inclusive in the price of the ac with copper tubing, i[censored]sed in excess of 4 meters, the only chargeable part.

                    Upon receiving the unit i was told that the a/c will be installed by a hitachi authorised technician on the 26th of march (Today). The hitachi technician was scheduled to come at of before 12:00 pm (As per e-zone customer service staff, aksheta) but arrived at my location at 3:15pm. Upon arrival and inspection of the unit the hitachi technician (Mr. Suresh tel. No. [protected]) claimed that i would require "a flexible drainage pipe with a length of approximately 20 feet" and a "flooring bracket kit" for the outdoor unit.

                    I was surprised by the technician when he stated he needed additional items for installation, especially since e-zone staff had confirmed that everything is inclusive in the kit. Nevertheless, i went ahead and asked the mr. Suresh what the additional cost of such items would be. His response was that for the flexible drainage pipe the cost would be rs. 500 and the cost of the flooring bracket kit would be rs. 1250.

                    Now, i know for a fact that any retail shop selling the drainage pipes for a/c's do not charge more than rs.20/meter which for a total of 6.50 meters would be rs.130 and any well-reputed branded installation brackets do not cost more than rs. 400 - 500. I am surprised that hitachi technicians would be out to steal from there customers. When i refused the technician's offer and told him that i would purchase the same for him and give him the materials required, he came up with excuses that the material is not right and so on and so forth.

                    My complain in this e-mail is not that the technician asked for all these materials but the fact that he quoted such prices which were 2 - 3 times the normal retail price for the items.

                    I would like to bring to your notice that the technician, mr. Suresh and his supervisor mr. Irfan ahmed (Shop no. 2, shree laxmi udyog, l. B. Shastri marg, bhandup (W), mumbai 400 078 tel no.[protected] are not reputable people and are maligning the name of hitachi india.In the future i would request, such people are not sent to my home for any service or repairs as i would not like such cheats to enter my home.

                    I would like to know how hitachi can improve and or change the current situation, where their technicians are not regulated and simply act like common fraudsters. Also, in the future it would be wise on hitachi india's part to provide a starndardized price list to all technicians and/or representatives of hitachi to give to clients so they know that prices quoted to them are genuine.

                    Hitachi India, as a company is a cheat. They have cheated me also. The products do not function, and the service department blackmails you when you ask them to service. There is a very strong nexus between the dealer and compnay staff. Very soon the delaers and the staff will eat away the compnay in India. It will probably be too late for the Japanese to react.
                    I too purchased 1.5 windo AC thinking HITACHI is a company with excellent reputition. I am suffering since the date of purchase because of PCB problems. Post sales service and AMC servcing is the the the worst. I am fooled by Hitachi's reputition (what I thought) and a Japanese company does the best quality.

                    I do not know how a Japanese company can do this bad...
                    I have also purchased split ac from hitachi in delhi so called Installation kit is missing only 2 boxes i.e indoor and outdoor unit has been delivered when asked by the dealer they said it is inside the outdoor unit box if not found then complaint to the company this issue is still under process to the result and 15 days gone half of the installation has been done no service all this is expensive HITACHI ACE

                    Hitachi Airconditioner — Installation of AC

                    Dear Sir,

                    I baught an air conditioner from ashok trading company, shop no 46-47, near sagar cinema, sector 16, Faridabad, Haryana. Phone numbers: 4041957, 4041956.

                    I made the payment in full Rs. 28, 000/- on 22/4/2009 and I was told the installation would be done by 4 pm. When the installation people came, they saw the area where I wanted my AC to be installed and told they would come in the morning at 9 am and will have make the space in the wall to install the AC. Nobody has turned up till now. I have been continiouly trying the phone numbers for the shop. Most of the times phone is not picked, if picked nobody attends the call and ultimately one has to disconnect the call.

                    The shop did not show any responsibility once the product was sold. I really do not know what I should do I have been trying the shops number continiously since 9 am today.

                    i bought a 1.5ton qaudracool TM hitachi ac two years ago last year just after warranty expired my pcb damaged and the dealer changed it i had to shell 2000 Rs now again this year it is causing problems

                    I bought Hitachi AC last year (30-march-08) )from Mahadev Electronics, Gurgaon. Dealer didn't care about signing / forwarding the warranty card to the company. I got no service call from company till one year untill I approached company for servicing.

                    Upon contacting company, I came to konw that Mahadev Electronics in Gurgaon is not an authorized sales & service dealer. However, company provided me free service (15-march-09) as it was 15 days before the warranty would expire.

                    I got it serviced from Garhwal Aircon (authorized service provider of Hitachi). Just after a month of service, I started using AC in mid of April 09. On April 29 AC stopped offering any cool air. I suspected gas leakage as a problem. I am sure that the person who serviced it from company authorized service center made some mistake during servicing / installation then after which resulted into this leakage. I got back to the service center & raised the problem. They refused to have any responsibility for the same & now hold me chargable for all further services.

                    Now, this is the important lesson. Service center people start earning from you just after your warranty expires & they just don't enjoy giving quality services free. Currently, I have raised the issue with Hitachi Service Manager. I will wait & hope that company gets it done free for me & provide compensation for the harrasment, else I will move to consumer court for supplying me a defective product & not providing quality services.

Asoka International /Trading had installed stabilizer also with the ac and that is not showing voltage they had told us to replace this within 2 to 3 day but now after following them from the last 2 years they are saying that there is no problem in working …continue to use the same one . They are ridiculous and their services are nothing, they are only selling the product but there is no services offered after that.

                    We have purchased a A.C. of your company model no. RAV019EMDZ from Hindustan Refrigeration, South Patel Nagar, New Delhi -8 on 30th April 2009. We have given them complaint on very first day that it is not working properly. On 03th May 2009 again a complaint was lodged by them and we have told that it will be sorted out within 24 hours. Today being 04th May 2009 no body has come from there. On calling them they talk very rude and insult us. This type of incident can affect goodwill of company. Which type of person you have given agency, who are spoiling your business and in the long run it’s going to affect your sales.

                    I think i made a big mistake by buying most expensive AC. If somebody at Hitachi is seeing these comments, then pl. wake up.

                    I have been quoting people that Hitachi Acs are the best in terms of performance and service. I had bought one 1 ton ac 8 years back and had run into problems. The dealer was not bothered nor the service engineers.Now the situation is that i have to refill gas everytime when the season starts. Not withstanding the fact i had purchased 1.5 ton quadricool ac from e-zone in delhi situtated at v3s mall. The Ac was delivered on the 3rd as schedule but till date the service engineer is not known. Mr. Manjit of E-zone promised to get back with details but in vain. I have been trying to get in touch with someone but no one is ready to give an answer suitably. There is a roaring noise when the compressor functions which is a bit scary and spoils the sleep in the night.

                    If any customer care executive is going through the complaints may pls have a look at it and send the engineer at convenient time to us and not to his needs.

                    I intend to buy a window AC(1.5) and just before leaving to pay the amount I by the way checked this and I m seriously giving a second thought to my earlier decision of buying a Hitachi product, well if not Hitachi then what, please do suggest!
                    even i am facing similar problem i had tried lots of acs LG, Hitachi and now I am having haier. In All of them there is gas leakage after every one to two years. technicians or other comapny help desk say it is beacuse of some ganda nalla near by. there is no defition of near by, it could be even one kilo metre. So the cost maintaing a Ac get s multiplied by about Rs. 2000 every year.

                    They fail to offer any solution, some say that get a rubber paint on coils, but also add that there is no gurantee still.

                    I am perplexed being at the mercy of AC technicians every year.

                    I agree with this as well as all the complaints made for Hitachi. They should be asked to wind up business from India.

                    My issue
                    A 1.5 tonne was supplied to me by one Vishwa Enterprises on 12.05.2009, tried to get it installed on 15.05.2009 however the same was installed on 23.05.2009 by a totally untrained person. AC was not working since it had no Gas, also confirmed by the person who came to install the same. Supplier took the issue lightly. A complaint was made to Hitachi on 23.05.2009 and their service person arrived on 24.05.2009 certifying there is no GAS and Hitachi should replace. Supplier was unconcerned ready to fill the Gas but no replacement (wanted me to read an open book or have a second wife) as well as Hitachi, after much follow-up, a replacement was sent on 20.06.2009, to the surprise that it was a repaired AC, worse then what I got it, could not be installed/replaced. Would Hitachi be able to compensate me for the Summer I am facing since 12.05.2009 without AC. HAHAHA.

                    Since all efforts are lost and 40 days patience is enough, I would be sending a "BEWARE OF HITACHI MESSAGE" to minimum 25000 e-mail IDs of my Company officers across India and also see that Hitachi is banned for future supplies in my company as well as the supplier Vishwa Enterprises (A Career dealer also) adopting such unethical practices. My second step is going to Consumer Form and seeks damages for the loss of 40 days.

                    WORLD CLASS AC with THIRD CLASS AFTER SALES SERVICE

                    I have purchase a Hitachi AC 3 years back. While purchasing the AC the dealer assured me that Hitachi technician will come within 2 hours of purchase AC and he will install the AC. After almost 6 hours a simple carpenter came and he told us that he has come to install my AC. We were surprized to see him as a Hitachi technician.

                    We were also assured at the time of purchase that the Hitachi engineer will come for Demo, but till date no one has visited us . Even we did not get a single call from Hitachi about the feed back of their product and services. They have also not done free service as per their commitment.

                    Isn't this rediculous? The word fame Co. does not know the business ethics and saying they are no. one.

                    So gentlemen my slogan for Hitachi is

                    " WORLD CLASS AC with THIRD CLASS AFTER SALES SERVICE"

                    i fully agree with your complaint there is no proper service backup for hitachi air conditioners company has outsoured everything to local dealers expert in looting common man installation is done by dealers which is not upto the mark i suggest this company should be closed
                    All the companies in India know very well that customer can be exploited as much as it can be. There is no way you can get justice. All the promises are given till you buy the product then their attitude mostly is “go to hell”. Because even if one out of 100 go to court, he will be fighting his case for years and may spend the money many times than the price of the product he had bought. If you lodge a complaint, then a mechanic who comes may charge money more than a medical doctor charges.

                    We the Indian customers, feel cheated, exploited and totally helpless.
                    I m Having 10 Ac's of Hitachi iota of 1.5 Tons form last 5 mounths my 3 units are not working proper, ac's are not giving proper cooling.
                    1. In first visit by dealer of Hitachi they said that my room are exposed from sides beacause its a new house my both sides are open.but in that case my same ground floor room's ac is giving proper cooling.
                    2. Second visit after many follow ups they said that gas is less in ac's they fill the gas and charge form us.but still colling is less
                    3. In third visit they said gas is over now they charge their visit charges form us but porblem is still same.
                    4. Fourth visit one of Ac's compresser is failed they took 20 days to change my Compresser which was under warranty after many reminders.They charge 2500/- from me also.
                    5. Problem is still on, know they are saying my ac's Capasitor is failed i mentiond all my remarks on service report but still nobody came to change that.my ac's are not giving cooling.

                    6.on my Fourth ac. i spent around 5000/- on services in this year, first time cooling was less, somebody came form company he washed my ac. after 2-3 days my AC was not working they Charge 2000/- for some card.this was second time i paid for card.

                    I m facing very problems from my Ac's.Hitachi is worst brand in Ac.

                    My brother and me with my kids sleeping is one room from last 30 days beacause are Ac's are not working proper.

                    We had bought a HITACHI-1 ton window AC from vijay sales, Sion branch on 27th March 2009.

                    After few weeks of purchase, it started giving some weird noise. We lodged the same complaint to the service centre in Prabhadevi (as told by sion branch, vijay sales) and their engineer visited us and identified that there was some problem with the swing operation and he tried rectifying it by several means. Every time we place this complaint with them, some engineer would come and do something and then that noise would be stopped for hardly a day and again it starts. We have put this complaint several times in last one year but none of their service centre guy is able to rectify this.

                    We are worried now that possibly there is some defect in this particular piece and same has been told by one of local service centre engineer also. Our AC's warranty would expire by the end of this month and I am struggling hard to get the permanent solution done to this problem before that..

                    I would like to register my strong complaint against M/S National
                    Aircon, Mumbai for their service quality regarding my Hitachi Window
                    AC.

                    1. The response time is terrible. The service engineer showed up 3
                    days after submitting my request for service.
                    2. The service engineer was rude, untrained had no ID and had poor
                    personal hygene.

                    in my AC being kept in insecure premises for over 1 day. I was
                    promised same day pick 3 times !!! Yet no one showed up to pick my AC
                    which was removed by National Aircon person till the next day.
                    4. I am given an arbitrary amount of Rs 2500 for Gas replacement. Is
                    this fair? What guarantee do I get for this service.

                    I urge you to take action against complaint at the earliest and
                    communicate to me the same failing which I will escalate this to the
                    next level.

                    I have 2 Hitachi Quadri cool 1.5 ton and one 2 ton split AC at my Noida residence, which I purchased 2 years back. The
                    installation was done by Khyber Air Conditioning team. I spoke to the owner of Khyber company Mr Sabbir and found him
                    a good gentleman. He told me that his company is the only authorized service provider for Hitachi in Noida & Ghaziabad
                    region. So I have taken AMC of all the 3 ACs after completion on 1 year of warranty. I also have one LG Airconditioner
                    and they have included that AC also in their AMC contract. I have paid Rs 9700/- (approx) for the AMC charges for period
                    15th May 2009 to 14th May 2010. I was told by Mr Sabbir that his company does 3 servicing during the year apart from
                    any other problem on call. I trusted them because they are sole authorized service provider for world class ogranization
                    and product like Hitachi. I checked with Hitachi customer care and they also told me that Khyber is the authorized
                    service provider for Hitachi.
                    Here is my experienc with Khyber. I have been calling this company for servicing my Airconditioner for last 10 days and
                    4 times they promissed the date and time to visit to my place and till today no one visited to my place. Every time we call
                    their office, there was a standard answer that the person is on the way and reaching your home in 30 minutes. That
                    30 minutes never came till today. This exactly happen in August 2009 as well when we were closing down the AC and
                    request Khyber team to come and service the ACs before closing but with repeated request NO ONE came to
                    visit our place.
                    Today I am one of the most frustrating customer of Hitachi family and regretting WHY I have purchased Hitachi product
                    which have such a useless service provider after sales and also having NO RESPECT to the client.
                    I have already started informing all my colleague to discontinue the AMC with Khyber because it's a waste of money to
                    get AMC with this company. I have also started looking for someone local or LG or Godrej Service provider to support
                    my ACs and take AMC.

                    I seriously request Hitachi Management to look for someone else to identify as Service provider in this region, if they
                    want to continue their world class brand.. They are loosing their brand name due to such bad service provider after
                    sales services. Company like Khyber carried Hitachi name with them and with such a bad or rather worst client support,
                    the ultimate looser is HITACHI.

                    I have already decided to file a case in Consumer Forum. Rs 9700/- does matter to us but the frustration and harrasement
                    faced by me and my family, forced me to take this decision.

                    Third class Service and WORST after sales behavior - Give some days and HITACHI WOULD BE KNOWN FOR IT. I got nuts within days of buying an Hitachi AC Qudracool Twin motor 1.5 tons in starting March 2010. Nobody is listening to what i am saying, all what everyone says is about customer care. The fools on the phone have little but no knowledge of anything, the numbers are too limited and you would prefer driving to that place rather than calling them as these people do not have any bandwidth to support any customers. Their services and support structure are so out of place that one would repent buying an Hitachi... I would say no matter how much you have heard about HITACHI - please believe me these people do not care after their product have been sold to the customer.
                    Its just the season onset and these people tell you that they have lot of pressure and it takes 3 days to cater to your need and thats their first comment - they have no urgency for the customer and no regard to the customer needs - They are a house full of cheats minting money down their pockets and just playing the game of ignorance. I am one such victim who has spent his precious 29000/ on omething which I could have bought in 20k...                     Hitachi AC Quadricool TM — Harrassment in Servicing the AC

                    A request for servicing my AC(under warranty period) was put to Hitachi call Center on 26th of March 2010. the customer care executive registered my request under the request No.[protected]. even after repeated requests thereafter, my AC has not been serviced yet, and it has been more than 25 days since the initial request was made.on 07/04/2010, I had a talk again with a Senior Servicing Official of Hitachi Mr. Mohan Narayan who promised me a service within 24 Hrs. But still the request has not been met. I have been making hundreds of calls to their call center as well as their franchisees, still no result. i feel mentally harrassed and cheated. kindly take my complain and do the needful.

                    Hitachi — Frequent gas leaks from home air conditioners

                    We have installed Hitachi split and window airconditioners at our house. Every few months, the gas leaks and the repairman has to come, solder the leakage and fill the gas again causing us to spend thousands of rupees every month.

                    On complaining, we are told that since our apartment is near the Najafgarh Sewage canal, the fumes from the canal cause holes in the pipes causing the gas to leak and there is no cure for the same.

                    It is very frustrating to hear from branded and reputed manufacturers that they have no solution for a problem that afflicts so many people and if they come with a solution, they will sell so many more ACs.

                    hitachi airconditioners — Brand New Hitachi Split AC not working

                    Sir, we bought a Hitachi Airconditioner, SPLIT, 0.9 Ton on 8th March 2010 and got it installed the same day. Since the time it was installed, the Airconditioner isnt working properly. The air conditioner refuses to cool an area of less than 100 Sqft, even after running continously for 8 hrs. We registered their complaint with Toll Free Call centre and prompltly gave us a reference # for the complaint. Since then we have been following with pillar to post to get one service personnel of hitachi to look in to the complaint and rectify. Today we spoke to Chennai Hitachi Service team and their representative said they are very busy because of summer and would look in to it only if the call centre assigns them with the complaint. The service Manager Mr. Sathish refused to come on line to offer any comments.

                    With summer on its peak, and with companies like these who sell faulty airconditioners and refuse to service makes consumers like me taken for big spin.

                    Kindly request someone to look in to this complaint and offer us some relief.

                    I have an 1.5 ton window A/C made by your company. Which is creating a lot of trouble after yearly wet service done by the mechanic of your franchise "M/S J.K. Enterprise" at Durgapur (West Bengal). The said service was done on 6th March 2010.As the weather after that was a bit cool for some days, we started to use the A/C from 3rd week of March. From the very beginning the cooling was inadequate, but we couldn't detect the fault due to fluctuation of weather. When we informed M/S J.K.Enterprise about the problem they were eager to inform us about further charges they need to attend to our problem rather than inspecting the machine & doing the needful. Finally they came after 9 (nine) days paying a deaf response to our repeated requests during that period. Opened the machine, looked hither & thither, couldn't find anything, said there was an wire disconnected within, and they have fixed it. Henceforth the machine will be alright. Charged me Rs.200/- and went away. But the fault remained as it was.
                    I believe these people lack proper expertise to inspect a machine or repair it in a right manner. Last night when we couldn't sleep due to low cooling of the A/C, I have detected the actual fault with my limited electrical knowledge. The blower is not working properly, because the blower fan speed didn't respond to the change I made between slow, medium & fast. I think the motor of the blower has been damaged.
                    I hope the company should take proper step, so that consumers are not fooled & fleeced.

                    it was installed after complain and when there was no male family member available at home i.e. during office hour;
                    It was installed so carelessy, its water pipe gets disconnection and pouring water on bed.Also, its remote control is malfunctioning besides free stablizer provided by your dealer is not working (faulty metre).
                    Attitue of instllation mechanics were very rude and misleading;
                    Resultatnly, intentionally water pipe left loose and now it will be difficult to correct being underground fittings.
                    Even now, the complaint is not attended on holidays i.e. saturday or sunday as promised your attendant on consumer care officer.

                    I have purchased a window AC of hitachi from e-zone paschim vihar, new delhi on 15.04.2010 delievered on 17.04.2010 installted on 18.04.2010 by shettal aircon authorised service centre. But I am sorry to say it does not run even for a second right from the moment of its installation. Now Iam roaming around the dealer to replace the same without any fruitful result. Hence it is my sincere advice please do not buy this product.

                    Stated that matter has been sorted out with the company through e-zone now I have no complaint against the product and e-zone.

                    HAIER INDIA 1 ton AC — Non replacement of Air Conditioner

                    I had purchased 1 ton Window AC for my office in Goregaon (W). The dealer (Freez Engineering - Kalpakkam) had sent the new PC board to the company (Hitachi AC Chrompet) on Dec 2009. For the last 5 months i have been contacting the dealer as well as the Hitachi service people. Both are cheating.                     Myself purchased Window hitachi ac m/c on 02.06.2007. The PC board got out of order on 2009 and again on 05/2010. Local service center repaired PCB for first time and now again they are engaged in repairing work. I found myself in trouble by purchasing Hitachi ac m/c. Although I am covered under AMC from local service center in Kolkata, the damaged PCB is not being replaced by a new one.                     This is to inform you that my neighbour staying at C/601, Synchronicity purchased a new Hitachi Split Air Conditioner who is staying above my flat. The technicians from Hitachi came to install the A/C in flat no. C/601 but while fitting the A/C the hammer fell in to the acrylic sheet which was fitted on my balcony and the same broke in to pieces. I informed the customer who stays at C/601, they informed me that you take the reimbursement from the technicians as the same is there fault. The incident happened on 8th November, 2010 & today its 17th November, 2010. Almost 10 days has passed nobody from Hitachi solved my problem & they didn't had the courtsey to come and visit the site. I spoke to Mr.Makadun ([protected]) and Mr.David ([protected]) of Hitachi but with no response.

                    Is this the way Hitachi works making a nuisance & disturbing the other customers. I require a favorable reply, who will reimburse me the cost for acrylic sheet fitted in my balcony ??

                    Requesting a speedy response or I have to take legal actions against Hitachi

                    Hitachi Airconditioner — complaint regarding periodical maintenance not attended

                    I have compained to Hitachi customer care regarding not carrying out the periodical service on 14/04/2011 and they have given us req. No. [protected] but the complaint not attended till date i.e. 28/04/2011.
                    Yes, this is very true even I am one of customers of Hitachi and Now I am fed up of their services. From the last 7 days, I continuing remind them about the problem in my AC but nothing happened, no engineer has visited yet. Why are you cheated everyone? This is really disgusting...I think guys we all need to take action against them, so that they stop exploited us...

                    Haier AC not working — Newly Purchased AC not working

                    We had purchsed a new Haier AC from VIjay Sales and its not even 6 months we have been facing issues with the AC.

                    From past one month the AC is not in a working condition and we have been compliaining to the Haier company for its repair but we have been ignored to the core.

                    I Have purchased the aircon 1.2 ton invoise number-k-01180/11-12...from kalpana digitals,lakshmi nager...vikas marg...new delhi.on 7th may 11.

                    i have paid for the installation for the pipe at the show room which is 15oo rs...then the fitting guy took 6000 rs from us for the copper which is installed extra in the aircon.

                    now my problem is that the copper pipe fitting and the air con fitting is not satisfactory and done in a very un professional way.....and the work is not even complted by the fitters....and they are demanding more money...
                    please look into this matter or else i will complaint to the consumer cort.

                    I bought a 1.5TR Split Hitachi (Follow me) 5Star SM-100C34766 on 20.08.10 from Shrishti Enterprises Sec-7, Rohini. The day it was installed I faced a problem with the cooling part of it which was very disappointing. I have spoken to the dealer many times, but no one is coming for the services and to rectify the problem in the AC. The dealer is not hesitant for any complaint against him. The kind of treatment I am getting right now is awful. Look into the matter and do the needful.

                    Hitachi — Consuming heavy units and NOISE

                    I had bought a Hitachi Airconditioner from Reliance digital Ambiance mall Gurgaon on 15 May 2011 . It is consuming 5 units of electricity per hour where as a normal AC consumes only 2 Units per hour. On top of this it is making a lot of NOISE which is not at all bearable. If anyone can please help !!
                    1)I totally agree that Hitachi after sales service is below one star and they claim that they make 5 star Acs.
                    2) Hitachi being a japanese company and threfore i am surprised at this state of affair even after 25 years operation in India.
                    3)If they provide this type of service in Japan they will be wiped off in sunami
                    4) today 23-05-11after 6 days of nightmare Hitachi persons visited my home to installing new window Quadricool Ac. I am an retired automobile engineer .I was hocked to see the Quality of techinician and the tools they had . Hitachi home & life solutions should be ashamed of providing such a third rate service.There was no HITACHI JAPAN touch anywhere .I had no other option but to call them because i had purchased my Ac thru internet.
                    5) No preinstallation visit is made to ascertain exact requirement of frame for proper installation.You are made to run pillar to post to arrage for installation.Finally i had to contact their HO in Delhi.
                    6) They charge rs 550 for window Ac whereas Hitachi dealer in Borivali (where i stay)charges rs 300.

                    to summarise? GOD ONLY CAN SAVE HHIL. THEY HAVE SET UP A NEW EXPANSION PLANT IN GUJRAT. With such a horrible service will they get any customers requiring enhancement of prod capacity?

                    Hitachi Window Type AC — Not attending periodic maintenance service

                    I have bought the window type Hitachi AC 1.5 T capacity in Jul 2010. The company has to carryout the free periodical maintenance within a year time i.e. up to Jul 2011. I lodged the request for periodical maintenance on 14/04/11 and company gave me request NO.                     I will suggest people to not fall into trap of "best in it's class product". A product is useless if it is not intalled properly or not serviced when required. After paying 30 thousand and investing 10 days I can say that go for any brand but Hitachi.

                    When we spoke at 3:PM today, I was promised that the engineers would come in an hour. After one and a half hours, I have been informed that they can only come after 7:30 PM in the night.

                    Your contractor "Rajesh Gupta" (from "Arian Enterprises") called me and said that if I want the AC problem to be rectified, I have to make my self available as per their timings. I am utterly surprised that after encashing around thirty thousand rupees, Hitachi and it's service provider are restoring to blackmailing.

                    I have already paid Rs 500 for the installation and I am sure those 30 thousand had a part of money meant for customer service. So I am not "begging" at you. It is rather something that I should "demand" from you. Hitachi is crossing it's limits.

                    I had requested for the escalation process with contacts when I got a call from your customer support lady from your head office. The same was promised to me. I am surprised, I haven't got it. I wonder if there is any responsible person within Hitachi?

                    The problem is due to your service people only. I don't think they really want to sort this out. I had spoken to Mr Rishi on Monday and he had promised to send an engineer on Tuesday after 5:PM, however no one turned up. I called your Service Manager Mr Sangram Patel and he said that the area where I stay is under Aryan Enterprises and disconnected the phone. He did not answerer the phone on repeated retries.

                    Aryan Enterprises had sent an engineer, who turned up yesterday without appointment, however, the person said that he can only look into the issues like improper cooling, fan not working etc, and can not look into fitting issues. Anyways, engineers from Aryan had earlier visited and have attributed the issue mainly with this particular model. They are not of much help. It was their engineer who had messed up with the unit with improper installation.

                    I went through the installation guidelines on the product hand book and noticed the following issues.
                    1. The water collection try was found in the box, it has not been installed.
                    2. The front panel screws were still inside the packet, some other screws were used to fix the front panel.
                    3. The inclination is not proper, the tilt should have been on the back side. The unit is rather tilting towards front.

                    I hope Hitachi will be able to send someone from their engineering team to see the problems themselves and provide a remedy.

                    I had purchased the Hitachi AC believing it being the best in it's class. However, the machine is very noisy and the whole room vibrates when the compressor runs. The service provided by your outsourced vendor is pathetic and the worst part is that there is no one in Hitachi who is willing to attend to the customer issues. Complaints logged by me are closed without my consent and the customer care open a new complaint every 3-4 days without caring for the resolution of the problem. My effort of escalating the issue through your call center did not brought any results and now I am fed up with Hitachi and it's service.

                    I had bought the AC on 24th May and it was installed by your service provider engineers on 28 May. (I had actually asked the customer care to send engineers only from Hitachi as the sales person had warned me, however, in spite of my specific request, they had send an untrained engineer from the vendor). On the same day, I had logged a complaint regarding the high level of noise from the AC. In response to the complaint a technician visited and said that the noise level is normal and that the main problem is with the particular model I have purchased. However, I do not agree. Hitachi is known for it's quality and low decibel noise.

                    Request you to please send a senior technician or a person from Hitachi attend to the issue. I have lost faith with your service provider "Aryan Enterprises" as the installation had been done very badly by them and now they are trying to pass on the problem as the product issue.

                    I bought Hitachi AC from M/S Jannat, 139, Kunjpura road, Karnal vide Invoice no. JR 1219 dated 6.09.10. RAU 018KQBD (Hitachi SAC). it is very surprising that such a reputed and presitigious company can be such ignorant to its customers. From the last six months, we have been dealing with one or more of its problem. we got such bad response from this dealer of karnal. on great persuasion he finally sent his aide, ANIL to our house to repair AC and replaced the part. it again didnt work. the response was ""oohho galat part dal gaya"" company se iska part aaegya to replace kar doonga. After that day, they simply are doing nothig but to wait that purchase of one year is over.Such a bad treatment. i spent the almost whole summer without AC. AC does not even start because of poor part installation.It is requested that please look in the matter otherwise i will have no other option except to go to court.

                    HITACHI AIR CONDITIONERS 1.5 TON SPLIT FOLLOW ME — Unsatisfactory performance

                    I had Purchased the unit in April 2010 and after installation its Follow me was not working, that complaint was not resolved even after two visits of technicians and they said due to location of Tubelights and AC follow me is not working properly.
                    Subsequently AC cooling was not at all effective. On this complaint they did not do anything till the time my Warranty expired and then they came up with solution that they will recharge with gas and charge 2360+385 for same.

                    I would not recomment any one to buy Hitachi aircons as they are double the cost of other available in market and in efficiency and servicing far below than normal Korean products like samsung/ LG.

                    Would recomment Voltas product as I have been using the AC of that company from last 15 years without a single complaint.
                    I totally agree with the fact that after sales services of Hitachi SUCK big time. I too never got any call from the company for any feedback after the purchase. No free maintenance service was provided ever in spite of being reminded repeatedly. The request for AMC takes days to be catered to.

                    I had bought a window AC from Hitachi 3 years back and till now every year i have been getting the service done from outside. This particular month I had called on 9th April requesting for a new remote control as it got damaged in an accident. I also requested to provide the maintenance service. I was assured i will be contacted by the technician within 48 Hours. For whole one week i did not hear from anybody. On 16th April i had called to check the status. I was told about the cause of the delay of more than 7 days is the seasonal rush but was assured that someone will contact me by evening the same day. on 17th April that is today morning, I called up again to check the status, as nobody had called up day before, as promised. I was told that my request has been registered on 16th April and I should wait for 72 hours.When i reminded the customer care guy that my first request was registered on 9th April, i was told that there is no such request in their computer record for 9th April. I was zapped that the original record had been deleted because of whatever reasons- (my guess is) mainly because the request has not been taken care of for more than a week and that might look very bad in their service report.

                    So now the request Date is16th April at 10:30 am. More than 30 hours have passed and I have received no status update yet.
                    Hitachi's customer care unit in Kolkata is most callous and non performing. Hitachi should be brought to the floor of court for such unethical business practices.

                      I bought a Hitachi Quadra cool Window AC from Viveks and co on February 2008. It was delivered on second day and installed. But from the day one of the installation the AC was making a grinding noise . The AC was suppose to be silent one. But the noise was initialling like whistling. Then it aggravated. I complained and the service people attended. The noise reduced but was still there. It aggravated again and again i called for service. They came and attended to it. They found something wrong but never told us. My wife and old parents are at home. So they give some reason make the noise reduce by tightening and they leave . Meanwhile they came for maintenance ( first) service when i complained again. They checked and said they have rectified it was good for a week and again it came. Then i called and wrote to Hitachi, who promptly replied that since i Bought from Viveks onlythey will have to handle and they washed hands. The viveks service people will come promptly for service but will not rectifiy. Infact for one Preventive maintenance service, without visiting my premises the tech has signed himself and submitted saying that he has completed fearing i will not sign the report as the problem was persisting. Now the noise is very high and when i again tell them, they are saying it is out of warranty and i have to pay for service.

                      This is rididculous.

                      I want to file consumer case, and can anybody help in this regard. I bought in chennai tnagar viveks.

                          I bought this model after comparing its technical specification as claimed by Hitachi and Hitachi's brand image with other manufacturers from its dealer M/s Shyam Enterprises, Bhilai(Durg) on 30th Jan 09. How ever to my disappointment the company delivered a defective machine. The front grill was defective as the front control panel cover did not close. The verticle air deflectors come of their mounting when one tries to adjust .From day one the machine shakes inside its chasis when the condensor fan and compressor runs. I can actually enjoy the sound of railway train in my room. When the manufacturing defect was brought to the notice of dealer on first day itsself, one service personal visited two days later and tried to fix the problem by inserting some wooden packing between the machine and its chasis but counld not fix it. After giving some irrelevent excuses he vanished. The matter was than brought to the notice of customer care over telephone on 5th Jan where it was promised that the complain would be attended within 48 hours. since then nobody fronm Hitachi has bothered to attend it. Three emails sent to the company have remained unanswered. This is what you get from Hitachi after paying Rs 25500. When I tried to contact Mr Shinichi Lizuka the CEO and MD the person on the other end of the phone made sure that I dont get to talk to him. So you can now judge the quality control practices (japanese Quality control practices)of this company. Customer service after supplying a defective product is probably does not seem to be the part in their business rules. Having burnt my hands by buying this Hitachi product I think I should gift this machine to Mr Lizuka on his birthday. Even after reading this if you decided to buy this Hitachi product my advice is not to pay a single paise to Hitachi unless the machine is installed and running to your satisfaction.
                          IF YOU THINK YOUR MONEY IS HARD EARNED AND PRECIOUS THAN DONT BUY A HITACHI PRODUCT...

                            I purchaged 2TON Hitachi ATOM square AC from Home Town some 4 months back . when Hitachi guys came for the installation they didn't followed the installation manual and they started faulty installation . when I talked to there senior consulatant then they came to know hwo to install that AC . Now I want my money back from Home Town while they r saying you have to purchase another product of the same amount . My AC cost 50500 INR. Its my money why should I purchase any thing from such shop who has such attitude towards the customer. why I should I suffer for the mistake done by Hitachi or Home Town . They should settel this matter . I want my money back

                              I purchased HITACHI AC ..it worked fine for 1 months after that it DIED...no COOLING...nothing..I complaint in HITACHI customer care..No response..area service manager is not responding..its really hard to live in INDA (Faridabad, HARYANA) in this time..temp goes to 45, 46...nobody is taking care of anyhting..area manager said they dont have any stock.they keep on delaying...now they said it will take 15 dayz to get the new one..coz STOCK is finished...wtf...STOP HITACHI..and i m here widout the AC..after spending 26000 rs...for QUADRICOOL TM ac...i must have bought LG or samsung AC instead of HITACHI they know...the customer needs...service is good...my mother is a victim of skin disease..and as prescribed by doctor...she needs to b in ac ..and now she is having a very hard time to manage...as weather is too HOT...STOP HITACHI in INDIA..i will be the most happiest person in this world..if this gets possible...

                              Poor after sales support all over india.
                              No body is to hear complaints excepts customer care for time pass.

                              Wastage of money to buy hitachi after spent 26 K (Costliest machine)
                              Poor n slowest Airflow as compare to O General, Voltas Vertis Plus, Carrier Durakool.
                              Very less cooling.
                              High consumption due to continuous operation n slow cooling.
                              They will charge high after warranty but no solution at all evn after warranty too.

                              Its a good machine only for rainy season not for screeching summer season.
                              Try to replace with another brand and refund tht amount if possible.
                              I m still fighting for the same.

                              Go for OGeneral i[censored] wanna spent 23 K for best japanese cooling machine.
                              Else go for Carrier Durakool (Junior OG) or voltas at 19K

                              Below complaint I have sent on 03rd July2008 regarding my window Airconditioner for which I got a reply on 16.09.2008 from Hitachi Customer Casre, almost after Six Months.

                              On 12th May 2009 I again call at Hitachi Customer Complaint Centre for some problem in my AC Vide Complaint Number[protected], the service engineer has visited and found a leakage of gas. I have told him take the AC at their service centre and thoroughly checked the same, as this is the second time in one year where I have faced this Gas Leakage problem, but he overheard my request & fill the gas only at my residence . Now after two months again the Gas Leakage problem exists . I am very much disappointed with the performace of my AC. I want to change my AC immidiately, as this the THIRD TIME in a span of ONE YEAR where I have faced "GAS LEAKAGE PROBLEM"

                              I purchase window AC last year. Just after 1 year of warranty is passed, gas is completely leaked out of my AC. I made complaint (ref Number :- [protected]) in AC service center for last 8 days and only thing they did, they sent an engineer to check my problem and told me that it has to be towed away to repair center but even after 8 days no one has come yet. I have the record of all the email communication that I made with them but all in vain. The don&#039;t listen calls or rarely respond to your mails. NEVER PURCHASE HITACHI. Thats my humble request to everyone otherwise if your AC gets any problem, you will go through a horror time for sure.

                              i have bought in March 2011 split AC 1.2 tone above mentioned model from HITACHI autherised showroom and they have installed the ac (installation done by hitachi Home &life solution India) patparganj Delhi
                              since the whether in delhi March and April was good there was no requirment of AC so i have started using last week.
                              The Ac was not at all coolling the room so i made complaint on 31 st April complaint number [protected].
                              After repeated follow Technician came on 4th May checked and said the capacitor problem so he came next day and replaced in 5th may. no effect of cooling complaint was made again He came and checked again on 6th may he said there is requirement of Gas filling.
                              Again repeated follow up 7th May the gas was filled by the technician .on that night I could not able to sleep again the ac was not cooling.
                              . I last the Hope in HITACHI. I was having Good image on HITACHI. That is why I paid more for the AC. Now the service centre is not picking up the call and u the helpline number35324848 server is down and they are not able to register my complaint.
                              after repeated followup technician came on 8th may said the outder unit is to be replaced .

                              I fully agree with your opinion.Five days before I had logged a complain regarding my ac problem, but till now no body has came to resolve the problem.
                              The new split A/C Hitachi Kaze 3 star was been purchased & installed at my residence - 17 / 64 Punjabi bagh west, New Delhi - 26...but just after the installation it came to our notice that the A/C swing is not working .
                              Further to followup i spoke to my Dealer on that .. but he had to say that i cant help you in any way as its not me who gives guarantee & warranty ;you have to call the Hitachi cutomer care & register your complain ( [protected][protected]after registring my complain i was been given a complaint number([protected]) registered on 20th may'2011.
                              I was been told your complain would be attended with in three working days, unfortunately my complain was attended on 25th may'2011 at 8:20 pm.

                              This complain was been attended by me calling / following up with the customer care for at least 13 to 15 times.

                              I believe this complain got little priority when i spoke to some one senior in Hitachi bearing mobile number--[protected].His initiative had helped me for at least a visit by hitachi service personnel to find out a problem .

                              After physically inspecting the unit the service personnel( [protected]) tried operating the unit swing with remote but could not be successful.He also mentioned that the blower unit need to be opened in order to repair the motor, but me & my father did not want another blunder to happen where the newly installed Air conditioner unit to have an repaired part installed to it.

                              Thus at the end i could only say... till now the Hitachi experience has given enough memorable bad experiences...and to continue further i do not have a choice of getting the money back & opting for a new A/C of a different brand... i would like to say at the end to replace a new unit from the company without delaying the process and not giving further few more unbearable bad moments to continue any further.

                              I presume my request would be taken seriously and the company will prioritize the action ASAP before Summer season diminishes .

[protected], [protected] - On 10/06/2011 .but just after the installation Out Door Unit Dose Not Work Properly ( No Colling) - I Have Complane No.[protected] - I Talk Service Center At Ahmedabad [protected] Mr.Rutik - But No Responce Me Till Date (15/06/2011)
                              i have purchached split air conditioner on dated[protected] from manoranjan, kota, rajasthan. i have been log the complaint that my AC not working since[protected].service man came and checked it and found pcb faulty, till date pcb not replaced with new one.
                              service is so poor, i have also logged complaint through web supporting service on dated[protected]. what should i do?
                              pls do needfull.

                              Hitachi — change the emi date

                              I have got a SMS with log in details to view my loan ac.and when i saw my loan details,I saw that my EMI starting date is from 5/7/2011 and the ending date is till 5/6/2012 instead of 5/2/2012.As i have paid the down payment of RS-10,000/- and 8*2500. So please do the correction and change the ending date that is 5/2/2012.

                              Hitachi — Return Of Warranty Issue

                              i purchased hitachi harddisk which is having 3 years of warranty now it is in warranty due to some prob. of hdd i submit it to company on 23nov 2011 now RMA 36693314 nd i cant get my hdd return upto now my exams are there so i cant wait for my hdd long nd dey people told us dat dey r facing prob. in india nd hcl nd hitachi isssue so dey cant give me hdd back in 2 weeks so what can i do????

                              I bought Hitache ACE on 27 Apr 2012. Installation itself they did it on 30 Apr 2012. Still the water pipe is not fixed correctly. I raised request for this - [protected].
                              They used to say 48 hours we will resolve this issue. But no action is taken at all. Very very poor service.. :(. They are harrasing more. Is there a way to suite a case against them for not responding?

                              I have purchased a new HITACHI WINDOW A.C 1.5 TON ( RAW-318KSDP) from SARGAM ELECTRONICS (Paschim Vihar) New Delhi on cash payment on 19 JUNE 2012, on the same day it was not working complaint lodged ( [protected]).

                              ON 21 june the technician came and declared it FAULTY and sent an advice for REPLACEMENT since then despite of various COMPLAINTS and CALLING over to more than 10 staff but nobody was taking any serious action and bothered to solve our problem.

                              This kind of INDIFFERENT ATTITUTE is not expected from such a REPUTED COMPANY.

                              These machines were installed in the new residence of the undersigned who is a director of the company.


                              As the residence was in the various phases of construction over last year, the Air conditioners were installed in phases hence, you find multiple purchase dates of the same. While I write this letter 2 Units are yet to be installed.


                              The Machines have been put to use now with the onset of summers in Agra, since the last fortnight or so and have a plethora of problems, some landed up with broken fans, blown up circuits, and most importantly very poor and erratic cooling by all of them. One Unit has been removed for Refrigerant Leakage and in the middle of our living room are two protruding pipes from the wall, a Hitachi piece de art!!!


                              With the ambient temperature still hovering around 35 ⁰ C the machines have already buckled up. Their Grille temperatures are varying from 11⁰ C to 21 ⁰ C!! I shudder at the thought when Agra clocks 48⁰ C ~ 50⁰ C.


                              Your local team at Agra have really not been able address the problems.


                              You will kindly appreciate that these Air Conditioners are installed at a residence and technicians walking in and out of a home perpetually is causing a lot of stress and agony to the entire family, moreover, there are issues where the technicians while working have ruined newly painted walls of a house which I am sure you will again appreciate is a major grey area for the lady of the house. These machines which were bought for the comfort of a family are actually causing a lot of hardship to them and I have been repeatedly asked time and again by them to replace them with another brand notwithstanding the losses which will be incurred in the process.



                              I am writing this letter of agony to the highest level in a hope that my problems will be redressed at the earliest.

                              Service is horrible. Requested for Servicing for a new unit after 1 year then technician came and broke the swinging blade. then complained again then another technician came and broke the swinging blade and local service manager says it is not their problem. Looks like customers are mad call for servicing and break the appliance.

                              Hitachi — HITACHI SPLIT AC NOT WORKING AFTER 15 months

                              I Purchased 2 Hitachi ACs (1 Split & 1 Window) on 30 March 2012. Within 15 months, the Split AC is not working. Hitachi service engineers advise to replace the motor at my cost. Within 15 months how it can happen? Was it a used machine inside? Should be replaced immediately.

                              Hitachi — Horrible experience

                              Horrible experience. Had my TV 3wks. and it just died. Had to go through hell to get Hitachi to even get me an in home service even though i have a warranty that says i get in home service. Then i was told it would take 3 wks just to get the part. i have been without my brand new $800.00 tv for over a month now.

                                we went to purchase the fridge at electronic shop, there we chose the hitachi 306 ltr fridge. we told to dealer we want hitachi fridge but not display piece we want fresh and pack piece. dealer assured us that he will send us fresh and pack piece, i marked on that piece, when they delivered the fridge i was shocked to see that dealer sent same piece which we seen at his shop, we contected to dealer he told by mistake it has happened within 2 days i will replace your item but 45 days over now dealer is telling that hitachi fridge is not available in market you take another fridge. now i want to ask to hitachi company wheather they don't have piece or dealer is fooling us.i feel that i have been cheated.

                                  Bought very expensive 1 ton Quadricool twin Motor top of the line window Air Conditioner 2.5 yrs back. The A.C technician while installing informed me aboout substandard Printed circuit board (PCB) used by Hitachi, but I did not believe him since Hitachi is a reputed Japanese company. Unfortunately after the initial one year the PCB has burnt out twice (just after warranty period).

                                  The authorised repairing agency in Mumbai "National Aircon" charges Rs.2250 + visiting charges each time for replacing the PCB with no warranty on replaced part. HAve spent about Rs.5000 on twice replacing PCB of A.C less than 3 yrs old. My other cheaper A.C's Samsung (4yrs old) and Voltas (2 yrs old) are working without any problem, how come Hitachi is selling substandard produts in India without any bother to its reputation.

                                  Wanted to sell it but got offer of about Rs.4000/- only. I feel cheated by Hitachi for selling me a lemon and not reponding to my complaints on their India and Global websites feedback/contact section. Moral of the story Japanese brands/quality are no longer what they used to be and insteads the Koreans/Indians are better and cheaper to maintain. No Hitachi for my friends and family forever.

                                  I agree with you 100 %. The customer complaint department does not respond. The dealers are frauds and the service people are sold out to local dealers. The company works wose than a govt. deptt.
                                  I bought 7 AC's, out of which 2 never worked. No responce to numerous calls and e mails.
                                  Would recoomend Indian brands, with good service back up. Hitachi's improper selection of dealers will soon lead it to its doom in the Indian market.
                                  I am also a victim of Hitachi substandard product. I purchased Hitachi in May'08 and immediately started complaining to the dealer and thereafter to the company, but their response is lukewarm. They keep advertising newer products to lure the vulnerable customers, but Hitachi products are nowhere near any of the low ended products in the market. So much so the customer care is high headed and do not heed to the customer's plea. The delaying tactics have ended up in one year and now they tell me that I will get depreciation of 30% if I want to return the product. I had used my savings to purchase this product. But now I do not know what to do. I had purchased an LG at the same time which is giving me much better service and cooling. What is now the use of writing the complaint in these columns if we as customers do not get justice in today's consumer friendly scenario.Please find ways to help
                                  I bought a 1.5 ton Hitachi quadricool last month and i must admit that their customer care is pathetic. There is no sense of ownership and the complaints just go unnoticed. Also there was a faulty piece of equipment in the brand new AC right out of the showroom. They replaced it only after 10 days of constant calls to their customer care center.
                                  Dear Sir,
                                  The customer care and the after sales service is very highly unsatisfactory. There should be qualified engineers specially trained to repair your air-conditioners at the site who can deliver quality service at reasonable rates. Your ACs already cost almost double the generally available brands in the market and after seeing them being dissected in the most harrowing way at our level by semi-technical persons does not go well with the hope with which we purchase your product and your image too..
                                  Additionally, I would request you to kindly come up with suitable voltage stabilizers, even built in stabilizers
                                  capable of handling the extremes of voltage fluctuations which are so common out of 4 metros and perhaps the state capitals.

                                  I bought 2 Hitachi Quadricool AC's in April 2008. I bought Hitachi, which is priced higher than most Korean Brands, however i always thought that Hitachi products were better.
                                  One AC continues to work just fine while the other AC has had to have Gas refilling done twice already. So much to say about Hitachi AC's.

                                  Called up the service head of Delhi and he picked up the phone and then put it back on the hook. Shows the level of professionalism of the personnel.

                                  Suggest that no one buys Hitachi, till they dont improve their levels of quality and service.
